Before I answer that question, let's take a review of the nature of our creator and examine some of his creative ways. After all, we are talking about a god of detail and precision that has created the most amazing piece of work ever imagined.

Of course that's you and me who David said we were fearfully and wonderfully made.

Then take a snapshot of Jesus as he moves through his brief visitation to earth representing God himself. Remember everything he did was a reflection of what the father was doing. And every attitude that he had toward people was the exact image of his heavenly father.

For example, when he fed the 5000 which in all reality was about 25,000. And he did it with a few fish and some loaves of bread. Jesus was so detailed that he ordered his disciples to collect what was left over.

Think about the nature of the father after supplying food for 25,000 people to be concerned about 12 basket fulls at the end of all that miraculous multiplication of food. Our God never misses a lick. He's the original detail person. He always has a plan.

So here's the question. Do you think God has a plan for you when he created and sent you to your earthly home? I do. Because it's his nature he's a detail planner.

Check out Hebrews 12 and the first verse today. And as we do this, ask some questions of our heavenly father about our destiny. After all, he said that if we would ask, he would answer and give us the wisdom that we need for the moment and for the days ahead..

Hebrews 12:1 gives us the secret of actually finishing our race toward our intended goal or destiny that God is already designed for us.

That gives us hope that we can actually fulfill the will of God while on earth.

Now, there's a new word for your vocabulary. Davidized! You'll find the meaning of my new word in Acts 13:36, the scripture tells us that David fulfilled all the purposes of God in his generation. So there you go. What are the purposes of God for you and me so that when our spirit returns to our father, we will have completed our mission in victory?

I find it unusual that so many Christian believers who love Jesus with all their hearts feel intimidated to compare themselves with Jesus. The Scriptures clearly tell us that he is not only our elder brother, but He is the pattern Son.

This is what the apostle Paul meant when he told those he was mentoring to follow him as he followed Christ. The pattern is always Christ, yet we are hesitant to compare ourselves to Christ. We're stuck in limbo.

Look what it means to have the Jesus mindset.

Jesus said he could do nothing by himself without the Father's approval and direction. John 12:49.

He was also clear that he did all of this to please his father. John 8:29.

And in Philippians 2:8, the scriptures tell us that he became obedient to the Father's will and went to the cross.

Note this: his obedience was not mechanical but relational. It was not coerced but given freely.

To have the mind of Christ is to have those attributes in your lifestyle: humility, obedience, and the passion to please the Father.

How do we obtain this lifestyle of the Jesus mindset? By absorbing the life and nature of our father through his word and spirit. We do that by receiving and believing what we hear from the Holy Spirit as we meditate upon his living word.

Dare I say that you could say the same of us as they did of Jesus?

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten Son of the Father. We are not Jesus, the savior. However, we are a son and daughter in his likeness and favored of God, the father.

Faith is consistently demonstrated in a persistent trust in the fathers promises, causing us to press through the prevailing doubts that confront us. Faith is that mysterious ingredient buried in the word of God that, as we feast on that word, it becomes a part of our deep fiber.

Check out Hebrews 11:6; without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and he is the rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Think about the faithfulness of our creator for just a moment. He requires the substance, or, if you will, the action of what is called faith. In simple terms, faith is an action verb. When you have it and exercise it, you act upon what you believe.

If God our Father does require faith before we can encounter and fellowship with him, then do you suppose he would not supply that faith for us to exercise?

The correct answer here is yes, he would. 

The scriptures tell us that every man or woman created by God has been given a measure of faith. So there you go, he's put faith within our framework. It's built-in, ready to go to work as soon as it's stirred up and brought by the word of God.

Unbelief and doubt will keep you out of your promise if you don't exercise and use the God-given faith that he has planted deep within your spirit.

According to Romans 10:9 and 10, the faith that is in us is ignited into action when the word of God is preached. The dynamics of our faith then become evident as we speak it forth into reality.

Jesus gave us example after example of speaking faith out of our spirits and watching the natural world around us change.

He told us to say, "To the mountain, be removed, and cast into the sea."

He spoke to the tree, telling it to dry up and die because it was not bearing fruit.

Let the word of God stir your faith today, despite doubts or fears or unbelief. And with the faith that God has given you, march through the resistance of unbelief to victory.

The message of the coming Christ contained in the gospel is so simple to understand that even a child can receive and believe. The gospel that we love so well is the story of the promised Messiah, which we know to be Jesus Christ.

The Old Testament Saints and the prophets did not have the details, even though they spoke of his coming. When we look back at the prophecies of King David, it all makes sense to us because we have the revelation of who Jesus Christ is. Yet David and the other prophets who spoke of him spoke by faith that God was true and faithful to perform his promise.

In the age we live in, the gospel has taken on extra baggage in the form of theology and church doctrine that add nothing of importance to the most important message the world will ever know. Which is that Jesus did come, but why did he come, and what is the benefit of his coming?

When Paul began to lay out his revelation of Jesus Christ in the book of Romans, in the first chapter, second verse, he made this comment. My commission is to preach the good news.

Think about that for a moment, the gospel is good news. Jesus Christ came to set us free from the bondage of sin and death. And by his sacrifice on the cross and the witness of his resurrection from the dead. He proved that he was and is the Christ.

He sealed the deal between man and God by taking his blood to the throne room in his ascension to the Father. When he did that, he took us with him, and now we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. (EPH 2:6)

The gospel of Jesus Christ gave us a new address, a place of abode where our Father dwells.

The scriptures tell us that there is a name above every other name given in this world. It's that name that we have committed our eternity to. That is the name we have gone into my faith, and when we did, we found the promise to be true: we would receive eternal life.

Scriptures tell us that a good name is rather to be chosen then find Silver.

The reputation and respect that a corporate name or brand name has are the only things that keep a company in business. If the customer loses confidence in the company's name, the company will go out of business.

The Scriptures tell us that if we call upon the name of the Lord, we shall be saved. That Greek word is Zodso, which means saved, healed, delivered, and made whole.

In Proverbs 10:18, we are told that the righteous can run into the name of the Lord and be safe, because it is a strong tower of defense against the enemy. (my paraphrase.)

We can call upon that name in the day of trouble, and when we do, the scriptures promise us that God will rescue us and bring us help.

That name that is above all names will drive the devil out and call the angels in. That will heal the sick and raise the dead. That name is the only defense we need and the only key to eternity that opens the door to salvation.

The one who carries that name was awarded it by his sacrifice on the cross, his ascension to heaven, as he brought his blood, his perfect blood, to the Father to seal the covenant once and for all.

Isaiah 9:6 gives us an idea of what that name includes: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace.

And here's something we need never to forget.

All of this that we have received will never never end.

At the very center of the subject and the exercise of worship is to understand honor. Because you cannot worship anything or anyone that you don't honor. There are many ways that we honor the Lord, the first being that we obey his word and live by his commandments.

To be true worshipers of God is more than singing with our hands lifted to happy songs or even songs of Thanksgiving and praise. Before that takes place, we become obedient to truth because Jesus is truth itself.

The scriptures tell us in Psalm 100:4 that we enter into the presence of the Lord with praise. We can only praise the Lord when we've had a revelation of who he is and what he has given us through his sacrifice on the cross.

When that revelation comes, and we also see the completion of the covenant when he rose from the dead and took his blood to the Father. It's then that we can have a thankful heart, and with that, true worship is possible.

The scriptures tell us in John 4:24 that God is a Spirit, and that they who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. We must have a revelation of the truth of who God is and what he has done in us and for us.

You cannot worship God in Spirit and truth without a revelation of the cross and how his sacrifice dealt with sin once and for all, and brought us back to the Father.

As you learn this aspect of the first coming of Christ, you can then begin to comprehend the power of the blood that was taken to the Father when he ascended on high and gave gifts to men. When the Father received the blood that Jesus shed for us, it sealed the deal.

We will never go back to bondage again because once and for all, the price was paid for our deliverance and freedom, and we are now seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

With that revelation, we can praise the Lord and worship in truth and spirit.

One of the many verses in the Scriptures that I love concerning this subject is 1 Corinthians 14:6. In this passage, Paul is discussing the gift of tongues, speaking in the heavenly language, in public worship. He goes on to say, How can I encourage and bless you unless I come to you speaking by Revelation, by knowledge, by prophesying, or by teaching.

This is not the place to discuss how we received the canonized scripture called our Bible. At some point around 300 A.D., a group of Christian scholars, referred to as theologians, decided that enough was enough. That's all the revelation we need, so they closed the gate to spiritual revelation..

This short discussion tonight is focused on you and me hearing the voice of God as he reveals the deep and wonderful mysteries that are found in this beautiful Christian life that we have.

If you only know Christ and the Father through reading the pages of the Bible, without knowing the author of those pages, it's simply dead works. When you cultivate an ongoing relationship with the Holy Spirit, who leads us to Christ and the Father, then, when you open the book, it becomes alive with living Revelation.

You can read John 3:16 until your eyes become blurry and you never see beyond the paper and the ink, until the Holy Spirit opens the Revelation of why he came and died on the cross to redeem us back to the Father.

Yes, divine Revelation is for every believer through the power of the Holy Spirit. It is that Revelation that illuminates the kingdom of God and gives us divine insight into how to function within it.

Don't allow anyone to discourage you from seeing past the accepted norms of church, life, or spiritual activity in the world you may be in. There is always something beyond the veil we haven't seen yet.

It comes to us by Divine Revelation.

The Scriptures abound with big visions, dreams, and prophecies of greatness. From the very first statements in the book of Genesis to the last syllables of the book of Revelation, the Holy Spirit lays out God's plan. God's big plan for things so great, wonderful, and magnificent that the human mind cannot comprehend the scope of it.

His first statements concerning the creation of mankind describe his new creation as winners, not losers. God used descriptions such as "subdue" and "conquer" to develop and fill the whole earth with winners just like themselves.

Then came the great lie in the garden concerning the destiny and future of mankind. The deceiving liar convinced Adam and Eve that they were not winners, overcomers, and conquerors. As a matter of fact, your creator has lied to you. He is trying to keep you from knowing the truth, so go ahead and eat of the tree, and you will become wise.

It was at that point that the human race lost its greatness.

The return to our greatness began immediately as the Father instituted sacrifice and the covering of sin so that we might have fellowship, even though it was limited.

Through the centuries, following the prophets who came and went, leaving us a pathway to follow toward the coming of the Christ.

