So here is the deal: I know that is a very common phrase, and all of us have done it at some point in our lives. But the truth is, as difficult as it may seem to believe, it simply is not necessary when we realize who we are in God. You see, from God's eyes, we are perfect. There is no need to come up with shortcuts on how we can show up authentically in the world. I know all there is to know about peer pressure and society's labels upon us, but my challenge for you today is this: 1. If you are feeling like you need to fake it until you can make it, ask God to show you who you really are. 2. Ask God to equip you with whatever you need to be successful as your authentic self. 3. Ask Him to lay the groundwork for you to be in a community where you can grow and thrive 100% as you are.

'The situation I am in is so convoluted and complicated, and I need things to go a certain way. I am not going to pray for God’s help in this.'

I understand that you think your situation is so far gone that you need to fix it yourself. You may even feel that you need things to go a particular way and you are afraid God disagrees with you.

The truth is that God knows infinitely more about your situation than you do. He knows every variable and every person involved. He knows every possible outcome. He also knows what is best. What is best in God’s eyes may not match what is best in your eyes, but God’s wisdom is the most important.

When navigating difficult times, it is so important to learn how to give it to God, place your trust in Him, and remain in steadfast prayer as you wait.

Who knows what she is really up to?” So there is someone at the office who eats different foods and dresses differently from you. What labels have you placed on this individual that keep you at arm's length? The truth is, until you’ve actually sat down and had a real conversation with her, you don’t have any ground to stand on to judge or accuse her of wrongdoing. It’s so easy to let labels create a distance between us, but we have to remember that God doesn't see those labels. In His eyes, there is no 'us' and 'them'—He loves both of you equally and without measure. Because God knows and loves you both infinitely and equally, you can only reach your own fullest potential when your life is built on that same foundation of unconditional faith and love. This is what you have told yourself. Maybe this is what you have been told by others. Here is the good news. God forgives.

Whatever you have done, it may be that you will face consequences because of your actions, but here is my challenge for you: know and believe in your heart that God will forgive you. You simply need to approach Him and ask for forgiveness.

That is it. There are no limits, preconditions, or boundaries. If you ask God to forgive you, He will forgive you—even if the world does not.

I get it. According to you, what you have done in your past makes you unworthy of God’s forgiveness.

The truth is that God has promised us that when we come to Him to ask for forgiveness, we are forgiven. No boundaries. No pre-conditions. No limits. That’s right. God’s love is boundless, even to the point of forgiving the wrongs you have done. There may be consequences from your actions, but you never have to worry about God’s capacity or desire to forgive.

That is - you helped someone in need - giving your time, your resources, and even your energy to show kindness and generosity. I am not talking about quick and easy giving - where you hop on a website and put in your credit card to send a donation; I am talking about something that took some actual time and effort and may not have been easy or convenient. If you know this to be true, my challenge for you is to ask God to use you, your skills, and your resources to assist someone that He knows is in need - and expect Him to ensure you cross paths with that individual. When it happens, and you will know when it happens, thank God for the opportunity and keep it going - ask Him to continue to use you as He sees fit. “Live a Life of Gratitude and Trust” "Why should I forgive them when they haven't even apologized?"

I get it. If you are watching this and are feeling that someone has done you wrong and left you hanging without even acknowledging or apologizing, you may feel like this is grounds for not forgiving them. The truth is that until you have forgiven, you are held captive. It actually takes -work- to hold a posture of unforgiveness. I am not saying you should forget. Of course, we should all keep ourselves safe from harm. I am saying that God can give us the strength to forgive in any situation, and He truly does desire for us to forgive. If someone has wronged you and you can’t find it in your heart to forgive, why not give the situation to God, asking Him to work on your heart to make room for forgiveness? The person who hurt you may never apologize, but your act of forgiveness will allow you to shift from captivity to freedom with God by your side.

