Composer Alan Lazar recently completed his second Netflix Original movie Holiday In The Wild, starring Kristin Davis and Rob Lowe, directed by Ernie Barbarash. Previously he scored Netflix Original movie The Most Hated Woman In America, starring Academy Award winner Melissa Leo, directed by Tommy O'Haver.

Alan has scored more than 50 films and TV shows, including Sex and the City and An American Crime, starring Ellen Page and for which Catherine Keener received an Emmy and Golden Globe nomination. He is well known for his catchy, toe-tapping scores for the Real Housewives franchise, for which he has scored a total of 15 seasons.

In this podcast we discuss his early musical roots, collaborating with a Director early on, working with the post sound team, and the value of working with musicians. We also go over his approach to each project whether it's a Netflix Drama or a Network Reality Show. Chris Clements is a force in VFX. Getting his start on YouTube and later launching the popular YouTube channel FXitinPost that recently released the epic fan film Star Wars SC 38 Reimagined #SC38Reimagined.

I met Chris through Ryan Sturz, a stunt coordinator that we've had on the show before. Aside from FXitinPost, Chris has done Stunt Pre-vis on mega projects such as Doom Patrol, Daredevil, The Punisher, and Deadpool. In addition to those projects, I've been fortunate to work with Chris, as a VFX Supervisor on some projects that I've produced (The Thinning, The Thinning New World Order, Party Girl, Funny Story).