The events that we know so well in the New Testament we're total mysteries even to the prophets as they spoke of the coming Messiah. The apostle Paul tells us that it was a mystery hidden from generation to generation that Christ would die on the cross and rise from the dead for our justification and for our return to the greatness that the Father created us for.

John 14:12 says it this way: he that believes it on me the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.

Think about it, dear friends, we have been returned to greatness.

Among the many streams of spiritual truth that are woven through the Testaments is that of the ability for men and women to see into a realm that we call the spiritual. The apostle Paul refers to it when he talks about the two worlds, the natural world that we live in, and the spiritual world that God and all the spiritual beings, including angels, that he has created live in.

Scriptures also tell us that the spiritual world, which is referred to as the unseen world, is more real than the natural world. ( 2 COR 4:18)

This is where the message that I am speaking of tonight starts getting pushed back for much of the church because it's so hard to believe that this world we live in is not everything there is.

This is where we live, we see it, we taste it. We walk on the ground and live in our houses. This must be all there is because this is all I can see and touch.

The reality is when you come into Christ, you have become a new creature and now your citizenship is in heaven, which is in the eternal, the unseen, the spiritual.

Scripture tells us in Hebrews 4:14 that we need to exercise our spiritual senses so we would know good from evil or the natural world from the spiritual world.

I invite you to take a journey with me and discover how to see the end of that world that God has prepared for us to spend eternity in, just beyond what we call a veil that keeps our eyes from seeing the other world. There are amazing creatures that God has provided for our benefit.

Hebrews 1:14 says that God has given us angels who will guide and guard us.

There is an Old Testament story I love in 2 Kings 617 concerning Elijah and his servant who were surrounded by the army of the enemy. The servant was fearful for his life while at the same time the old profit was chilling out, just enjoying another fine evening at the campfire.

After the servant, wind, and moaned long enough, the prophet got weary and asked the Lord to open his eyes so he could see the army of angels and the chariots and horses that were there to defend them against their enemy.

When the servant saw the Army of God, just like you and me, when it would happen to us was beyond amazement.

Let this prayer be your prayer: LORD OPEN MY EYES THAT I MAY SEE THE ANGELS THAT MAKE UP GOD'S ARMY ALL AROUND ME.

There is a story that Jesus tells us in the book of Matthew about the master who went on a long trip, but before he left, he gave a certain amount of money to three of his servants.

If you've been in Sunday school very long, you know the story well, but for those who haven't heard it yet, let me recap.

The master of a certain business was taking a long trip, and before he went, he gave three of his servants some Roman talents.

To one servant, he gave $4.5 million in today's value

To the second servant, he gave $1.8 million in today's value

To the third one, he gave $900,000

Keep in mind, one talent was 20 years' wages for the common labor of that day. Not a small sum of money.

As we focus on the story, we realize the master had a destiny planned for these three servants. In other words, he had something good in mind for them.

The outcome of the story is that the two servants with the five talents and the two talents multiplied their gift many times over. But the third one had a problem and buried his valuable 20 years' worth of wages in the ground.

Why did he do that?

Because he didn't understand his master's desire to bless him with such abundance, it would change his life forever.

The Scriptures tell us that man was afraid of his master, so he buried his talent.

Until you get to know the father and how much he loves you and has plans for you for good and not for evil, you will never be able to enjoy the benefits of his gifts and his blessings.

So many Christians, who love Jesus, have no clue how good the Father is to them concerning his plans for their success.

Ephesians 13 tells us that he has blessed us with all spiritual blessings through Christ Jesus in heavenly places.

That's what your destiny is, and it's all already been paid for and set in motion.

Get to know your father and enjoy his gifts and blessings.

Revelation from the Lord often comes to me at the strangest times and in peculiar ways. Recently, I was working my way through the Repair of an old clothes dryer, trying to bring it back to life.

When I got to the heating element and checked it out, it had no breaks in it, and the ohm meter said it was good. So I put it together and gave it a test run.

It barely warmed up.

So I did what all up-to-the-minute and hip people do, I dialed up ChatGPT and asked it. That's when the word resistance came up. It seems that as the heating element gets older, it builds up resistance, preventing the electricity from flowing through as it should.

Well, now it's here, the Holy Spirit gives me the inside baseball on the subject of resistance and how, as we become wary and well doing after laboring or walking the Christian walk, we can resist the Holy Spirit without even realizing it.

The Scriptures do give us instructions on whom to resist and what not to resist.

For instance, if we resist the devil, he will flee from us.

You asked, How do I resist the devil?

Nancy Reagan, President Reagan's wife, told us how to resist drugs: say no, and things will change. So it is with the devil, you have the power to resist by saying no, I am not going your way, I'm following Christ.

You say it with authority. You say it with faith. And you stand your ground upon the name of Jesus in the blood of the cross.

We also resist temptation. In Matthew, when we pray what is known as the Lord's prayer, we are asking that we not be led into temptation. According to that direction, I would say that the best way to resist temptation is through prayer.

The scriptures tell us in James 4:6 that God resists the proud.

Here's a tip. Don't become proud. Keep yourself humble before the Lord, and he will smile on you and give you favor.

Several years ago, I was introduced to my birthday angel. It happened to be on my birthday month and I called him "my I am angel." This particular angel was sent with me from the Father's heart at my conception. The duty of this specific angel can be found in Job 33:23. 

In this verse, Job tells us there is an angel that speaks to us in our night visions as we rest upon our beds. Psalms 139:16 tells us we have a book of life that God has written about us. It's my conviction that the angel that speaks to us reads us out of that book of life, reminding us of who we are and what our purpose is on this earth.

That's why I call him my "I am" angel." When he speaks, it sounds something like this.

I am the righteousness of God in Christ.

I am a son of God.

I am a joint air with Christ in God.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I have the fullness of the godhead bodily dwelling in me.

I have eternal life now.

I can do what he says I can do.

I have been invited into the throne room of God.

And so it goes into the night, and I awake refreshed and ready to face a new day in Victory.

If you listen closely and take note, you'll find that your angel is also speaking, encouraging words to you as you rest at night.

I am often asked how to prepare for spiritual encounters, such as visitations from the Holy Spirit that include revelations from the scriptures, which often involve angelic interaction.

It's not uncommon to hear people say Well, if it happens, it happens. It's all up to God. I understand the reasoning because of the overemphasis that often happens concerning the sovereignty of God. By that, I mean a teaching that puts everything in God's hands and nothing in yours.

The Scriptures are filled with guidance on how to enter into His presence to find answers and gain understanding. Among those scriptures, you'll find instruction to seek the Lord both early and often. We're also instructed to pray with faith that he will answer us.

Many of our spiritual heroes in the Scriptures fasted, which meant missing meals and waiting upon the Lord with anticipation that He would answer them.

In the book of Daniel 10:12, it is mentioned that the prophet Daniel set himself aside so that he might understand and gain spiritual insight into what was happening around him.

The angel that came with the answer told him that from the day you set your heart to understand, I heard your words, and I have come because of your words.

If you long to go up into a higher spiritual realm, where you can hear and see with greater clarity than you set your heart to understand and choose your words that will bring the angelic answer.

There is an interesting scripture that we should take some time to meditate upon today. It says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Here's where the problem begins when it comes to training and teaching people how to walk in the way of the Lord. That verse is often rephrased by your local mentor teacher when they say Train up a child in the way that I have been trained, because that is the best way.

The teenager David, who was destined to become king, met his first giant on someone else's battlefield. King Saul wanted him to do it his way with his armor. Make a note that Saul's technique at fighting giants had not worked yet. So far, they were still under the domination of the enemy.

Young David comes along with a new idea, and they laughed at him.

Take note when you fight your giant, be sure you use the skills that God has given you, not someone else's. You will be accused of being odd, or perhaps even unscriptural, by those who are religious or stuck in the past.

You may hear them say This is the way we've always done it.

This is a new era in the development of the kingdom of God. And the only way that your giant will be taken down is by the tools, the gifts, and the skill that he has given you personally. 

Every one of us has been given a weapon that will bring our giants to the ground.

Identify the weapon that you have exercised until it becomes worthy of battle.

When you face your giant, don't listen to the gainsayers, the critics, and the religious. God has victories for you that you have only dreamed of. Today is that day of victory.

The average life span of an eagle is about 70 years. That is a long time for a bird of prey to live. However, at about 40 years of age, the Eagle has some life-threatening things he has to deal with. His decisions now will determine if he gets a second chance at life.

By now, the Eagle's beak is old and useless, and their claws are worthless for hunting. Add to that the feathers that are old and thick and not doing their job anymore.

The Eagle decides to fly to the high mountain, where he begins his renewal process. He beats his beak against the rocks until it falls off, and another grows in his place.

He scratches until his claws fall away, and new ones come in their place. When that is done, he pulls all of his feathers out, and a fresh new crop of feathers comes back in.

This process takes 150 days.

Then, a new life begins for another 30 years.

The price the Eagle pays is the same one that you and I face as we process through the different stages of revelation and maturity into the place God called us.

If we don't have those agonizing challenges of removing the old, we will never receive the new and fresh in its place. Old habits. Old family traditions and immature revelations of who God is and who we are.

The Holy Spirit will point out those things to us if we expect to have that next season of life and spiritual growth.

If we don't do these things, we become chickens, and you know what happens to them at dinnertime.

Don't let this society or the enemy of your soul eat you for dinner.

Happy anniversary, Dr. George and Arlis, number 56. How did the number get so high so quickly? It seems like only yesterday, as they say, that this all started.

Many of you have heard my favorite story of how the Lord led me to meet my darling wife.

A small church in a remote town on the coast of Washington state. Sunday dinner and a picture on the mantle turned my life around and set me on the course of 56 years of joyful marriage.

As you know, if you've been married for a season, some of that joy has to be acted out by faith when you go through struggles and adjustments. Put the investments you give to a marriage more than compensate for the rewards that come back to you over your lifetime.

God said it is not good for a man to be alone oh how true that is.

Love and marriage is the foundation of a nation. Because God-centered families are based on the commitment of a husband and a wife to each other, children who obey their parents strengthen their communities and their nation.

Ephesians 5:21, the apostle Paul tells us, out of our reverence for Christ, to be supportive of each other in love.

Thank you, Jesus, for loving families because of the love a man and a wife have for each other.

Understanding the Trinity, a divine mystery, requires a revelation that only the Holy Spirit can bestow. In our quest to comprehend this profound truth, we are often confronted with the diverse opinions of gospel teachers. How can our natural reasoning, shaped by our western minds, grasp the concept of three in one and one in three?

