Due to a last second pivot, Teej was unable to record this week, so you'll have to come back next week to listen to the guys rip apart Nelson's Mogis EDH deck.

Some quick thinking (and a strong rum-and-Coke-induced buzz for Schnell) turned what was going to be a discussion between Schnell and Nelson about the Zendikar Rising previews into a full-on discussion on game stores and their owners, pandemic thoughts, deck-building processes, and finally a few heavy hitters from Zendikar Rising. First, a little heads-up; when recording this episode we didn't know one of the PCs had their speakers active, which resulted in a weird quirk where we didn't hear anything out of the ordinary while we were recording, but once Nelson went to edit, a little echo was heard at the end of Nelson and Teej's sentences, so bear with us this week and we'll have it straightened back out next week.

Things have been a little out of sorts for everyone over the past few weeks, and getting the show ready for publishing took a back seat to work, family, and a few other things that needed to be taken care of in light of what's going on all around the world right now.

Pre-release weekend for Core Set 2020 has come and gone, but that doesn't mean we don't have things to say as you prepare to play and draft this set! We also give you some thoughts on how Standard may be impacted down the road, too.

One of the coolest aspects of Magic: The Gathering is that the game can be, and is, played under a variety of formats, including, but not limited to, Standard, EDH, Brawl, Modern, Legacy, Vintage, Pauper, Draft, Sealed, Rainbow Stairwell, Two-Headed Giant, and Archenemy.
