Chief Meteorologist Jenna Petracci visited the Caribbean islands of Saint Croix, Sint Maarten, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas earlier this month. Based on what she saw, you would never know that some of these places were devastated by category 5 hurricanes Irma and Maria back in 2017. Despite the beauty, the recovery is still ongoing, and the residents still vividly remember what they endured. Jenna shares photos from her vacation, followed by photos of the damage nearly 10 years ago. Jenna and Avery also show the track and radar imagery of the hurricanes and tell stories from where they personally were back during that memorable season.