In the 17th chapter of the Gospel of John, Jesus prayed: “so that they all may be one just as you father are in me and I and you that they also may be one in us so that the world may be leave and be convinced that you have sent me.” This prayer is a profound revelation of the unity within the Trinity.

Indeed, this is one of the most potent verses in the Scriptures, a testament to the power and unity of the Trinity. Yet, we often find ourselves walking in a lack of understanding, unaware of the immense power and unity that is available to us. 

Consider this: just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one, a unique blend of unity and diversity, so too can we, in our spiritual journey and love for the Father, become one with them. This unity is not just a concept, but a reality we can experience.

Then Jesus goes on to pray that we would be one with the father, the son, and the Holy Spirit. This unity creates a divine community, a 'four in one' relationship, which is truly amazing.

You and I because of redemption have been taken back into the heart of the father, and we are one with the father son of a Holy Spirit. Wow.!

Gone gone, gone gone. Yes, my sins are gone.

Buried in the deepest sea. Yes, that's good enough for me.

I shall live eternally, praise God; my sins are

Some of you may have sung that song in Sunday school, but I know I did.

It took a few years to understand the Father's love for us and what Christ did on the cross to realize the full meaning of that simple song.

Yesterday was trash day in our neighborhood, and as I drove away from my house this morning, a gray can was in front of every house as far as I could see. 

In the spirit of God spoke to me and said empty, trash, cans, son. 

I knew he reminded me of the power of the cross to remove the stain of sin and the curse that went with it. 

The phrase from that song Buried in the Deepest Sea. It refers to the scriptures that tell us God has buried our sins in the sea of his forgetfulness, never to be remembered against us anymore.

Just think about the mystery of how God could empty our trashcan and make us worthy of becoming children of the living God.

In Matthew 6 from the Passion Bible, Jesus teaches the disciples how to pray.

We call this the lord's prayer. We should refer to it as the disciple's prayer.

Our beloved Father, dwelling in the heavenly realms,

May the glory of your name be the center on which our lives turn.

Manifest your kingdom realm,

And cause your every purpose is to be fulfilled on earth.

We acknowledge you as our provider of all we need each day.

Forgive us the wrong as we have done as we are self release, forgiveness to those who have wronged us.

Rescue us every time we face tribulation, and set us free from evil.

For you are the king who rules with power and glory forever.

Amen.

Then Jesus goes on in the 14th verse

And when you pray, make sure you forgive the fault of others so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you.

But if you withhold forgiveness from others, your Father with holes forgiveness from you.

What you have just read is part of the bylaws of the kingdom of God that Jesus came and established. As we learn to live by the principles of the kingdom, that we belong to, it keeps expanding and growing every day.

There is no reverse on the kingdom of God.

Take a snapshot of Genesis 2:7. There, we see Adam's creation when God breathed the breath of life into him, and he became a living soul. That was the beginning of God's new creation of mankind.

God commissioned this new creation to take what they had in the Garden of Eden to the rest of God's creation, including the cosmos. Adam and Eve were created in God's image with the ability to reproduce their kind into God's newly created world. The great tragedy of Adam and Eve's failure in the garden was that it short-circuited God's plans to manifest himself and the very spirit of heaven into this created world.

Over the following centuries, there were several restarts where God gave mankind the opportunity to do it again. The most obvious to us is when the flood came, and Noah and his family had the opportunity that Adam and Eve had to reproduce, subdue, and bring heaven to Earth.

Again, at the Tower of Babel, where the nations were scattered, he gave Israel the unique distinction of taking this same commission to the world. He took them as his special children so they might reproduce as Adam and Eve were supposed to do on Earth.

However, the children of Israel kept failing their commission, and because God was merciful, he gave them many opportunities to get it right.

This is why God was manifested in the flesh of Jesus of Nazareth, who became the sacrifice that redeemed the world back to God. The whole human race had been disconnected because of rebellion and the breaking of covenants. 

When Jesus rose from the dead and ascended to the Father with his blood, the entire human race was released from the curse that had been brought to them by Adams's fall. The gospel that we know and love has been given to us so that we might declare to the world. They are free to come home. Dad's not mad at you.

Are you looking for a boat to go fishing? I suggest you get one that can withstand a storm. Do your research to see if it was made to resist High Winds and rough Waters. It needs to be constructed strong enough to withstand the pressures and dangers of the storm.

In this life that God has placed us in, he promised us that there would be storms in our lives. However, he spoke piece to us when he said to be unafraid, for I will never leave you, nor for the sake of you.

I love the story of Peter walking on the water with Jesus in Matthew 14. The disciples were caught in a sudden storm and had rowed the boat four miles in the middle of the night, trying to rescue themselves from danger. Suddenly, they saw what they thought was a ghost walking by and cried out in fear. 

It was then they heard the familiar voice of Jesus when he said fear not. It is I been on afraid.

One thing you can guarantee about a storm. It always brings fear at some level.

Because you and I were made in God's image, we have built-in storm-resistant capabilities. We were born for the storm.

One thing to remember about the storm is that it offers great opportunities for miracles and unusual supernatural events.

In the storm, Jesus showed the disciples a level of supernatural power they had never seen when he said to the storm hush be still.

They were fearful and deeply amazed at the same time.

It was in the storm that Jesus appeared. He challenged Peter to enter into a supernatural realm, which he had never experienced before when he walked on the water.

Because we are supernatural beings created in God's image, we have been born for the storm, and some of us are storm chasers.

We have discovered that it's in the storm where our most incredible faith and revelation come from.

It's a simple question that I am asking today, and by doing so, I am bringing our attention to what it means to walk in the light as he is in the light. When we learn the practice of being in his presence as a daily habit, we know what it means to know Jesus in this present time.

Too many Christians know the Jesus who walked the shores of Galilee, healing the sick and feeding the 5,000. They have gone to Sunday school and learned where he was born and how he died. They are well-versed in the Jesus of the past.

On the other hand, a disproportionate number of people study the Jesus of the future—the one who is coming someday to rescue them and take them to heaven. There are lengthy and repetitive teachings on the end times and what will happen someday, somewhere, somehow.

It's not unusual for Christians to tell me. Oh yes, Pastor, someday when we get to heaven, we'll have joy, be at peace, and be healed.

The challenge that the Holy Spirit gives us is to know Jesus of the present. The Scriptures tell us plainly today is the day of salvation.

That word salvation includes everything that Christ has done for us to be saved, healed, delivered, and walk in the power of the Spirit.

This is what it means to know Jesus in the present, To have fellowship with him, and to see him face-to-face often.

There was a historical Jesus who lived and died in Jerusalem and produced redemption for us. Thank God for that.

There is a Jesus who will return someday, as the Scriptures promise. Thank God for that.

However, God chose to give you and me the responsibility and privilege of bringing the gospel to this generation, and because of that, we must know him now.

The revelation of Jesus Christ and what he has done for us and through us is the greatest discovery you will ever dig out of the Scriptures. That revelation does not come from the wisdom or the intelligence of human thinking; it comes from the revelation of the Holy Spirit to our spirit.

Heavenly gold has to be mined out of the Scriptures just like earthly gold is dug out of the dirt and rocks. And as it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual that heat must be put to the rocks and the dirt to refine the gold so that it may be useful.

Heavenly gold is no different. To receive revelation from the scriptures you read, you must apply the heat of the glory of God's presence to understand the hidden secrets of God's kingdom.

Isaiah 45:3 tells us that God will give us the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of the secret places.

Psalms 91 says that we must dwell in the secret place of the most high to receive the revelation of those hidden places.

Where is the secret place of the most time? It is in the presence of the Lord as you seek his face in prayer, worship, scripture, meditation, and the Fellowship of the Saints. All those practices will produce a place of glory, where those hidden riches in the Scriptures can produce gold treasures of revelation that will impact your life for eternity.

The key ingredient in living a life of faith is exercising the muscle called obedience to the word of God that has been revealed to you. The revelation of the word of God is different than the information in the Bible. The scriptures tell us that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17

When Jesus said to those around him," he that hath ears to hear, let him hear." He was referring to that inner ear, the ear of the spirit, which gives revelation of the word of God. When you hear with that ear and respond to what you hear, faith is born in your heart, and you receive what God has promised in the word that you Heard.

Romans 10: 8-10 illustrates this action of faith: when you hear and believe, you receive salvation and eternal life. From that point, your faith grows stronger each time you will be what you hear with your heart, that inner ear.

When we have that foundation of trust in the Lord, we know that when the enemy comes against us to challenge us, God challenges the challenger, and because of that, we win by default.

Isaiah 59:19 declares that when the enemy comes in, like a flood, the Lord raises up a resistance against that enemy.  King James's version of that verse says he raises a standard against him. The standard is the battle flag of an army showing their colors. When God shows up with his angel army, the battle is over. He challenges the challenger, and because of that, the one who challenged us never shows up to court, and we win our case by default.

That is what the life of faith is based on: trusting in the Lord with all of our heart, and not leaning to our own understanding, but in all of our ways acknowledging him, and he will bring it to pass.

What's wrong with this picture? The Protestant Reformation happened around 1500 years ago. It was a separation from the Catholic Church based on Martin Luther's revelation that the "just shall live by faith" and not by the rule of a church or under the control of a pope. Today, 30,000+ different labels of groups of people are trying to express what a Protestant is. 

That's a lot of heavy bondage on the body of Christ.

Unfortunately, human nature was still in control, and it wasn't long until the protestants wanted to kill the suspected heretics just like the Catholics had done.

It was the same Spirit that Jesus contented with when the disciples came to him in Mark 9:38 and complained that someone outside their camp was casting out devils. They're anxious question to Jesus was we've got to do something about that.

Jesus had quite a simple rule about unity. He answered them and said well, fellas, if they're not against us, they must be for us, so leave them alone.

In 1906, there was an outbreak of the Holy Spirit in Los Angeles, California, on Azusa Street. A black man named William Seymour received the Holy Spirit while he listened to reports of it in a Bible school in Texas. 

Coming to Los Angeles, the Spirit of God fell on them, and a prayer meeting in their home, eventually moving into an old Mission on Azusa Street.

It was like the shot that was heard around the world.

The outpouring of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in tongues and all the gifts of the Spirit that were manifested, literally went around the world from that humble mission house.

Unfortunately, human nature took over again, and the first separation happened in the Pentecostal movement when the black brothers and sisters were shoved aside. They started a fellowship called the church of God in Christ.

