As a Virgo, a sign known for its meticulous nature, I've always been negotiating with perfectionism, which has accompanied me since I began my spiritual and mediumship development in 2013.

I share how this perfectionist tendency first manifested when I set a goal of 150 practice readings before offering paid services, highlighting the pressure I felt to ensure I was ready. Through astrology and personality assessments, I've gained insights and permission slips that have helped me embrace my Virgo nature while continuing to strive for growth and healing. I also recount the transformation of my online blog into the Spirit School podcast in 2018, a journey that involved overcoming the paralyzing grip of perfectionism.

A health crisis prompted me to take bold steps forward, leading to the creation of a podcast that has since blossomed into an online school and book. In exploring how perfectionism often masks underlying fears, I share techniques I've developed to push through, such as launching projects before they're "perfect" and learning through experience.

By looking through the lens of love and compassion, I offer a path to overcoming fear and perfectionism, encouraging others in the spiritual space to lead by example, embrace imperfection, and evolve with the freedom and accountability that 2024 brings.

Daniel, thank you for bringing your wisdom to this conversation! You're the only human I could consider having this discussion with publicly! 

The Context: 

In preparation for tomorrow's conversation, I wanted to share some of the resources I studied in 2020 + 2021 around using psychedelic healing in an effort tp manage and potentially treat my PMDD. 

Tomorrow instead of providing this research live, I want to use our time to share about my experiences, and bring a true subject matter expert on the topic 🌻✨ Daniel, Mayan Mystic 🛸 (he/she) I did over a year of studying on the topic, consulting with my physician and therapist in preparation for my own experiences in late 2021 and again in early 2022.  I wanted to 'dump' here some of the insights that interested me in my research.

My biggest concern was the potential negative affect a Psychedelic would have on my ability to connect with the Spirit World, I have never wanted to risk my connection with Spirit, so I was very comforted to find the research of Psychic Medium Eileen Garret (best known for her book 'Awareness')

Johns Hopkins Research Center is a pioneering institution renowned for its groundbreaking studies exploring the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, particularly psilocybin, in treating various mental health conditions.

Johns Hopkins University Research Data Revealed:

• Smoking Cessation Success Rate: One of the most notable findings is the high success rate in smoking cessation post-psilocybin therapy. Research indicated an astonishing 85% success rate in helping individuals quit smoking, far surpassing traditional methods. As someone who abused colonized tobacco for 17 years, I wish I knew this in 2002! 

• Reduction in Anxiety and Depression Scores: Psilocybin therapy demonstrated substantial reductions in anxiety and depression scores among participants. These improvements were observed in both immediate and long-term assessments following the therapy sessions.

• Long-Term Positive Effects: Data showcased enduring positive effects, indicating sustained improvements in emotional well-being and increased quality of life among participants even after the therapy sessions had concluded.

• End-of-Life Distress Alleviation: The studies revealed the profound impact of psilocybin therapy on end-of-life distress in terminally ill patients. Participants experienced a significant reduction in anxiety and increased feelings of peace and acceptance, easing their distress about death.

• Safety Profile: The data reinforced the safety profile of psilocybin therapy when administered in controlled, clinical settings with trained professionals. Minimal adverse effects were reported, emphasizing the therapy's safety under supervised conditions.

I receive criticism when I talk about the shadow side of this work because it can be interpreted as complaining when I am in a place of privilege. Eduek shares her own journey with debt and some of the ways she was able to pay off $47,000 in 20 months! In this episode:

• Eduek’s journey began with paying off $47000 of personal debt as an immigrant to Canada
• It was difficult to find consistent information about credit that applied to Canadian finances
• Eduek is passionate about making this information easy to understand and implement
• Her financial philosophy is to balance security with enjoying your life
• She always wanted to be a teacher but knew it didn’t pay well so she chose engineering
• Teaching is one of Eduek’s strongest gifts and people have always asked her for help
• Clients say that their financial advisors haven’t broken things down as well as her
• Eduek leveraged her engineering background and love for teaching and financial literacy
• In Nigeria, the culture was that people worked to build their homes and it took time to save cash
• Coming here, the culture of incurring debt instantly for cars and houses was surprising
• All of her personal debt came from being here in Canada
• Other countries don’t use credit as much and loans are based on income
• The finance industry is the strongest industry in Canada and we’re incentivized to borrow
• Credit cards give a false sense of security and small purchases over budget add up
• We get used to using our credit card as part of our income
• The system makes it so easy for you to have access to money, and live above your means
• You make irrational decisions with money when you’re stressed out about debt
• We cannot fathom not getting the things we want because of instant gratification
• Stores make money off of their credit cards and financing
• Growing up, Eduek had what was needed and what there was money for
• People want more than they grew up with, but before they can afford it
• We either mirror what our parents did or do the opposite
• After not being able to use cash in the pandemic, we started using credit cards again
• Customers also now pay for credit card processing fees instead of the store
• We don’t question what we’re charged or check our receipts for discrepancies
• We’re taught to get careers that pay well but aren’t taught how to manage finances 
• Eduek had $47000 of consumer debt and had to look at the root cause
• She had the knowledge of what to do, but wasn’t implementing them
• If you don’t address the psychological relationship, you’ll go in debt again
• Knowing your spending triggers, like stress, can help you from jeopardizing budgets
• Eduek would buy things for her home, and then return them out of guilt
• Having a self care budget prepares you for times of stress
• Debt is emotional so focusing on the debt that causes the most pain is a priority
• Eduek didn’t use a credit card for two years to show that you don’t need it
• She also stopped buying clothing and shoes for that time period
• The accountability of sharing on Instagram helped for motivation
• By reallocating money, I’ve been able to save for an emergency fund and pay off debt
• The most important thing is to be intentional with your spending and track it
• Having a budget makes you aware of what you are sacrificing for if something comes up
• Ask yourself why you want to become more financially stable or have freedom?
• Making informed decisions takes the guilt out of spending your money
• The first step is to sit down and document what is coming in and going out monthly

There are so many personal development and personal growth reasons why mediumship development is for everyone. I haven’t talked about these reasons in this context before, so I am going to share the ways that mediumship development benefits you outside of the actual skills that you learn to communicate with loved ones in Spirit in readings.

In this episode:

• Reiki, hair, and massage seem to be a pathway to mediumship
• Mediumship often is a pathway for people to find a deeper sense of their own purpose
• People go on to other modalities when they discover new parts of themselves in development
• Discovering one of the most natural connections we have, to the spirit world
• We other ourselves and tell ourselves it is only accessible to a select few people
• Connecting to spirit allows you to know yourself like never before
• We focus so much on others that we don’t think about our own needs
• The only way to discern spirit around you is to know yourself and your energy
• You start to love yourself when you understand that you’re a spirit
• This self realization benefits you in all areas of life including relationships and careers
• The mediumship development journey is a personal healing journey
• Being able to transform energy into healing information for others requires healing
• I had to heal my stage fright and wounds around worthiness to receive from spirit
• We have to reconcile our past to get onto a path of self-acceptance and confidence
• I never considered myself unworthy of relationships or anything before the mediumship path
• Thinking I wasn’t pure enough to talk to the divine was an aha moment for me
• Each of us has different resistances, anxieties and fears to walk through 
• Perfectionism or not having language to communicate the insights you receive may come up
• There are people who don’t want to heal, but it’s unavoidable on the development path
• You get to experience pockets of peace and divine love
• I don’t believe meditation is the only way, but it does require slowing down to sense and listen
• You never have the same type of exchange with other beings when you learn to listen intently
• In the process of slowing down to sense spirit, you experience peace and divine love
• We had a seance with Winter Brooke in the Collective for 90 minutes
• The 90 minutes we spent sitting with spirit was replenishing for my own spirit
• Whether you sit for 10 minutes a day or week, it will benefit you in all areas of life
• Once you connect with the world of spirit, you start to see the magic of life all around you
• You start to see the interconnectedness of it all through synchronicity and experiences
• It starts with clocks and signs and builds to receiving messages without words in the heart
• We wait for words and often they speak through nature and the world around us
• You start to live authentically and on purpose instead of people pleasing
• Mediumship development teaches you about your energy, boundaries and capacity
• This path gave me a new sense of authentic living that feels freeing instead of looking cool
• I believe living on purpose means finding joy in the human experience
• Everyone I know who enters the mediumship space leaves with their own sense of purpose
• Our purpose can be outside of work and earning money despite how society operates
• I want to give a shout out to my bestie’s dad Bart in Malibu for being such a big fan 
• Developing new interpersonal and communication skills for personal and professional growth
• Some people are more interested in fame that won’t receive the benefits of personal growth
• The world of spirit will put you to work whether it is in readings or everyday life
• I wouldn’t have been able to trust and go full-time in mediumship without doing healing
• By declaring you work for spirit, you get to become an ally for the spirit world and humanity
• To heal my people pleasing, I declared that I work for spirit instead of focusing on the sitter
• I now am centered and am ready to work for both realms, humanity and spirit
• I care about people and humanity, but not at the expense of my own energy and boundaries
• I fell back in love with humanity at the Sacred Spirit Retreat
• Because of this, and mediumship development, I see the good in the world despite the bad
• These are just a few of the perks of development that have nothing to do with readings

