After a long break Cameron is back with his new version of the podcast. He is still reviewing mostly indie fantasy novels but he’s now doing it in his tractor. Cameron spends way too much time in said tractor and figured that since he was listening to a lot of audiobooks but had almost zero time to record episodes with his wife and friends like he used to he would put some of that tractor time to use and record podcast episodes again.

I had never read anything by Pratchett and before I dove right in I decided I'd dip my toes in. As a result of a dearth of true believers, despite being the only god allowed in a rather large empire, Om is now trapped in the body of a lowly turtle and will need a nobody named Brutha to help reclaim his place in the pantheon of gods.

An army is at the gates of Haltveldt, a nation built on war, and nothing is as it seems.
Calene Alpenwood, a powerful warrior-mage gifted with the Spark, makes a shocking discovery that sets into motion events that put her at odds with the very masters she serves. Reuniting with her mother Zanna, a woman banished after a terrible crime, they team up with unlikely allies as they attempt to save the fortress of Solitude from destruction.
One thing’s for certain; ruin approaches if Solitude falls and life will never be the same when The Banished return.

<itunes:summary>In this episode Cameron interviews RJ Barker. His debut novel Age of Assasins was published by Orbit books last year. The 2nd and 3rd books in the trilogy will be out this year. The interview did go a little long but I had fun and he's hilarious so I just left it long!

Erick is another fraternity brother from college and has been a big fantasy fan since high school when he picked up The Wheel of Time series just as Chris and Cameron did. The 3 of them had many discussions about the books in college, this time there was a lot less alcohol involved than back then as we discussed the book. There will be some screaming children in the background occasionally since there were miltiple young kids in the house, I hope it's not too disctracting.
