Frank Stallone : The making of Rocky & growing up in the music scene

Grammy and Golden Globe nominated artist Frank Stallone is one of the most versatile actors, singers and musicians in the business. His explosive voice and his range from comedy to drama and rock to blues to big band, leaves audiences entertained and captivated. Frank has garnered three Platinum Albums, ten Gold Albums and five Gold Singles and has acted in over 60 films and TV shows including Walker Texas Ranger, multiple sitcoms and variety shows, Hudson Hawk, Staying Alive, Fred Claus, and Tombstone, in which he made a big impact as "Ed Bailey," a dangerous gunslinger. One of his most memorable film roles was as "Eddie," the bartender in Barfly, which was touted by critic Roger Ebert: "Barfly is a terrific film that features an outstanding performance by Frank Stallone...he's both captivating and terrifying at the same time." Frank has written and published over 200 songs and, with his newest single in The Expendables 2 (Don't Want to Fight With Me), has written and recorded compositions for nine films, including Rocky I, II and III, Rambo II, Paradise Alley and Over the Top. But, it was Frank's nine songs that he wrote and recorded for the Saturday Night Fever Sequel "Staying Alive" that earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Soundtrack and a Grammy nomination for Best Original Song with his single, Far From Over. That song became a massive number#1 hit around the world and stayed on the top charts for more than four months. At a young age, the Maryland-born, Philadelphia-raised native pursued his musical ambitions, forming a series of bands, and finally turned professional at the tender age of 15 ("I had to lie about my age," admits Frank). His group, Valentine, included lead guitarist John Oates (Hall and Oates) and was signed to RCA Records in 1975, when they recorded their first album. Frank made his on-screen singing debut, performing the self-penned a Capella song, Take You Back in the opening scene of the film Rocky. "The only reason I got the part was that I was the only musician my brother, Sylvester, knew...and I worked cheap." Frank has recorded nine solo albums receiving praise from legends Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett and Sammy Cahn. His rock-influenced Full Circle, "which I feel is my best" was followed by his American songbook albums, In Love in Vain, with Sammy Nestico, Stallone on Stallone by Request, a compilation of Frank's film soundtrack tunes, and Songs from the Saddle, showing Frank's more acoustic side. He's a big fan favorite in Australia and he performs in concert halls, theaters and clubs all around the world, gaining critical acclaim wherever he goes "he has the crowd enthralled." (New York Daily News) Frank is a guitar, music, mafia and art aficionado, is one of the best boxing historians and collectors in the world and is an avid collector of guitars, guns and memorabilia. When he's not writing songs or filming a project, he can be found on a shooting range or at the gym but he's happiest with a guitar, beautiful women and good glass of vino. If you ask why he's never been married, he'll tell you "I guess I just forgot."

Born and raised in South Philly, Freddie's leading man looks as well as his many character roles has shown that he can be very convincing as a Mafia Don or a Catholic Priest. Starting out as a Singer in a band with a range of three and half octaves, Freddie has been known to hit notes that even a bank couldn't cash. But at a young age he knew he was made to perform. To prove this motto Freddie will tell you that you must study and research who you are and why you are in this role. His education is very impressive as well. The In Crowd written by Mark Rosenthal and Lawrence Konner was Freddie's breakout role alongside Joey "Pants" Pantoliano and Bruce Kirby who Freddie called his "West Coast Dad". A very unique acting style that you call your own is one that this actor has created and he is definitely one of a kind. Debra Markowitz created and served as the Director of the Nassau County Film Commission. Serving four administrations during her 33-year tenure, Ms. Markowitz had steadily increased production of movies, television programs and commercials that were shot in Nassau County.

Ms. Markowitz also serves as President of the Long Island Film-TV Foundation, Long Island's most established and largest not-for-profit agency dedicated to the support and promotion of independent filmmaking. The LIFTF runs the LIIFE, the Long Island International Film Expo, which is headed into its 29th year in July 2026.

Debra’s podcast, The Best of Intentions, is hosted weekly through Governors Comedy Club Podcasts. It features celebrities, actors and others in the independent film industry.

Debra is also a novelist (the Karmic Wind Trilogy: Naked in the Rain, Sarah and Caleb and Karmic Wind), award winning screenwriter and director of shorts, features and TV pilots, film consultant, casting director and teaches director to actor workshops. Debra was a judge for potential incoming drama students at the LaGuardia Arts High School (The FAME school) for several years.

Several of Debra’s films have screened at Academy Award Qualifying Film Festivals: Chosen (Director/Producer) screened at LA Shorts, The Last Taxi Driver(Writer/Director/Producer) screened at the HollyShorts Monthly Screening Series, Shoot Me Nicely (Casting Director/Producer) screened at HollyShorts and Won Best TV Pilot, was a Winner of the Diamond Award at LA Shorts, and My Cross to Bear (Producer/Casting Director) screened at Flickers Rhode Island International Film Festival. Debra’s screenplay, Just Look Into My Eyes, was a semifinalist in both Flickers and HollyShorts and has won several other screenplay competitions. Her screenplay, From the Embers (formerly called Brimstone feature) won Best Screenplay at the Phoenixville International Film Festival and Best in Show at the Austin Revolution Film Festival. The screenplay of The Only Woman in the Worldwon Best Screenplay at several international Film Festivals. The Only Woman in the World feature film is screening on Prime Video, Tubi, The Alice Channel of Xumo, Momentu and several other platforms. Debra’s feature film, Wait List: A Love-ish Story, has signed with IndieRights and is now available on Prime Video and has become one of their Spotlight Films, her feature film, From the Embers, has wrapped and is in post-production. Debra has also wrapped on the LGBTQIA+ feature, Couple of Guys which is in editing.

Tom Paolino is Executive Producer/Lead Actor in "One of the Good Ones", a feature film inspired by true events of The Lawyers Discipline Office in Buffalo, NY. The film premiered worldwide on 1/23/26 at The 8th Annual Dunedin International Film Festival where it won The Audience Award. On March 6th, it was released on Amazon Prime Video where it now has a 4.7/5 rating after 119 global reviews. Last month, the film was exhibited at Cannes and this August it screens in South African theatres (Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town) through www.cinecentre.co.za. Other film credits include "The Purge: Election Year", "Outside Providence", and "Wish Watch" (which will premiere later this year).

On television, Tom has co-starred in "FBI: Most Wanted" (Seasons 2 and 6), "Bluebloods" (Season 10), "Law & Order: SVU" (Season 24), "FBI" (Seasons 2 and 5), "Nash Bridges" and "Chasing Christmas" (Great American Family TV Network).

Jamie Kennedy, Harland Williams & The Return of 90s Comedy: Producer of Wing Man Justin Levine

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Started producing music videos through the record company he began in 2001 & moved onto celebrity events, from touring Jamie Kennedy in Canada to putting on an Alica Keys charity event with ESPN, Superbowl 2005. He moved onto writing treatments for films and launched Stardust Pictures; within 6 months shot and produced its first film with Pauly Shore named 'Natural Born Komics', to a wacky comedy feature with Harland Williams called 'Child Wild" in Toronto; then in 2010 fully produced 4 films back to back in one year: "Holiday Heist", "Boy Toy", "L!fe Happens" in L.A., wrapping up in NYC on Christmas Eve James Franco's "Maladies" Stardust Pictures continued over a decade later to produce quality self funded pictures with five more in 2021, three already in post.