• My free and paid resources are equally as impactful and have the same standards
• Many of us who lean into service are doing it from a place of what we hope to receive
• As an Indigenous woman, I don’t tolerate any racism toward Indigenous people online
• I worked in and was passionate about First Nations healthcare
• I realized how much emotional, spiritual and physical labor was involved in checking racism
• In 2023, the audience shouldn’t have to check the comments for publications
• On TikTok, there are people from all different backgrounds sharing wisdom
• I am grateful for the social justice warriors creating digestible content for people to learn
• I could see how much labor goes into educating others on what it’s like to be a person of colour
• TikTok had stories of BIPOC people expected to educate their workplace on racism
• We all have the resources to educate ourselves at our fingertips
• My thoughts on free labour started in the social justice space
• Inclusion such as in an interview process is often to tick a box for the bare minimum
• I’m going to use my Spirit School space and Instagram as my examples of online spaces
• Instagram started asking a lot of labour of creators to keep up with trends like Reels
• Unlike Instagram, TikTok has a creator fund to reward the work people put into their content
• I hired three creators who were critical of the spiritual space to audit my classes and business
• I want to ensure my body of work is not causing harm or feeling like a cult in any way
• As a busy mom, I made a conscious decision that I did not have time for Reels
• For the past 4 years, I’ve had 4-7 fake imposter accounts at a time pretending to be me
• They mirror my account and scam people by having them pay for alleged readings
• It takes a lot of free labour to report them and respond to the hundreds of DMs about them
• The messages letting us know are well-intended but the notifications are overwhelming
• I have to complete a form and upload a photo of myself with my ID for Meta to report them
• Instagram never takes them down, and I was paying $180/month in admin fees
• I just stopped doing the labour and scaled back my presence on Instagram
• People have crossed my boundaries expecting me to act as Google for them in DMs
• Chris Corsini on Instagram does free readings for every sign with ASL for accessibility
• He is an example of subtly reminding people to support him in exchange for free labour
• You can also support by engaging with free content and helping to answer questions
• There will be more free content coming to Spirit School as the team expands
• Asking questions publicly instead of privately allows more people to see the response
• Some teachers and creators have a “buy me a coffee” sign for donations
• If you DM someone, thank them for their time and energy if they respond
• I thank people who send genuine messages for their time and energy
• Responding to people’s posts as a community member is free labour, and has an impact
• Consider how we can be more reciprocal in the spaces we occupy
• Your energy and sharing experiences is the currency I value over money
• I may be the guiding force, but the people in Spirit School create the culture
• We are in a phase of our humanity where it's every person for themselves
• Indigenous ways of living revolve around the laws of reciprocity with Mother Earth
• Maybe we can learn more and collectively tend to Mother Earth

In this conversation, Sheila talks about her book, Brave, and how you can start being more brave in your everyday life. We both share the philosophy that you can apply your spiritual gifts in your existing career and start opening up to ways you can serve. Being brave also helps you build your spiritual self esteem and learn to trust in your abilities. Sheila also shares about her experience manifesting her husband and their IVF journey. In addition to speaking on stages, her dream of having a platform was also realized in a way she couldn’t have predicted when she was approached by a TV network about documenting her fertility journey. When we surrender, our manifestations will come in divine timing!

• Sheila’s powerful energy comes from being brave and building spiritual self esteem
• She quit her job to write her book because she believed in it and it sold well
• Sheila attributes her personal power to the amount of trauma healing she’s done
• Connecting to spirit can happen because of dissociation and trauma
• Psilocybin and other Indigenous medicines have also given her personal power
• There is a lot of research around psilocybin and mediumship
• Sheila’s book, Brave, has led to global keynote speaking opportunities
• She didn’t realize that the book would help so many people on their spiritual path
• When you awaken to authenticity and your gifts, life may not make sense anymore
• People in the corporate world were open to this message of reconciling the two lives
• Sheila suggests that you do both spiritual and corporate work first and enjoy it
• Meet new spiritual people that are more aligned as you transition
• Having a mentor and being part of a community can help you feel less alone
• I used to ask spirit to put me to work while I was still in corporate
• You may go part time before eventually quitting to do spiritual work
• Natural conflict between departments may drain your energy if you’re sensitive
• Sheila suggests leaning into the socialization at work instead of isolating
• I feel like being brave doesn’t get easier, but that we choose to do things anyways
• Sheila says we become more resilient and it doesn’t get easier because we do bigger things
• She leans into, “what is the new version of me that's trying to be reborn?”
• Bringing in guides, resting more, and self care make you more masterful in bravery
• Spirit rewards you for trusting, and the rewards make you braver
• Sheila hit a low point when a relationship ended at the same time her book came out
• She learned about the laws of manifesting to call in a conscious man
• She met him, moved in with him and began IVF together within a few months
• Their journey was followed by an Australian TV show called Big Miracles
• Going through IVF with a production crew required a lot of vulnerability
• Sheila believes that part of her purpose is showing the messy parts of the process
• Her partner Tyson has opened her up to nature as a form of spirituality
• We need teachers to show more vulnerable and dynamic sides of themselves
• Sheila and Tyson’s donor egg journey will also be featured on Season 2
• Hearing stories from people who share with her are inspiring
• Manifestations may come in unexpected ways, and in divine timing
• Using yourself as a channel for spirit is when miracles happen
• Holding onto the old has made depression and anxiety worse
• I’ve been manifesting sunshine instead of the original rainy forecast for the retreat
• Visualizing, feeling, repetition, music and journaling can help to manifest
• Sheila is coming to teach a two-day workshop with me at Spirit School

History of Chillingham Castle (@historyhit):

• Chillingham Castle was a monastery in the 12th Century
• Edward the first, the hammer of the Scots, led his Scottish campaigns from this location
• The first recorded accounts of the ghosts were penned by Lady Leonora Tankerville
• There was an increase in occult spiritualism during Edwardian and Victorian times
• Sir Arthur Conan Doyle commended Lady Tankerville on her reports of the Chillingham ghosts
• The current owner is from the original Gray family owners and has overseen renovations
• Guests still report seeing flashes of blue similar to ghosts sightings of the past
• A priest who traveled to get rid of ghosts said there were too many there

My Experience of Chillingham Castle:

• I went when I was 19 years old in 2002, right out of high school and obsessed with Most Haunted
• Putting this show together was fun because it brought up so much nostalgia
• Paranormal things and ghosts tend to be our entry into the spiritual space
• At that time, I was immersed in books and TV shows with Sylvia Brown and John Edwards 
• I joined a paranormal investigation group when the first Most Haunted episode came out
• I was so excited at that time and didn’t know that I was a medium yet
• I validated what the mediums got and went through photos and audio recordings of our outings
• I caught some EVPs from those recordings and overnight ones from my bedside
• My ex husband was from England and we traveled once a year
• We stayed in the tower at Chillingham Castle in the off season and I was so excited
• My memories of this time are piecemeal because it was not a healthy relationship
• Scotland has my heart and I still want to visit there again
• I couldn’t believe how much I missed the mountains when traveling
• My ex-husband and I were the only people there other than the caretaker 
• We stayed in the tower, which was used for Scottish prisoners of war
• I was in awe of how much history was there compared to somewhere like Vancouver
• Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night was terrifying in the castle
• The strangest thing that happened was not being able to see the castle on the only road
• The keeper gave us a midnight tour of the torture chamber that scared me
• One paranormal thing that happened was light coming in and a loud popping noise that woke me
• I have heard a voice yelling my name in my ear a couple of times 
• A friend’s mom came to me and I saw the Almost Famous poster and her name was Penny
• My friend wasn’t initially receptive and that is part of why I don’t do drive-by readings
• I am still unsure of my belief in earthbound spirits or if they have passed on and choose to visit
• Part of the reason I am undecided is that some teachers I respect believe in them
• We never caught anything definitive in my paranormal investigation years
• Beautiful music or framing it as an angel experience could change your perspective
• Our beliefs are our choices and we have free will
• The more spiritually aware we become, the more we realize we don’t know
• Because of Mavis’ beliefs, I firmly believed earthbound spirits didn’t exist a couple years ago
• I think there are reasons for mysteries, including the opportunity to expand our beliefs
• Some Spirit School Collective members share their experiences with haunted places
• Being stuck on specific beliefs limits our potential for spiritual growth and expansion
• I saw a full apparition of a little boy by my husband’s side of the bed when I was pregnant
• I lost that pregnancy and learned through a medium that it was my child that I saw
• Before my trauma informed training I would negate people’s lived experiences
• I like to straddle both sides of the conversation without imposing my beliefs
• Each of us having our own truth does not make it the capital T truth
• I believe there is a divine reason for us to be divided in spiritual beliefs

• We did not come here to chase the next thing constantly.
• It is up to us to continue to expand on this path and to continue to expand through the hurdles and road bumps that come our way.
• We are signifying the re-emergence of Mother Earth in the northern hemisphere.
• A big word that Spirit is giving me revitalization.
• Tap into that life force and allow it to grow inside of you.
• An activation of life force continues to move through us.
• Remember that only the most courageous have chosen to come forward during this time.
• Set out a new course for a new way of being on this planet, a new way of being in community with one another.
• We need to get uncomfortable before we can tap into a higher vision of newness.
• We can pave a path forward that is more aligned with what we want to see for ourselves, our families and the collective.
• The world of Spirit is letting us know that a new awareness is coming.
• It takes courage to pave a path that has yet to be walked.
• The guides are very close for April.
• We enter a new year for the astrological calendar of April.
• We haven't been alone on this journey; our next steps will not be misguided.
• If we are stuck in a cycle of old ways of being with ourselves and each other, we must choose new thoughts.
• We have to feel worthy of this life force and revitalization to move it through us.
• I am here to remind you that you were born worthy, and nothing has changed.
• The month of April is asking you to assess your wheel of life.
• Where does your desire for change want to guide you?
• We all are amplifiers of energy, and we get to choose what kind of energy radiates through us.
• There has been a lot of deep spiritual work in the winter months, and the world of Spirit applauds you for meeting your shadow.
• You are free to move on to a lighter path and trust that the lingering energetics of everything you worked on through the winter will be completed as you move forward.
• We have to stop thinking about things as being so linear.
• There is a lot of focus on love relationships coming up into spring; we're willing to be more vulnerable and more ourselves around each other.
• We cannot hide our deepest sense of self anymore.
• If we have not done the work to allow our most vulnerable sides to come through, we will enter this season feeling very naked.
• We are going to be finding much deeper relationships in our lives.