From that point in time, it seemed that labels began to be important to the Spirit-filled folks. What started with one outpouring to describe Pentecostalism has splintered into literally hundreds, if not more, of labels that people live under.

At some point, if we're going to see the kingdom of God advance, we must have one label: Jesus Christ and him alone.

True fellowship is with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Everything else is secondary.

Why do some people in a large or small gathering who are listening to the word of God not hear the same thing? After a life of pastoring multiple churches, it's still beyond frustrating that someone can sit in the same congregation, hear the same message, and miss the point completely.

I conclude that the problem is not in the seed that's sown; according to the Book of Mark, the fourth chapter, it's the ground that makes the difference.

Jesus repeated this phrase many times: "He that has ears to hear, let him hear." That tells me that everyone has the ability to hear, but they also make choices about whether to hear.

In the thousands of church services I have conducted, someone has a breakthrough, a revelation of heaven, a divine encounter, yet the one next to them walks out the back door, angry at God and the church.

Jesus chose 12 disciples to train and leave the kingdom of God in their hands. These 12 disciples sat with him after the mass crusades, and he taught them the secrets and mysteries that no one else heard. The large crowds didn't get it, but he gave the inside revelation to the disciples.

Judas was present at all of these private meetings, where the Son of God opened up the mysteries of heaven, yet he missed them completely. Wisdom and revelation of the kingdom of God and his purpose for us continually come from the heavenly realms. 

It's like digging for gold, these pockets of wisdom and revelation. The most important tool we have to dig out this precious gold of heaven is the instrument of "believing faith."

To receive anything from the treasures of heaven, it takes a believing face in God and his word. The Scriptures tell us that without faith, it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to him must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Wisdom and revelation of the kingdom of God are there. Get your big leaving face out and find it.

HERE'S A FLASH FOR YOU! You can expect change.

It is part of God's nature that he injected into everything he created. If it's not growing, it's dying. You can see that principle working in your garden or the landscape around your house. What isn't rooted in healthy soil is on the way to being a dead plant.

The plan of God has continued to grow in the long journey from Adam and Eve's creation in the Garden of Eden to the present. The parts of that plan that lost their roots in every generation of past history died and disappeared.

Today, we face the same challenges that every person in the body of Christ had to deal with: Do we grow and develop into God's will and exhibit his plans, or do we fade away into the shadows of history?

What's next for us as people of God and those who believe in the plan he laid out for the human race? It's a twofold answer. First of all, it's an individual choice. What will you do with the challenges? God has given you as a believer.

Secondly, people from all over the world have to make the same choice.

If those communities of believers continue to obey the direction that the Holy Spirit has given them as part of the living organism of Christ on earth, they will see Christ's revelation unfold for them.

However, those communities of believers that stagnate and turn into a religious denomination will not become stones to walk on so that we may progress. Still, they will become stones to trip over and hinder the Progressive progress that the body of Christ has before it.

Sorry, you don't get the details in advance. That's between you and the Holy Ghost. That's why it's called the walk of faith. That's what keeps the Holy Spirit as the leader of the pack.

The scriptures clearly tell us that if we ask anything in prayer believing, we shall receive it. That being true because the Scriptures do not lie, how many times can we ask for the same thing without being in unbelief?

I know that we always have the illustration of the woman who was dealing with the unjust judge. Because of that, she kept coming back until he, out of frustration, gave her the answer.

According to the scriptures that Jesus gave us, it does not represent my heavenly father. 

Our heavenly father is so tuned into us that he hears us before we ask, and while we are speaking, the answer is on the way. 

That's fast, real fast, even faster than Amazon.

So, here's my question: now that you have asked, how are you expecting to recognize the answer?

You may have asked him to open your eyes so that you may see more clearly into the spiritual world. Or you have, perhaps, asked for wisdom, the spirit of wisdom to give you an answer to a problem. And, like most of us who have asked to hear from the Lord what we should do for the moment.

Here are a few reminders from the Scriptures on what Jesus has said about asking and receiving.

Matthew 7:7: ask and you shall receive, seek, and you shall find knock, and it shall be open onto you. For everyone who ask will receive.

Wow, that's pretty good.

Luke, 1110;

Everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives, and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds, and to him who knocks and keeps on locking the door shall be open. AMP

That sounds definite to me. 

So here's my encouragement to you today. According to the scripture, your answer is already there, but perhaps you still need to recognize it because you expected it to come a different way.

 The original sin of Adam and Eve seems to set a standard for others to follow. Two things stand out that have been identifiable throughout history.

Number one, I am a victim. 

Number two, it wasn't my fault it was yours.

Listen to Adam as God is confronting him in the garden. "He said, "This woman you gave me, she caused me to sin."

Our society today has certainly taken that to new heights. Everybody is a victim, and it's not their fault—everything from the government, climate change, the Republicans, the Democrats, and the preacher.

Of course, we tend to blame God when we mess up. Some say God knew what I was going to do, so why didn't he stop it? It was probably God who tempted me to see if I would fail.

Just to set the record straight. The book of James 1:13 tells us, "God does not tempt us with evil. But every man or woman is tempted by their desires."

Because that is true, we must focus on the Holy Spirit's work within our soul and thought life. If we don't take control through the Holy Spirit's power within us, our thoughts will dominate and lead us into a trap that will eventually kill us. (James 1:13 paraphrased)

Of course, the answer is not mind control or self-discipline. The only thing that works long-term is total submission to Christ. It is because of our submission to Jesus Christ as our Lord that our hearts are filled with the goodness of heaven and the presence of the Lord.

This is why the Scriptures tell us, " Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks." The flesh or natural man can never be trusted without the control of the Holy Spirit. It's because of the Holy Spirit that we have those wonderful fruits of love, joy, peace, temperance, goodness, etc.

As I was preparing myself for my night, watch and a good nights sleep, I heard the voice of the Lord that said,” I will watch over what I have planted.”

Then I realized that the spirit of God was not talking about himself, he was talking about me.

An uncomfortable portion of the Christian community depends on God to do everything for them. Most of us in our early days of prayer spent our time directing God to go do this or do that. Somehow our prayers sounded like a traffic cop directing traffic in a busy intersection.

However, when we begin to understand what happened at the cross in the resurrection, we know that we are now coal laborers with our heavenly father.

When Jesus ascended to the father, he said he would send the Holy Spirit who would be your helper. Many of us may think that the Holy Spirit helps us in our personal life only with problems and pressures.

I believe the scriptures clearly tell us that the responsibility for this earth, and the way it functions has been turned over today men and women of faith who represent God, the Holy Spirit, but Jesus on this earth.

So in the spirit made this statement; “I will watch over what I have planted.”

It was my voice speaking to my self, being reminded of the covenant that I have with the Lord Jesus himself to stand by the stuff that I have planted.

Remember your prayers.

Remember your prophecies.

Remember his promises to you.

It is our responsibility to stand by the stuff stay on the wall be the watchmen through intercession prayer declaration, and a strong faith that God will bring to pass what he has promised us, and what we have planted.

If I wanted to capture the mission of Jesus to earth in simple terms, I would call it. Gods rescue mission. The fathers plan from the beginning was to have created sons and daughters in his image. I like to refer to them as gods imagers.

Because Janice is 126 tells us that's what God intended when he created mankind that he would make them in his image.

So you and I are imagers.

However, you know the story Adam got sidetracked, and he followed his own way, and the whole human race followed behind him. Gods, imagers on earth became captive to another master.

Matthew the fourth chapter, says that they were in darkness and bound up all their lives. That's when a great light came, and begin to illuminate the world around them, and leave them out in the freedom.

Jesus lead a rescue team into this earth. Ephesians 4 describes it that he descended to the Earth from heavenly places.

Then it tells us that he ascended and lead the captives that he had rescued in triumphant procession into the heavily realms.

It goes on to tell us, then, in the book of Ephesians, that we are now seated with him in those heavenly realms, because he rescued us and brought us back to the father.

As shocking as that may sound to the ear of the religious Christian, in all reality, it's true. When God said to the sons of God around him at the time, let us make man in our image, and let him have dominion multiply and fill the whole earth. It could only mean one thing: we are created with God's DNA in the very core of our spirit.  The scriptures tell us that God is light. So buy that deduction you and I have been made in his image. We must be light also. Even our modern scientific technology can detect you and me emanating the light from our bodies. However, let's see that in the spiritual sense. Jesus said in John 8:12 I am the light of the world, and those who embrace me will experience life-giving light, and they will never walk in darkness. Jesus told us in John 9:5 that as long as I am with you, my life is the light that pierces the world's darkness. In Philippians 2:15, the passion Bible tells us, for then you will be seen as innocent faultless and pure children of God, even though you live in the midst of a brutal and perverse culture, for you will appear among them as shining lights in the universe, holding out the words of eternal life. Then, in Matthew 5:14 in the Passion Bible, your lives light up the world, for how can you hide a city that stands on the hilltop, and who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it's placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light, so don't hide your light. Let it shine brightly before others so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your father in heaven. Without question, God is the source of all light because he created us. And Jesus, by his sacrifice, gave us the light that dwells within us. Then, he gave us direct commands to continue to shine that same light into this world because we are the light of the 

Some would consider Paul's statement to be one of a hermit, or at best, a mystic who wanted to live in a cave. However, both of those thoughts are not true because Paul knew what it would take to make the bridge between Jesus, the man, and Jesus, the Christ, the son of God. In the book of Ephesians 3:3, Paul makes the statement. This wonderful mystery, which I briefly described, was given to me by divine revelation so that whenever you read it, you will be able to understand my revelation and insight into the secret mystery of the Messiah. The Holy Spirit knew that if Paul had gone directly to Jerusalem, after his supernatural experience, on the road to Damascus, he would've learned and been trained in the outward expressions of Jesus, the man. If the New Testament church were anything like today's church, they would've taken Paul to all the hotspots and pointed out where Jesus healed the sick. He would've met Jesus, his mother, and his brothers and heard the story of his childhood and how God spoke to him as a young man. This is what Paul meant when he said he knew no one after the flesh. In the same manner that the Holy Spirit led Jesus into the wilderness, the Holy Spirit directed Paul to spend 14 years alone, separated from the physical flesh history of Jesus, the man. When Paul came to Jerusalem and introduced himself to the disciples, he had received that revelation of Jesus, the Christ, the son of the living God. It's upon that foundation that the church of Jesus has been built and grows today because we understand who Christ is to us.

