I am so thrilled that my favorite drag artist, Stella Boheme, has joined me again to release an early sneak peak and discussion about their upcoming book Read Like a Queen : Real-Life Insights to SLAY Your Tarot Practice ! Stella, a long time Wildling, has given we Wildlings the first chance to pre-order their book! I've linked to Red Feather's page directly as many people are boycotting Amazon and other box shops at this time.

I mentioned it in the podcast, but please pre-order if you are able! Pre-order numbers matter a lot to publishers so showing up to support one of our own would honestly be so amazing.

I do want to apologize to Stella for the quality of this recording. We had every intention to release a video episode and they got all glammed up just for technical problems to complicate things so the video portion of things and my audio (as you'll be able to tell) were victims of Mercury in the Gatorade again.

This week, Wildly Tarot is going a little off the rails when Charlie, a mentalist, tarot reader, and Ettie’s very own D&D Dungeon Master joins the podcast as guest co-host! Charlie brings a totally different perspective to the cards, blending mentalism and tarot in a way that’s both thought-provoking and delightfully outside the norm. We chat about the idea that all tarot is valid (a novel concept we know) and how Charlie forged a personal relationship with tarot after coming to it through some pretty unconventional paths.

Joining Ettie this week in the Guest co-host seat is Taryn (@latenightdesigns) a long time friend of the podcast and full time romance author who uses tarot in their daily writing process. Their most recent book came out on the day we recorded together, Taming the Boss. (Taryn's novels were particuarly helpful for Ettie when they were going through a rough time in their life, so they are definitely great for times when you need to turn your brain off and just dive into something fun and low stakes!!)

Our question for the episode is from Jess who asked about creating friendships/found family in the midst of a recent AUDHD diagnosis and feeling hopeless at what to do next.

For this episode of Creator's Corner I had a personally transformative conversation with Lane Smith, author of "78 Acts of Liberation: Tarot to Transform Our World" .

This book by Lane was unexpectedly impactful as I read it and then even moreso in sitting down with Lane and gaining deeper understanding directly from them about things. Especially in how to take my own practice from the singular 'fool's journey' to a more community aligned 'tarot sphere' where we're interacting fluidly with the cards at any given moment.

This conversation is one I've been returning to over and over the past few days and chewing on things discussed in the book and with Lane. It's stayed with me in good ways that have influenced me to change and shift things in my own personal practice and perspective.

In our review-less episode we (totally on purpose *cough*) start out by giving listeners a sneak peak in what goes into our choosing a deck to review each week. Then as banter we talk about the "Neutral Shift Cycle" concept and how it's opened our eyes to so many trends from our lifetimes.

The first question from our listener, combines things she is working on in therapy and asking us how to expand on those ideas and concepts. Our second question, from Natalie, allows us to be a little more indulgent in pulling cards for each other asks us to elaborate on why we're so great. Our final question is from a listener who is trying to balance supporting their husband and taking care of themselves in the process.

To open the episode, we geek out about Galaxy Quest (only the best comedy/scifi movie of all time!), when Holly tells Esther about her visit to the Museum of Pop Culture! The first question from our querent asks what to do about the disappointment, discouragement, and coping emotionally with their journey in wanting to conceive a child. Our second questions asks Holly and Esther their beliefs about tarot, if it has powers, and how to trust in something again after being betrayed so deeply by Christianity.

In today's fun Halloween episode, we start out by just admitting that we're Horrible Adorables (please call us that!) and fully embrace our adorable and bumbling spoopiness and this episode definitely reflects that!

Our deck of the week is the cryptid-tacular Adorabyssal Oracle by Pixel Occult .* After reviewing the deck we decided to draw cards and dive into the cryptid mythology for our card!

To continue on with our tradition of doing a spread for the Wheel of the Year sabbats we decided to do two spreads from FablesDen's 9 Spooky Spreads for Halloween spread book! Kylie introduces us to Matt, her fiance that she lost to cancer this past April, and how tarot (and therapy) has helped her with connecting to Matt and moving forward beyond the grief. Holly and Kylie each walk through the spread we mentioned in our Tarot for Troubled Times episode and share how it helped reveal truths to them about themselves and processing their grief.

Along the way there is sadness, laughter, and honoring the lives of those we have lost by "Moving Forward, Not Moving On" and the book The Hot Young Widows Club. We finish out our episode by reviewing the extremely loved (by Kylie especially) Earth Bones Tarot deck by Alchemi_Soul on Instagram!
