Theresa T.H. Nguyen, MD, MS, FAAP

Dr. Theresa Nguyen has devoted more than 25 years to the care and well-being of pediatric patients and families at GBMC, where she serves as the first female Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. A pioneering clinician, educator, and advocate, she is known for her visionary leadership, holistic approach to care, and steadfast dedication to children’s health and physician wellness.

Dr. Nguyen earned her degree in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University, followed by her medical degree and master’s in health policy from New York University. She completed her pediatric residency and a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, then pursued a two-year fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, grounding her practice in the principles of mind-body-spirit well-being.

At GBMC, Dr. Nguyen has served as Assistant Chair of Pediatrics, lead provider of the GBMC Pediatric Group, and Site Director for the Johns Hopkins Pediatric Core Clerkship. She is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins and an active leader in the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) at both state and national levels.

Under her leadership, the Department of Pediatrics has expanded its clinical reach and strengthened community partnerships. She restructured GBMC’s Child Maltreatment Program with the Baltimore County Child Advocacy Center, improving provider and community education. She also guided collaboration across the Pediatric ED and Inpatient Unit through the 2022 respiratory tripledemic and partnered to develop a multipronged strategy for the administration of RSV immune globulin to the highest-risk infants, efforts that now include maternal RSV immunization and expanded access through the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. She also collaborated with the Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) to ensure accurate statewide vaccine modeling and funding to enable immune globulin administration for all newborn infants for the 2025 RSV season.

A passionate advocate for mental health, Dr. Nguyen co-chairs the Maryland AAP Mental Health Committee, serves as Ambassador for Youth Suicide Prevention and Trauma Informed Care, and co-hosted both the Youth Suicide Prevention and Trauma Informed Care symposia in 2024–2025. She also leads physician wellness initiatives, co-founding GBMC’s Medical Staff Wellness Committee and introducing impactful programs such as the Wellness Oasis Room and CARES peer crisis support.

Her career exemplifies compassionate, forward-thinking leadership that uplifts families, empowers physicians, and shapes the future of child health.

Lieutenant General Brian W. Cavanaugh assumed the duties as Commanding General, Fleet Marine Force, Atlantic; Commander, Marine Forces Command; and Commander, Marine Forces Northern Command on 30 August 2022.

A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Lieutenant General Cavanaugh earned his commission through the United States Naval Academy in 1990 and was designated a Naval Aviator in 1992. He served with HMH-462, HMH-362, and HMX-1. He commanded HMH-362 in Iraq during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM and MAG-36 during multiple disaster relief efforts in Asia.

As a General Officer, he served as Deputy Commander, U.S. Marine Forces Pacific; Deputy Director for Operations, Joint Staff J-3; Assistant Deputy Commandant, Programs, Headquarters Marine Corps, Programs and Resources Department; and as Commanding General, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. Lieutenant General Cavanaugh’s other staff assignments include instructor at Officer Candidates School; Aide-de-Camp to the Chief of Naval Operations; Joint Doctrine Branch Chief, Joint Staff; Executive Assistant, Vice Director Joint Staff; Director of the Commandant of the Marine Corps’ Safety Division; and Marine Military Assistant to the 75th Secretary of the Navy.

Lieutenant General Cavanaugh’s education includes a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, an MBA from Webster University and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University’s Industrial College of the Armed Forces.

He is also an MIT Seminar XXI Fellow. Lieutenant General Cavanaugh has accumulated over 3,000 flight hours, primarily in the CH-53D/E.

Altmann R. Pannell is a native of Petersburg, Virginia, who began his career of service through his achievement of the Boy Scouts of America, Eagle Scout Rank during his matriculation through high school. Altmann earned a B.A. in African American Studies with a focus in Public Policy from the University of Maryland College Park in 2009 and a Master of Public Administration with a focus in Public Policy from Bowie State University in 2016. Upon graduation, Altmann began his career in the arena of politics and government relations serving under three elected officials in the State of Maryland for over 10 years. In March 2016, Altmann began working in the Non-Profit Sector of the District of Columbia for Food & Friends Inc., as the Manager of Intergovernmental Relations and Public Funding.

After a successful service career with Food & Friends, Altmann continued to strive for higher aspirations and worked for the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) in 2019 as the Director of Government and External Affairs. During his tenure at IACLEA, Altmann directly interacted with and advocated to, members of the U.S. Congress, the Executive Administration, and federal government agencies in the public safety arena. In pursuit of enhancing best practices and striving to find solutions to problems in the policing community, Altmann worked tirelessly to bring different perspectives to difficult conversations addressing community policing in America. During his time at IACLEA, he was also tasked to lead the COVID-19 Rapid Response Task Force for the nation’s Colleges and Universities at the onset and throughout the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the early Spring of 2021, Altmann was presented with an excellent opportunity to join Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc., as the Director of Government Relations over the Mid-Atlantic Region. Coca-Cola Consolidated is the largest independent bottler of Coca-Cola in the United States. Since that time, Altmann has continued to work to raise awareness surrounding the positive economic, environmental, social, and sustainable impact that his company and The Coca-Cola brand have on the region and country as a whole.

