5 types of people to avoid to navigate the next chapter in life in peace and freedom, and not chaos.

If someone's constant complaining suffocates the joy, God is trying to nourish in you, then you must protect your inner sanctuary.

The second type is the manipulator. This is the most subtle and often the most painful. Manipulation does not come with shouting. It comes wrapped in words that sound like care, like duty, like obligation. Manipulators use guilt to control. They speak of love but demand submission. God NEVER weaponizes guilt. Therefore, every person who steals your freedom is damaging the gift God placed in you. 

3rd type

They remind you of old mistakes, not to heal you, but to diminish you. They keep you fixed in an outdated portrait of who you once were, refusing to see the grace God has formed in you.  Your past is not a weapon for others to wield.

4th Darkness Bearers

one who carries darkness. Not always in obvious ways, not always with dramatic sins, but with a presence that pulls the soul away from

the light. These are the people who normalize what leads you away from God, who diminish the seriousness of sin, who feed resentment, who speak lightly of what wounds the conscience, who invite you into anger, division, or habits that cloud the clarity of prayer.

A neighbor arrives not with warmth but with gossip that stains the mind. A relative comes not with compassion but with burdensome anger that pulls the spirit into old conflicts. 

5th Silent but just as deadly

This cold silence is not the silence of contemplation. It is the silence of indifference. It is the silence that neither builds nor comforts.

A relative who shows no interest in your well-being. A friend who never asks how your heart is. A companion who takes but never gives. 

Your soul is too close to eternity to be entangled in the shadows of others. Rise above the storms of others. You will live the later years as God intended, not in confusion, but in

clarity, not in exhaustion, but in grace.

Turmeric is famous for curcumin, a compound with powerful anti-inflammatory effects. However, curcumin is notoriously difficult for the body to absorb on its own.

• The Science: Adding a pinch of black pepper contains piperine, which has been shown to increase curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%.

• Goal: Reducing joint pain and systemic inflammation.

• How to add: 1/4 tsp turmeric powder + a crack of fresh black pepper.

Ginger contains gingerol, which has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It’s particularly effective at soothing the digestive tract and reducing "gut inflammation."

End of year roundup, reflecting on next chapter of my life, I am hopeful that my ordered steps will help someone else.

Truth comes in many forms.

What has been draining your spirit?

5 types of people to avoid to navigate the next chapter in life in peace and freedom, and not chaos.

An elderly woman once told a sister, "I love her, but I cannot breathe when she leaves. It is as though she blows out the candles in my house." The sister answered her with gentle truth, "Love her from a distance, for God did not ask you to sacrifice your peace to satisfy another's unrest."

If someone's constant complaining suffocates the joy, God is trying to nourish in you, then you must protect your inner sanctuary.

The second type, the manipulator. This is the most subtle and often the most painful. Manipulation does not come with shouting. It comes wrapped in words that sound like care, like duty, like obligation. Manipulators use guilt to control. They speak of love but demand submission. God NEVER weaponizes guilt. Therefore, every person who steals your freedom is damaging the gift God placed in you. 

3rd type

They remind you of old mistakes, not to heal you, but to diminish you. They keep you fixed in an outdated portrait of who you once were, refusing to see the grace God has formed in you.  Your past is not a weapon for others to wield.

4th Darkness Bearers

one who carries darkness. Not always in obvious ways, not always with dramatic sins, but with a presence that pulls the soul away from

the light. These are the people who normalize what leads you away from God, who diminish the seriousness of sin, who feed resentment, who speak lightly of what wounds the conscience, who invite you into anger, division, or habits that cloud the clarity of prayer.

A neighbor arrives not with warmth but with gossip that stains the mind. A relative comes not with compassion but with burdensome anger that pulls the spirit into old conflicts. 

5th Silent but just as deadly

This cold silence is not the silence of contemplation. It is the silence of indifference. It is the silence that neither builds nor comforts.

A relative who shows no interest in your well-being. A friend who never asks how your heart is. A companion who takes but never gives. 

Your soul is too close to eternity to be entangled in the shadows of others. Rise above the storms of others. You will live the later years as God intended, not in confusion, but in

clarity, not in exhaustion, but in grace.

No, I am not Catholic. But, this Pope Leo XIV is literally a "cousin". And has emphatically stated he is not MAGA.

As the first American-born pope, has said that his nationality means that people cannot say he "doesn't understand the United States," as they did with Pope Francis. This statement indicates that he feels his perspective is uniquely informed and that he will be more effective in his engagement with the US government.

He has expressed support for US bishops who took a stance against the Trump administration's deportation policies. By doing so, he is indirectly criticizing the administration while also encouraging other bishops to follow suit.

While Pope Leo XIV has stated that he wants to avoid "partisan politics," he has also said that he is not afraid to "raise issues" that are related to the Gospel. This creates a fine line that he seems willing to cross, and his comments on human dignity, immigration, and wealth inequality can be interpreted as a moral and religious critique of the administration's policies.

