      5. Cleared Hot - Go back to the super nintendo days but updated graphics with this isometric helicopter game
      6. Path into the Abyss - Looks like STALKER but it’s set in Buenos Aires.
      7. Beacon of Neyda - side scroller strategy like the retro look.
      8. Generation Exile - city builder but instead of unlimited resources you are on a generation spaceship where you have to work with what you have

Soul Mask - Released into EA on May 31.  Survival game Conan like with tribes-people vs Thralls.  Set against Aztec-like lore and mythos.  You don a mask with powers which serves as how you level and your abilities.  You can swap to a new mask you can put your mask on others of your tribe who might specialize in other skills.  Very versatile.  Drawback is a dedicated server is always going so  your tribe can burn through your food supplies if you don’t check in on them :( Hoping there is a setting like in 7 days where we can pause it when no one is logged in.

That's right folks! The moment you all know that I've been planning, hoping, waiting for since we started this podcast over four years ago! For any who many not know (though nearly all of you will) Richard is the creator of the Ultima series of video games. His company, Origin (and he as well) created the world's first officially titled MMORPG (Richard actually coined the phrase!) Ultima Online!

We take a ride through Richard's history in the Game industry, do a bit of a deep dive on UO as well. We also talked about many of Richard's incredible adventures as an Explorer and Astronaut. We talk about the recently discovered Endurance Shipwreck, and Shackleton being one of Richard's heroes.

They were definitely my favorite show in my podcast listening pile, and I really looked forward to the show each week. I also had the fun chance of being one of their regular voicemail callers! That's actually how I hooked up with the amazing regular caller Fred French, who calls into their (and our) show often. We not only carve out an appropriate chunk of the show to thank them (CapnMikeM, Glovebox, Hoody Ninja and DeviousMrMatt) for the years of friendship, technical help, shout outs, and really just being some of our favorite people on the internet. In our usual funny cuts in our show opener, I had to do my part to immortalize the "Stacking Paper" episode as I told the story (probably again) to Nick. Thanks fellas, will miss hearing your show, and look forward to anything y'all do next!

- Century: Age of Ashes - Nick got into the beta and talks about the first game that FINALLY got dragon combat (much less multiplayer dragon combat) done RIGHT.

- Curse of the Dead Gods and Loop Hero - Al's gems of the week. Really enjoying both of these, and they're a steal at their current price!

- We also talk Game Pass, and how it's easily the best thing in games right now if you love to try new games thanks to Microsoft acquiring Bethesda, and providing EA Play. More games than you know what to do with and a steal at the monthly price (psst, go Ultimate, because PC Game Pass is pretty damn sweet too!)

Julia gives us an awesome look into her creative process, the history and locale behind The Crimson Diamond, The Adventure Game creating community, and what it's like developing a game on her own. Some Highlights:

Predator: Hunting Grounds - Illfonic will be releasing a fantastic 4v1vNPCs shooter based on the original Predator film. Nick and Al got to play and chat with the developers. This is a sleeper hit.

Kyle talks about buying Haunted '86 (a newly made NES game, came in original style box and everything!)

This two hour episode has it all, including Al's take on his first time ever attending PAX 2020.

What's up everyone! In our first of soon-to-be-many special episodes, I take some time out from our usual podcast to sit down with some of the awesome minds that bring us the games we grew up playing or the games released today that have been inspired by them.