Davion Percy is a Government Relations Executive with nearly 2 decades of experience in Government and Politics. He began his career by working in Prince George’s County Government. While with the county, he worked for 5 years. The executive branch and another 5 years in the legislative branch before taking so government relations job at Alexander & Cleaver, P.A. (A&C). He quickly rose through the ranks of A&C, becoming Vice President of Government Relations before leaving to launch his firm, Percy Public Affairs. He now serves Luminis Health as its Vice President of Community Relations & Public Policy.

Maurice Simpson Jr. JD has established himself as a leader in government, grassroots politics, and the private sector. As Senior Manager of State Government Affairs for Constellation, the nation's largest clean energy provider, Maurice leads the company's legislative and regulatory efforts to modernize energy policies for customers in Maryland, DC and Delaware. Prior to joining Constellation, Maurice spent over 7 years in public service as an aide to the Prince George's County Council. He was elected president of the Prince George's County Young Democrats and served as an At-Large Member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) Youth Council. With over 60,000 votes, Maurice was elected one of the youngest Delegates to the 2016 Democratic National Convention. Maurice is native of Prince George's County, Maryland where he serves on the board of Ardmore Enterprises, a local non-profit that empowers people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is an active member of the Prince George's County NAACP and First Baptist Church of Glenarden.

For All Seasons provides outpatient mental health, psychiatric, education, and rape crisis services to English and Spanish speaking communities regardless of one’s ability to pay. Trauma-certified therapists and psychiatrists provide a variety of treatment approaches and individualized care for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

While she enjoys working on a wide variety of project types, Amber has a particular passion for creating thoughtful and sensitive planning and design solutions for communities in need. By sharing her knowledge, she works to elevate client and community voices in crafting the future of their neighborhoods. Amber is particularly proud of her work designing revitalization plans for East Baltimore and the Harlem Park neighborhood, some of the most historically disinvested neighborhoods in Baltimore. Her engagement and master planning efforts in Baltimore and Washington, D.C. have been awarded the Greater Baltimore Committee's Mayors Business Recognition Award and the American Planning Association National Capital Area Chapter's Award for Outstanding Regional or Comprehensive Plan.

Amber leads the firm's People and Culture committee and is passionate about promoting gender and racial equity in the field of architecture. Outside the firm, she serves on the board of the Neighborhood Design Center, the board of the Baltimore Tree Trust, as a member of the Greater Baltimore Committee Economic Development Committee, and as a mentor with the Baltimore Design School. In 2021, Amber was included on the Daily Record's list of "Maryland's Top Women" for her professional achievements, community leadership, and service to others 

This eventually led to an active leadership role, introducing and implementing innovative programs such as Family Team Decision Making Meetings, which continue to help at risk families, social workers, and other community stakeholders find common ground. It was in this capacity that Jada discovered a passion for helping people to find mutual understanding and amiability within relationships. She further developed her clinical skills to begin training as a psychotherapist. Jada continued advancing her career and became a Licensed Certified Social Worker Clinical, a Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Supervisor, and a Certified Trauma Trained Therapist. With a continually growing love for mental health, Jada fully immersed herself into providing individual and family therapy, continuing her work and eventually becoming Director of Program Development at an area community mental health clinic, helping to grow the company from a small organization with 15 therapists to a major mental health provider with nearly 100 employees and 3 locations. Though having already succeeded greatly, Jada felt the call to forge new paths in the mental health field. In recent years, ada has become an entrepreneur.

Presently, Jada M. McCray, LCSW-C, is the Co Owner and COO of Cornerstone Health Management, the founder and CEO of The Inspire Institute for Professional Development and Continuing Education, Founder of Joshua Homes, as well as the Co-Owner and COO for BTST Services Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, a mental health provider in Baltimore City, Prince George's County, Frederick County, Washington County. She wholeheartedly agrees with the agency's mission "to become the leader and trailblazer of both the health and social work fields..." In this capacity, Jada is a member of Baltimore County Schools Mental Health Committee, an Advisory Board Member of the Cecil County CSA, a Board Member of the Children's Guild and a member of the Charles Village Business Association. Most recently, Jada was honored as one of the "Women Who Move Maryland" given by the Baltimore Magazine.