Before the episode, I shared a few Spirit School updates before I take my first break in 2023! There has been so much happening between the membership, running programs, planning the retreat, and building my physical school on the Squamish waterfront. I may be experiencing decision fatigue from the renovation, but there have been so many magical moments on this journey. I already have Sheila V, Dominic Bogue and Julie Poole scheduled to teach in the Spirit School space this year! I’ve also had money and connections appear effortlessly to provide solutions as I needed them. I’ve felt that my late mentor Mavis Pittilla has had a hand in making the Spirit School journey so magical!

Questions & Topics:

• Some of my readings are intuitive, and some mediumship, and some both. I've had a lot of people ask how often they can book a session. I just said they could whenever they feel called to do so. But I'm not really sure if there's a rule of thumb for this. What do you suggest, Danielle? 
• Avoiding codependency and taking opportunities to mentor clients in their own gifts
• Do you allow your sitters to record your readings? I know some mediums are very adamant about no recording, but this seems to be a popular request. What are the major concerns with this?
• Accepting cringe moments and shadows, and challenging “standards” in mediumship
• When did you really know that mediumship was for you, that this was something you wanted to do as a profession? Did you feel it like a calling or was it more like a slow burn?
• Could you talk a little bit about knowing when you're ready to serve the public? I'm finding that I'm always thinking I'm just not good enough and I am kind of wondering if I'll get to the point where I do feel good enough. 
• I've heard many people say it's easier to read for those who actually have a need, but then I get worried that I won't meet their need. Any insight to this? 
• I find myself asking clarifying questions during my readings to ensure I'm interpreting and discerning information from the spirit accurately. Any tips on how to get away from doing this?
• I find I do best when my sitter is more involved in the reading. For instance, when they ask questions, I receive the answers quickly. When we don't have a specific question or intention, I find the reading still works, but it's not as powerful. Any thoughts on this?

In this episode, Winter defines some of the key terms associated with physical mediumship and transfiguration to provide us with a basic understanding. She shares some of her experiences as both a sitter and a medium, giving us more context around what happens in a dark seance. Winter also talks about how skeptics going into a reading with a code word can ruin a reading because the sitter’s energy impacts the energy. The only negativity she has experienced in this work is from other humans. • When you go through the gate, it's almost like the energy is palpable
• There are workshops on all different metaphysical topics
• Dominic Boag is coming to teach at Spirit School and will be on the East Coast this summer
• There is a children’s week with programs so parents can go to classes
• Winter is teaching at a symposium of physical mediumship in Victorian times June 18-22
• Apports are when objects are materialized by spirit
• Transfiguration is when spirit changes the features of the medium
• Physical mediumship is usually done in the dark with red, green or blue light
• Physical mediumship has traditionally been hosted outside the boundaries of Lilydale proper
• An image of Winter’s dad with evidence was created on paper by spirit in a seance and after
• Not many mediums knew about physical mediumship, so Winter took courses to learn about it
• Mental mediumship is messages coming through for the sitter
• Sitters witness physical mediumship through the senses
• The room gets cold, and people may see, hear, smell, or feel the presence of spirit
• In transfiguration, an ectoplasmic mist builds up in front of her face and other faces appear
• Physical mediumship takes years of dedication with no guarantee of anything happening
• Elementals will elongate Winter’s ear, and recently her middle finger has been elongated
• A medium told her that she would know she’s working with an ET when her finger grows long
• In one of the photos, Winter’s face is transformed into what is clearly a man’s face
• Winter shares her opinion on Surviving Death such as how code words were depicted
• Having a code word comes from lack and prevents you from receiving other evidence
• Mediumship is not a perfect science, just as no one in other professions are perfect
• Mediums use cabinets for physical mediumship to contain the energy that is building
• Winter is tied down during transfiguration in case of unexpected movements and ectoplasm burns
• Metal jewellery needs to be removed so people don’t think it’s an apport, and to avoid interference
• Being able to communicate with animals has caused a “foster fail” for Winter with kittens
• Winter does feel some discomfort from physical mediumship but says you get over it
• As a sitter at a seance, you may feel nausea or pulling if spirit uses your energy
• Winter describes it as a 2 out of 10 for discomfort, though women have high pain tolerance
• I had a trance experience where I felt my crown being pulled and felt I needed to heal someone
• Trance is not the same as physical mediumship, but can benefit your mental mediumship
• I’ve been told by Winter and Mavis that I could do physical mediumship, but I love teaching
• Winter says the only negativity she’s experienced in mediumship is from other humans
• She does do house clearings and tries to teach people how to do it themselves
• We are all spirit, just in a different form, so you can set intentions and step into your power

Knowledge exchange came up in the February Spirit Messages, and I've been shifting my perspective on how I engage with my peers and with those who inspire me. I want to be reciprocal in nature to thank them for their time and energy. 

If I were to say that this month is to be focused on one thing, it's going be awareness around this exchange and looking at what you need as an exchange to feel filled up again.

As we are heading into spring, the world of Spirit really wants to bring to our attention this sense of renewal that we need to bring into ourselves. We will have some beautiful representations in the natural world around us, with Mother Earth and the abundance that comes with that reciprocity. 

It's a very spiritual month. A lot of the things that are coming up are around spirituality. So if you have been feeling disconnected from spirituality or disengaged from your spiritual path, this will be a really exciting month for you to reconnect.

• We're going to find ourselves outside and connecting with nature. 
• We give, give, give and tend to overgive as parents, but there is an opportunity to receive if we shift our perspective.
• There is the opportunity for us to be recharged and refilled by little nuances that happen every day. 
• This is going to be a month of expanding our awareness. 
• We will shift that perspective on 'how can I make this a more reciprocal experience?'
• The things that can bring us the most joy will be those little moments. 
• Be the person who looks out and takes in that moment of full presence and gratitude for the experience you're having right now.
• Reframe anxiety: 'It's like I get to experience these nerves and call them excitement.'
• Not everything that depletes us will be changeable.
• Find the law of reciprocity in existing situations and relationships.
• I don't believe we are meant to live this life without hiccups or depletion.
• We are coming into a lot of completions when it comes to the end of March - a lot of it is around stories you're telling yourself. 
• The practice of awareness and of being extremely hyper-present gives us spiritual resolve, and becoming aware of love and joy in your everyday moments will fill you up. 
• Little practices will help build the spiritual strength you have sought in other places. 
• Not everything that works for someone will work for you; spirituality, above all else, is not a one size fits all journey. 
• I need to say this directly from Spirit, 'you are not a burden.'
• Keeping so many different worries and concerns inside can lead to digestive issues, and it's time to break this cycle. 
• Release some of what you're carrying and share that load with others; it is helping other people in their karma. 
• When we are sitting and listening to people, we're not trading wounds.
• We need to ask the people approaching us, 'do you want me to sit back and listen to you? Or can you inform me when you are looking for my feedback or advice?'
• We want to get a lot more emotionally intelligent in our exchanges.
•  There are counsellors out there that will happily listen to you.
• There will be so many powerful dreams and feeling of the presence of the spirit world.
• Not everyone has the privilege of rest, but carve out time for it if you do.