“I am really struggling right now. Things are hard. Does God even see me? Why is He allowing all of this?” I understand if you are going through a really tough time, it can be difficult to see how God is showing up for you right now. When we are suffering, it can be tempting to think that God does not notice you, let alone care about your suffering. The truth is that God is with you right now at this very moment. He knows every single detail of your circumstances and every individual involved. He knows precisely what is needed for the best possible outcome. He knows infinitely more about what you are dealing with than you do. When we are suffering, the most important thing we can do is to stay close to God. We all have free will, so we can choose to think we will take care of everything, or we can choose to surrender our situation to God, remain in prayer, and praise Him for His influence in advance. If you feel this way, you are not alone. Believe it or not, I would consider myself an introvert and very shy, but I have learned the importance of making my faith less about what I want and feel comfortable with - and more about how I can serve God.

The truth is that faith is not meant to be a solo journey. God has placed gifts within you and me that were never meant to be bottled up into only your world. God has also given you gifts that are designed to be used in community. For example, you can serve others in need in your community and you can pray with others for causes important to you. When we seek out God in community, we can experience our faith at an entirely new level.

I get it. Maybe you are a self-starter and like learning things on your own. This can work for many things
when it comes to gaining wisdom and learning things in our world, especially with access to the internet
and AI.
The truth is, that a walk of faith and relationship with God is going to benefit most from things that have
nothing to do with technology. Your new relationship with God is based on your spirit connecting with His
and therefore, most your guidance is going to be derived from things that are based in the spiritual realm.
God will send you counsel to help you know the ins and outs of faith. Bringing your questions and
concerns to God in prayer will allow Him to guide you in ways you hadn’t thought of. God’s Word is God
breathed - meaning He has spoken instruction and directions to His children, the prophets and authors of
His Word. All of these resources will be invaluable on your walk of faith.

“Open Your Heart to God”

Have you ever thought to yourself "I know that God loves me, but I just don’t feel comfortable putting my guard down for Him"?

I understand how you are feeling. We learn throughout our lives to keep our hearts guarded from the pain that others can inflict on us. Family and friends can bring us joy, but they can also be the source of heartache and pain. It is natural to want to keep your heart guarded, especially in having a relationship with God and getting to know Him.

The truth is that God loves you more than you can fathom. God’s love exceeds the love of anyone you know on earth. God created you and he created a heart in you that is designed to be in a loving and intimate relationship with Him. God will never, ever leave you or forsake you. You can trust your heart with God, knowing that doing so will lead you on a path to a fulfilling and joy-filled life in God. Your life circumstances may have ups and downs, but the joy you can experience with God in your heart is beyond anything you have experienced.

I wouldn’t even know where to begin about starting a relationship with God.

I get it. If you have never had a relationship with God you have probably heard all sorts of things. Very positive things and very negative things. There are those who love God and show it and speak it loud and those who hate God and show it and speak it loud. What are to believe and where do you begin? Take it from me - If you are watching this and are feeling a bit iffy about the idea of handing over your life to God, I understand how it may seem as though you have everything under control.

The truth is that God knows you better than you know yourself. He even knows about your hesitation in this moment. I want to invite you to just speak to Him. Don’t be afraid. Don’t start of with any pre-conceived notions. Allow yourself to have an authentic relationship with him and just start the conversation. You will be surprised of the ways in which He will respond to your desire to seek Him.

“Find Power in Community and Faith”

I don’t need a community to practice my faith. I am happy with just me and God.

I understand. I felt this way for a very long time. I am the type of person who is not very social - never have been, but I have learned the importance of being a part of a faith community. If I am being completely transparent, it is something I am still working on.

The truth is, I have learned the importance of having a faith community. For one, you can be a voice of encouragement or support for someone else in the community. Additionally, God may very well have a message for you that someone else in the community is meant to share with you. In a community, you can learn of opportunities to pray for others and others in the community can learn of opportunities to pray for you. These are just some examples of ways your faith can show up in community that would not be possible when you keep your faith to yourself.

“I do believe in God but I keep to myself about it. I am a very private person when it comes to my faith.”

I get it. I felt this way for a very long time. My faith was personal. My relationship with God was personal. It isn’t that I didn’t want people to know, I just felt it was fine for me to keep my faith to myself.