The group gained recognition in Vibe, Billboard, Sister 2 Sister magazine, and the media mogul radio show Wendy Williams. The group also performed in Tokyo, Japan, for the U.S. troops. After McNair music career, his ability to stay current with entertainment industry trends led him to the reality television space. Shortly after, he worked closely with some of VH1 top reality stars to create content and enhance their careers. His expertise helped him broker successful brand deals and secure bookings for the BET Awards. McNair passion for music navigated his path to work with music executives like Brooklyn Johnny, known for kickstarting the career of Grammy award-winning artist Cardi B. McNair worked as the brand strategist to Pinky Cole,

CEO of Slutty Vegan, a company valued at 100 million dollars. Today, he works as Pinky Cole Manager on her personal management team. He recently closed one of the most significant partnership deals of this decade, solidifying Slutty Vegan founder and CEO Pinky Cole as a development partner in Rye Street Market, a five billion-dollar development project on the Baltimore Peninsula led by MAG Partners and MacFarlane Partners. The deal also includes investments from Under Armour founder Kevin Plank plus his Sagamore Ventures Investment Firm and Goldman Sachs Asset Management Urban Investment Group.

In November 2019, McNair released his first book, Give It One More Try to shed light on the importance of mental fitness. He shares the depths of his early traumatic experiences and how he found ways to push for the life he has now. During his Give It One More Try campaign, he received honorary awards, and his book was rated number one on Amazon for men health. He appeared on T.V. One Sister Circle Show, FOX, and radio outlets. His second book Blessings in Uncertain Times featured a foreword by Cora Jakes, daughter of world-renowned Bishop T.D. Jakes and Serita Jakes. The book offered a new perspective in times of uncertainty. McNair recently sat with White House Correspondent Gerren Keith Gaynor to share how his book, “Give It One More Try,” has inspired thousands across the globe to persevere in the face of adversity and never stop striving for their goals.

McNair is grateful for his knowledge and experience as a strategist and problem solver. His life skills and career coaching have inspired many lives. He received multiple recognitions and awards for his community outreach. In October 2023, he was honored by the Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, for his distinguished community service and leadership. Today, he advocates for programs that help the youth; get ready for obstacles in the world. These programs are especially significant to him because the organization focuses on mental health and positively impacts minorities. In recent years, Chris has continued to grow as an entrepreneur. In 2017, Raba was named “Best Chef. in Baltimore” by City Paper, in 2018 Carlos Raba was name also name “Rising star chef” by Star chef publications and on 2022 Carlos Raba was a “James Beard” semifinalist.

Carlos Raba also a practitioner of Brazilian jiujitsu, hold a black belt first degree under Vicente Jr team and his passion for jiujitsu lead him to Co-found Guardian Baltimore a 501(c)3 nonprofit martial arts gym in Remington, Baltimore that offer classes in Brazilian jiu jitsu. The gym is free for kids ages 6 – 18, and offers affordable sliding-scale memberships for adults. the space was founded on the belief that almost everyone wants to be a part of a tribe, and they work daily to serve as a vital space for their community.

Emma Childs is an American-born painter. The Baltimore native uses eloquent shapes and thoughtful pops of color to create objects that physically interact with their environment Through her minimalist approach, Childs transforms experiences and emotions into simplified forms, color, and geometric edges. The results are eye-catching compositions, which tell complicated and interconnected narratives in an accessible way. Childs’s paintings are layered depictions of existence in the worlds we build around ourselves.

Angela (Angie) Schaffer is an international educator, grants professional, and entrepreneur. Angie grew up in Baltimore City and was a first-generation college graduate. At Goucher College, where Angie earned a B.A. in International Relations, she served as Director of Sponsored Research and Corporate & Foundation Relations and Assistant Director of International Studies. Between her positions with Goucher, Angie served as Senior Director of Program Development at Cultural Vistas. Angie also served as ARO and Program Officer with TPG Cultural Exchange, a J-1 Teacher Visitor sponsor. She started her career in education abroad at the University of Maryland, and holds a Master of Arts degree in International Education Policy.

Throughout her studies and career, Angela has focused on underrepresented students and issues that affect people in or from primarily urban areas. BRUSH Mural Fest is Baltimore's hyper-local mural festival created for artists, by artists. BRUSH is proud to present five of Baltimore’s most talented female and non-binary teams made up of nine Pro muralists and four Rising Stars (emerging artists mentored by the Pros) joining together to paint, educate, and inspire through five murals installed across the city. BRUSH Mural Fest culminates in a day of outdoor festivities at Lexington Market Plaza on Saturday, October 21st from 11 am to 5pm.

