The Mother Heart of God

In Genesis 1:27, it says that “God created man in His own image. In the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them.” In other words, both male and female are created in the image of God, not just the male.

The Empty Tomb

Can you imagine what it was like for Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James, to go to the tomb to place spices and find that it was empty? Then, when they went back to tell the disciples what they saw, the men did not believe them. Typical, right, ladies? Yet these women were the first people to know that the tomb was empty. Notice the wonderful picture. The fathers and mothers reach back to the young people and pull them along. The young people reach up to gain strength and knowledge from the fathers and mothers. They also reach back to pull the children along toward maturity. I love this picture because no matter if you are one of the children, one of the young people, or one of the fathers and mothers, you have purpose in the body of Christ.