In today’s episode, we talked about our consciousness rising here on earth and how we are moving towards a Golden Age. Julie shared how aliens, highly evolved beings, are supporting us in our evolution and how we as humans will connect to each other in a new way. • I found Julie’s YouTube energy forecasts to be so accurate that I booked a reading
• As a hypnotherapist and counselor, she has a holistic approach as a spiritual/life coach

• You are a synergy of different parts and are greater when they come together
• She empowers you to use tools and find your own answers
• We can’t bypass the human experience of learning from our mistakes
• As a child, Julie noticed the disconnect in Christians between their behaviour in and out of church
• There are many people awakening and expanding as we approach the Golden Age
• We’re past the tipping point and it’s easier to see the darkness with more light
• We’ve signed up to be here and help others during this transition
• The Golden Age will be a time of genuinely caring for and understanding each other
• We’ve had the most rapid change in history in the last 100 years
• We are moving towards higher vibrational energies that are love-based, not fear-based
• Rules are breaking so we can step into our freedom and question them
• Spiritual teachers from the past show us how to be less judgemental and more compassionate
• As we expand, we become more aware of people’s emotions and energy
• Aliens can be in a body, or an energetic form, not from earth called HEBs (highly evolved beings)
• There are aliens already advanced to where we are heading in the next 500 years
• HEBs want to help up because the universe rises when earth does
• I grew up in a family obsessed with sci-fi and had a fear of aliens
• Our chakras are expanding to have more capacity for security, love and confidence
• Generations born in times of fear and war are more insecure, and each one gets stronger
• Having these abilities in the 70s and 80s was seen as a party trick
• Julie read books and connected to spirit on her own and joined a circle at 37
• Her children were brought up with her talking to spirit, using crystals, and running a circle
• Julie’s son joined her circle as a teen and was a natural but shifted away
• Her daughter learned from her example and has manifested amazing things with ease
• It’s more open to do this work and not behind closed doors through word of mouth
• It takes practice to develop intuitively and it’s great to have videos to look back on
• Julie received positive comments on videos she felt weren’t good enough, but said “it’ll do”
• It’s not about how good we think it is, but the fact that it is meant to help people
• Her YouTube channel started with free self hypnosis audios to help people
• In 2017, Julie had her first online session with a client over Skype
• She followed nudges to add tarot readings and her business took off
• Julie cut back her client hours to write her book and start a podcast
• She is learning about podcasting from scratch through YouTube
• Julie also reduced her hours to be with her children in their formative years
• Content from programs that didn’t take off ended up being part of her book
• Because her books are channeled, she writes them quickly, the longest taking 10 months
• Her new book is called From Hoping to Having: The Three Rs to Create Your Best Life. 
• The three parts, the three Rs are remember, reset, receive
• Remember is about your creating from your personal, spiritual and I am power 
• Reset is about reprogramming your responsibilities, boundaries and commitments
• Receiving is about kindness, gratitude, forgiveness, prosperity and health
• People feel that the law of attraction doesn’t work, but they are missing steps
• There is a separate affirmations booklet to complement the book
• You need to have boundaries in order to manifest the life of your dreams

• It’s a sacred feminine space of support, not turning out content for the masses
• Seeing a framework of collaboration is healing in a space focused on the individual

• The only way to get over fear is to walk through it
• I started the podcast to talk about how vulnerable it is to show up in mediumship
• Showing up publicly to do readings is a real legit fear
• Learning and hearing that you’re not alone helps 
• Confidence is on the other side of action
• People are always scared of doing practice readings the first week in The Initiation
• Despite the fear, Initiation students are glad they had practice readings week one
• Once you walk through the first resistance, you’re in the arena
• I don’t want to have regrets about not doing things because I didn’t feel ready
• The time is always now
• Everyone is waiting for a “signier sign” to know when it’s time to do something
• Having the inspiration is your soul offering the opportunity now
• If you have an inspiration, you should run with it 
• Things work out better when I do them before I’m ready than when I plan for perfection
• I have a team supporting me, so I can act on ideas much quicker now
• You can always see things from a higher perspective
• We can get stuck in the vortex of our difficult human experiences
• Sooner or later you will be asked to look at that situation from a higher perspective
• It may come externally through others, or through reflection on your healing journey
• I don’t want to bypass that some things happen to us out of our control
• “History is written, so now what?”
• I am able to zoom out and find the higher perspective quicker after 10 years of healing
• Someone’s true colours discouraged me from having readers under my brand in 2022
• When no one signed up for the agency, it only took me a couple days to let it go
• Spirit made me realize that there were other things that needed my attention
• When I am healing, I ask, “Can I see this from the eyes of the angels/spirit world?”
• You grow the most through discomfort
• We don’t change, and have less growth, when things are comfortable
• I ride the cycles of ebbs and flows with a higher perspective and acceptance
• I have seen the biggest expansion on the flow side of that ebb that I honored
• Memes are brilliant ways of expressing things in a synthesized way
• There is always a cringe after teaching or recording a podcast episode
• Cringe moments are here to teach us how to accept ourselves as we come
• Like intention, acceptance is another secret sauce to live a free and expansive life
• The healing couldn’t start until I came into acceptance with myself and what happened
• In the end, you truly are your own best friend, even if you have friends and coaches
• I had to get to a place where I could lead myself through every single situation
• You're actually not meant to bypass the human experience
• There is a lot of dialogue about ascending and replacing icky feelings with good ones
• I needed to experience the grief of losing Bender to grow as a medium
• I believe that our guides also evolve when we have human experiences

I know so many of you out there want to be able to share all the things that you know. So, I feel very much that Spirit's encouraging us to give ourselves a bit more space to figure these things out, see where we land, and really get clear on the intention of the ripple effect that we want to create in the future and for our future selves.

• We're holding the duality of things going well and not going well and we get to choose which one we lean into
• At the end of 2022, there was sifting energy and shaking energy, trying to get the good stuff to come to the top – and there was a lot of discomfort.
• As we move into February there's a new heightened awareness about who we are and what we stand for
• Around Valentine's Day, you will have confidence and clarity around how you're choosing to spend your time and who you're choosing to spend it with
• Showing up in your own inner truth for the month of February will be lighting a path for a new way of potentially being
• I would love for people, instead of saying, 'pick your brain,' if you can present it as a knowledge exchange
• By showing up and honoring your own inner truth and worth, you’re giving other people permission to do the same.
• It’s about sifting out other people's voices and other people's beliefs and other people's analogies and phrases and terminology and really identifying your own inner truth
• If you want to go deeper into these Spirit messages sit in spiritual contemplation (suggested direction included)
• We are in a time of great divine free will and the future is still unset
• This isn’t a time to make rash decision or big pivots
• We need to reconcile our inner truth and come into a level of acceptance of it to heal it
• Start making decisions that are reflective of the future you desire, not the history and the cycles of the past
• A lot of us will start to feel a lot more contentment and start making decisions from that content place
• Spirit is celebrating us so hard; they're literally rooting us on and celebrating us

In today’s episode, I am sharing a channeled class and philosophy  from the last round of The Initiation about mediumship as an art. The live classes in my intimate development experiences are in response to the questions and conversations happening in the community. Part of the reason I’ve taught this mediumship foundations program so many times is that it’s different every round! 

Though there is more scientific research being done and there is a basic structure, mediumship is more of a healing artform. If you think of it like a blank canvas, you get to bring your own experiences and modalities and create something new!

• Science is getting closer to understanding mediumship, it is still a form of art
• We can have more fun on this path if we see it as a blank canvas

• You can pull an oracle card for inspiration if you’re stuck in a reading
• Scribbling what comes up initially can help mediums narrow the focus to start
• You can refer to the paper if you get stuck, just like oracle cards
• Almost everything I write unfolds, even if I don’t look
• Don’t let people tell you that using tools is a crutch
• Mediumship is an art form and mentors give you a brush and paint
• You are the blank canvas and get to decide how and what to paint
• Some of you may fall into comparing colours, tools, or skills
• It took me awhile on my journey to realize that you could add layers
• Everyone’s painting turns out different with the same prompts
• Your mediumship and connection to spirit are just as unique
• You miss the creative process if you analyze instead of allowing it to unfold
• If something you learn doesn’t work, you’ll find your own technique that you can teach
• The creative process is the path that reveals what you will teach
• You can change the brush or colours anytime
• When you get a no, it provides clarity for you to tweak the “happy mistakes”
• We aren’t for everyone, so it needs to be your own taste for you to enjoy it 
• Although I’m not artistic, creating a business is the most creative thing I’ve done
• Document your experiences to look back at how far you’ve come
• You can feel the energetic difference between the words discern and analyze
• We talk about the importance of language in advancing mediumship modules
• I don’t Google spiritual philosophies until I’ve contemplated them myself
• Spiritual maturity is the ability to discern, not analyze
• Analyzing is the ability to make conclusions based on natural senses
• Discernment goes past perception and makes nuanced judgements
• Discernment is more passive like observing your thoughts
• Spirituality is meant to be experienced, not analyzed through logic
• Discernment increases in sensitivity along our journey
• No good reading identifies us and no bad reading identifies us.

I couldn't wait to record this episode because all month it's just been coming in so, so clear that when we feel into the energy of January, we are being asked to start looking to our future selves. This is very powerful because I know from being in the intuitive mediumship and spiritual development journey, that there's so much healing that has to take place to be able to step fully and confidently into our paths as lightworkers.

