Psalm 30 ~ Asking for Joy

Trials will come. God brings Joy. Pray for His Joy.

Psalm 30:5 “… Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning.”

Psalm 30

1 I will extol You, O Lord, for You have drawn me up and have not let my foes rejoice over me.

2 O Lord my God, I cried to You for help,
and You have healed me.

3 O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol;
You restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you His saints,
and give thanks to His holy name.

May the Lord bless you and all His people with strength and peace today. God’s power and voice as Creator & King invites us to ask for His strength and peace in our lives today.

Psalm 29:

1 Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.

3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord, over many waters.

Psalm 28 ~ Protecting Us

We can cry out to God with the expectation that He hears us. We need His help. He rescues and protects us. God is strong…He is our shield and our Shepherd King.

** Psalm 28

1 To you, O Lord, I call;
my rock, be not deaf to me,
lest, if you be silent to me,
I become like those who go down to the pit.

2 Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy,
when I cry to You for help,
when I lift up my hands
toward Your most holy sanctuary.

3 Do not drag me off with the wicked,
with the workers of evil,
who speak peace with their neighbors
while evil is in their hearts.

4 Give to them according to their work
and according to the evil of their deeds;
give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.

This Savior Story describes a piece of God keeping His promise to the world…the One who would save humanity from eternal separation from God. God also kept a personal promise to a man named Simeon. God reveals prayers for Israel through traditional Hallel Hymn/Song of Psalms 113-118. “Hallel” means PRAISE. GOD is the One who loves, is faithful, and rescues His people who call upon His Name. Hallelujah!

A hymn sung at Festivals, including Passover and a likely song/hymn Jesus and disciples sang before He went to pray in Gethsemane and the unfolding of His crucifixion and resurrection (Matthew 26:30).
Jesus praised God, His glory, and His everlasting, steadfast love, and proclaimed His love to the Father. Jesus offered praise knowing God's power would deliver him from ALL that he was about to face in the coming hours.
We Can Pray: God, we praise You for what You will do to protect Your people Israel in this moment of history.
