Our Prayer Box Legacy - simply journaling our prayers - led my other grandchildren (Levi and Olivia) to accept the Lord Jesus into their hearts.  A simple yet profound first step! Deuteronomy 6:7 tells us to diligently teach the Word of God to our children:  “Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up” (NLT).  These are more seeds being sown in their lives.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. We should be aware that mental health is a fact. However, we must recognize the truth found in the Word of God.  Jesus is The way, The truth, and The light. He is The Solution! John 14:6

There are many causes of mental illness.  Some prominent Biblical figures even suffered from this dreaded condition. As believers in The Lord Jesus Christ, we must arm ourselves and be prepared for when the storms of life are waging war.  Do you have a spiritual battle plan for the unexpected? Do you have the Sword of the Spirit, The Word of God in your toolkit?

April is Financial Literacy Month and this week’s topic of LIVING BENEFITS - the NEW Life Insurance has been postponed due to a death in the family.  Levi (my eldest grandson) is grieving the loss of his great-grandmother who has been an instrumental part of his life since birth.  We send our condolences to the Harris Family and pray God’s comfort will surround and overtake their family.  

Death is never a one-size-fits-all as many mourn differently and at their own pace.  Although we don’t have all the answers to dealing with grief, our solution is to pray and be present as we petition the God of ALL comfort on behalf of the grieving family.

As citizens of the USA, we learned to recite the Pledge of Allegiance as soon as we enrolled in Public Schools.  However, as citizens of the Kingdom, we take another look at the root of this pledge.  Upon researching, we discover the original intent of this declaration and share the findings.  

As led by Holy Spirit (our COO), we pledge allegiance to The Lord Jesus Christ, the One who sacrificed His life for ours. Our all is on that altar.

In today’s episode, my daughter Koya is in the WNLOW Studio for Part 2 of Becoming Namma and for Josiah’s BIRTHDAY!!!  

During the interview, I discovered that it wasn’t about me at all. However, it was so Koya could see herself in my experiences.  

This episode is actually not about becoming Namma, but how the grace of God allowed me to be resilient in the process of becoming.  Grandma, please know your relationship with the Father can be the testimony your child or grandchild needs at this time.

Today. I share Part 1 of my testimony of becoming Namma!  I start from Episode #7 as a 23-year-old worshiper and lover of God and His people.  "Growing up Baptist" in a loving two-parent home, I never imagined marriage this way.  However, when God is not consulted in the decision-making process, trouble is likely on the horizon.  

What God has NOT put together, man WILL put asunder!

Apostle Paul wrote a letter to his young protege, Timothy encouraging him to be strong in faith like his grandmother Lois and mother Eunice.  This letter from Paul was the catalyst for this podcast as the love of Lois was clearly evident.  Not only did Lois share her faith with her daughter Euince, but the same "unfeigned faith" was duly noted in the life of Timothy, as well.

As a result of a conversation with my Cousin, Jeremy "Judah Bernard," I was led to ponder my full surrender to The Lord.  Thought-provoking questions led to self-reflection and dealing with the spirit of perfectionism.  This spirit can cripple and cause much delay, if not acknowledged and properly handled. 

Sharing our faith in God via our shortcomings will greatly benefit our future generations.  They'll learn first-hand and be forewarned not to repeat the same mistakes.  1 Corinthians 10:11, states, " All these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition."

This BONUS episode is about legacy! I love my children enough to be an example.