I love Angels. As a matter of fact, I love everything that has to do with God's world. I love angels because God loves angels. I love angels because they have been created by the same God who created me. That makes us a unique family because we have the same father. However, I am also aware that even the angels remind us that we don't worship them because they have been given to us as ministering spirits to bring us to our destiny. In reality, we are the professors at the University of Angels. The Scriptures tell us nothing: angels are baffled at the grace of God toward former rebels that he has brought back into the family. How could that be? That those who betrayed him were now back at the top tier of authority in the kingdom of God? First, Peter 1:12 tells us that the angels are curious about this because they look into and study our lives to see what it means to have. This kind of grace is given to us. You and I are living examples of a mystery that has been revealed to the angels and all the heavenly hosts. We are living examples of God's unending ability to give grace, forgiveness, empowerment, and sonship to those who do not deserve it.

I love the sunshine and hate the rain. Whoa, what am I saying I live in the north west where we have four seasons in the year. We have two days of spring four days of summer and attempt at a decent fall in a long, dark winter.

Well, of course I'm exaggerating but not much. We used to tell everyone it rained all the time and Northwest just to keep them away. Put the secret got out that the storm clouds that rolled in brought rain, and the rain brought luscious green hills and rushing rivers.

So you see without the storm clouds, we would live in a barren land. Show me years ago our church here was visited by some brothers from Arizona. The thing they complained about was, they couldn't see the hills. Our hills are green, and filled with trees. Their hills are brown, and filled with dead grass and such..

Jesus told us storms would come. He referred to them as trouble.. However, he was clear about the fact that he would never leave us in the trouble, but he would take us through to victory.

Those are the promises we hold onto and times win the storm clouds role in on us we know that they also bring to us the ability to grow in patience and trust in the lord.

We can quote scriptures in the Sunday morning sanctuary with great boldness, but often lose your confidence when alone in the storm. That's the time that we must stand firm upon the promises of God, because they will never fail us.

How much of the word of God do we, as believers, really believe? I'm speaking about the general body, including myself, at times, as I have learned to walk by faith and not by sight. Most of what we know comes from our mentors, those who raised us in the gospel. Like a natural family, the spiritual family passes on its excellent and bad traits.  We learned how to pray by watching our elders pray around the altar, especially in the early days when we did the same. We have learned to worship and sing the songs of praise because we watched others do it and followed after them. So I ask you again, how much of the word of God do you believe? You can tell how much we believe. By the way, we pray and the way we worship.  If you're still begging or asking God to do something for you, you may need to dig a little deeper into the revelation that God gave to Paul in the book of Ephesians. If you're still worshiping in your public services, hoping God shows up to give a blessing, you may need to review who you are in Christ and where God and you are actually seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. When we believe what the word of God says about us, we speak differently and worship differently. Because God has made us in his image, we are in the divine family, called sons of God.

The 10th chapter of John is an amazing revelation of Jesus as the door to eternity and heaven's glory. The Passion Bible says it this way in the ninth verse. (Jesus said) I am the gateway; to enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction. 

 Nicodemus came to Jesus in the dark of night because of his reputation as a spiritual leader. When he asked Jesus how he did the miracles, Jesus told him that to understand, you have to have a new spirit and be born from above. Being a religious man, steeped in the traditions of the elders, Nicodemus could not catch the depth of what Jesus was teaching him that night.

Jesus was talking about entering another world, a doorway that you can enter by faith through his name. When that takes place, you are reborn from above. Because of that, you can understand spiritual mysteries and walk in the lord's ways.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we face many doors on our journey, all of which will open by the same action of faith that the first one begins with believing in Jesus and the redemptive power he gave us because of the cross of the Resurrection.

Matthew 7:7 Jesus said to ask in the gift is yours seek, and you will discover knock, and the door will be open for you.

For every persistent, one will get what he asked for. Every persistent seeker will discover what he longs for.

And everyone who knocks persistently will one day find an open door. P/B

How far can we go with the revelation and insight that we get from dreams or prophetic words that we receive from the Lord? What is the rule of thumb, as they say, to judge whether we are hearing from God or having a vain imagination?

Most often, someone will answer that question with this statement. If it's not in the Bible, it's not true, so we must throw that revelation away. As we have this thought today, let's keep in mind that most of what we do in life is not in the Bible, at least in the detail that some say we need. 

For instance, there is no chapter and verse for who you will marry or what job you should take next. When I was pastorimg with my Father in Sacramento as a teenage preacher I was challenged by a Hyper spiritual teenager that I shouldn't drive a car because Jesus didn't drive a car.

OK, you've got the point. Some things have the principles in the Bible but not the exact details. 

Concerning dreams and prophecies, let's also keep in mind that Jesus said there was much more that he wanted to teach us and that the Holy Spirit would bring the things he had taught to our minds and spirits.

Without a doubt, the Bible is the blueprint, the pattern, and the roadmap that takes us to our destiny. It's my experience and my opinion that you can only read that roadmap with the Holy Ghost interpreting it. That's where dreams, prophecies, and angel messengers come into play. 

All of these things that I've just mentioned and found through the Scriptures are various actions of men and women, just like you and me, who seek to please the Father.

So, I am trying to figure out what to do. I've prayed all night, and when I go to sleep, I get a dream.

In the dream, God tells me what I couldn't hear while awake.

It's evident to me that the Bible is an expanding book of revelations, depending on how we hear and see with our spiritual eyes and ears. Some read the Bible and go to sleep, while others read it and see far beyond what the page in front of them says.

Here is the key to keeping myself safely anchored in truth, as God speaks to me about things others may not agree with but believe are from the Holy Spirit. 

I keep God on the throne and Jesus as the door in everything I do, everything I say, and everywhere I go in the spirit. My feet are on solid ground as long as those two unshakable truths are in place.

Among the many lessons I've learned while walking with Christ is that this experience is multifaceted. Nothing in the spiritual world is built or works on a set of principles you can carry in your notebook and pull out when needed. 

The Christian Life and the mysteries of this beautiful, supernatural world are like the computer. It's all there, ready to go, except you need a password to make it happen. The key or password is not simply faith or belief. If that were the case, anyone could manipulate their own Life by training themselves to believe.

The key to Christian Life is believing in Christ, his finished work on the cross, and his resurrection. When that happens, you step into his world and become joined with his Life, so when you identify a thief, you have the authority to get it all back.

We tend to want a formula of faith that we can use without a relationship with our Father in heaven. Remember, Jesus did nothing but what he saw his Father doing. This Christian experience is a training ground for an eternity of working with our heavenly Father in the cosmos he has created for us to develop and fill with his glory.

The things that steal from us in this temporal Life are just practices for our faith and our trust in our heavenly Father to grow and mature. 

David was destined to be Israel's greatest king because he would establish the kingdom through God's direction. Before that happened, he had to go through his Ziklag experience in First, Samuel 30, where he and his men lost everything they had. So, The next item on the agenda was that they were going to kill him.

When David reconnected with the Lord through worship, God told him to pursue his enemy, and he would get it all back.

It's time to hear the Holy Spirit's direction on capturing our destiny and getting it all back.

Some years ago, while traveling through the East Coast in ministry, we visited Williamsburg, Virginia. Williamsburg is one of our history's essential places where our forefathers gathered and formed our early America.

They have replicated or restored the old town to look like it did in the 1700s.

All of the workers in town are dressed appropriately for the age they represent, so it turns out to be a fascinating and fun place to be.

At one point, our tour guide pointed to a second story on a building across the street. She said those who gathered would go there after dinner and have a good conversation.

I thought to myself, what would it be like to converse with the type of men with the wisdom and intelligence to form the first nation of freedom in history? Then, I added several other people I would like to have a good conversation with. People of renown, inventors, preachers, etc.

Then, I was brought to the meeting that Nicodemus and Jesus had in John three. Nicodemus missed a conversation with Jesus about heavenly things. Why did he miss such a life-changing opportunity to speak to the Son of God about spiritual mysteries?

According to Jesus's own words, Nicodemus could not understand natural things. Because of that, Jesus would not even take him into the realm of spiritual things because he would also miss the understanding of that.

Scriptures tell us that we can see God in all his creation so that no one would be without excuse. The heavens speak of him, indicating that the stars are set in a position and order so that they have a message that speaks of God's creation and his love for mankind.

So, where do we start if we desire to have a conversation with Jesus? You begin with "believing faith." Jesus said, if you believe in me, you'll have everlasting life.

That's the very reason God sent his only begotten son into a natural world so that we could start believing in what we could see in Jesus. When we do that, the heavenly things open up.

Guidance is the main issue of life.

From our earliest memories, someone is trying to tell us where to go and what to do. Obviously, in a well-structured home that God placed you in, your mother and father are the first instructors. They tell me that young children learn what they will do 95% of the time in the first five years as they grow older. They also say that training happens at their mother's knee.

In the early Jewish tradition, the young sons were trained by their mother until they were seven, and then their father took over to teach them a trade they would do for life.

So guidance is a big deal in the life of the believer, you, and those who have given themselves to Jesus Christ. Yet, in all of the years I have pastored, the most repetitive question I got is," What do you think God has in store for me." Or a variation of the same question concerning life's journey.

Learning to hear the voice of Holy Spirit, and trusting to be obedient to what you hear is a muscle you exercise until it strengthens. It's similar to the young child who is learning to walk. Getting up and running would be very unusual for that young child.

So it is in learning to listen to Holy Spirit's direction with the same confidence you have in your GPS on your precious iPhone.

To be clear, I have been led astray several times by GPS but never by the Holy Spirit. There have been times when my hearing could have been better when he spoke, but he never led me down a dead-end pathway.

Sometime today, take time to meditate upon Psalms, the 23rd chapter, and let God reassure you that he will lead you beside still Waters and pathways that are good for you.

Jesus said, If you drink from Jacobs well, you'll be thirsty again, but if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never be thirsty again. For when you drink the water I give you, it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, flooding you with endless life! ( John 4:14) p/b

This may shock you when I say that reading the Bible without the Spirit of God, anointing the words you read, is like drinking stale pond water. This is the reason they can use the Bible as a textbook in the universities without the results you would expect. 

In other words, scripture reading only can become vain repetition. Believing faith is what turns that stale pond water into a living river that will give you endless life. You cannot act on the scriptures to obey them without the Holy Spirit, inspiration, and drawing you to the Father.

This is the mystery of salvation and the grace of righteousness given to us freely. Unless the Holy Spirit speaks to you through those scriptures, you will never see past the ink upon the page.