I am not a Communist nor a sympathizer of the autocratic regime in power in China. But, I admire the shade. Leaving this felon administration on hold listening to #Obama speeches is classic!! Even Sun Tzu could have anticipate the level of shade of the new age Chinese nor 50 cent for that matter. #pettylujah

The financial world is rife with sophisticated scams, and the latest threats are blending AI, Crypto, and dodgy financial engineering to create massive bubbles and devastating losses.

What You Need to Know:

• The AI/Crypto Bubble: A "circular financing" scheme is inflating valuations where suppliers and customers are investing in each other (like Open AI, Nvidia, CoreWeave). This echoes past market busts (like Lucent/Nortel) and is highly unstable.

• Rug Pulls are Raging: Meme coin scams (like the "Wolf of Wall Street" token scam) are increasing at an alarming rate—up 6,500% in value lost in early 2025 alone. If a coin promises massive, quick returns, it's a scam.

• Fraud is Global: International crime rings, often tied to remote IT or crypto mining, are actively stealing billions through fraud and human trafficking, proving that financial crime knows no borders. Even major institutions like BlackRock were reportedly fooled in a $500M scheme.

• Red Flag Rule: If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Never trust unsolicited investment advice, especially on social media or from anonymous developers.

How to Stay Safe (Do Your Own Research! #DYOR):

1. Be Skeptical: Scrutinize all investment offers. Scammers use AI to generate highly convincing fake contracts, emails, and deepfake endorsements.

2. Verify & Lock: Research the project and the team. Ensure the project's liquidity is locked for a significant period to prevent developers from "pulling the rug".

3. Invest Prudently: Focus on sustainable investments and avoid putting all your funds into a single, high-risk token.

Don't fear volatility or Change embrace it!

The Earthseed Rosary is a meditative tool designed to guide practitioners through the core tenets of Earthseed, fostering mindfulness, collective purpose, and adaptation in the face of Change. Each bead or segment invites reflection on an essential concept within the faith.

4. The Bead of Knowledge: Honor the pursuit of truth. Recite: “Knowledge is sacred. I seek, I question, I learn, and I adapt.”

A Trickster can take many forms, for good or not.  The seemingly random nature of "God as Change" highlights that change isn't always good or predictable. The Trickster's lessons are about adaptability, outsmarting a rigid system, and using cleverness to survive. This is precisely what Larkin, Lauren’s kidnapped daughter, Natasha’s Collab community, Lauren Olamina, and her followers must do to survive. The trickster's chaotic nature reflects the world's collapse, and the trickster's cleverness is a core quality of the characters who manage to survive it.

The key to getting to to getting to the stars is survival and strength here on Earth. Because in the words of a character in the book  "We can't continue to F@@K up here on Earth and expect to take this same s@@t out there.  We won't even get back out there until we figure it out down here. Chaos is, by definition, a state where old structures have broken down, making it the most fertile ground for transformation.

Here’s a quick guide to help you overcome the fear of isolation:

What's for Dinner...Turnip Greens I grew seasoned with smoke turkey...

• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

• 1 cup yellow onions diced
• 1/2 cup red bell pepper diced
• 1 tablespoon garlic minced
• 2 ½ cups chicken broth
• 1 tablespoon hot sauce (I like to use one high in vinegar)
• 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
• 1 fully-cook smoked turkey leg removed from bone and diced
• sea salt & cracked black pepper add as needed
• 2.5 pounds turnips greens washed & cut
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• liquid smoke 4-8 splashes

**I soaked my greens in baking soda and vinegar but did not use in the final dish. Get rid of worms you can and cannot see...**

• • Melt butter in a large stock pot.

• • Add onions and red peppers.

• • Cook until tender and then add garlic.
  • Cook garlic until fragrant and golden.
  • Stir in chicken broth, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and diced smoked turkey.
  • Taste broth and season with salt & black pepper. Broth should taste very well seasoned and delicious.
  • Let broth simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Add turnips greens to pot and allow them to cook down slightly.
  • Stir, cover and simmer for 1 hour (stirring occasionally)
  • Remove lid and taste to adjust seasonings again. (I usually add a bit more salt, black pepper and hot sauce)
  • NO, NO, NO...Stir in baking soda and liquid smoke. (this will help further lessen the bitterness). Cover and simmer for an additional 10- 20 minutes or until greens are tender to your liking.
  • Serve hot.

It was a complex and ultimately failed process in achieving full equality for Black Americans due to resistance from white Southerners, the rise of discriminatory laws (like Jim Crow), and a lack of sustained federal support. However, Reconstruction did lay the groundwork for future civil rights efforts with the passage of the Constitution’s 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.

—Essentially, Jim Crow was a system designed to maintain white supremacy and deny Black Americans their basic rights and equal opportunities after the Civil War and the failure of Reconstruction.

We have people like Amber Rose using their platform for attention and infamy in support of another former reality star who is loyal only to power and money. The other guy cares nothing about society, democracy, or anything passed his bank balance. Also, she using Trump so she can support her own transphobia and although he is a dangerous despot, he still is trending on social media and she wants to ride the wave.

And I’ve also decided that I’m gonna do four-week increments and I’m taking June off. Well mostly, I may have something new and fresh for Juneteenth.
