While we admire Jeff's passion for the Scriptures, we also respectfully disagree with his view on how the Sabbath, and how the Feast Days should be observed. The conversation around Israel and the Torah is more than just historical it’s deeply relevant to our spiritual walk today.

A quote from Jeff Schwarzentraub "That's the universe. "And he rested on the seventh day." Why did God rest? He wasn't tired, He wasn't stressed, He wasn't exhausted, He wasn't worn out. He was providing an example to all of us for how to live our lives. And to this day, if you go to Israel, from Friday night at sundown until Saturday night at sundown, it's called the Sabbath or Shabbat and nobody works. If you're staying in a hotel, in all likelihood, the elevator won't work. It'll open at every single floor and close at every single floor. And as an American it will drive you absolutely crazy, right? Because they don't want you to have to push the button because pushing the button is considered work. So on the Sabbath, the elevator goes automatically. And this was God's design for Israel. Now why would God say that they need to rest in Him?

Because when you rest, you get replenished. Let me just ask by show of hands, just this week, even if it was for five minutes or less, how many of you experienced just a little bit of anxiety or stress of any kind this week? Okay. That's why God gave us the Sabbath. That's why God gave us the Sabbath. Now for Israel, God had them set aside from Friday night till Saturday night. There are some people today that say, "It doesn't even count as a Sabbath unless you do that." But we know as believers in Christ that that is not the case, because God in the book of Romans, through the apostle Paul, who was inspired by the Spirit tells us this. In Romans chapter 14 in verse five, he's talking about food and he's talking about dates. And when he talks about dates he says this, Romans 14:5, "One person regards one day above another, another regards every day alike. Each person must be fully convinced in his own mind."

What we know to be true is that after Jesus rose from the dead and He rose on a Sunday, the early church began to meet on Sunday. So they didn't keep the Sabbath the way that the Jews met the sabbath. Why? Because Jesus Christ was the fulfillment or the end of the law. So here's what he tells us about Sabbath. He tells us that we're in the Sabbath rest when we're in Christ. So God doesn't specifically tell us that there's one specific day that we must set aside, but the principle of it remains. The principle of it remains. The fact that so many of you raised your hands and talked about stress or anxiety. And the ones who didn't, it was because you were too stressed and anxious to raise your hand, shows that we need time set aside in our life to refresh in the Lord."

Our founding father, Benjamin Franklin said “I am making a Republic if you can keep it!”

Our founding fathers saw the danger of making a Democracy that could lead to a “mob rules” mentality. So they created our Republic.

The US Constitution starts with these famous words. Meaning “Whatever the people want is what they get!”

It’s all about their will. The people know best. 

In the Constitution is their little room for one true God.  There is lot of room for your “little g” gods. 

Worship what every god you want, purse what makes you happy. 

Many people in the US have not learned their own history well enough to understand how we truly begin. 

The United States has a mixed history. Some of the groups that came here were truly for religious reasons. Such as the Pilgrims. These groups were mixed in with the other groups here to make money. It is a mixed bag of religious refuge's mixed with people trying to worship God with freedom. The United States Written law gave into the desires of the flesh. Letting the people do whatever makes them happy.  Making ourselves “little g” gods as well.

What does the bible say about this?

9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

The real law that we should be concerned by.

1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The Bible tells us to:

Follow Yahuah laws! His ways are not our ways. 

Not following His way is rebellion. We have been doing what we want, what makes us happy and what makes us feel good since our inception.

From a young age, Karyn has been involved in and fascinated by the preparation of food. She grew up in a fundamentalist non-denominational Christian assembly, in which she heard a lot of scripture read...and misapplied. In both cases, what was taught lacked the substantial nature of integrity that she was made to long for. Learning to cook involved a number of commercially prepared food products, and the Christian teaching offered a packaged lifestyle that satisfied just about as little. As an adult, released from this particular sect, she tested out doctrines of other forms, both for church and for food. At the age of 30, The Word introduced Himself. As her Nourisher, Teacher, Deliverer, Protector. As He detangled religion from truth, she received a full, integral faith, not limited to parts of her being. Through the discipline of learning to perceive The Word in everyday experiences, she realized that He was more than a book--He was The Bread and Living Word that carried the integrity worth trusting, and the wholeness that she'd been pursuing through physics health and fitness...yet missing.   

Karyn is a wife (of 14 years) to Drew, and mother of 5. They have received from Abba an 1880 farmhouse (which they are slowly restoring) in Richmond, VA, on 5 agricultural acres—in the middle of a small-lot residential subdivision! Their desire to pursue integrity by The Word together has been tried and blessed, on repeat. Their desire is to work hard, live simply, and render hospitality and all Good Things Abba places into their hands—willingly, at all times.  Karyn's pregnancy and childbirth experiences have deepened her faith in YHVH as her One Care Provider, Protector and Deliverer. She longs for all mothers to experience the shalom of receiving this personal and perfect care that can only be enjoyed by a true and integral faith, and that The Bride of Yeshua would receive her inheritance of integral well-being by remaining under a single Authority. Delivered and forgiven of idolatry, she enjoys receiving strength through fitness, and learning better ways to cultivate and prepare Good Things for her family.
