Every person is born with a hunger for love.

We chase it in relationships… careers… even in approval from strangers online. But deep inside, there’s a craving that nothing in this world can fill.

Why? Because we were made by Love and for Love. As 1 John 4:16 declares, “God is love.”

And if God is love, then everything else is just a shadow of what we truly need. To know Him… is to finally know real love.

Have you ever worked so hard… only to come up empty? Have you tried everything—every method, every effort, every connection—but the results are still zero?

Peter and the disciples knew that feeling. They fished all night and caught nothing.

Jesus said, “Cast your nets into the deep” — and everything shifted. Today, He is saying the same to you:

“If you’ll trust Me, I will turn your emptiness into purpose. Your failure into a calling. Your ordinary work into Kingdom impact.”

Self-control is not just a good habit — it’s fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). For those who follow Jesus Christ, cultivating self-control is not optional; it is the mark of being under the Lordship of Christ rather than being ruled by our emotions, habits, or fleshly desires.

In a world that often rewards impatience and discouragement, God’s Word calls us to perseverance, reminding us that the work we do for His Kingdom is never in vain. But, what does it mean to persevere? And how can we endure in a life that often feels overwhelming? We live in a world that offers many counterfeit promises—wealth, fame, relationships, achievements. People are constantly chasing happiness in things that never satisfy. But Psalm 16:2 makes a bold declaration: “I have no good apart from You.” David understood something that our world desperately needs to rediscover—God alone is the source of all that is truly good. Every attempt to find joy, peace, or meaning outside of Him will only end in sorrow.

Jesus didn’t speak this truth in isolation—it was in response to the Pharisees accusing Him of casting out demons by the power of Beelzebul (Matthew 12:22–32).
