Are distractions making it hard to stay focused during your time with God?
Have you started wondering if you’re “bad” at having a consistent quiet time because you can’t seem to concentrate?

In this episode, I’m sharing 3 simple strategies for dealing with distractions during your morning quiet time so you can stop feeling frustrated and start reconnecting with God in a more peaceful, grace-filled way. As busy moms, our minds are constantly carrying mental to-do lists, worries, and responsibilities, which can make focusing during quiet time feel almost impossible some mornings. But distraction doesn’t have to mean failure.

You’ll learn practical ways to refocus when your mind starts to drift, how to handle distracting thoughts without guilt, and why some distractions may actually be worth paying attention to. This episode is for the mom who wants a deeper relationship with God but feels discouraged by how distracted she gets during her quiet time. My hope is that you’ll walk away feeling encouraged, equipped, and reminded that God isn’t looking for perfection — He simply wants to meet with you.

Have you ever wished you could recognize His voice more clearly in your everyday life?
Or maybe you’ve felt discouraged because your quiet time doesn’t seem “deep enough” to make a difference?

In this episode, I’m sharing what I’ve learned about recognizing God’s voice through consistent time in His presence so you can feel more confident hearing from Him in your everyday life. Inspired by a powerful story from Priscilla Shirer, I’m opening up about my own journey of wanting to hear God more clearly, the seasons where I felt unsure, and how simple, imperfect mornings spent in Bible study and prayer slowly changed things over time.

If you’re a busy mom who wants a deeper relationship with God but feels overwhelmed, inconsistent, or unsure where to start, this episode will encourage you to keep showing up — even when growth feels slow. You’ll be reminded that knowing God’s voice doesn’t usually happen through one big spiritual moment, but through daily relationship, accumulated time with Him, and learning to recognize His character little by little.

Do you feel like your quiet time “doesn’t count” unless you’re spending a full hour in Bible study and prayer?

What if starting smaller is actually the thing that will help you stay consistent?

In this episode, I’m sharing why starting small with your morning routine can actually help you build consistency so you can create a life-giving habit that feels realistic for the season you’re in. We’re talking about why small habits are easier to repeat, how they help remove overwhelm, and why consistent small steps can begin shaping your identity as someone who starts her day with God.

If you’ve been struggling to stick with a morning routine because it feels too big, too complicated, or too unrealistic, this episode will encourage you to simplify your approach and focus on building momentum one small step at a time. My hope is that you’ll walk away feeling less pressure to do everything perfectly and more confidence to simply begin.

My hope is that you’ll walk away feeling less pressure to do everything perfectly and more confidence to simply begin.</itunes:summary>

As I reflected on what worked well in my current journal — and what didn’t — I realized that some of the prayer habits I hoped would stick never quite did (including the completely blank calendars at the front of my journal… oops!). But one simple tool I do want to carry into this next season is something I call my prayer webs.

Today, I’m sharing how these prayer webs have helped me with prayer journaling, why I’m bringing them back into my routine, and how they help me stay intentional in prayer even during busy seasons of motherhood. We’ll also talk about reassessing routines without guilt, simplifying your quiet time, and building prayer habits that actually fit your real life.

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to create the “perfect” quiet time routine, this episode will encourage you to let go of perfection and focus on simple, sustainable rhythms that help you spend time with the Lord consistently.

We’re talking about why your quiet time space doesn’t have to be Pinterest-worthy to be meaningful, how to make what you already have work for your current season, and why consistency matters more than aesthetics when building a Christian morning routine.

So in this episode, I’m sharing a small, practical shift I’ve started making to help me stay consistent without adding more overwhelm. It’s not perfect, it’s not complicated, but it is helping me show up more intentionally in prayer.

I’ll also share a resource I’ve been loving that helps guide my prayers when I don’t have the words—and how I’m using it in a way that actually fits into real life as a busy mom.

This is for the mom who wants a deeper relationship with the Lord, who desires consistency in her morning routine, and who is ready to take a small step toward more intentional morning prayer and praying for her kids—without the pressure to do it perfectly.

Today, I’m sharing a simple but powerful shift I made in my prayer journaling that completely changed the way I approach my morning prayer. For the longest time, I held myself to filling one full page every day—and I didn’t even realize how much that small rule was distracting me from what actually mattered: spending time with God.

Sometimes I had more to say but cut myself short… other days I struggled to fill the page at all. Either way, it left me feeling stuck, frustrated, and focused more on the page than on my prayers.

In this episode, I’m opening up about:

The quiet pressure I didn’t realize I was putting on myself

How this mindset was affecting my time with God

The simple adjustment that brought more freedom and peace into my routine

How you can make your prayer journaling feel more natural and life-giving

If you’re a busy mom who desires a consistent morning prayer routine but feels overwhelmed, distracted, or unsure where to start—this is your reminder that it doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.

God isn’t looking for your perfect prayers. He’s simply inviting you to come as you are.

If you’ve been struggling to stick with a routine, feeling discouraged when things don’t go as planned, or wondering if it’s even possible in this season of motherhood—you are not alone.

This episode will gently remind you that your time with God doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful, and that even in the chaos, there is still space to connect with Him.

If you’re tired of the stop-and-start cycle and ready to create a morning routine that actually sticks, this episode will give you a fresh perspective to help you move forward—with more ease and a lot less frustration.

I’m sharing when to use a Bible dictionary, how to use it (it’s easier than you think!), and why it can help you better understand the people, places, and cultural context of Scripture. You’ve probably had those moments where you felt motivated, made a plan, and told yourself this time will be different… only to find yourself falling back into old patterns a few days later.

If that sounds familiar, you are not alone—and more importantly, you’re not failing.

This episode is a gentle, honest conversation about what might really be getting in the way of your morning routine consistency. Instead of piling on more pressure or unrealistic expectations, we’re taking a step back to look at what’s happening beneath the surface—and how small shifts can make a big difference.

You’ll walk away feeling encouraged, understood, and equipped with a fresh perspective on how to build a morning routine that actually fits your life—one that feels simple, doable, and even enjoyable.

If you’ve been trying to stay consistent and keep starting over, this episode will remind you that change is still possible—and it doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Your consistency isn’t out of reach… it just might need a new approach.

If you’re trying to build consistent spiritual habits for moms but feel unsure of what to write or say when you sit down each morning, this conversation will meet you right where you are.
