Devon Blanchard is an aspiring filmmaker who is releasing his second project in July of 2020, Emily's Revenge. Devon's first project, Emily's Bridge, was centered on a haunted bridge in Vermont and his upcoming release follows the tale, presumably where he left off previously.

Devon has a passion for filmmaking and for community involvement as well. Most recently he committed his efforts to decorating the Lebanon, NH downtown mall with holiday lights and worked to unite community members in the undertaking. He has plans for a larger display in late 2020, and undoubtedly more grandiose plans for the future.

Non of his activities are undertaken for school advancement alone - Devon is living out loud in a time when many are retreating into smaller and smaller bubbles, COVID19 aside. I sat down with Devon to try to learn a little more about what makes him tick.

You can find his projects on Youtube at DB Productions, and on Facebook at Blanchard Films.

Gov. John Hickenlooper spoke with me about his experience running for office, his time as an executive and his position on how to treat people with common decency even when they wish to drag conversations into the gutter. We talked about prison reform and he confirmed his position on decriminalization versus legalization on the national level. He committed to delisting cannabis as a schedule one drug and confirmed that he would respect states rights on the issue and not force individual states to legalize. We talked about gun safety and how to reach a consensus on reasonable measures to ensure that criminals cannot walk into a gun show or private sale and buy a gun while ensuring that no steps are taken to concern legal gun owners with the rhetoric that "they're coming for your guns". John Hickenlooper has a track record that you can research easily because of his time as the Mayor of Denver and as the Governor of Colorado. Like it or hate it, there's no hiding from it. He has bridged political divides, balanced budgets, reformed government and reduced regulations. He has committed his State to the Paris Accords, formed a multi-state coalition to promote electric car use, built public transportation and revitalized communities. His reforms of Colorado's gun laws found popular support although not across all fronts, but his personal experiences with gun violence when his own Chief of Colorado's Prisons was gunned down and as Governor during the Aurora shootings cemented his resolve to act. I encourage you to listen to Governor Hickenlooper talk about his experiences in his own words, do your research and weigh his candidacy for President.

<itunes:summary>Gov. I encourage you to listen to Governor Hickenlooper talk about his experiences in his own words, do your research and weigh his candidacy for President.</itunes:summary>

Last fall Ben left his career, sold his house and moved to Nashville at the age of 32 to pursue his dream of making a name for himself in country music. It hasn't always been easy, but the good times aren't killing him and even though making rent has been hard, he's making it. Today Ben talks about his journey, his next steps, and his mission to help people deal with addiction. Ben has a story to tell, usually through song but here you can experience his unscripted words. But make sure you stick around for the ending when Ben shares his latest song, Light The Way.

Today I sat down with Dr. Thomas Balistrieri. Tom is a Professor of Psychology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and he has had a career built around counseling and mentoring people of all ages. Tom is one of the most insightful people that I know, and his experience in coaching human beings through difficult times is unique and invaluable. While Tom doesn't spend a lot of time promoting himself, he is frequently sought out by his peers, professional organizations and individuals seeking his help, guidance, historical perspectives and for public speaking events. You can find him on Facebook or by emailing him at thomas@ragspassage.com . Tom began his career as a therapist and over the years he has been a Director of Counseling at universities, a business consultant for a major corporation, a Dean of Students, a NCAA Division One Coach, and even a lobsterman on the Atlantic. Tom spent many months over several years learning the traditions of the Lakota Nation from Elders who found something unique in Tom. On this podcast he shares with us a little of what he has learned in the hopes that we might make our own lives better. I hope you enjoy.