John 6:63 Jesus said the words that I speak into you they are spirit and they are life. Many of you reading this have had this experience often as you meditated upon the scripture that you have read hundreds of times.

Suddenly, it's as if the paper changed, and you read something different because your spiritual eyes opened up, and you look past the page into the revelation Christ was bringing for that moment.

That's the difference between pond water, water, and river water.

You don't drink pond water because it's dead. There's no life in it.

River water cleanses itself as it flows along, producing something good for you.

So it is with the words printed in the Bible in front of you. It takes the Holy Spirit to turn that into living water for you as you take it into your spirit. Trust him to do the work in you.

Happy New Year, everyone. Here we are in 2024, and we have no idea how we got here. It seems just like yesterday when much of the church was all concerned about Y2K and the end of things. The hotels were all sold out in and around Jerusalem, expecting Jesus to break through the Eastern gate.

The secular world was concerned about the computer crash because of the change in the century date. Satellites were going to fall out of the sky. Elevators wouldn't work in the giant towers, and the stock market would crash because of the Computer failures.

And yet here we are 24 years later, listening to the same rhetoric of doom and gloom and damnation, destruction, death, failure, and hopelessness.

Brother, that sounds like good news. Not!

The good news is that all of these have been seasons in your life to prepare you for the days ahead that God has promised and will fulfill. If you think the Holy Spirit will fail in doing what he has been commissioned from the Father, then you have some lessons to learn.

The Lessons are simple. God never fails and never gives up until the plan is fulfilled and complete. 

This new year that he has given us to shape and conquer with our prayers and faith is a precious gift that he has entrusted to those who are faithful to stand in faith and prayer for his kingdom to be established on this earth.

I am not ignorant of what's happening in the natural world around me. However, I am more sensitive to the spiritual world that controls the natural world, and that's where you and I come in.

We are members of the body of Christ, and we sit in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. And from that position of authority, we have the ability and command to subdue, dominate, and rule this world.

This is a new season for us. It's the season of victory. Call it what you will: revival, renewal, or a divine reset.

Forty-five years ago, I brought my young family to a small farming community 60 miles north of Seattle to pastor a fledgling church. Our town is in a valley nourished for centuries by river water overflowing and depositing an excellent rich soil. 95% of our industry is farming. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, including fruit trees and various grains. However, we are known Worldwide for our tulips. 

For centuries, the nation of the Netherlands dominated and controlled the tulip industry. At one point in their history, at the height of a "tulip bubble," one bulb sold for the price of a house. With worldwide migration, some tulip growers found their way to our small valley. For the last three decades, we have been competitors to the Netherlands, sometimes passing their output of tulips.

Every year in the month of Easter, 250,000 people drive our little country roads, taking pictures of tulips and buying sacks of bulbs to take home.

The point of this trip down memory lane is to bring your attention to what makes all of this possible. I drove out across the valley a few weeks ago, and I'm always amazed at how they can take a piece of ground that is so ugly and make it flat and smooth before they plant it with a new crop.

 They go through the ground with several different types of plows. Once a year or so, they will take a deep plow that will go down several feet, bring up the soil, and turn it over so the hidden nutrients will be on top again.

Then, they take one special plow after another, breaking it down until it is ready to plant.

I have brought your attention to all of this for one purpose so that you would take your deep plow through Ephesians in the first, second, and third chapters.

If you do that, I'm convinced you will see something you've never seen before, even though you have read it many times. 

The message the Holy Spirit wants to say today is how real your life in the heavenly realm is. According to Ephesians, your spirit dwells in another realm—some call this "bilocation" where we live in two places at once.

These are the mysteries that God wants us to search out and understand.

Let's plow through Ephesians in these next few days to see what God will reveal to us.

HOW DO WE TELL THE REAL SANTA? ( Santa= righteous and holy)

Both Santas are jolly.

Both Santas love children.

Both Santas give good gifts.

Both Santas can fly.

Both Santas have an expected return.

Both Santas have people looking for their appearing.

Both Santas have a massive group of servants.

And both Santas love you unconditionally.

Whoops- hold it a minute. If I remember right, Santa Claus will love you and give you gifts if you're nice. However, if you are naughty, heaven help you.

And here's where Santa "Jesus" comes in.

With the real Santa Jesus Christ, love is not conditional.

Romans 8 declares that there is nothing that will cause Jesus to stop loving you.

Plus- you received his love even before you loved him.

Santa Claus never gave his life to redeem you from death.

Jesus did!

Santa Claus never rose from the dead to give you the gift of eternal life.

Jesus did!

Santa Claus never went to your heavenly Father to prepare a place for you to dwell with him forever.

Jesus did!

The real Santa is already standing.

Jesus Christ is standing in defense of you before the Father's throne as an intercessor and defending your righteous position in the family of God against your accuser.

His love is eternal. It will never end. 

Forget about the Santa that will give you a "piece of coal" when you miss a step or miss the mark.

Jesus Christ gives forgiveness and righteousness.

Well, that sells it for me. I cast my vote for the actual gift giver, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who came from the Father in heaven to give you the greatest gift of all. He gave himself as the blood sacrifice that redeemed you from the grip of death and brought you back to your heavenly Father's heart where you belong.

When you look back on your personal life and our national life, you recognize a number of nights that we could call "our night before" when everything changed.

There's an old familiar statement we often make when we say, "It's always darkest before the dawn." What we mean by that is that before a miracle happens or our situation changes, we have plenty of opportunity to be in despair and fear.

Each of us has memories of our turning points, soon good, some real good, and also some not so good—the night before you board the plane for your planned vacation to the Bahamas. Or the night before, you have to face the judge in the courthouse. These are the nights that you remember because it's in these times that your character and strengths are strengthened and formed.

Look at Paul and Silas, as related in the Book of Acts, in jail at midnight. It was their night before God's miracle happened, and they were set free supernaturally.

Take a snapshot of Peter as he's in chains, locked up in a Roman prison. Meanwhile, the fellow believers were gathered, praying for his deliverance when the angel came and set him free supernaturally.

It was the night before when George Washington, the commander of our young revolutionary army, knelt in prayer, asking God for guidance. It had been months since we declared our independence, and our battle against the biggest army in the world was not going well. We had yet to win in any of the battles that we fought. 

As George Washington was in prayer. God gave him a battle plan. He was to take his men across the Delaware River on Christmas Eve and attack the German mercenary army that England had hired. So, in the middle of the night, he took his army across the icy river in a blinding snowstorm. Catching the enemy by surprise, they had a total victory.

It was the turning of the war that eventually brought us our freedom and independence.

There is the "night before" in every one of our lives, and what keeps us true to our faith and the promises of God is knowing that he is faithful to bring us to our destination.

How could we forget the garden scene with Jesus on his "night before" experience? The scriptures tell us that he was in such intense interaction with his Father in prayer, that he sweat as it were great drops of blood. 

The next day changed the world forever and made it possible for you and me to have eternal life and be taken back into the Father's heart.

Stand firm in your "night before" because tomorrow's coming when victory is promised.

We just sailed through another Christmas season, celebrating the coming of the savior of the world as a baby in the manger. But there is a reason why the Bible does not record the adolescent years of Jesus, except for one episode, when he was 12 in the temple.

We jump from that description of that young 12-year-old and the priest he interchanged with to a 30-year-old man walking up to John the Baptist to start his destiny God sent him to fulfill.

As interesting as it may be to know the daily schedule of a five-year-old Jesus, the Holy Spirit excluded that on purpose so that we would focus on the main reason that God came in the flesh in the form of Jesus of Nazareth.

John 3:16 tells us that God's only begotten son came to redeem the world and everything God created. 

We spend the next three years watching Jesus through the eyes of the four gospels, healing the sick, raising the dead, and feeding the hungry.

Jesus came to the whole world and found one woman, an outcast woman by the well outside of town. If there ever was a snapshot of our heavenly Father's heart toward his children, you see it as Jesus sits alone, ministering to a broken woman.

Christ came to save the world, but it always starts with one lost soul that needs redemption. Jesus was a walking billboard for God, the Father, because he said everything I do is because I see a Father doing it.

As excellent and beyond imagination, as it was to see Jesus heal entire cities. His real work started when the stripes were laid on his back, and they marched him to the cross.

We shout and cheer when the sick are healed, and how wonderful it is. But heaven rejoices, and the angels rejoice. When one lost, child of God comes back to the Father, because Jesus went to the cross, rose from the dead, descended into hell, and led those captives out. He spent 40 days downloading the kingdom of God into the disciples. Then he ascended to the Father and now sits by his right hand, speaking on your behalf against any accusation.

The baby Jesus in the manger is an important start, but let us not be stuck in a never-ending circle. As the Scriptures tell us, we should be like Jesus and go on unto perfection.

Fifty years after Christ's ascension, the apostle John set pen to paper and gave us the first, second, and third John in the Scriptures. This is the same disciple who leaned on Jesus's breast during the Last Supper. This is the one they could not kill, so they put him on the Isle of Patmos, where he wrote the revelation of Jesus Christ.

In first, John the fourth chapter, he's dealing with a crisis that is happening in the Christian church. In a short five decades after Jesus ascended, 50% of the church did not believe that God actually came in the flesh. The teachings and revelation that the apostle Paul had 50 years previous to this had been taken over by perversive teachers that entered into the bloodstream of the church.

We often use this passage of scripture in our modern situation, challenging an evil spirit or a person who may be under the influence and bondage of an evil spirit. We ask them if they can confess that Jesus Christ came in the flesh.

It's not unusual for us modern-day Christians to believe that the entire Bible was written just for us today. When we do, we miss some of the most powerful reasons why the Scriptures were pinned in the first place. 

I have witnessed all too often while identifying which spirit someone moves in that this scripture is still valid today for this challenge.

However, we can miss the point of why John wrote the book if we don't identify the perversion that was trying to kill this infant Christianity that God had brought through Jesus Christ.

The apostle John tells us in chapter 4, verse two in the Passion Bible: here's the test for those with the genuine spirit of God: they will confess Jesus is the Christ, who has come in the flesh.

Verse three: everyone who does not acknowledge that Jesus is from God, has the spirit of antichrist, which you heard was coming and he's already active in the world.

Two standards were being lifted concerning who Jesus really was. One was the truth that the original apostles had laid out for the church, that Jesus was God and man together. God manifested in the flesh.

The second standard crafty teachers were raising was that Jesus was just a prophet talking about God. John clearly identifies that spirit as the spirit of antichrist, which was already working in his day.

