As a sound, lighting, and scenic designer with 5 years of experience I’ve learned a lot about design through working on a variety of shows. My journey from starting as a senior in high school with no experience to now being a senior in a Design and Production program with many shows under my belt has taught me a lot about how to read scripts and how to design within my theatre's limits from doing a lot of community theatre work. I understand not knowing where to start when receiving a script because I’ve been there.

Through working on Marian or the True Tale of Robin Hood, I discovered that design impacts the show and that changed how I view design for theatre. This led me to change how I have analyzed scripts in the past year. Now I want to share how I break down scripts and create my unique designs with you.