Spirit Messages:

• All of December, Spirit has been saying it’s time to start looking to our future selves
• A lot of healing takes place to be able to step confidently into our paths as lightworkers.
• There is a focus on the past, but it’s an important time to make decisions for the future
• We are more aware of repeating cycles and patterns than a few generations ago
• Cycles are broken by choosing again and making decisions based on future benefits
• Even for diet and exercise, are you choosing for your 90-year-old self?
• If you’re the only one in your circle to break the cycle, the effects will ripple
• Spirit is asking us to take leaps and see how it feels
• Have a note to ask, how will this affect my future self?
• It’s now or never for society to not revert back to comfortable ways
• We are creating a new foundation for our generations moving forward
• In January, we are getting clear on what and who we stand for
• Who needs your voice? A lot of you will be ready to share your wisdom
• You will be surprised with how much people need to hear what you have to say
• Throat chakra tightness will loosen as you express yourself
• The spaces we are usually quiet need us to step forward
• There is a lot of divine free will at play, so our future depends on every choice 
• Choose based on being a good ancestor for your lineage
• We have had chaos before, but this time we have exposure to all parts of the world
• As a spirit here at this time, can you see how valuable you are to the future?
• The 2019 messages to get our mindset right were preparing us for 2020 forward
• Another repetitive message from the past year was being comfortable with discomfort
• Spirit is bringing up how we avoid and pacify discomfort to prepare us for 2023
• Beyond August will be dependent on our words and actions
• Discomfort is an energy of change which is necessary
• Starting in January, we have to be a lot more selective about our energy
• Spirit revisited a previous message about healing on the go
• You don’t need to be fully healed before moving forward into your future
• There will be a lot of determination in 2023 to walk through obstacles
• People doubting you won’t stop you from continuing
• The people you choose to surround you will continue when you need rest
• It makes sense that I didn’t feel like pulling 12 cards now that I couldn’t see the fall
• 8 Accelerated Motion card aligns with us moving forward, not back
• The Light card indicates spiritual experiences if we listen to the January messages
• We will realize that our light never diminishes, even in the dark times
• The Increased Intuition card reflects confidence we’re building in our intuition
• Even systems like medical and law enforcement will use intuitive language
• Coming out with intuitive gifts will be safer than before
• Development will be a natural byproduct of living intuitively with boundaries
• Life is always hard and beautiful, and we get to choose how to show up

In this episode: 

• I’ve got a bit more clarity on what the focus will be for 2023
• While last January feels like lifetimes ago, I also don’t know where the time has gone
• 2022 started with the obsession with getting Spirit School off of social media 
• I have benefitted from this shady system of social media, particularly Instagram
• Stories of me crying had 1000 views, but talking about The Initiation had 150 max
• Meta platforms made it so that you have to pay for ads for promotions to be seen
• There was a hearing about the intentional harm in Meta’s algorithms
• I felt a mismatch in values having Spirit School on their platforms
• Another issue is that there are always 3-5 scam accounts impersonating me
• I had to hire someone to help manage my DMs, and it took the fun out of being there
• Reels are being pushed and I don’t want to be a content creator
• TikTok builds up creators then takes away their exposure, creating unequal exchange
• My IG growth is slow because I don’t play games and I block suspicious followers
• Moving my programs off of Meta and onto Mighty Networks was a sovereign move
• Mighty is an all-in-one platform with opportunities for growth 
• My team moved all of my historical content to Mighty over 5 months
• We launched successfully with The Calling, then moved the Collective 
• I’m off of Facebook but will not leave Instagram because of my audience
• Off social media, I have Mighty, my podcast and mailing list for sovereign growth
• I will be able to buy it out as my own platform, and I get to just show up and speak
• I’ve focused on getting trauma informed from a financial place as a BIPOC woman
• I kept finding myself in relationship with people who worship money
• I don’t think about it that much, but I wondered if I was supposed to
• Being around people who talked about money a lot made me feel not enough
• I had a friend literally choose the pursuit of wealth over genuine friendship 
• I have named my money wounds and have come a long way in my healing
• I became trauma informed certified for entrepreneurship
• In January, I will be certified through the Trauma of Money and will be a facilitator
• I’m passionate about this because money stuff comes up for lightworkers 
• I had resistances to helping clients with pricing because of my own wounds
• I’ve learned so much and I’ll have the tools to help people when money comes up
• I was trauma-informed before because I worked with Indigenous residential school survivors and youth
• Just because you’re trauma informed doesn’t mean you won’t traumatize someone
• It’s about being prepared and having the skillset to repair
• All lightworkers, especially mediums, could benefit because we work with grief
• I’ve made changes to my business like removing penalties for payment plans
• Clarity is kindness, so I created a detailed syllabus for The Initiation
• It was a successful year in terms of money, but I value connection
• This was the hardest year of my life in a lot of ways
• WIthin a week, my dad was diagnosed with cancer and my brother was in a coma
• I had just recorded a reel to my younger self to love on my brother 
• The hardest part was when I had to say goodbye to him
• I took a month off to be by his side every day while he recovered
• Having opportunities for exposure fall through showed I’ll be self made
• It dissolved the illusion of exposure and I realized it’s an ad to be featured
• I’ve created Spirit School from my bedroom, but I started looking for a space
• Everything unfolded for me to get one of three waterfront spaces in Squamish
• I got funding from an Indigenous capital organization to build the space
• My first retreat is going to be focused on deep spiritual experiences
• I will run the first Initiation 2.0 to focus on psychic, group readings and business
• I’ve already had some plans stripped away, so this could change

• One of my claircognizant exercises is to journal things that can be validated tomorrow
• I keep all of my development journals and can see the accuracy of the lists increasing
• No matter which practice I chose, I always dedicated 30 minutes a day to sitting with spirit
• When you care about it, you will make space for development
• My goal is to make spiritual development accessible, so choose what resonates with you
• It is a great act of self love to have space to tune into yourself, even for 30 minutes
• Your sensitivity and connection to yourself and your intuition will increase
• The world of spirit watches us and helps align things that match our intentions and actions
• Wild spiritual experiences have followed after dedicated to sitting with spirit
• Even when things get busy, I yearn for that connection and spend time sitting with spirit
• This helps us to open our awareness back up to spirit when it feels like it’s closed up
• Music can help busy minds to stay present when sitting in the power

• It is surreal to have people reading his new book and reflecting back how impactful it is
• Someone from Llewellyn publishing saw his interview on Shift Network and offered a book deal
• He wrote his new book, Spirit Speaks, in a focused month of writing
• Michael saw a need for his type of teaching that is not technique based
• He wanted his book to have everything someone needs to begin their mediumship journey
• If you teach a technique, it’s not going to work for everyone
• Teach the bigger principles of surrender, allowing, trust, letting go of tension
• Pioneers of spiritualism didn’t have techniques, they sat in presence and communed with Spirit
• Spiritualists in the US and UK had to overcome religious extremism 
• In Indigenous cultures, it was accepted as a role you were born into without barriers
• Spiritualists asked religious questions, like does Jesus say this is okay?
• Indigenous cultures talk to animal and plant people as equals on this planet
• Michael notes that today’s battle is scientific in addition to being religious 
• In a materialistic society, it’s hard to imagine not having to prove something
• We can’t bypass the human experience and need for some validation 
• In the end, we want to honour the world of spirit and their messages
• Focus on the phenomena of mediumship makes spirit a tool for performance
• I imagine that my Nana would demand my attention as a medium
• TV mediums created new expectations of what a sitting is like
• While it normalized mediumship, but it also lowered the standards in some ways
• The UK has kept it sacred, while it’s about entertainment and persona in the US
• It’s not about systems and structures, it’s innate and about spiritual experiences
• Religious context makes Spiritualism less accessible to people with religious trauma
• Everyone loses someone, so can benefit from mediumship
• We need people from all different walks of life to make it accessible
• Mediums we admire are grounded and don’t need to prove themselves
• Pinnacle mediums like Helen Hughes have shown what’s possible
• She learned how to speak in front of people because of the responsibility
• Though used offensively in literature, “ignorance” may mean more free to channel
• Being a clear channel has more to do with surrender and confidence than intelligence
• The title “evidential medium” has been used as a way to present as superior
• It goes without saying that mediumship should be evidential so titles aren’t that crucial
• There are people that will prefer facts, and others who prefer shared memories
• We are all natural mediums because it’s how we connect to our spiritual self
• CHildren have abilities before their prefrontal cortex is developed
• Even a natural medium needs to develop and learn, just like a pianist
• Michael has a troubleshooting section in the book of common issues
• He reads excerpts are about having a heart of service and trusting yourself
• One change in mediumship is it is a staple in research of evidential proof of survival
• We are also moving away from showmanship and into the bigger picture and meaning
• We will be discerning what is genuine and what is harmful on platforms like TikTok
• Genuine and honest people don’t need to be loud and receive the validation
• Michael reflected his appreciation for how I share my voice in this work

December Spirit Messages:

• The first messages was returning to love
• Being wrapped in divine white loving light by spirit 
• Spirit acknowledging us for everything we’ve been through this year
• These experiences help us to grow collectively in humanity and on the other side
• We have had to surrender and find our inner guidance for discernment
• It feels like we have reached the peak and will be unwinding and unpacking
• We are being asked to return to love at this time
• Can we see conflicts from a lens of love?
• Allow yourself to anchor into love from the inside out
• Some of you may feel a resistance to this love because of conditioning
• Until we can receive it from our source, we won’t receive it in from others
• Take intentional moments to sense and return to that love
• There will be a ripple effect in our homes, communities and globally if we do
• Spirit is asking us not to overcomplicate the healing required to change society
• Returning to love can bring completions and resolutions in mindset and relationships
• If you feel this love daily in December, your life can be very different by next month
• Simplify and streamline so that you can focus on what matters most
• Ask yourself how you can experience the busyness of the holidays with a place of love
• There were a lot of 1s, indicating new beginnings for the new year
• April is the astrological new year and spring feels like a fresh start
• If you are feeling bored looking ahead, reimagine with excitement
• It can be scary making changes when there are no guarantees
• There's healing in taking positive movement forward in things that excite you
• Why choose boredom when it’s just as uncertain?
• Cards are also suggesting that collaboration could be the path forward
• There is throat chakra and speaking attached to this
• I am collaborating for my Trauma Informed Light Worker Certification Program
• I could do it alone but I want to bring in other voices and perspectives
• The world of spirit acknowledges your acceptance of your darker sides
• You will gain so much confidence from the deep work this year
• We chose to be who and where we are because we are needed here