AfroLatina artist, Jaz Erenberg painted her first mural in 2017 and immediately knew that if she could find a way to engage the community around her, the mural could be that much more impactful! Over the last 6 years, her practice has grown through collaboration with communities to build creative ways to make them feel seen and heard throughout the process. Using workshops and events, communities have become an integral part of how she creates public artwork. When a community is involved in how their space can be transformed, their sense of ownership and pride is reignited and they become a stronger, more connected community. “I love working in public, my favorite thing to do is pull people off the street and put a brush in their hand. Some are hesitant, but once that mural is finished, there is such a sense of pride and renewed ownership within that community. Corinna Delgado has been a voice in broadcasting for over 20 years on more than 12 stations across the country. ​ Delgado has been a Reporter & Anchor for ABC and FOX affiliates in Anchorage, AK. ​ As a Journalist, she has written for The Anchorage Daily News, The Anchorage Press and The Northern Light. Delgado has also published 4 books, including 3 poetry compilations and 1 therapeutic creative writing workbook. ​ In addition to opening for countless acclaimed artists, Def Poetry Jam, Grammy winning artists The Roots, World Poetry Champion Buddy Wakefield, and many more, Delgado has won 2 State-Wide poetry Championships, ranked Nationally within the top ten performance poets with PSI (Poetry Slam Incorporated), and has been to Folsom Prison twice to perform for inmates with the Arts in Correction Program. Corinna is a dedicated humanitarian. She is a former commissioner on the Municipal Arts Advisory Commission for Anchorage Alaska. Delgado taught a 3 part therapeutic Writing Course "Writing as Therapy" in schools districts and correctional facilities across the states for over a decade. Delgado was the Development Director for AWAIC (The Abused Women’s Aid In Crisis Shelter) and most recently performed for numerous community focused events during the pandemic. She continues to use her broadcast connections and art to serve as a platform for human rights issues. Delgado credits the 6 years served as a Combat Medic in the military as her foundation of service to others. A sought after public speaker, Corinna has been an emcee and key note speaker for such groups as The United Way, The NAACP, The National Endowment for The Arts, and The YWCA, to name a few. ​

Jungle Jordan is a zookeeper and wildlife educator whose mission is to make it fun to learn about the animal world. His passion for wildlife education and conservation is contagious and he hopes to inspire younger generations to be participants in conserving and repairing the natural world. Through his educational and often comedic videos, he explores different ways to engage with wildlife: in zoos, aquariums, safaris, through books and television, and even hiking in his own backyard. Jordan has been bringing his voice to his audience as Jungle Jordan since 2017: through social media, podcasts, classrooms, diversity panels, and more. He advocates not only for the conservation of wildlife but also for diverse audiences to get involved in animal care and conservation. Jordan hopes his voice will inspire more diversity and inclusivity in the animal world.

Dr. John Sealey is a renowned innovator in clinical medical education and served as the leading fundraiser and founding DIO of Detroit’s Authority Health graduate medical education residency program, a $25 million in-community resident training initiative that was the largest teaching health center program in the country. He continues to support the program as DIO/DME Emeritus and as a consulting Medical Director.

Dr. Sealey has long been a passionate advocate of increasing diversity in medical education and has enjoyed developing pipeline programs targeting the underserved and underrepresented. He is a graduate of an HCBU, North Carolina Central University (1971) and received his medical education at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine (1976). He completed his resident training at Botsford General Hospital (now Beaumont) and the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in 1984, specializing in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, and has served underprivileged patients in the Detroit community for the entirety of his surgical career. In 2015, he completed an American Osteopathic Association Health Policy Fellowship at Ohio’s University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

A longstanding advocate for the osteopathic profession and a dedicated clinical instructor, Dr. Sealey has spent over thirty years in medical education and fifteen years in leadership. Since 2008, he has served as the Director of Student Medical Education for Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Regional Dean for the Detroit Region). From 2011 onward, he held a similar role at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, including responsibility for the coordination and initiation of student clinical rotations at the Detroit Medical Center. He later provided development and upstart advisory for the Minnesota College of OsteopathicMedicine as the Associate Dean of Medical Affairs and currently serves as the Associate Dean ofClinical Medicine at Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine where he leads the oversight of clinical departments, graduate medical education, and third and fourth-year student clinical rotations.

Nationally, Dr. Sealey is a member of the American Osteopathic Association’s Council on Osteopathic Graduate Medical Education, having completed his term as Chairman in 2020, and was recently appointed as the Co-Chairman of COCA’s Committee on Diversity. He served on the HRSA Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry and continues to serve the State of Michigan as a member of the Acupuncture Board, a position appointed by the Governor.

