In this episode of "Universal Spirituality" Dr. Rios gives us a look into the life of who is recognized as one of the greatest Catholic Saints of all time. Saint Francis of Assisi, who was born around 1181 (the exact date is uncertain) and died on October 3rd, 1226, wanted to be as close to God as possible. Growing up in a wealthy family, Francis relinquished all his belongings and possessions, following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. He gave all his money to the poor to become yet poor himself and would not allow anyone in his presence to be poorer than him. Francis spent his life with complete devotion to the Creator and was one of the saints to have received the "stigmata." That was a clear example of how the great Saint Francis continuously lived, as "A Mirror of Christ."
