Lucy was adopted as a baby, and when she turned 18 she decided to find out. In Born Between the Lines, a five-part series made by two students in Queen Ethelburga's studio in York, she tells her own adoption story. She also sits down with other adopted people, parents and the professionals who bring families together, to talk honestly about identity, belonging and the comments nobody should have to hear. Each episode ends with a letter to her birth parents, and by the finale that letter has been answered.