Dr. Sealey has spearheaded numerous medical research projects as clinical advisor and has presented as a frequent speaker to numerous national committees and organizations, including the Association of Osteopathic Directors and Medical Educators, the Heartland Health Equity Conference, the ACGME Annual Educational Conference, the ACGME Accreditation & Medically Underserved Areas Work Group, and the AHME Institute. His scholarship has been published by, inter alia, the Journal of American Osteopathic Association,

We discussed how their office is trying to get develop responsible policies /regulations that ensure the safety of our communities, first and foremost. They explain how this technology was once being used in Baltimore City Police Department. Councilmember Burnett passed a temporary moratorium banning the uses and procurement of FRT until policies are put in place to protect privacy rights and combat the potential abuse of this technology.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Donae achieved a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University in 1998. He concurrently completed a second degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech before beginning his career in the information technology sector, initially consulting on Healthcare Systems. In 2001, Donae entered the alcohol industry, working on the promotional side of several iconic brands in the US, before joining the luxury group LVMH. During his 10+ years with the company, he worked across brands such as Dom Perignon, Veuve Clicquot, Ruinart, Moet & Chandon, Belvedere Vodka, and Hennessy Cognac. While with LVMH, in 2011, Donae created the first-ever luxury champagne bar in a sports arena at American Airlines Arena during the Miami Heat's championship run. In 2016, Donae became the Regional Director of the Southeast US, Caribbean, and Latin America regions of Armand de Brignac Champagne. He was responsible for the brand's commercial and marketing goals in each territory.

Throughout his career, Donae found that, in general, the wine industry was not embracing the multicultural consumer. He wanted to create a quality product inspired by his zest for life and travel that homed in on catering to the margin that had been overlooked, particularly when it came to rosé. Shelby Blondell is an international, songwriter, singer, inventor and speaker from Linthicum MD, whose determination  shows that even brain surgeries cannot get her down. Shelby has a unique sound that captivates a crowd by bringing them to their feet and hitting their heart. Shelby’s  music, story, and work have been featured on radio and multimedia internationally, with a radio hit TOP 10, "Fun In The Sun", on the European Indie Music Charts while sharing the stage with artists like Pentatonix, Howie Day and many in between.  ​

Shelby's career began with her self released debut ep (fly) in 2013 and self titled EP in 2014 inleading her to performing throughout MD, DC, VA and  PA alongside national acts.  In 2016, Shelby’s career began to take on a new speed with the release of her single's 'Fun In The Sun' , 'Harmony' &  “Hope Begins Tomorrow,” performing on news outlets such as WMAR and Great Day Washington. And the year ended with two milestone performances at the legendary Blues Alley and the Maryland Music Awards, where a divine intervention came to be. 

During 2018, Shelby began to feel an undeniable pull to share more of her heart, story and faith amongst struggles. After fighting the direction for some time Shelby decided to release her first christian single, ‘Mercy’ in August 2019, leading her to an European tour, and Wammie Nomination.

While the global pandemic halted Shelby’s 2020  music and vendor tour schedules, it set sail to new artistic ideas, music and product designs.  On April 2, 2021  the single “It’ll be Okay” was released  with a music video highlighting the challenges and joys being faced during the pandemic. On October 10th “Shelby Blondell- Live By The River”  was documented and the album released in November 2020.  This collaborative project brought  creators together in a safe environment, as we had not been able to do all year.

A 33-year veteran of the travel and hospitality industry, Ferguson leads DDC’s efforts to generate economic opportunity for the District through meetings and tourism, overseeing the organization’s convention and tourism sales, marketing, finance and business development operations.

Ferguson celebrated his 20-year anniversary with DDC in December 2021. He began his tenure in December 2001 as the Vice President of Convention Sales, became Senior Vice President of Convention Sales and Services in 2005 and has served as President and CEO since 2009. Prior to DDC, he was Director of Sales and Vice President of Sales at the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau and Director of Sales at the Savannah CVB.

In January 2021, he was named Board Chair of Tourism Diversity Matters, an organization focused on creating diversity, equity and inclusion opportunities at all levels of the workforce. He has been instrumental in advancing conversations about race and racism throughout the hospitality industry.

Ferguson was National Chair of the board of directors for the U.S. Travel Association from February 2019 to February 2021 and is currently chair of the compensation committee. He serves on the board of Brand USA from December 2021-December 2024.

As the tourism industry faces the COVID-19 pandemic, Ferguson is focused on strategic recovery with many organizations including DDC’s Recovery Advisory Committee, Connected DMV, the Downtown Recovery Work Group.