When the Scriptures tell us to lift a standard, it directs us to hold up the banner of truth concerning Jesus, why he came, and who he was and is today.

What was the original sin that separated humanity from fellowship with their creator? Was it, not the fact that Adam and Eve stepped away from the rules of life that God had set for them? The key to harmony and peace in the heavenly kingdom and in the world that Adam lived in was obedience to the rules of life.

Those rules of life were very clear. Obey what I say, and you will have success. Disobey what I say, and you will find trouble.

As quoted in the book of Genesis, the serpent in the garden came into their life of tranquility and peace and beguiled them. The word beguiled means to bring confusion to the point of changing your opinions and understanding.

What happened was that Adam and Eve became their own counselor and, in a real sense, their own God.

From that point on, it was "game on." Who among us needs God? We can be our own problem solvers.

So here we are after all of these centuries that have passed, and we have come up with a new brilliant idea called artificial intelligence (AI). The boasting of those who have created this latest challenger to God says it will be the smartest thing ever made. It will contain all of the wisdom and knowledge of the world. And at the push of a button, you can get any problem solved.

No wonder the unregenerate man is attracted to something that can solve their problems quickly. Why, not after all, do we have everything else, such as fast food, instant music, and movies on demand? Why not problem-solving on demand?

You're looking at another feeble attempt to replace God. Besides, who needs to pray or read the Bible or ask the preacher when you have this marvelous invention of man's creation, artificial intelligence?

So, what's God's response to this? The same as it always has been over the centuries, he laughs at man's foolishness. The house of cards that man makes in his attempt to be delivered from the hand of God's authority always comes to ruin. 

James 1:5 tells us that if we ask for wisdom, he will give it to us.

Jeremiah 33:3 declares that if we call to him, he will answer and show us great and mighty things that we do not know.

After all, our God, Jehovah, is the original problem solver.

It's the first day of a new week, and we look forward to the challenging yet adventurous days ahead of us. Because life is not always guaranteed to work out the way you thought it would, we trust the Lord to guide us through the pitfalls and the snares that it may offer.

To do that, we prepare ourselves by studying and meditating upon the word of God for wisdom. Godly wisdom comes only from the spiritual realm in which God lives and from the spirit of wisdom herself.

To receive godly wisdom, we have been given the ability by God himself to have Faith and belief. The Scriptures tell us that he has given every person the measure of Faith. God's Faith is planted in the spirit of every created human so they can believe in the Lord Jesus and find their way home to the Father.

We have been given clear instructions on receiving the spirit of wisdom and the gift of life. The apostle Paul told his spiritual son Timothy to study the word of God, and it would prove him to be a faithful servant.

Jesus said the words that I speak into you are spirit and life. So, as we meditate upon the word of God, it becomes food for our spiritual man and gives us the life of God. 

The Hebrew scholars tell us that each Hebrew letter is a spirit, a living being that God created. With that thought in mind, you can understand why if we eat the word of God, it becomes life to us.

Meditating upon the word of God has several facets to it. When I think of that, I am reminded of the cow that chews the grass in the field in the morning when the dew is on it. Then, when the sun gets hot, she lays under a cool shade tree and chews it again, getting all of the benefits out of that food taken in.

This is what it means to meditate upon the word of God day and night.

We used to sing a song in the church: "It is joy unspeakable and full of glory, and the half has never yet been told." And another song was: 

"Joy bells, ringing in my heart, Joy bells, ringing in my heart,

Take the savior here below with you everywhere you go,

You will have the joy-bells ringing in your heart,"

Joy and a life of peace have always been the theme of the Christian message, as well as the lifestyle of a believer in Jesus Christ. That's one of the reasons we sing about it and teach it from the word of God.

So, what is the key to eternal joy? How do I, as a believer in Jesus Christ, maintain a lifestyle that is void of depression, fear, and downright unbelief?

The Scriptures tell us that in the presence of the Lord, there is fullness of joy and that his right hand pleasures forever more. ( Ps 16:11)

It's my experience that you can't dwell in depression and be in faith at the same time. The scriptures tell us bitter and sweet water can't flow from the same well.

I also know that if I am in the presence of the Lord, depression can't stay with me because, in his presence, there is fullness of joy.

So, how do I enter his presence?

Psalms 100:4 gives us a clear diagram of the doorway into his presence. I like what it says in the Passion Bible.

"You can pass through his open gates with the password of praise.

Come right into his presents with Thanksgiving.

Come, bring your thank offering to him and affectionately. Praise His beautiful name.!

How much do we praise him? And for what do we praise him?

First, in Thessalonians 5:18, in everything, give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus."

So there you go. Praise and worship God all the time for everything.

Among the many questions that I have been asking as a pastor is the one concerning the will of God for their personal life. "Pastor, do you think it would be God's will that I move to Cincinnati?" "Pastor, should I Mary Jane? Is that the woman that God has given me?"

The desire to know that God favors what you do makes all the difference in the outcome.

When Peter stepped out of the boat, he was in and started walking on the water. It was the result of one thing and one thing only. He knew it was Jesus who had called him to come. The storm was thick enough that he couldn't make out his features, but he recognized his voice, and when he did, he made history.

So the key to that miracle story is knowing Jesus so that you trust and rely on him when he says come to me.

To know someone requires a certain amount of intensive personal relationship with that person. 

Doing that comes from a desire or an appetite to understand and learn what they know and experience.

My experience and the Scriptures tell me that you will know the Holy Spirit Jesus Christ and the Father only to the degree of your hunger and desire.

The people who followed Jesus ' scripture did it for the loaves and fishes. They didn't see him as we do: the world's savior, the Father's only begotten son. ThFather him as a miracle man who fed them food they could be satisfied with.

Even those who knew him as a healer had not received the revelation of who he is to us. To them, he was a miracle Man who could heal the sick and remove their temporary pain.

So my question to you today is, how hungry are you to know Jesus as the Father of the Father? Do you have the passion to go past the man-made restrictions that you've been taught in religious settings? 

Remember, there is no ceiling to this spiritual escalator we're on. The top floor is always the Throne of God. "And in his presence, there is fullness of joy, and at his right hand is pleasures, forever, more."

I'm sure you've heard the gospel song pleading with God, asking if he could just make it in. Listening to it, we get the picture of someone diving through the gate of heaven, catching their coat tail as it closes. A person with that in their thinking lives a life of high anxiety, hoping and wishing that somehow God would have mercy on them and let them into his heaven.

Much of the protestant church, in its early formation, taught that you would not know you were saved until the end of time when you either went to heaven or hell. It was the influential evangelist in the early 1800s by the name of Charles Finney who brought out the mourner's bench. He invited people to come forward and kneel at that bench, and when they got up, they would know they were saved.

He was persecuted and ran out of town and, In some cases, lied about and accused by the old guard who didn't believe you could know you were saved. When that revelation of restitution and restoration came to the church, it changed the structure of our beliefs.

That's what Paul the apostle meant when he said, "I know in whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed under him against that day."

You can know with certainty that you have been restored to the Father when you open your spirit, heart, and soul to the truth of God's word.

So, how far does restoration go? The apostle Paul said beyond what you can ask or think. Today's homework: find your meditation chair and let your asking and thinking go wild, and when you're exhausted, you're just heading into God's territory of restoration.

So you want to see Jesus in the full manifestation of his glory? Then let's take a look at him through the eyes of John the revelator after the resurrection and Christ ascension to the father. After all, the last book in the Bible, the vision that John witnessed on the isle of Patmos, is called the Revelation of Jesus Christ.

There's a great majority of the body of Christ that believe that the book of revelation is all about the antichrist, Gog and Magog ,and the final days of history.

I've always thought it was a curious question why John, the revelator would send this message and vision to the churches of Asia. What would be so expedient about the churches hearing this message of something that was going to happen thousands of years in the future?.

Also, the reading of this book, and this revelation was promised to bring them hope and encouragement, and a blessing from the Lord. I think it would be  something like calling the fire department with my house is on fire and they tell me they will be here in 2000 years.

What you're looking at when you read and meditate upon the book of revelation is a picture of Jesus Christ as he was when John, the revelator witnessed it. The language of the book was totally understood by the early church, because they had been raised on the signs and symbols of the Old Testament.

Come with me for a moment as I read the 10th chapter of revelations from the passion Bible as it describes Jesus Christ a mighty angel, and extremely powerful messenger. Rejoice with me as we witness Jesus Christ our risen Savior in full action.

Have you ever considered the cloud of witnesses mentioned in Hebrews chapters 11 and 12 as personal in your walk of faith? In Hebrews 11, we have been given a list of men and women in the old covenant who walk by faith and hope in the future of God's promises. They lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them.

In the first verse of chapter 12 of Hebrews, they are called witnesses or martyrs that surround us like a cloud. Then, the Scriptures tell us that we have a responsibility now that we live in the new covenant to fulfill their journey because of Christ's cross and resurrection.

This idea of fulfilling the life and ministry of someone who has already stepped over into eternity is a powerful thought. The writer of Hebrews is first concerned about the shift from the old covenant to the new covenant. The old covenant saints could not be fulfilled because the cross and resurrection had not happened yet. However, they walked by faith that it would happen and hoped that God was faithful to his promise.

Another way to look at this experience of fulfilling what the Saints could not fulfill intrigues me. Contrary to the theology I was raised on, I believe we can interact with the saints of old by God's direction.

If we are operating by the "spiritual rule of thumb," that is what Jesus did, we can also do because as he is, so are we in this world.

We understand that on the mount of Transfiguration, Jesus interacted with Moses and Elias, saints that had gone on before.

I also remember that when Jesus rose from the dead, over 500 saints from the former covenant were resurrected and seen by many in the city. The clouds that Jesus ascended on were the witnesses or the Saints of the old covenant going up with him.

I hear reports from spiritual leaders worldwide that I respect who interact with Enoch, Moses, David, and others.

The test of this, of course, is that everything leads to Christ.

Another way to view the fulfillment of the cloud of witnesses on the other side of the veil is in our personal lives and what God has called us to. Paul reminded Timothy that he was a generational person of faith. His grandmother had faith that she passed on to his mother. His mother's increased faith was passed on to Timothy.

Because of that, Timothy was fulfilling the life of his grandmother and his mother through his actions of faith and the power of the Holy Ghost.

So be aware that you first have the responsibility to walk in the new covenant and fulfill what the old covenant people could not.

Second, because the veil between us and the spiritual world is so thin today, God is allowing some of those witnesses to come and speak to us about the kingdom.