• Stacee described her ability as telekinesis and x-ray vision related to her autism
• Sometimes it’s spirit or their higher self giving information and messages
• She’s always had these abilities but didn’t understand them
• Stacee was branded a hypochondriac because she could feel everyone else’s shit
• I often feel like I am picking up on the ailments of my parents when I feel achy
• Stacee recommends that you ask spirit if it’s yours or someone else’s
• Thank them for the information and say process and release and/or touch a tree
• Intuitive people’s auras are bigger and at one time we could all feel and understand each other
• A medical study showed that Tylenol or Advil deceases empathy
• Early in my development, I had a knowing not to take it before my sessions
• In the spiritual space, people are afraid that medications will affect their abilities
• Take care of your mental health and discern for yourself what feels right
• I know of many mediums who can work fine with their medications
• I recommend that students look at Stacee’s disclaimers and preparation for clients
• She says her medical field experience and life coaching certification helped with intake
• State your abilities and refer people for anything outside of that
• Some things were added to the disclaimer after things went wrong
• It’s important to have an emergency contact in case something happens on a call
• Being trauma informed is important when dealing with sensitive topics in readings
• Stacee shared a story about spirit urging her to share medical info at a farmer’s market
• I don’t typically advise drive by readings, but this one seemed like divine intervention
• Being in crowded places without shielding can be physically overwhelming
• Stacee tries to go when it’s less crowded or collapses her aura down for protection
• Her favourite readings are helping children with special needs communicate with parents
• People in the healing arts are healing intergenerational money wounds
• Healers used to be supported by the community, but now money is the exchange
• Stacee has learned medical intuition from listening to spirit and clients’ bodies
• Spirit leads her to resources for things she needs to learn
• At a medical conference, a body scan indicated that people with tattoos leak energy
• Stacee realized that tattoos are healing based on their placement 
• Her dad was a naturopath and she learned about acupuncture points as a child
• She began telling people what they were healing from their tattoo placements
• My inner forearm tattoos mean healing from control and taking power back
• This aligns with the cultural genocide of my Indigenous ancestors
• I had a birthmark that disappeared and a new one appear this year 
• Birthmarks are unhealed emotions from ancestors or past lives
• My birthmark brought up the fact that I am a chronic worrier and need to trust my intuition
• As spiritual people, we are aware of more things to be fearful of
• We are in a human body to learn, and birthmarks may show why we have returned
• Stacee will be teaching an intensive medical intuition course
• Cheap certifications are not ethical, or inclusive of the experience needed

November is going to be an exciting month in Spirit School! In the Collective, we will have practice circles and a Q&A on death doula work with me. Sara Rose will also be teaching about Human Design in the membership, and there will be weekly opportunities to practice as always. • The first message that came to me for November was “a little bit more”
• We think we need to have a huge shift to change things for ourselves
• We actually just need a little bit more - peace, socialization, time to ourselves
• Over-consumption is the norm but we don’t actually desire a lot more
• We forget what we’ve been through in the pandemic, like after childbirth
• Extremes have lessened over time, but we still feel we need something drastic
• Spirit wants you to ask yourself, what can you do a little bit more of?
• The shifts are big even if they seem small
• There's also a message to have a bit more compassion for ourselves
• It has taken courage to get to where you are now so give yourself credit
• Desiring it more won’t make it come before it is meant to
• Allow what you desire to come to you and sit in the contentment of the moment
• A lot of us are past or forward thinking instead of being present in contentment
• Instead of treasure hunting for shadow work, just deal with what comes up
• Our peace will increase as the intensity of world events does as well
• I get the feeling that we are being lifted up and becoming a lot brighter
• If you usually avoid world events, you may be asked to step up in courage
• You are sensitive, so you won’t come across as harmful
• I don’t resonate with January as the new year, but people are thinking about 2023
• You can follow curiosities instead of sticking to one thing like in the past
• We don’t need to fully heal before moving on to the next thing
• Because I am not feeling well, I am going back to cards instead of channeling today
• We don’t have to relinquish hope when things are intense in the world
• We chose to be here and thrive at this time to gain spiritual strength
• We may not see the rewards, and new sense of clarity, for a year 
• Our loved ones in spirit are in awe that we chose to be here at this time
• Every choice we make shapes what the world will look like in a year
• I feel certain in my heart that we will be okay despite what happens in November
• The exchange of people stepping up while others sit in stillness is beautiful

Most of what I share about my business is the exciting parts of the journey. There are metrics to show that my business is successful, but I am also nine years into my development. In addition to the magic that happens, there are parts of it that are not so positive. I’ve been thinking a lot about the dichotomy we experience where we are thriving in one part of life, while consistently struggling in another.  In this episode, I am sharing some of the challenging and painful experiences on my entrepreneurship path to give a more balanced perspective on what it has entailed.

The question asked was, “I consider you successful as a business sister. You speak and do a lot of things that are very generous, and I know deeply you are a giving soul. How has that generosity of yourself healing sister wounds by supporting other women in their businesses impacted you?  And what is the return of spiritual energy for you?”

• I am not one to brag, but there are metrics to show that my business is successful

• I wouldn’t be able to do everything I do without my team
• The reward and joy on this path is parallel to the problems we face
• Like motherhood, the beauty of it is worth the hard work

• Lynn Tucknies credits me sharing her for being able to go full-time
• I contract when I talk about myself in this way
• I’m healing and getting better at seeing myself the way you see me
• It’s not common, but I also have other mediums co-teach and interview them
• I personally have never experienced the same generosity that I give other people
• I’ve been ghosted when being offered opportunities for TV shows, podcasts and magazines
• My intention for Spirit School was to create what I wish I had in my development
• The Spirit School Collective is an ecosystem that is supportive and non-competitive
• I have always had a long-term vision for my legacy
• My hope is that people who thrive in my spaces recreate that in their own communities
• One of my core values is reciprocity, which is lacking in this space
• I have a large and engaged audience who are drawn to my open way of sharing
• It has taken a lot of healing for me to work on my not enoughness
• My husband pointed out that my first mentor was taking advantage of me
• The pattern is that I do a lot for people and then am discarded
• Now that I am in a place of influence, people take advantage and don’t reciprocate
• After being on my podcast, bigger names haven’t shared it or talked to me again
• Recently, a guest I had on requested for their episode to air right away 
• I worked hard on making the episode interesting because I knew it would be a struggle
• When it came time to interview me, they provided no context and were scrolling on their phone
• They cut the interview short and said they would reschedule and then didn’t respond to me
• At first, I was too busy with the realtor and Spirit School for it to bother me
• I later realized how rude it was and have been unpacking my experience with mutuals
• I don’t feel threatened and have accepted that my audience may work with guests instead of me
• What is mine will not pass me, so I do not have scarcity in this work
• Spirit School is part of a vision to change the space of lightworking and mediumship
• People in the membership don’t act like that, and it is not an energetic match for those who do
• I feel that I am meant to be self-made without someone to help my career take off
• I desire for people coming after me to have a more collaborative experience
• I may never get to see the ripple effect that I have but that’s okay
• The return I receive is having people ask these questions and notice the difference
• I am not healed, but issues of worthiness and heartbreak have less influence over time
• I’ve always had a drive to work for what I wanted despite any obstacles
• Situations like this make me want to promote others and share the light more
• It has been the most magical month, but there has been an equal amount of negative too
• Declare that you will thrive, even in the shadow
• Ignore vanity metrics and focus on the audience you have now

This kind of inspired speaking feels so much more powerful than a mediumship link to me. There's just something about my spirit waking up when I speak about certain things, even in classes and mentorship sessions. The physical sensations and the emotional sensations that I get to experience every time I teach or record a podcast are so beautiful that I hope everyone in their lives gets to experience it at some point.

I can definitely feel my spirit  lifting and raising and expanding every time I speak something that I feel like my soul and my spirit really needs to speak. I believe that sometimes it is a combination of my spirit helpers on the other side inspiring me. In this episode, I share some recent experiences that demonstrate these philosophies.

• I used to use all types of modalities and look for signs that I am meant to do this work
• There is nothing in my life that makes me feel this way
• I didn’t feel it until I was 31 and I know many people never do
• It happens more consistently as you continue on your journey and let down your walls
• Most of my conversations with Skylar are one way, and occasionally I am gifted a response
• I was overwhelmed when he said that I choose, and that Spirit will adjust accordingly
• I could have served in corporate because we need lightworkers in all areas of society
• One of my students makes digital collages with AI and says AI needs our light
• I’m tired of waiting for drastic things to happen before policies are created
• I decided in December 2019 to incorporate my business and left my job in February
• During that time was the first time no one was booking readings
• I remember telling the world of spirit with such conviction, I'm doing it anyways
• As soon as I left, I was booked out and had people asking for online mentorship
• You may sometimes lean back too much or give too much power away
• In times that I was too depleted to use clairsentience and asked for clairaudience
• I still prefer clairsentience because it is tangible and evidential for me
• I asked for specific dates when I was feeling my deficits and got one in a reading
• I learn from you and build my confidence when you share similar experiences
• I understand that there are communities that want to keep their knowledge sacred
• While being mindful of that, I hope my way of sharing makes people feel seen
• A couple weeks ago, I had a rare moment where I felt successful
• I realized all that I’ve created from the side of my bed 
• I was told by my therapist and mentor that I should socialize more
• I started thinking in that feeling of success that an office would be good for me
• I first had a vision in 2017 of having a space on the waterfront in Squamish
• It wasn’t built up yet and the 20 year plan made it seem impossible
• Most of my profit goes to client experience and I thought it was out of my budget
• I found out that some retail spaces are less than my mastermind payment
• The realtor dismissed me and a friend connected me with another one through Instagram
• I said to spirit, I trust that if it’s meant to happen, it will happen easily for me
• Within an hour, she messaged me with a time to see the space the next day
• It hasn’t been listed and is more than my mastermind, but I know it’s my space
• My mentor Mavis Pittilla loved to teach spiritual philosophy, my favourite part of development
• Before her passing, I called in her mentor Gordon Higginson as an inspirer for teaching
• I asked for Mavis to inspire me for the class and it was one of my favourites 
• In bed, my daughter said, I know what happens in the seventh level of heaven. You reincarnate. 
• When I thought of the magic of today, I was overwhelmed with joy and support
• I recorded a lecture of Mavis in 2015 where she talked about the 7 levels of heaven
• I feel that these mediums from the past do listen and support me
• Trust that whatever you are ready for will come to you
• If you aren’t seeing results, you may need more experience

