Global DJ Broadcast: Markus Schulz In Bloom 2020 (3 Hour All-Vocal Trance Mix)

Those of you who regularly follow Global DJ Broadcast will know that in recent years, I've introduced the Four Seasons series; which consists of one special mix during each quarter of the calendar, based on a particular theme. I always looked forward to the spring, where the flowers would blossom and make what we see more colorful. Marrying that idea with the bind of artist and vocalist led to the creation of the annual In Bloom mix.

My wish is that when we get out on the other side of this pandemic, we'll be able to go on those walks and take in the scenery around us. So as a way of saying thanks to you all again, on top of Community in Isolation and the live streams from the balcony, this year's In Bloom for the first time is a specially extended 3 hour edition - with loads of your favorite vocal tracks mainly across trance, but also a little bit of progressive and deep house too. And of course, a couple of cherished classics thrown in.

As the quarantine and self-isolation continues, Markus Schulz takes the opportunity to catch up on the latest tunes with a regular edition of Global DJ Broadcast this week, and also includes a few Coldharbour World Premieres on top. In the second hour, he is joined by good friend Jam El Mar for the guestmix.

Many thanks for your kind words with regards to the special 4 hour Community in Isolation Mix. The World Tour will feature as usual next week, and will showcase Markus' performance from Avalon in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve. And in two weeks, he will present the annual all-vocal trance journey In Bloom. Get your requests in for that one.

Hello from home in Miami. To say that I am so glad to be able to check in with a Global DJ Broadcast episode, playing music for you, would be an understatement. It doesn't matter who you are or where you are, we are all either quarantined, self-isolated and practicing social distancing. With anxiety high and so much uncertainty thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, music is an escape for every one of us.

I've always thought of this radio show in particular as playing for our entire family of fans - a bond mainly shared in an online world, and music is an inspiration and a healer in times where we have to be alone. Many of you sent emails and messages across social media asking if I could contribute something special. And the answer is yes.

So for this week, I put together a specially extended 4 hour edition of GDJB, titled Community in Isolation. It contains lots of current and recent favorites across trance, progressive and techno, with some mashups and distant classics thrown in too.

My hope is that in doing this for you, it provides the chance to just close out the outside noise and escape for a while, uniting in the sounds. Let's drown out the outside sound and take this journey together.

Global DJ Broadcast: Markus Schulz World Tour Brooklyn and Berlin (Mar 05 2020)

The monthly World Tour returns on Global DJ Broadcast, and on this occasion features a double dose of Markus Schulz's liveset sounds. He showcases highlights from two recent open to close solo sets, taking place at 99 Scott in Brooklyn, New York, and at ASeven Club in Berlin, Germany.

Markus heads to Australia for an Ultra Music Festival doubleheader in Sydney and Melbourne, and on next week's GDJB, he will announce details of his special Ibiza residency for this summer - and will include some Ibiza inspired tracks on the show to mark the occasion.

As Markus Schulz prepares for his contribution towards A State of Trance's 950 celebrations in Utrecht on Saturday, he checks in from Romania with a fresh studio edition of his own Global DJ Broadcast show. It includes Coldharbour World Premieres from Daxson and NOMADsignal, as well as new music from Armin van Buuren remixed by Cosmic Gate, Gabriel & Dresden, Arkham Knights, Ana Criado, Gai Barone and much more. Two of Coldharbour's own in Nifra and Fisherman will also be on ASOT 950 duty on Saturday, and they join the show for a back to back session in the guestmix.

We've reached that time of the month again to vacate the Global DJ Broadcast studio and take you all out on the road for company, chronicling Markus Schulz's recent travels and the sounds of his liveset performances through the World Tour. From the bright lights of Las Vegas, he heads across to Europe and touch down in one of our favorite cities, and one that he briefly called home.

When you think of the UK clubbing scene, the name of Ministry of Sound immediately comes to prominence. And Markus was fortunate again to pay tribute to this DJ art we love by playing another open to close solo set at the venue. Highlights from the night form this week's Global DJ Broadcast.

