We've finally made it to July, and as usual that means the gaming news slows down. Fortunately we scrapped the deepest pits of the internet and were able to find some PlayStation news to discuss. Firstly Cory Barlog and the rest of the crew at Sony Santa Monica, kindly ask for everyone to reframe from sending any more dick pics! A new picture emerges online of the PSVR2, and it looks simplistic, in a good way. We also learn that Sega intends to make live action shows and or movies of Atlus games, including Persona.  Lots of fun stuff to dissect, so lets just get into it!

Good News! Hideo Kojima's next game has seemingly leaked and it appears to be a return to the horror genre. That's not our only reveal, Naughty Dog has also finally released a trailer for The Last of Us Part I, a remake of the not to old prequel to the Last of Us Part II.  Capcom announced its own showcase, which is geared to stream right as this podcast goes live on Monday. Sony Bend has a new logo, and although it doesn't excite us, maybe their next title they briefly discuss will.  Looks like we got another packed show this week ,so lets just get into it!

Finally a slower week for gaming news. This slight pause in news articles, means we can take our time and discuss Sony's latest and possibly greatest State of Play ever. Capcom and Square Enix came through for Sony to make sure June's State of Play would be one to remember.  Of course that's not the only thing that happened this week. We also learned PSVR2 might be launching early next year, Prince of Persia will be delayed again, and the Insomniac Spider-Man franchise has sold a combined 33 million units. All that and a lot more, so lets just get into it!

Recently leaked images are floating around the net and the leaker claims they are from the rumored Silent Hill reboot, can't be sure if they are real, but they are a little convincing to say the least. Square Enix has sold off three of its major studios, in an effort to try to stop more financial losses. Will it be enough to save the company though? As usual we have some thoughts about that. Sony makes more serious investments towards their future with live service games. Prince of Persia is being moved to another studio, and we don't expect to see it for quite some time. Lastly Hanger 13 parts ways with studio head, but announces a new Mafia game at the same time. We've got another packed show this week ,so lets just get into it!

Ubisoft might have wasted to many resources on NFT's and failed multiplayer games, and are now possibly looking to Sell. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order won't be releasing this year, and might be dropping the fallen order name. Sony had a great night at the BAFTA's This year, with Returnal and Rachet and Clank doing very well for themselves. A blast for the past this week with the new announcements that we will see a new Max Payne and Tomb Raider game are in the works. Then we have Ubisoft, and it wouldn't be a week without Ubisoft announcing yet another game, but this time it comes at the cost of another game. Well it happened, Sony finally discussed its long rumored, and long awaited three tiered subscription service. Sadly though the news came in like a faint breeze, and managed to not generate any hype around the reveal. Somehow though We manage to find things to be excited about and find ourselves eagerly awaiting the full detailed reveal. On other news we hear more about everyone's favorite game to knock, Abandoned. Apparently the team and Blue Box Games is now deleting old Twitter posts, that discussed game information. Sadly the ESA has decided to cancel the E3 convention this year, not only the physical shows, but also the digital. So much to discuss this week, so lets just get into it!

Rumored subscription service "Spartacus" might finally be unveiled this week, and according to one site at least, we might finally get one highly requested feature included in the highest paid tier. GTA wants you to pay monthly for their online mode. PS5 owners now have access to the latest software update, and it seems to have some nice changes, but even better features are coming soon according to Sony. Sadly after a recent patch it would seem that Gran Turismo 7 just made microtransactions more appealing. Supermassive Games shows off their newest IP with a fancy brand new reveal trailer. Konami is making many small moves in the back round and one of the most recent moves seems to be renewing their trademark for Silent Hill, what could it mean? Also PlayStation had another state of play, but this time the spotlight was for one game. That game being non other than the highly anticipated Hogwarts Legacy game from WB games. Chris and I had thoughts as usual, but you can hear more about that on this weeks episode.

