”Napoleon famously once said an army marched on its stomach!” But the British Army marched on its sense of humour - quoted by former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the Falklands War 1982.

This podcast series, hosted by two veterans of the British Army who have shared their experiences, aims to help others understand and appreciate the intricacies of military life by talking about different topics. If you or someone you know has served in the British Armed Forces, you probably know their distinct language, sense of humour, and way of life, which is vastly different from “Civvy Street”.” By delving into this unique language, you will gain a deeper understanding of the psychological difficulties of military life and the resourcefulness that characterises British military culture - and you will realise there is still more to discover. The purpose of this podcast series is to help individuals understand the distinct thought patterns of the military, with a focus on veterans who may struggle to express their emotions and experiences.

However, upon further examination, it appears not everything has been kept up to date, as there are some items that are noticeably old and outdated. It is possible that the reason for this equipment's underperformance may be due to its 50 years of service, but the military has not deemed it necessary to upgrade it to better suit its intended tasks. In this particular episode of their podcast, LJ and No "H" have a lively discussion about various items of clothing and equipment that they were issued, but both found useless in their respective experiences.
