GUUUURL same!

I’m so grateful you’re here! This podcast is all about practically writing the Living Word on our hearts; so it’s there when you need it, not just somewhere in a notebook you can’t find. And no, it’s not just saying a verse 100 times. It’s quick, it’s simple, and honestly? It’s kind of fun. Stick with me!

Hey, I’m Keaghan. A Jesus-loving wife and mama who still struggles with fear, anxiety, and the constant ”am I doing enough” … all while racing a ticking clock and a never-ending to-do list. I tried living life the world’s way, and honestly, unsubscribe!

I hustled, tried harder, and did more. I got the management job and the degree like they said. It almost ruined me. In my first year of varsity, studying a BSc, the panic attacks led to a family intervention.

That’s when I started learning HOW to actually learn. Life shifted dramatically, I spent nearly as much time studying my own brain as I did studying for my degree. I got that degree with a distinction, had a baby in my final year, and worked full time through it. It took years after that to connect those study methods to how I read and learn my Bible. But I got there! Praising Jesus for His goodness and patience with me along the way!

Now I’m still on this journey, just like you. As I keep walking imperfectly with the Lord, He keeps showing me how wonderful our brains actually are and my joy keeps increasing. Learning is so much more possible than we often think.

If you’re ready to read and memorize your Bible so you have an arsenal at your disposal for when life be ”life’ing” with quick, easy, simple methods that actually stick, this podcast is for you.

What if a slightly ridiculous hand motion could be the thing that finally makes a reference stick?

Friends, if you thought Isaiah 40:31 was a verse you already knew by heart, stick with me, because knowing the words was never actually my struggle. It's the address, the chapter and verse, that used to slip right through my fingers. In this episode I'm teaching you a full body anchor for Isaiah 40:31 (NLT): “Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength, they will soar high on wings like eagles.” We build it one gesture at a time: a T for trust, a flex with a popped pinky for Isaiah, and a wing swish for soar. Then I show you how that same hand shape locks in the actual chapter and verse, forty, thirty one, so the reference sticks right alongside the words. Yes, you will look a little ridiculous doing this in your kitchen or your car. Let's be crazy for the Lord together.

Wonder what a technique that looks like a game of Scrabble could actually do for your Scripture memory?

Friends, it started as a blessing that I was praying over my daughter and then it turned into art! In this episode I'm walking you through exactly how I memorize scripture as an adult, using a technique that looks a little bit like a game of Scrabble and a whole lot like meditating on the word. We dig into Psalm 1:1 to 3 (KJV), why I built my own crossword style word map out of thirteen keywords, and how walking, standing, and sitting became a lens for examining my own heart posture. I also get honest about something the Holy Spirit only recently handed me: I don't delight in God's law to get a blessing. I delight because He is God, full stop.

Ever wonder how Daniel walked in favor with a king who didn't even worship his God? He knew the law, and he kept it.

Welcome to the very first episode of Bible Memory with me, Keaghan! In this short trailer I pull back the curtain on my own story, from panic attacks as a first time university student in my late twenties to graduating with distinctions once I learned how to actually learn, and how those same skills now fuel my approach to memorizing Scripture. I share three biblical reasons to start hiding God's Word in your heart: David knew Scripture and ran toward giants because of it, Daniel knew the law and walked in favor because he kept it, and Jesus met temptation itself with "It is written." Knowing Scripture gives you courage, shapes how you walk, and equips you to flee temptation when it comes knocking.