Last Wednesday Sony streamed a new State of Play, and as usual we have thoughts. Bungie is hiring for a new project, and they might finally be branching out of the FPS genre. We ask the question, if the new Duel sense controllers are more than just a simple color change. God of War is without a doubt a popular franchise currently, so i guess its's not to surprising to hear this past week that Sony intends to turn it into a T.V. show, possibly in cooperation with Amazon. Does $40 sound like a good price to buy a virtual car to you? Probably not, but unfortunately that's how much it could cost you to be able to drive your dream car in Gran Turismo 7. Battlefield 2042 now has less active players than Battlefield 4, which released back on the PS3 nine years prior. Grand Theft Auto 5 will not give previous adopters a free upgrade to their long awaited PS5 version, but worry not, it sounds like Capcom wont make the same mistake. Capcom will drop new PS5 versions of Resident Evil 2 remake, 3 remake,  and Resident Evil 7, all of these allowing for previous owners to receive a free upgrade as well.  Plenty of news to get to, so lets just get into it!

Looks Like EA Isn't looking to take the heat for the poor reception of Battlefield 2042, and instead blames the recently released Halo Infinite for stealing their thunder. Ubisoft wants to stand strong on its own, and stay independent. Capcom has us guessing as what they will reveal next, after a countdown timer appeared online. Dragon Age 4 is reportedly on schedule to release in mid to late 2023, but I wouldn't hold my breath. All that and much more in this weeks episode, so lets just get into it!

Microsoft proclaims previously existing Activision/Blizzard titles will remain on Sony Consoles, and they might even find their way onto The Nintendo Switch in the near future. Sifu gets some new difficulty options, which will most likely be a welcomed addition. Sony is making Martha Is Dead developer to censor their game for the PlayStation console, though no other platform is making this request. This weeks episode is very special for us, as we finally reach our episode 100 milestone. with this small achievement (or bronze trophy) we are excited to release our brand new podcast cover logo, and a brand new intro. That's not all of course, because the arms race is just beginning in the acquisition war, which means only one thing, Sony has announced it will pay $3.6 billion for Bungie in a surprising move, that seems to benefit few more than Bungie Itself. Rockstar reveals that development on GTA6 is "well underway". Grand Turismo 7 got its very own state of play, and it looks like racing sim fans will get everything they could hope for in this latest entry into the long running franchise. Also Ghost Wire Tokyo got its very first gameplay reveal, and Steve is still convinced the game was once a VR game. Looks like we got another packed show this week ,so lets just get into it!

Ubisoft thinks people simply don't understand NFT's, and that we simply need to be educated by their poor implementation of them. Activision tells us to expect Call of Duty games to release on Sony platforms till at least the end of 2023. So as you've probably already heard the news, Microsoft has decided to pay their way to success and purchased Activision-Blizzard for the large sum of 68.7 Billion dollars. Due to the news of this magnitude, our recording is well over the norm, but we hope you will enjoy this weeks episode non the less. Another Monday has come and with it we have some more news, more specifically more PSVR 2 news.  PlayStation has released a new video showcasing the new VR unit and the amazing specs it will have at launch later this year. With our VR news, we also learned about a new AAA Horizon VR game that will be built from the ground up for the new PSVR2. We learned more about the Bully sequel that was rumored to be in production, and sadly is sounds like its no longer happening. This week we discuss the many news drops on the PS5's performance so far this year, and it looks like the new soy console has finally taking the lead for console sales last month. Impressive considering the stock shortages for the PS5 that are still plaguing consumers this year. Activision takes another step towards ending any nostalgia I had left from my childhood. Resident Evil Village reaches a sales milestone faster than almost all other games in the series. Call of Duty Vanguard will have a smaller files size, but its still not good enough in our opinion. And lastly we hear rumors that Sony might be reviving two cold franchises. We have our selves a packed episode this week, so lets just get into it!

Dead Space might be coming back from the grave, in a new reimagined game. Forspoken aims to be the best looking open world game released to date. Most exciting of all though, we might be getting more Ghost of Tsushima, in the form of a new stand alone expansion. That is if the rumors can be trusted, who knows, I say we just get into it!

Bethesda released a brief apology to PlayStation fans for the announcement that Starfield would be an Xbox console exclusive. The most exciting news of all though, seems to be the new conspiracy theories surrounding the PS5 exclusive horror survival game Abandoned, is it a secret Kojima game? Only time will tell. Anyway lets just get into it!
