Episode 60 - Truth revolution

We talked about the imprisonment of Tommy Robinson on a contempt of court charge over the showing of his film ‘Silenced’ (link below), and the recent revelations about the man charged with killing three children in Southport. We considered the new ‘pride poppy’ released by the Royal British Legion, and reviewed the Archbishop of Canterbury’s recent interview with Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart. We finished with reading John 8:12, a reminder that Jesus is the light of the world and if we follow him we will have the light of life.

We begin with a brief review of the recent ‘Rescue the Republic’ rally held in Washington DC, drawing together speakers from the ‘freedom movement’ including Jordan Peterson, Robert Kennedy Jr, Russell Brand and ‘dissident doctors’ Robert Malone & Pierre Kory. We go on to discuss the increasing number of organisations trying to indoctrinate children, primarily in schools and colleges, including through the government’s PREVENT strategy. We finish by reading Ephesians 6:12 as a reminder that we face dark and spiritual forces of evil in the world, but we read on to see that God will provide us with everything we need for the battle.

Episode 33 - Affirm my pronouns

This is a sensitive but important subject, and we look at the realities of abortion, the Biblical theology of the unborn, why the church needs to talk about abortion, and the ethics around the use of cell lines from aborted babies (including in the development of the COVID vaccines). We end with a reminder of the hope which the gospel of Christ offers, a gospel which is big enough to speak into the pain of abortion, and the reality of God’s grace.
