<itunes:summary>What lights you up - and what have you stopped making space for?

For years as a journalist, I had a front-row seat to extraordinary lives, lifting the lid on what made other people shine. Making people feel seen comes naturally to me. Seeing myself? Not so much.

When life knocked the stuffing out of me, survival mode showed up as me disappearing. My world got very small, and so did I. But my story isn’t over. I am done just existing.

The Nerve of You is me coming out of hiding and having the nerve to find my voice at 56. It’s a playful experiment. It could be messy, it could be raw, it could be exactly the tonic you need and it’s very likely to be random as the real me returns and the jitters wear off. As long as I’m enjoying the process and feeling alive, that’s hitting the jackpot.

Perfectionism isn’t invited, but you are. Join me in making space for what lights you up and makes you feel fully alive.

On this show, we’re exploring:

Curiosity over Perfection: Learning to play, experiment, and come out of hiding

Identity: Owning the truth that there’s nothing wrong with you (except your thinking that there is)

Nervous System Supports: Creative ways to build new responses and cultivate an inner ease as you become visible

The Magic of Fascia Release: Melting holding patterns in the body to create physical, mental, and emotional space

Plant-Fueled Living: Delicious plant-based meals, treats made with natural sugars and DIY skincare your body loves

So, if you’re ready to set your Supporting Role Oscar down and make space for you and all your fabulous idiosyncrasies, you’re in the right place.

Grab a cuppa and hit subscribe, let’s see where this takes us.

<itunes:summary><![CDATA[What Greece reminded me about real life - and what happens when reality completely tears up your script.
We’ve all written a picture-perfect script for how a trip, a milestone, or a chapter of life is supposed to go - only for real life to rewrite the entire plot.
Ever planned a dream holiday - only for your teenager to be, well, a teenager in full flight? Leaving you standing on a balcony, wondering how somewhere so idyllic could feel so utterly miserable?
In this episode of The Nerve of You, I’m sharing an unfiltered story from a girls trip to Greece and the realisation in a rooftop café that changed how I show up for my own life.

In the episode:

The picture-perfect holiday versus the real-life fallout
The sheer exhaustion of trying to manage the unmanageable
Finding the nerve to let the story rewrite itself
