Rice, Beans, and Scenes is a weekly, light-hearted movie podcast hosted by Andrew (“Beans”) and Sarah (“Rice”), a married duo whose movie habits are as different as their nicknames.

Andrew (Beans) is a true cinephile with encyclopedic knowledge of film across every genre. He can speak in movie lines and pop-culture references for an entire day without repeating himself.

Sarah (Rice) loves movies just as much, but with the memory of a goldfish—she’ll forget character names, plot points, and sometimes whether she’s even seen a film before. Her reactions are genuine, funny, and often completely unpredictable.

While they both adore movies, their tastes don't always align—which is the fun of it.
Each week, they trade picks: one week Sarah chooses the movie and they dive into it together; the next week Andrew takes his turn.

The result is a playful blend of silly jokes, heartfelt commentary, pop-culture tangents, character deep dives, and the unmistakable chemistry of two people who love each other—and movies—even when they disagree.

We dive into the chaos, the wigs, the accents, and that unforgettable kitchen scene—because yes, it still hits. And at the center of it all is Robin Williams, delivering one of his most iconic performances: hilarious, heartbreaking, and impossibly human.

We talk about Williams’ unmatched ability to swing from comedy to vulnerability in a single breath, why Mrs. Doubtfire endures across generations, and how this movie quietly taught us that love doesn’t always look the way we expect—but it always shows itself.

For the very first recording of Rice, Beans, and Scenes, Andrew and Sarah kick things off with a wild one: their experience watching Jaws in 4DX—yes, the full moving seats, water sprays, ocean breezes, and sudden jolts that make you question your life choices. Andrew (“Beans”) brings his cinephile expertise, breaking down why Jaws is a masterclass in suspense, while Sarah (“Rice”) tries to remember which characters were which and whether the shark had it out for her personally.

Recorded spontaneously in their car right after the showing—with zero professional equipment—this episode is unfiltered, raw, and full of genuine laughter, chaotic commentary, and pure love for movies. It’s the perfect introduction to the fun, candid energy that defines Rice, Beans, and Scenes.