I have officially launched the application for my first retreat in the Spirit School Collective! It will be in the forest of British Columbia and there are 32 spots available. If there are spots left after my membership has the opportunity to apply, I will open it up to the waitlist. I am so excited for the opportunity to meet some Spirit School people in person and to have amazing experiences together!

I am also currently seeking a brick and mortar space for Spirit School for a space to work and to also make my dream of having an ethically sourced line of merchandise that I can store and source myself! Spirit School is coming alive and I share these parts of the journey because you have been with me on this journey. Once we step on the development path, we are on a healing path as well, so it’s important to me to share all aspects of the evolution. I feel that I offer an energetic space for people to have their own spiritual experiences, and I strongly believe that Spirit School will be a physical school by spring next year!

• When one area of life is going well, another is struggling
• Where we need development in mediumship often reflects our personal life
• The development path and our human and healing journey are parallel

• Sometimes imbalances bring our attention to another neglected area
• It’s okay if you feel more pulled to your human than spirituality in this season
• In October, we will be pulled to see where we need to focus in the winter
• Release judgment because it’s harmful to think everything must be smooth
• Alignment has never been an indicator of spiritual evolution
• Shifting our interests allows us to be more whole as humans and practitioners
• We may go through the whole wheel every year
• I want us to stop seeing ourselves in a deficit
• Inner narratives will come up to bring epiphanies
• The busyness of the mind may be seen as a superpower rather than a detriment
• A clear and quiet mind is not accessible to everyone
• The people whose teachings we are following did not have social media and smartphones
• We are meant to evolve into the next iteration of spiritual beings
• There will be new teachers and philosophies, so we need to make space
• We are in a time of free will and change in our societies and structures
• What are you going to release to bring in new energy?
• We can clearly see the mistakes of past generations and decide what’s next
• Being able to choose for ourselves is wealth, and a privilege
• Think about your choices as contributing to collective wealth
• Choose what benefits the greater good, even at the discomfort of us now
• It’s time to shift out of individualism out to family, community, to globally
• We can stop carrying the past like a badge of honour, starting with our thoughts
• The only way to the new life we desire is making the decision to change
• Stop buying into societal norms that make you feel you are in a deficit
• Go back to traditional teachings that we are always whole and evolving
• There’s no going back now and the steps only go up from here
• Meditate with the word sovereignty to get your own understanding of it
• It’s a time of great knowing and we have been taught not to trust ourselves
• We used to trust ourselves and support our communities
• Knowing is the purest form of communication with the divine
• In spirit communication, it all comes through knowing and filters through the clairs
• We have been slowly taught through generations to not trust ourselves
• Now we are at the bottom and are building a new foundation on the way up
• I always appreciate hearing how these messages align with other people’s forecasts

I have been wanting to share one of my personal healers, Lynn Tucknies of Inner Hero Healing, with you for a long time. I was referred to Lynn through a friend and had sessions for 10 months. I will be resuming weekly sessions and having Lynn work with my son again too! We were waiting until she went full-time into her healing career to do this interview, and the time has come! Since teaching a class on the Emotion Code in the Spirit School Collective, many of my students have had amazing experiences working with Lynn. In this episode:

• TW: Sexual assault, traumatic birth experiences shared in episode

• Dr. Nelson tracked the emotions of patients and where the pain was on the body
• Emotions can get trapped and cause emotional and physical discomfort in the body
• In the Emotion Code, these are found through muscle testing and cleared
• The Body Code takes into account other facets such as the emotional and spirit body
• We all have trapped emotions that we are not consciously aware of
• Lynn knew there was something deeper when she was doing personal development work
• She was intrigued when a friend introduced her to the Emotion Code
• Trapped emotions can be inherited from past generations
• The evidence is given by determining the age each emotion was trapped
• Sessions helped me clear patterns around stage fright and fear of judgement
• The change is subtle and the impact can be seen in hindsight
• Lynn says it creates your new normal and your prior existence becomes obsolete
• The subconscious mind protects you, and this is where emotions are trapped
• Nothing's going to come up that is not ready to be released
• After it is cleared, you can look back at an event without the negative emotions
• Lynn stays joyful knowing the impact on the other side of the pain
• Just by having people talk, Lynn can gather information to direct the session
• Lynn has healthy boundaries knowing it’s not her energy
• Firing my coach led to a feeling of not wanting to be seen that needed to be cleared
• Lynn explains that a curse can be as simple as that person thinking something negative
• Sessions with Lynn are an act of self care and energetic boundaries for me
• She describes entities as negative energies that lower our vibration
• Lynn uses her intuition and is moving toward her own intuitive modality or session
• She blocked her intuition when she was young because of a frightening experience
• This work has helped her become comfortable with her gifts
• Her practice began to grow and she became more uncomfortable in her day job
• After setting a goal for leaving, Lynn was offered an early retirement package
• Corporate jobs give the illusion of safety but you create your own job
• The Belief Code is coming and Lynn focuses a lot on mindset coaching 
• There are a lot of people holding onto worthless and unworthy
• Lynn believes the modality can work on those who are neurodivergent
• She has also seen dramatic results with kids, including my son
• Being open-minded is what makes a good candidate for the Emotion Code

There are lots of exciting things happening in Spirit School in September! The Initiation, my 8 Week Mediumship Foundations Experience, starts on the 14th. To support the different ways adults learn, The Initiation includes self study, live classes, a community, and practice sessions! 

In the Spirit School Collective, we will be focusing on grief. Penny, one of my students, will be talking about end-of-life doula work and sharing about her practice. Alyssa Pressman, a certified grief counselor, will talk about holding space for grief. There will be time to explore case studies in this session as I feel it is important to understand how to implement this if we are working with the public in this vulnerable work.I will also be starting our new schedule with my Friday classes which will begin with a guided visualization, followed by practice exercises or Q&A sessions. These will offer a variety of experiences and I am excited for the new format!   

As always, our free Spirit School community is open and active, offering a space for you to connect with like-minded people in a supportive environment. I look forward to connecting with you!    .

In this episode:

• My intention is for  the world of spirit bring through messages for those who are drawn to listen
• The first insight is gaining clarity in September on how we spend our days
• We were blessed after the past few years to be busy following the next passion this summer
• September will be a time to slow down and find clarity on how to finish the year
• Clarity is not always easy and may include experiencing what we don’t like
• Through some turmoil, we may find we have been settling in some areas of life
• It’s more about clarity on what we desire than making future plans
• You may even feel the desire to move if where you are doesn’t resonate
• The Third Eye card echoes getting clarity on changes for the rest of the year
• Tune into how you feel and familiar patterns that you desire to change
• What were the circumstances the last time you felt how you desire to feel now?
• Lack of clarity may actually be clarity in itself
• The world and spirit are talking to you in every interaction, no matter how mundane
• For spiritual evolution, it is the uncomfortable situations that bring the most growth
• Reframe these as experiences gifted to us to find clarity
• September can be a new year when kids go back to school and new routines are created
• You can get clear on what brings you joy if you pay attention to the mundane
• Awareness is the second word for September
• Spirit is not asking us to take action, but to take stock of our desires
• There won’t be time to find clarity during the last 3 months of 2022
• We need to release the things we feel chained to out of devotion, especially work
• We are uncovering a deeper, holistic sense of identity outside of how we make money
• Some of this clarity will be around how we identify ourselves in the world
• There is an imbalance of overgiving in our lives
• Find clarity on what receiving is for you, whether that is quiet time or social time
• Social time may seem more taxing, but gathering in equal exchange is fulfilling
• Being forced online for so long has made us lose the depth of humanity in people
• The way people present themselves is not always their truest sense
• The world could use a lot more compassion, which comes from deep connection
• We need to release the story that connecting creates a deficit for us
• Fitting in is an illusion since we are each so vastly different
• Look for places you feel expanded and like yourself
• Document the clarity and joy you receive with pen and paper for when you forget
• We think experiences are not worth documenting if they aren’t for social media
• We used to fill journal pages with our stories before technology
• Even the mundane can be read with fondness later
• It's time to start living our lives for ourselves once more
• We can be powerful in many different areas of our lives
• When we get clear on our identity, deep harmonious friendships come in 
• Connecting to people may be more of a driving force than abundance
• If you feel uncomfortable with the slowness of September, look at that

In this episode, we talk about embracing your authentic self, and different forms of expression. Christian is an artist and writer in addition to being an intuitive. Tactile art mediums like textiles, photography and sculpture have influenced their work. Memes are a way of incorporating poetry and art to remix existing content.

