We recap the latter part of 2023 and provide our forecast for the first half of 2024 using astrology, tarot, numerology, and the Chinese Zodiac. In numerology, 2023 was an introspective 7 year of re-calibration and spiritual exploration. 2024 is an 8 year, which offers karmic transformation, wisdom and growth as we harness our strength and independence to impact the collective.

To find your personal year number, add your birthday + the current year (not your birth year). Reduce the sum to a single digit if it isn’t already. For example, my birthday is January 4, so it would be:

One of the general themes for 2024 that we talked about was how art and technology serve as catalysts for change as we move into the Age of Aquarius. The power of humanity and uniting for a purpose will be impactful this year. We may experience a collective shift beginning with a sense of renewal in January, an important transition phase in February, personal power confrontations in March, a chaotic but introspective April, practical idea manifestation in May, and the need to maintain grounding amidst rapid thoughts and actions in June. It's a journey towards resolving long-standing issues and standing firm in the face of chaos.

Taurus season kicks off on Thursday, April 20th AND the beginning of Mercury Retrograde. The New Moon solar eclipse on April 19th or early 20th (time zone depending) will come in with a flash of fiery Aries energy, but you'll get a giant dose of pump the brakes at the same time. I think we're all ready for some Sagittarius energy after an extra challenging Scorpio season! Many of us had patterns and wounds come up that were perhaps dealt with before. Feelings of inadequacy and imposter syndrome as well as overwhelm and exhaustion. The transition between these signs has been nudging us to think about what we want to do, who we are, and what inspires us.

Sagittarius season will allow us to look at the big picture and take the leap! Dreaming big and giving of ourselves feels good as we enter holiday season but keep in mind that boundaries are kind. It will feel really easy to over give of yourself this December so it will be important to prioritize. I am ready to start feeling the magic and taking some chances. Let others help and take things off your plate. Balance how much you're giving and receiving this holiday season so that you can make the most of it!

After a rocky October we will continue the wave of unsteady energy for the first two weeks of November. Not only are we finishing out the last Eclipse Season of the year, but we are deep in the depths of watery Scorpio season. Scorpio likes nothing more than to transform in its constant search of what it desires. And how can we know what we desire when we are constantly transforming? It’s a bit like making a Christmas wish list based off of who you were 10 years ago. Not many of us would want the same things nor should we. We are older, wiser, and maybe even new versions of ourselves. Is that wrong? Scorpio says no! Embrace who you are right now and then again when you change in a few minutes. While this time of the year can feel a bit wobbly to those of us who don’t have strong water elements in our charts, it’s a good reminder that everything in life is in transition. If we don’t embrace the parts of life that are uncomfortable or seen as taboo (sex, money, death) then aren’t we kind of missing a huge piece of our human experience? We aren’t mean to bypass our experience with these things because we can’t even survive as a species without them! Now that doesn’t mean you need to talk about it at the dinner table with your great aunt, but we have to find safe places where we can explore these topics and our relationship to them as we change. This month, give yourself and those you love, a break. We’re all trying really hard to get it right!

As we move out of the steady earth energy of Virgo and into the airy space of Libra, we find the pace of our lives picking up speed! Libra is a cardinal air sign. That means it's driven and ready to push through change. It marks the Fall Equinox in the northern hemisphere, Spring in the southern, and this is a point where a new dominate light takes over. We will now have more darkness in our days than light in the north, and more light than dark in the south. Without the persistent energy of Libra, this transition can leave us feeling at a loss for what we may have missed during the last season.

So, we're moving out of the fiery season of Leo and into an earth sign and an earth sign notoriously loves to do. It loves to make things real. Virgo is a mutable earth sign. That means it's not necessarily persistent. It is adaptable. And this comes at the end of summer season where we are literally falling away from summer into fall. We're getting closer to the Equinox. And so it's a changing of seasons. We are in some ways mourning the summer as it's done, we have anticipation of what is to come, but it's not here yet. And I saw this quote the other day that said, August is the Sunday of summer. And it really made me think that September is the Monday of fall.