He is on the board or a member of: Advisory Board of the Smithsonian National Zoo; DC Jazz Festival; Ryan Kerrigan “Blitz for the Better” Foundation and the United Way of the National Capital Area. He represents DDC as part of the Hospitality Alliance of Washington, D.C.

Ferguson received a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Business Administration from Savannah State University. His many industry memberships include Professional Conference Management Association, International Association of Exhibition Executives, Destinations International, National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners, Meeting Professionals International and American Society of Association Executives. Ferguson and his wife, Telesa Via, also a hospitality industry veteran, are longtime residents of Capitol Hill. The first Baltimore CTE Food, Beverage and Baking Competition took place in early May 2022 during National Travel &Tourism Week  Five local high schools and over 100 students participated is a behind-the-scenes-property tour, culinary competition, and networking opportunity while learning from various professionals in the industry.

During his 16-year tenure, more than 70 major development projects opened in the Downtown core with the assistance of The Partnership. Also, under his leadership, The Partnership revitalized parks and plazas (Center Plaza, Preston Gardens, Hopkins Plaza, McKeldin Plaza); led the transformation of Pratt Street; launched the Charm City Circulator; oversaw planning for a new Lexington Market and renovation of Cross Street Market; created a Homeless Outreach Team; and co-authored a tax credit program to spark apartment construction throughout the City. As a result, Downtown dramatically transformed from a predominantly commercial zone into a mixed-use neighborhood with new cultural attractions and a burgeoning residential population. Julie Donaldson is the Senior Vice President of Media and Content for the Washington Commanders. A member of Washington's executive leadership team, Julie oversees the entire broadcast and editorial operation in the organization along with being a permanent member of the gameday radio broadcast. The first female to be a regular on-air member of an NFL radio broadcast booth, Julie also adds her input and vision towards all of the club's in-house creative content.

During a decade-long tenure as a reporter, anchor, and host for NBC Sports Washington (NCBSW), Julie has covered nearly every team, athlete and major sports story in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore region, as well as across national and international sporting events. Julie most recently served as host of NBCSW's Emmy Award-winning NFL pregame and postgame shows and contributed regularly to its other football programs and coverage.

In addition to her work with NBCSW, Julie has also frequently held on-air roles for NBC Sports and NBC Olympics. She has held three Olympic assignments as a News Desk Host during the 2018 (PyeongChang) 2016 (Rio) and 2014 (Sochi) Olympic Games, and often serves as a weekend Sports Desk host for NBC Sports. John Tyler is a 21-year-old artist, multi- instrumentalist, multi-genre producer, Founder of Love Groove Music Festival, and film scorer for Under Armour, Bloomberg Philanthropies, Visit Baltimore, and Maryland Public Television.  He has been featured in Charm TV, Hulu Advertisements, BET Instagram Promotions, Baltimore Magazine, Afro Newspaper, Baltimore Sun, B’more Art, Baltimore’s 92Q, & WTMD.    At 16, John released his first mixtape and has since released two more. SK8R GRLS is a photo series by E. Brady Robinson celebrating the freedom and joy of roller skating. The  exhibition is on view at Hotel Indigo Baltimore, located at 24 West Franklin St. from Jan 25th - March 18th. A  public reception will take place on March 8th from 5 to 7 pm in celebration of International Women’s Day.    

In spring of 2021, Robinson took up skating as a way to stay active and reconnect with friends outdoors  during COVID-19. During these skate dates, she photographed friends and eventually, a wider network of  Baltimore-based female-identifying skaters. This work combines her love of athleticism, fitness, and fashion  photography. These images, made at a moment where it felt like the world was reopening after over a year  of closure and isolation during the pandemic, evoke a feeling of release and freedom.   

Robinson completed her BFA in photography at MICA and MFA in photography at the Cranbrook Academy of  Art. Her background is in documentary photography and portraiture. The nine archival metal prints on  display at the Hotel Indigo depict strong women amidst a backdrop of Baltimore monuments and sites.  Locations such as Lake Montebello, Patterson Park, the Druid Hill Tennis Courts, and the Ravens parking lot,  signal the public landscape of Baltimore for those that know it well, in contrast to photographs made in the  artist’s Maryland Art Place studio which utilize strobe and gel lighting to simulate the vibes of the 80’s  roller skating rinks reminiscent of Robinson’s childhood.  

The skaters photographed include artists, musicians, and female entrepreneurs; women in the creative scene  in Baltimore, including Amy Cavanaugh, Caitlin Gill, Jade Davis, Tina Thompson, Brittany Wight, Les Gray,  Hayley Furman, Jessica Lauryn, Sophie Kluckhuhn, and Wildège François.  