The truth is that a life of faith is not meant to be a solo journey. God built us for community and a community in faith is a powerful way to grow your faith and grow closer in your relationship to Him. You may be missing out on messages God intends to send you through others who are like minded in your faith. Looking at it the other way around, God may seek to use you to share counsel and provide support for others in prayer and fellowship. In either case, a community of faith is a vital component of building strength and resilience for facing life's challenges and trials. If you truly trust in God, I want to invite you to ask Him to lead you to a faith community where you can experience all of the benefits of fellowship take your faith journey to a whole new level.

The truth is that one of the benefits of living a life of faith is knowing that God will lead and guide you in a way that utilizes all of your potential and gifts. In fact, you may have gifts you have not even thought of that God is waiting until the right time and place to reveal to you. I have learned this time and time again. In fact, if you had told me 3 years ago I would be speaking to you on this video, I would have given you a look and said you were crazy, yet here I am. God knows the gifts He has planted in you and can help you to discover more about who you really are and all that He planned for you and your life

“How Faith Guides Your Spending”

“I won’t be truly happy until I have a nicer car -or- wardrobe -or- house.”

I fully understand. Let’s be honest. Not only does it feel good to have nice things, but it doesn’t hurt to get looks and stares and feel the eyes on you as others wish that they have what you had.

The truth is that things do not define us. We should not be pursing things for vanity, we should be pursing things that take care of our needs and help us to have a quality of life that offers contentment. I am not saying it is not ok to want and purchase nice things. I own a car that many would consider is nice and I worked hard to get it. I do feel, however, that it is important that we allow our faith to be a guide in our spending. I also think it is important to find contentment in what God provides for us. He provided the gifts we have to obtain the skills and job that allows us to make a living. Therefore, let us shape our spending habits around things that are pleasing to God.

Have you ever thought to yourself:

“Trust me when I say, I need to stay up late and get up early for my work. There is no time for rest.”

I completely understand, especially if you are working to make ends meet. There is nothing wrong with working hard, even if it is two jobs. It is important, however, that we make time for rest. Are you consulting God in your decision to work hard? Have you considered that He knows exactly what your circumstances are and what you need to earn to make ends meet?

The truth is, that without proper rest, your body, your mind, and even your faith and relationship with God can suffer. Often we decide what we need to do in our work without consulting the One who knows about every detail of your situation. If you are working and striving and pushing your way through each day, I invite you to bring your circumstances to God and ask Him if you are aligned with His plans - and if not, to show you the way to rest.

Do you ever think to yourself:

"Honestly, I show up at work to do my job and when it is time to clock out - I’m out. I really don’t have time to figure out ways I can serve God at work."

Yes you do. God is fully aware of your schedule and your tasks. He knows exactly how long it will take you to get something done and He even knows the expectations from your boss. He also knows what He has planted in you and how you may serve Him at your job. Maybe there is someone who has been crying out to Him and you will be the one who answers on His behalf. Maybe there is someone who needs some kindness right now and you are the one to give it - even if you never see them again.

The truth is that the workplace has an abundance of opportunities to serve God and be a part of Him fulfilling His purpose. If you really think you can’t serve God at your job, I want you to ask Him today. Expect Him to reveal opportunities you hadn’t even considered.

The truth is that God knows infinitely more about your situation and circumstances than you do. He knows every person involved. He knows the ins and outs of every aspect of the decisions being made by yourself and others. He knows all of the possible outcomes even with everyone having free will. Most importantly, He knows you and everything there is to know about you - plus so much more. Have you considered that handing your situation to God is the best thing you can do because of His infinite wisdom?

Do you ever think to yourself:

I am not sure if God has answered my prayers because I don’t see the response I was expecting.

I understand. You have prayed to God and you had a pretty solid idea of what you felt needed to happen (or not happen) to fix a situation.

The truth is that God has a perspective into your circumstances that you do not. He knows every single nuance and detail about every word you prayed that you do not. He knows the best outcomes for everyone involved and He knows the timing in which those outcomes should occur. When we pray, we should not expect to see signs at every turn of His response to our prayer, but we should trust God, knowing He will act and intervene in a way that He knows is best, even if we do not witness evidence of His response first hand.