In the clubs this weekend, you can find Markus playing another open to close solo set at ASeven in Berlin, before returning to Bucharest to play at Kristal Club on Saturday. Friday is also a big release day, with Markus' new single with Adina Butar, titled Indestructible, available on all streaming platforms; and the second episode of the monthly GDJB companion mix, Destinations, will also be available to stream on Spotify.

Ahead of another legacy night for Markus Schulz at the famed Ministry of Sound nightclub, he finds himself in London this week, and checks in with another of his signature 2 hour studio Global DJ Broadcast journeys.

The show begins in sombre fashion, with a memorial tribute to Kobe Bryant, and the action picks up with the world premiere of Markus' brand new single alongside Adina Butar, titled Indestructible. Accompanied with Coldharbour premieres from Arkham Knights and Purple Stories, along with big new tunes from BT, Boris Brejcha, Tom Fall, Fehrplay, ANNA and more, there is plenty in store across his 2 hour blend of trance, progressive and techno.

In the clubs this weekend, you can find Markus playing open to close at Ministry of Sound in London on Friday, which will feature on next week's World Tour, and at the Marrakech Gianpula Village in Malta on Saturday.

Following last week's trip to Hawaii, Markus Schulz still finds himself there when putting together Global DJ Broadcast this week, preparing for a busy weekend. The show features new music from Above & Beyond, Sun Decade and UMEK, a big teamup between Dennis Sheperd, Roger Shah and Richard Durand, the return to Coldharbour for Purple Stories and more. In the second hour, Markus is joined by friends Gabriel & Dresden for the guestmix, helping them celebrate the release of their new album Remedy.

In the clubs this weekend, you can catch Markus playing for Dreamstate's Road to Beyond Wonderland at Time Nightclub in Costa Mesa, before heading to Austin to play at the Vulcan Gas Company on Saturday. And with solo sets in London and Berlin on the horizon, the busy times will continue.

Hello again. Another Christmas and New Year gift made and dedicated to you.

A project that was a year-long labor of love and completed during the holiday is proudly here to be presented - the annual Global DJ Broadcast Classics Showcase, part of the Four Seasons series.

Since an early age, one of the biggest loves and passions in my life has been the radio. In particular, I was so moved by the period between Christmas and New Year, when suddenly what day of the week it is didn't feel important, and this was reflected with all the stations playing classic songs.

My goal was to take this inspiration towards my own radio show, and the Classics Showcase has grown to become one of the most emotionally resonating and powerful episodes for fans each year, whether current, long-standing or lapsed.

And with the 2020 edition joining the ranks of several previous ones, marking the 15th Classics Showcase in total, I hope that it's just as memorable as those before, with many championed trance, progressive and techno tunes of our era, and also hidden gems which perhaps did not receive the recognition they deserved at the time.

The final World Tour outirng for 2019 takes palce on Global DJ Broadcast this week, and Markus Schulz couldn't let another year slip by without featuring one of the greatest settings dance music has to offer - the cathedral of Stereo in Montreal. He takes you back to Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, and highlights of his now traditional open to close solo set at the venue for the holiday.

We are getting into holiday mode on the broadcast, with a series of specials upcoming in the next few weeks. Next week will be our annual Year in Review, followed by a presentation of your most popular World Tour episode from 2019. A long trip to Asia inspired Markus Schulz to deliver one of his signature two hour Global DJ Broadcast journeys for this week's presentation. On the show, more showcase moments from his newly released In Search of Sunrise 15, standing alongside Coldharbour world premieres and the usual track features, contained within a journey across trance, progressive and techno. The mix also includes a memorial tribute to Fabio XB, who sadly passed away last weekend.

Fans in China can catch Markus on Saturday at the Electric Daisy Carnival. And for those if you in Sunnyvale, California, you can spend Thanksgiving Eve with him at Pure Lounge on Wednesday night.

The World Tour returns to Global DJ Broadcast this week, and returns to a special city in Markus Schulz's heart. It was one which was a regular fixture in the early years of the GDJB World Tour concept, but it has been a while since the recent showcase. Together with the folks at TrancefamilySF, Markus paid tribute to the art of DJing with one of his signature open to close solo sets live from the Midway, and the highlights are here.