Brady Robinson is a photographer based in Baltimore and a current resident artist at Maryland Art Place.  She divides her time between personal art projects and commissioned work. Her documentary Art Desks was  published by Daylight Books with an essay by Andy Grundberg and distributed by ARTBOOK D.A.P. Her  photographs have been featured in The Washington Post, Channel One Russia TV, The Bund Shanghai,  Hyperallergic, BmoreArt, Featureshoot, Slate among others. Robinson leads photography workshops  throughout the United States. Select exhibitions include Lishui Photography Festival China, Orlando Museum  of Art, Cornell Fine Arts Museum, Katzen Art Center at American University, AIPAD NYC, and Art Miami. Select  collections include American University, Orlando Museum of Art and Spanish Cultural Center, Santo Domingo,  DR.  

Robinson is a University Instructor of Photography at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, and faculty at  ICP in New York. She received her BFA in photography from The Maryland Institute, College of Art, and MFA  in photography from Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Robinson is represented by  Addison/Ripley Fine Art in Washington, DC.

Cory McCray was elected to represent the 45th Legislative District in the Maryland State Senate in 2018. Since that time, he has been named a “legislator to watch” by The Daily Record and Maryland Matters. Additionally, Cory also serves as First Vice Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party.

Cory’s story is a uniquely Baltimore story. Like many of us, Cory grew up in a Baltimore whose greatest resource was its hardworking men and women. In spite of that resource, the City often struggled to give those men and women the opportunity they deserved. As a teenager at Fairmount- Harford High School, Cory was also in search of opportunity. After a brief trip down the wrong path as a teenager, he found out about apprenticeships at the age of 18. The rest is history. By 19, he had become a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. By 20, he was a homeowner. Cory continued to meet opportunity halfway, working his way through community college and a bachelor’s degree, all while growing a small business focused on rental properties.

Those years also brought marriage and four loving children, along with a career focused wholly on working families and the communities they hold dear. Cory continues working for his local union and as a community organizer to this day, helping expand the opportunity for a better life to men and women across our City.

In 2014, neighbors across the 45th District elected Cory to represent them in Maryland’s House of Delegates. During his time in the House, leading news outlets like Center Maryland called him one of the most effective freshman legislators in the entire state.

Cory’s approach to public service is listening to his constituents’ problems and then figuring out how to solve them. When his constituents asked for better jobs, Cory passed the ACTION and POWER Apprenticeship Acts, which expands funding for apprenticeships that lead to family supporting careers. When he was asked for a larger investment in public schools, Cory passed legislation that scores school construction funding, so that lawmakers can’t cut Baltimore out of the resources it deserves.

Cory’s neighbors also asked him to make sure that they have a voice in Annapolis. He gave them a voice by passing legislation that restored voting rights to thousands of Marylanders. Just weeks after that victory, Governor Larry Hogan vetoed the bill and again silenced voices at the ballot box that many men and women had found for the first time in decades. But Cory didn’t give up. He returned to the legislature more determined than ever, building a coalition of legislators from across Maryland who overturned the governor’s veto, restoring the voices that Governor Hogan had silenced

As the 45th District’s Senator, Cory is continuing his mission to bring greater levels of resources and equity to the City of Baltimore.

EMILY KELLER is serving her first term as Mayor.  She was a councilmember during her previous term. She is the owner-operator of the Emily Keller Insurance and Financial Agency - Farmers Insurance. Born and raised in Hagerstown, Emily is a 2004 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and is the proud mother of her 13 year old daughter, Layla. She serves as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBTQ) Liaison for the Mayor & Council. She is active throughout the community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Community Rescue Service, Inc, as well as the Board of Trustees for LGIT (Local Government Insurance Trust). Her passion includes advocating for heroin and opioid awareness in the community, and she serves as the Chair of Washington Goes Purple, sits on the Board of Directors for the Phoenix Foundation, and the Heroin and Opioid Senior Policy Group- all 4 groups of which advocate for health, wellness and recovery in our area.

E. Brady Robinson is a photographer based in Baltimore, MD. She divides her time between personal art projects and commissioned work. She is the founder of BMORECULINARY. Robinson specializes in shooting food, fashion, fitness, and portraits. Her fine art work is represented by Addison/Ripley Fine Art. Robinson is Instructor of Photography at Goucher College and International Center for Photography in NYC. She also teaches vinyasa yoga. Baltimore is her art home. Aaron sits down with Chef David and Chef Tonya Thomas at The Sinclair.We talk about how Chef David was the Grand Champion of Chopped on The Food Network. We talk about how traveling Africa blew their minds. We discuss "The Shores of Us" a special dinner they are having July 10th. We talk about how they got into the food industry. 