Do you need to hear from God? Do you need to make a decision and don’t know what way to go? Are you feeling uneasy about a direction to go? My challenge today is for those of you who are struggling with a decision. My challenge for you today is to seek God. I mean, actually place your trust in God to give you guidance and direction on what to do with your decision, Yes, No or Do nothing. I invite you to allocate time today to bring yourself humbly and sincerely before Him to ask for Him to speak to you about your decision. Ask Him to use whatever means He sees fit to get your attention to know the way that He feels is best for you and your life. Then, expect a response. Bless you.

I understand. In a world where communication is all around us from our smartphones to tv sets and everything in between, why would’t God speak to us in a way that is just as obvious? I believe God speaks to those who have decided they will believe in Him and seek Him. I experience communication from God on such a regular basis at this point, that I rely upon it.

Will God speak to you? The truth is a resounding Yes. He will speak to you In a way that you will understand loud and clear, but I believe we must show God our faithfulness in order to earn this experience.

I understand. Many of us like the idea of giving but only some of us actually make and follow through with the decision to give our time. Please understand, that I am not saying this to make anyone feel guilty about not giving. I can look back over many decades of my life where I liked the idea of giving but never followed through.

The truth is that giving your time, more specifically, deciding to give your time and following through delights God as we walk with Him. God does not need any of us for anything and we all have free will, so when we decide to offer ourselves as a vessel to God, He is truly delighted with us. Not only does giving of our time honor God, but it also allows us to demonstrate our faith to others. By the way, giving to others not only benefits someone else but it can also fill our hearts with joy in the process.

I get it. Before you knew about God, you have been taught to understand that you have to look out for your own best interest because no one else will. I understand you have been doing life this way all along just fine, so there is no need to make a change.

The truth is that God and only God knows every single facet of you. He knows your gifts and talents, your strengths and weaknesses. In fact, He knows every single thing in your life. With this infinite wisdom, doesn’t it make sense to present your hopes and dreams and plans before God? Only He knows which of your plans are aligned with His perfect plans for you. Only He knows what part of your plans are and are not suited for your gifts and strengths. He also knows what plans would lead you to your best life.

The truth is that prayer is not a ritual or a procedure, it is a conversation with God. While many do form rituals and processes around prayer, I think God is willing to hear our prayers at any time for any reason. Trust me when I say we all have time for prayer. Have a favorite podcast? Have a favorite show you stream? When was your last text message? All of these activities take up far more time than you taking up a few moments to speak with God in prayer.

If someone is trying to merge into stop-and-go traffic, you -do- have time to let them pull in front of you instead of assuming the person behind you will.

If you are truly seeking a life that honors God, you must be prepared to give instead of just receiving. Giving kindness is one of the most powerful ways you can honor God and serve your community.

“I do have a dream, but I don’t want God to get involved. I will get there on my own.”

I understand. It can be a bit difficult to have your heart set on something and wonder if God would take you away from it. It can also be challenging if you are trying to learn how to trust in God, but you believe he shouldn’t be involved in helping you to pursue your dreams - because you know what is best for you.

The truth is that in both of these scenarios, God knows best, but He also wants you to dream big! He wants you to bring your most creative and elaborate dreams before Him. Here is the thing, only God’s plans for you are perfect, but He is more than willing to guide you to your hopes and dreams that are in alignment with His plans for you. If we recognize that God and only God would know what is best, we should consider that God knows the areas of our hopes and dreams that are in line with the gifts He has planted within us for our purpose.

I get it. Why poke your nose into a situation if you don’t need to? Listen, every situation is different, but there is always a way to stand up for what’s right when you witness wrongdoing.

The truth is when you walk with God, sometimes you will have to do things that may not feel comfortable but are part of you serving God. Maybe it is just offering moral support for the person being impacted - even if they are a complete stranger. Maybe it is helping someone to find the right help. Sometimes, anonymous reporting through the appropriate channels can be the best way to get help involved.
