In August of 1999 21-year-old Jubilee Lum, also known as Maile, (pronounced My-lee) was last seen getting into a light-colored Ford Econoline van in Honolulu’s Kalihi area. Less than 24 hours later, her body was discovered in a trash bin behind a florist on South Beretania Street, wrapped in garbage bags. Jubilee, who was four months pregnant at the time, died from suffocation by strangulation. Despite early investigative efforts and a possible connection to the murder of Michelle Anne Bensinger, the case remains unsolved. More than two decades later, there have been no arrests, leaving Jubilee’s family still searching for answers and justice.

Mabel Kretshmar was a 59-year-old widow who had recently returned to her hometown for a fresh start. On the bitterly cold night of February 13, 1959, she walked nearly a mile through the snow to attend a church prayer service, determined not to let the weather stop her.

Somewhere along the way, she was targeted. A man dragged her from view, beat her brutally, and left her for dead. Somehow, Mabel managed to stumble—shoeless—to a nearby gas station. Police responded quickly, but she was fading fast. She died at the hospital just hours later.

Authorities launched the largest manhunt the area had ever seen, with multiple agencies involved and a reward offered. Despite those efforts, her killer was never identified. Sixty-seven years later, her case remains unsolved.

In the early morning hours of March 7, 2012, 27 year old mother of 3, Amy Ellison was shot and killed inside her trailer home on Brigham Landing Road. She was pregnant with her fourth child.

Around 5:30 a.m., her eldest daughter called 911, telling dispatch that her mother was “laying on the floor, bloody,” and pleading, “Just get here fast because we’re here alone.” Deputies arrived to find Amy dead from a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

The heartbreaking discovery by her own child and the loss of both Amy and her unborn baby devastated the family and sparked an investigation into who entered the home before dawn and why.

According to World Population review this year in PA there are 504 open missing person cases and 320 unidentified. I was astonished at that staggering number because that seems steep right? But the rate is only 3.9 per 100K which seems lower. According to NamUs most cases are resolved and the percentage that aren’t is under 1%. The people that are found were either lost, made the conscious decision to leave, or were taken. The case we are covering today is over 20 years old. Police were never able to locate her living or dead. No one has heard a word from her since June 24th, 2002. Unfortunately, Sabrina Mae Kahler is part of that 1%.

Back in the day mental health was not widely acknowledged. If treatment was provided it would typically be harsh, cruel, and ineffective. The lack of knowledge, correct treatment, and the negative connotations of mental illness could have potentially been the reason behind the disappearance of Andrea Jean Coyle. She struggled with mental illness and in 1971 she experienced a breakdown. The hospital she stayed at provided a course of electroconvulsive therapy. According to Andrea’s family she was never the same after. For years her mental health was teetering between attempting suicide, disappearing for months on end, and making poor choices. December 19, 1998 was the last time her family has seen or heard from her.

Fort Mifflin, originally called Fort Island Battery and also known as Mud Island Fort, was built in 1772 by the British to protect Philadelphia. At the start of the Revolutionary War, the Americans claimed the fort and completed construction. It is located near the Philadelphia International Airport. It is one of the only remaining revolutionary war battlefields intact, which was also utilized during the Civil War, WW1 and WW2. It is also considered one of the most terrifying places in Pennsylvania.

He was beaten, bludgeoned, and thrown through a sliding glass door before he was fatally shot in his own Glenn Road home in Aston, PA 13 days before his body was discovered.

Episode 60: Susan Cerritelli - Missing (1983)

Cassandra Gross was last heard from on April 7, 2018. Days later her dog was found wandering alone along a road in Unity Township and shortly after her car was found near Twin Lakes Park in Hempfield Township, burned. Rocco Marinaro was walking home from eating out at a restaurant in Allentown. He was found shot inside his enclosed porch in 2012 and to date no persons of interest have been released. The Allentown police did release a clip of surveillance footage of Rocco walking home that they believe could lead to more information. They are looking to help identify two people who were seen shortly after Rocco passed the camera.

Michelle Farr ran a typical errand to the grocery store only two blocks away from her home. On her way home she was abducted. The following day her body was found in Lake Nockamixon. This case has been unsolved for 41 years and 6 year old Michelle deserves justice.
