Introduction

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His love, foundation, purpose, promise, and peace never change.

Abide in Jesus and Avoid Idols (vv. 20–21) - Know Him who is true • Knowledge of Jesus is experiential (ginosko). - Jesus is the true God and eternal life • Fully God and fully man—the source of real life. - Keep yourselves from idols • Idols can be obvious (statues) or subtle (career, money, self, relationships). • Idolatry always chokes fellowship with God.