David Thomas is a chef and entrepreneur from Baltimore, Maryland. He has been in the industry for over 25 years and has opened and operated several restaurants including the nationally recognized and award-winning Herb & Soul Gastro Café and Ida B’s Table. His goal is to bring his mission to reclaim the narrative around African American cooking, sharing this legacy and helping to push it forward.

In 2019, Chef David was asked to be part of a James Beard Foundation Juneteenth celebration dinner that brought together African American chefs from all over the country who are solidifying the roots of soul food. He was also given the opportunity to collaborate and cook with world renowned chefs from all over the globe at Guinness Meatopia, taking his culinary community global.

Chef David has now competed on Food Network’s Chopped competition three times. Ultimately, he earned the title of Chopped Grand Champion in February 2020. He has gone undefeated three times in the Chopped Kitchen.

In March of 2020, at the beginning of the shutdowns due to Covid-19, Chef David Thomas and his wife, Tonya stepped away from Ida B’s Table. This decision came just after they went to West Africa with Roots To Glory where they went to explore their heritage and their roots in food.

Jasmine is the only black female owned oyster bar in the United States. Baltimore is lucky to have this amazing restaurant. Jasmine discusses her story of how she got into the restaurant and hospitality industry. We talk about the trials and tribulations of being a entrepreneur.

She talks about the moment when she found at the Guinness wanted to do beer collaboration to pair with Oysters.

Kat Mantzouris, Hospital and Conservation Programs Coordinator at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore got her start as a reptile and amphibian keeper where she cared for frogs, snakes, turtles, otters and bobcats. The pandemic didn’t stop Kat and her colleagues from their work with animals. The Maryland Zoo has safety protocols in place so that visitors can step away from Zoom meetings, get outside and learn more about chimps, penguins and other beautiful creatures.

Jason Bass is the Director of Culture and Impact at Hotel Revival in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood. Throughout the pandemic, he’s led the hotel in the activation of programs to feed and support the surrounding community and uplift small and minority owned businesses, creating a ghost kitchen and sharing pop-up space. Jason believes in the power of travel and encourages listeners to take part in the cultural exchange it presents – even locally.

Alexandra Curtis served as Miss Rhode Island 2015 and was named a Quality of Life award finalist at Miss America 2016 for her platform “Leading Ladies: Equipping Young Women With the Skills to Lead.”In 2019 she represented Rhode Island at Miss Earth USA, focusing her advocacy on environmental sustainability through plant-based living. She represented Rhode Island again at Miss Earth USA 2020 and won the title of Miss Earth USA Eco.  

Curtis has been a featured speaker at several major conferences and events including Running Start’s Young Women’s Political Leadership Summit and the New England Women's Policy Conference. For her work with "Leading Ladies" she was honored at the 10th annual Young Women to Watch Awards, was named on Rare’s 2016 Under 40 List, and Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England's 2018 Leading Women of Distinction. She continues her platform work as a speaker at local schools and universities. Curtis is a two time TEDxSpeaker, with talks titled “Leading Ladies: Why Representation Matters" and "Daring Daily: The Power of Practicing Courage."

Curtis holds a B.A. in Political Science and Public Relations from Syracuse University, a Master of Public Affairs from Brown University, a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Homeland Security from Salve Regina University, and an A.A. focused on Emergency Management from Community College of Rhode Island. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from Cornell University.

In March 2017 Alexandra enlisted in the Rhode Island Army National Guard as a Human Resources Specialist. In fall 2019 she commissioned into the Field Artillery as a Second Lieutenant after completing Officer Candidate School. She currently serves full-time in Public Affairs.   

Through her advocacy, she remains dedicated to bringing young women into fields where women have been historically underrepresented.

Thomas James is the Visual Arts Curator at Creative Alliance in Baltimore, Maryland and a blogger for Urban Walls World.

He studied Business Administration at Frostburg State University where he first dove seriously into the world of art. His first exhibition was at Mountain City Center for the Arts, where he was interning. After graduation, Thomas took an opportunity to independently curate another exhibition, Darkest Before the Dawn at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, and was eventually able to get the show to travel to the ArtReach Gallery in Washington, DC.

Thomas then went on to join the team at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC and conduct a fellowship at The Maryland Federation of Art in Annapolis, Maryland before joining the Baltimore anchor institution, Creative Alliance, in 2018. Today, Thomas continues to curate beyond Creative Alliance at institutions like the Eubie Blake Cultural Center in Baltimore, Maryland and Anne Arundel Community College. 

Thomas James and I discuss his love for the arts and how a mentor gave him some amazing advice in the Art world. We talk about the new show "Organic Destruction" that starts April 17th and runs through the end of May.