In this episode:

• Grief is a form of longing for something, whether it’s a person or a potential future
• Even with end-of-life doula training couldn’t prepare Danielle for experiencing grief
• Fear, shame and grief are the source of most negative emotions
• Having language that resonates for emotions and experiences is validating
• Christian shares that the term non-binary fit and being trans is part of that identity
• We are emotive beings, yet we learn to suppress instead of explore our emotions
• The vocabulary comes from curiosity, and we gain access to expression.
• Danielle says it’s her responsibility as a lightworker to educate herself on the spectrum of emotions
• Vibes, and positive vibes only, cannot be weaponized against negativity
• We have a complex language system as humans and should use it
• Communication is key to relationships, so just vibing doesn’t work
• Sometimes we need to feel it before we get the language for it
• Words are vital but if they're disconnected from emotion, they're just thoughts
• As intuitives, sometimes the trickiest part of connecting is expressing through emotion and thought
• Emotional intelligence was not talked about, so there are layers of deconditioning to go through
• Christian began writing, and found a balance of intuition and intellect in their thirties
• Their art showed a struggle with communicating who they were and what they wanted
• Christian had trauma from being called too much and not having a filter
• As a teen, they found essential oils and metaphysical modalities through a family friend
• They moved away from Christianity when those values clashed with holding a non-binary identity
• Christian is self taught in art and it was something to do quietly alone and to stay present
• Christian was drawn to fashion trends a couple years before they were trends
• As an earth sign, being able to touch things is important to their art practice
• A science degree and psychology classes also influence the action steps for clients in sessions
• You have to look at all the pieces of yourself and explore them
• The intuitive sessions are an opportunity to see what humans are struggling with
• People want to see the process, so “show your work”
• Even Buddha and Christ went through struggles in their humanity
• Danielle and Christian also want to change the bypassing of humanity within spiritual spaces
• Children aren’t born with fear, so they rely on parents for perspective and a safe environment
• Violence is part of the human experience, and we want to survive
• Shadow is about being integrated and loving the whole
• We all have impulses and physical needs, but sex is not as acceptable
• You can choose monogamy and the intimacy that that offers
• Christian believes in living on purpose in your choices
• Danielle says that people may not see this depth in the memes on Christian’s account
• Christian is good at remixing pieces together and chose to have a meme account 
• When you find your voice, people recognize and resonate with your work
• Memes can walk the line between the sacred and the profane
• A lot of spiritual labour goes into creating original content
• Christian refers to the high tide raising all boats and supporting one another
• If you're stealing just for stealing and you're not making your own, that's an issue
• Scottish culture was stolen by Britain during the Highland Clearances in the 1800s
• A trend like that would last 30 years at that time compared to memes today
• There is violence behind stealing from others without acknowledgement
• Christian is willing to be self-reflective and have conversations about appropriation
• Danielle says that accountability is the change we are striving for
• Christian is okay with triggering people if others feel unsafe, but not without reason
• Danielle’s favourite meme is “I became my full, authentic self when I realized I was cringe.”
• Christian has trauma from being silly and being called names when people were uncomfortable
• The process of making great art is messy
• Early abstract painters weren’t understood in their time and started with copying the masters
• We start out in life with what is right, then we deconstruct and it gets messy
• Danielle really feels that Christian embodies their term “spirit guide in a meat suit”
• Christian offers relationship readings and feels that we can make them more conscious
• All life is about duality and experiencing relationships

In this episode:

• I was blessed to have a year on maternity leave when I began my development 
• My husband has not always been supportive because he doesn’t understand this path
• My first teacher didn’t talk about Sitting in the Power and I didn’t develop through Spiritualism
• I would sit with spirit every day for 30 minutes on my bed while my daughter napped
• I have a busy mind, so the dedicated practices that are taught in mediumship didn’t work for me
• I would often ask my guide Skylar to show me signs of his presence
• Sometimes I would ask for things to be validated tomorrow and my accuracy improved over time
• My teacher was clairvoyant, so I was really trying to develop my own clairvoyance
• A friend once validated that a Spirit named Eddie I connected with was her missing uncle
• My relationship with my husband shifted because I started needing more alone time
• I have stopped expecting him to take an interest in personal development
• It was easy to stick to the 30 minutes with spirit because I had such profound experiences
• My mediumship development was limited to 5 hours a month with my teacher
• I wish I had been vulnerable to develop in the public eye like some of my peers
• I expected a stronger connection during my second pregnancy, but was very sick
• I had a near death experience in the ICU and doctors couldn’t agree on the cause
• I didn’t keep my consistent practice, but still attended retreats 
• When I had my son, my life changed and I opened my practice to the public
• The only spiritual practice I remember at that time was talking to my guides
• Showing up on social media started my personal development around being seen
• My development was immersing myself in spiritual content and doing readings
• I had one development Saturday and one day to rent a studio for readings a month
• A solution for the friction in my marriage was giving my husband time for his own hobby
• I went full-time in March 2020 with in-person clients booked and was in lockdown with my kids
• Out of 50 clients, only 2 asked for a refund for their sessions and I started online readings 
• Online influencers talked about consistent routines that were not accessible to me at all
• You will always be healing and evolving, but you are whole as you are right now
• How you choose to dedicate the time you have to development is enough
• The pandemic and working from home has given people more space to fit in development
• I consider everything I do in my business and online presence to be my spiritual development
• I still carve out time to sit and ask how I desire to connect with myself in this moment
• I want to be a teacher that shows you can thrive doing things differently

Tips from Spirit School members:

• Developing after kids go to bed, or nap time
• Blocking time into your calendar or schedule
• Including children in spiritual practices
• If you wake up often in the night, meditate in that brain state
• Ask your partner to give you time in the evening to connect
• Take a few minutes here and there to connect or meditate
• Turning your career into spiritual development
• I'm okay that I can't be consistent, and I know that spirit doesn't judge me

Our experiences and the things we hear formulate our beliefs, but ultimately our beliefs are our choice. I first encountered mediumship by watching Sylvia Brown and John Edwards on TV at the age of 14. I read all of Sylvia Brown’s books in high school and I believed everything she wrote to be the truth without questioning it. There were things I read that scared me, but I wasn’t discerning and I realized through my own development that a lot of it simply wasn’t true.

I am not the holder of the ultimate truth about mediumship either, so I can only share from my lived experience. You may have a physical sensation or knowing when something feels like truth for you. If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know that I say to be flexible in your beliefs because they will likely shift as you experience more on your path.

• • It is hard for people to see the harm that can be caused if they wouldn’t be offended

• Q: You shouldn’t do readings until 6 months after someone passes

• • Spirit’s ability to communicate and the sitter’s grief are reasons given for why
  • That became less true as my confidence grew and I connected with people who recently passed
  • Unclear communication may actually be evidence of their communication in life
  • The quality of a reading is based on the three way link of spirit, the reader and the sitter
  • It will be a struggle if the sitter is skeptical and not an open channel for the link
  • Be open because there are multiple truths that can coexist in harmony at the same time

• Q: A common phrase is that all mediums are psychics, but not all psychics are mediums

• • We tend to believe things blindly until we exposed other philosophies and experiences
  • I don’t believe that our Creator chooses who has abilities and who doesn’t
  • Q: Does everyone have the gift of mediumship? Yes!
  • I believe we are all born with gifts but not everyone develops these abilities
  • The fact that mediumship is even in your awareness is a sign from your soul 
  • I didn’t jump on the path the first few times it was brought to my awareness
  • Skeptical people like my husband could develop but that doesn’t mean they will
  • Q: Can you turn your abilities on and off? 
  • Yes, and there have only been a few times in 9 years that spirit has been pushy
  • I have a lot of boundaries but there are people who are constantly surrounded by spirit
  • There is permission granted, so I question what the motive is other than being showy

• Q: Thoughts on psychic residue versus haunted location

• • Though I was a paranormal investigator, I am undecided on my beliefs about earthbound spirits
  • We validated evidence the medium received, but we didn’t get any paranormal evidence 
  • I’ve been able to feel the energy of a place, like the previous owner of a home who had passed
  • It wasn’t her stuck there because it was an intelligent, two-way conversation
  • Aboriginal Medium Sean Leonard, who I highly regard, has EVP evidence and I trust him

• Q: My dad believes it's just tricks from the devil

• • Ask how you feel about a belief and if it improves your quality of life.
  • We can’t change someone’s beliefs for them

• Q: I don’t anymore, but i always believed that mediums identified as spiritual

• • There is a spectrum of how much of a priority it is and there is a client for everyone

• Q:  You need to study, practice for years to actually connect with spirit, unless born with it

• • I believed that you have to pay your dues
  • The time it took for me to step into the public had nothing to do with my connection to the divine
  • A large part of our development is healing our human and building confidence

• Q: I don't have a loved one I'm trying to connect with so mediumship isn't for me.

• There is always someone we can connect to from our lineage
• Mediumship is evidential by nature, and can be difficult if the sitter can’t validate
• We can bring through what is current in their life, though this could come through psychic too
• The need in mediumship is part of the magic of the three way link (Spirit, sitter, reader)
