What did the overturning of "Roe vs. Wade" do to affect abortion pills and people's access to them? What is the "legal why" on this topic? Roe vs Wade moved the abortion decision away from the Federal government and gave it to the states and that becomes critical to today's discussion - "States that readily allow abortion may continue to do so" according to the Supreme Court decision. But what if your state doesn't allow this? Can you travel from a state that bans abortion or an abortion pill to a state that allows it? Can you order an abortion pill in the mail? We break down the Legal Anatomy of this complicated topic. Download, Listen & Subscribe!

In our last episode on this topic which aired in February 2023, Gary Bell and Brad Pollock covered "Colorado River & Water Rights". Who owns this water? And who is in control of this water and has rights to it? As a recap, the law is called "Prior Appropriation" - In the old days - you're trying to make a homestead and you mark your land next to the river to claim that land and be able to use the water from the river. You start to establish a historical use of the water by appropriation - now you have priority of use over anyone downstream using the water unless they have a superior appropriation right than yours.

In this episode, when talking about the lower basin states. (AZ, CA NV) the administrative agency (we have talked about those!); The United States Bureau of Reclamation has jurisdiction and the power to decide and control this water. How is this possible? How is this happening if we have a law of appropriation? Since a voluntary agreement wasn't made by California what will happen next to the states in the lower basin? Learn the fascinating details of this case. Download, Listen & Subscribe!

You can go back, catch up and listen to this episode! https://legalanatomy.podbean.com/e/dominion-vs-fox/

Today we have new developments regarding motions for summary judgments that are rarely used - why are they used here? Both sides filed motions for summary judgments - meaning both sides want the judge to rule right now that there is no trial and to rule in the favor of one side - trial goes away. This is significant! Listen to the riveting fact of this case and learn why! Download, Listen & Subscribe!

Colorado has an anti-discrimination statute and this cake shop was accused of violating this statute by refusing to bake a cake for a same-sex couple.
