Sit With Your Sis is the podcast you turn to when you wish you had a big sister around to talk about the hard things. As the eldest of seven, I can't say I was the best sister growing up, but I am showing up now to offer the guidance I wish I could have given my younger siblings. As a first generation Mexican American, being the eldest always carried a little bit more weight than I think I realized. Mistakes were not tolerated, but boy were they made. Every episode I will be sharing real life stories to hopefully provide guidance and advice on what NOT to do in this great adventure we call life. Whether you're a young adult or young at heart, I invite you to take a few minutes and sit with your sis.

Today I talk about how to tackle the common trap of waiting for the “perfect” moment to start a goal. I break down fear, perfectionism, and social media comparison, using fitness, parenting, and time constraints as real-life examples.

I offer practical, simple advice: start small (even 5–15 minutes), schedule consistent time, keep promises to yourself, and grow discipline over motivation.

The encouragement you need to stop waiting and begin now, is here!

I am your Big Sis B, and in episode two of Sit With Your Sis, I normalize losing motivation after the initial excitement of a new idea or goal. It's OK, just because you lose motivation doesn't mean you stopped caring! Don't believe your brain, I explain why anxiety and repetitive thoughts can derail progress.

I shared two actionable steps to regain momentum: audit the information you consume (social media, podcasts, music) and evaluate who you share your time with, since your circle shapes your habits and mindset.

With compassion, practical advice, and a little 'Throne of Glass' motivation, I encourage finding supportive communities and mentors, giving yourself grace, and creating an environment that helps you finish what you started... Because isn't that what we want? To finish what we started?!
