3. Were you given any indications as to why this was done ? Have the social media people told you what rules you broke or what it was that attracted their attention?

INTO THE HEART of DARKNESS...

The Congo must be one of the most difficult mission fields in Africa. The logistical complications, vast distances, endemic lawlessness and corruption, frustrate any travelers. When the great explorer, Henry Morton Stanley, travelled down the Congo River in the 19 th century, he encountered aggressive tribesmen and violent cannibals, and had over 60 battles – fire fights – to fight off attackers, many of whom were cannibals and slave traders. The Congo River inspired the original Heart of Darkness novel.

And that he ” globalized the human rights movement.” President Ronald Reagan pointed out that Jimmy Carter's foreign policy was Hypocritical as he targeted American allies who were accused of being authoritarian and infringing on human rights (in their fight to protect their countries from communist aggression) while Carter’s administration maintained friendly relations and channeled  vast amounts of US aid to the most totalitarian state on earth, the Soviet Union - where there was no respect for human rights at all!

On Christmas Eve 1914. a cease-fire was observed across the whole of the Western Front. This was the Christmas Truce of the First World War.

Our intensive three-week Great Commission Course includes daily Physical Training, regular hikes and mountain climbing, studying examples of excellence from Missions history and in-depth lectures and studies on various topics.

Day trips to historic sites, such as the oldest mission station in southern Africa, Genadendal, water sports, visits to Missions and a work party at a rural mission station.
 
Comprehensive, Intensive and Practical
Our intensive, boots-on-the-ground, body, mind and spirit practical training course for prospective missionaries involves lectures/presentations; guest speakers, Bible Drill sessions, Just a Minute debating skill games, Workshops, Practical’s, Vigorous PT sessions, Hikes, Outreaches which include, the Waterfront, Sea Point promenade, Somerset hospital, Tableview, Klipheuwel and to a Muslim community.

Church services in neighbouring communities and a TV interview with many of the participants of the GCC on LovingLifeTV and radio interviews on From the Frontline Podcast and Salt & Light Radio.

The word Church occurs only three times in the Gospels. Yet the terms Kingdom and Kingdom of God occur over 120 times in the Gospels. The overwhelming emphasis of the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ was a Kingdom message. We read that our Lord Jesus Christ preached the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, yet today it is generally the Gospel of Salvation which is preached.

The Gospel of Salvation, as preached in all too many churches and through much of the mainstream Christian media is mostly about me and how I can be blessed, healed, prospered, enriched, improved, saved from all the negative consequences of my bad choices and ultimately end up in Heaven.

The way the gospel is preached by all too many today, is something of a therapeutic self-help message where the emphasis is on me, with God playing a supporting role in how I can fulfill my dreams and attain my desires. However, the Gospel of the Kingdom of God is all about the King of kings and the Lord of lords. His Crown, His Coming, His Cross, His Great Commission, His plan and purpose for the nations and what we can do to be faithful subjects, servants and soldiers of His eternal Kingdom.

“But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33

9 July marks a monumental answer to prayer as South Sudanese celebrate the 13th anniversary of their successful struggle for self-determination and secession from the Arab North. It was a major victory against the oppressive Sharia law of the National Islamic Front government of Sudan.

On Father's Day, Sunday,16 June, at the age of 91, the father of South African Special Forces went to be with his Heavenly Father and has been called by his Commander in Chief to Higher Service. 
Jan Breytenbach had a distinguished career in the SADF.

Colonel Breytenbach not only founded the South African Special Forces (the Reconnaissance Commandos, or “Recces”) and 44 Parachute Brigade, but 32 Battalion as well. We praise God for a life well lived, for a courageous Christian soldier who made vital contributions to the development of the South African Defence Force and who played a major role in bringing about the defeat of the Soviet led communist forces in Angola.

In doing so he greatly contributed to the defeat of the Soviet Union and the winning of the Cold War. 
​Colonel Breytenbach was a good friend of the Mission and an energetic and enthusiastic witness for Christ.

The 'Parabats', as they were known, have been described as 'experts at foot work and small-war tactics.'

Anthony describes not only the day-to-day counterinsurgency operations of tracking and destroying SWAPO guerrillas, but also his experiences during the large SADF operations against Communist forces in Angola, such as Operation Carnation, Operation Protea and Operation Daisy.

When I was in my early 20’s – I had just turned my back on God and I remember saying this quite a lot because I thought it would be amusing if it happened but also because I was curious if you could influence people enough to let this happen.

I would ask this question very often; in most conversations I had & then theorize as to what the world would look like in different scenarios.

IF THE ROLES WERE REVERSED AND THE MAJORITY OF THE POPULATION WAS CRAZY, AS IN CLINICALLY PSYCHOTIC, WOULD THE NORMAL PEOPLE BE LOCKED AWAY IN INSTITUTIONS AND BE CALLED CRAZY AND WOULD THE CRAZY PEOPLE BE WALKING AROUND FREE BEING CALLED NORMAL?