And thirdly, in your personal walk, you are fulfilling what your forefathers started. Your faith is a magnification, a supernatural increase of what they planted in you as spiritual seeds.

Hallelujah, we made it through Thanksgiving. Now, the next big hurdle to jump is the Christmas season. Everyone you know faces this season differently. Some great planners purchase gifts long before the season comes and stash them away for that big day. 

My grandmother was like that. She had a couch in her front room with a compartment underneath, and all of us kids knew that was where the presents were for Christmas. And that was in the middle of summer.

On the other hand, some wait until the last few days and then frantically rush around trying to figure out what Uncle John wants for Christmas.

Well, some of that is in our DNA. We may be stuck with who we are because of our genes, etc. That's an opinion, not a fact.

I stood next to a grand piano yesterday, looking at the Christmas cactus. The original was taken from a very old cactus. My mother had her grand piano passed on to my sister. You could call this the Esther cactus because it only blooms once a year at Christmas.

The story of Esther is that she was chosen to be the wife of the king because of her grace and beauty. So, to prepare for that, they took one year, during which she was separated from everything else, in preparation for that grand day.

The underlying story of Esther is God's planning and how he places us in the proper place at the appropriate time to change the course of history. You and I may not change the course of nations as Esther did, but it's just as important to God that our world be also changed.

As I looked closer at this Christmas cactus, I noticed the dainty little beautiful flowers starting to bloom. Then, I looked further into the plant and saw the solid and stout branches holding the small ones.

I thought of the body of Christ and how the strong saints of God secure and hold steady the young Christian babies growing up in Christ.

Some of us only bloom occasionally, but when we do, it's beautiful, and people applaud the fact that God gave such lovely things to the world.

You may be the tender plant, the little flower on the end, or the solid branch that holds the delicate flower. The critical thing to remember is that we have all been created to bring beauty and the love of God to the world around us.

If your spiritual antennas are up, you will have noticed the rise of the mystic ministry in the nations of the world. For some believers, this would be brand new because of the need for teaching or revelation in the body of Christ at large.

However, according to the definition of the word, the shocking reality to many who sit in church and listen to weekly sermons about God and the Holy Ghost is that they are mystics themselves.

The dictionary tells us that a mystic is:

"A person who seeks by contemplation and self-surrender to obtain unity or absorption into the deity. Or who believes in the spiritual apprehension of truths that are beyond the intellect."

Sitting in our comfortable church seats on Sunday morning and listening to the teaching of Jesus and our heavenly father, we are listening to mystical revelation beyond the intellect.

The apostle Paul told us that the natural man cannot comprehend the things of the spiritual world. Why is that? To understand the mysteries of God, we must step into the world of faith, which has another name called mystical understanding.

You can't see God, but you believe in him. You believe in him because you've stepped out of your natural ability to comprehend things by touch, taste, and sight. And you have entered the world of the Mystic?

Unfortunately, many believers missed this because they relate to a mystic as a bearded, long-robed person living in a cave like the old prophets in the Testaments.

It's certainly true about some of the well-known mystics of the past. That's precisely what they did. However, the Scriptures tell us that we are all born from the same father with the same DNA and the same ability to communicate with our heavenly father through prayer, meditation, and spiritual engagement into the heavenly realms of his presence.

One of the many gateways we have available to enter that heavenly realm is our dream life. We have heard many teachings on the celebrated dreams in the Testament that brought great revelation and deliverance. Yet, somehow, theologians did not pass it on to us as modern-day believers.

A typical response when we speak of having a dream is the "pizza dream syndrome." They blame it on the fact that you had the wrong thing to eat before you went to bed, dismissing any spiritual revelation.

In this season, the body of Christ is in its time to embrace our mystical roots and the fact that we are spiritual people who can see into and enter into the very presence of the Lord in tangible ways.

While listening to the recounting of our Thanksgiving memorial as a nation, these few thoughts dropped in my spirit that I want to share today about the founding of this great nation we live in.

As our forefathers came to this land, several major miracles made the difference between success and failure.

First, we are the only nation founded as a Christian nation based upon the laws of God and the Bible from its inception. We are the only nation where rulership is from the bottom up, not the top down. This is what our Bill of Rights and Constitution means: the people have a voice regarding who is in charge and who will lead us.

Another central foundation stone in this nation is property rights, with a legal paper proving to the officials that we own this land we live on.

Another unique thing was that each person could get involved in a free market, trading and making a profit for themselves.

All these things were not true in the other nations the people came from. Yet God provided us a place to plant seeds of freedom that might grow into a tree big enough to bless the world.

The first two miracles that stood out to me in the early days are so identified with God's timing that they can't be denied.

The ones who founded Jamestown in Virginia came near starvation in the first year because they did not plant crops to eat through the winter. They ended up eating rats, dung, and shoelaces, so the historians tell us.

When the winner had ended, they packed their ship up, having given up on the founding of Jamestown, and headed for home. With all practical understanding, this experiment was over.

As they got to the mouth of the Potomac River, heading into the Great Ocean, they met another ship from England with all the supplies they needed and people to help them. 

Only in a two-hour window of time did God perform a miracle. Did Jamestown become the founding city of that region?

The second miracle is even more impressive of God's timing and planning. It concerns the founding of the New England area with the pilgrims.

The Native American Indian that God had pre-arranged to be the one to save them from starvation and conflict with the neighboring native tribes is a miracle story in itself. Years before he was taken captive as an enslaved person, back to England, a group of monks purchased him and taught him English and Spanish and how to read and write. Then, they gave him his freedom, and he came back to his native land, joining himself in the neighboring tribe.

He was the one who walked into their camp one day, speaking English, teaching them about the seeds that would grow best, and negotiating peace with the tribes that were around.

Because of God's timing, the founding of this nation took seed.

We are definitely built on the rock Christ Jesus.

Have you ever considered the incredible wonder of the world's great orchestras when they gather fifty musicians and make music together? We call it music because it is coordinated, balanced, in tune, and on time. The second thing we notice is that they all focus on one person in front of them. We call the conductor. 

As long as those fifty individuals exercise their talents on various instruments and follow the conductor, the crowd will cheer and go home, amazed at the genius of the conductor.

When the natural man refers to staying in tune with the balance of the earth without realizing it, they are referring to a biblical foundational truth.

Just like that great orchestra needs a conductor, everything that functions in the world we touch and see has a conductor that keeps it on time, in balance, and tune. That conductor is Jesus Christ. 

The scriptures tell us that Jesus holds everything together by the word of his power.

One of the most potent things that hindered the children of Israel as they wandered in the wilderness for 40 years was that they grumbled and complained about everything.

Our heavenly father, the conductor of this great orchestra that he created, called creation and life, continues to direct every function around us.

Our most significant discovery in life is to agree with the conductor in our words and deeds. When we do that, everything balances out, and blessings come our way.

The foundation of that agreement is a thankful heart—a heart full of gratitude and Thanksgiving. At the same time, we are rejoicing in the goodness of our heavenly father. When we do that, we balance and cooperate with what he has said about us and what he is doing for us.

Paul the apostle captured that in Romans 10:9 and 10 when he said, if you believe in your heart, and confess with your mouth, you shall be saved.

Take note that the heart is the voice of God speaking, and when you agree with that voice and say it with your mouth, you are in tune with your heavenly father, and salvation is yours.

Psalms 100:4 gives us two secret keys to enter the courts of God.

We enter the first door through praise and the second door through Thanksgiving.

I encourage you this Thanksgiving day to remember that good things always come your way when you praise and worship with a thankful heart.

There is $1 million waiting for you in the bank downtown with your name on it.

To receive it, you must get off the couch, call a cab, and claim your fortune.

If you received that notice from the bank, would you see if it was real?

If, for no other reason, most of us will go for curiosity's sake alone.

Yet we have had an invitation from the Bank of Heaven to invest our prayers for a far greater and more valuable reward than just $1 million.

Jesus cried out loudly as he stood in the city's center and told the people that if they came to him, he would supply them with living water, and they would never thirst again; someone in a hot, dry country that would sound like a $1 million offer.

However, as he made that declaration, many people walked by without even taking notice, too busy to have their lives changed forever.

The whole human race has been invited to call on the name of the Lord and be saved. You and I, the believers, have been commissioned to pray to the Father in heaven that those who haven't come into the kingdom yet will come.

If we get a revelation of what prayer is and how God uses prayer, I'm sure we would be quicker and more eager to do our part in filling the golden bowls before the Throne of God.

The wonder and power of our prayer is that it is placed by the Father into a golden bowl as a sweet, smelling incense before the throne.

According to Revelation 8, Jesus, the high priest, then takes our prayers and mixes them with his prayers of intercession. Then the smoke of incense, with the prayers of the holy ones bellow up before God, from the hand of this angel. (which is Christ the High Priest)

The scriptures tell us that our prayers are put into a vile and poured out before God. Revelation also refers to the golden bowl filled to the brim with our prayers. Those prayers are then placed on the altar, and the smoke and incense fill the throne room.

The part that we have been commissioned to do is offer prayer and give our worship to the Father. He puts that prayer and worship into a container to be used at his discretion and for his desires. Your worship and prayer's sweet, smelling fragrance is to God's divine satisfaction.

In John 8:32, the Passion Bible says, "For if you embrace the truth, it will release true freedom into your lives." Over the past decades, philosophers and freethinkers have wondered about truth. Gathering in groups, they debate with the logic of their empty understanding, trying to find their concept of it.

After the intellectuals exhaust themselves, they conclude that you have your truth, and I have mine. Let's leave it at that. Hence the confusion we live in today. And the darkness that has overcome this generation adds to the next one to come.

You and I, as believers, understand when we speak of truth, we're not speaking of philosophy or the current theories of this age. We are talking of a person, Jesus Christ. 

The only reason this nation that we call home has proven to be the greatest that history has ever recorded is that it Is connected to The prayer that was spoken over this land when the first pilgrims put their feet on the sands at Plymouth Rock, declaring that this nation would spread the gospel around the world. We accomplished the impossible, leaving England as a small group of believing Christians to establish the "city on a hill."

Our forefathers founded this republic on the principles of the Holy Scriptures and Jesus Christ, the Truth.

As an example of our nation founded upon the truth from the Word of God, we have been a citadel of freedom and truth for the whole world to not only admire but also come to and find peace.

When you encounter Jesus Christ and believe in and obey his commandments, you will know the truth and be free to live a life of peace.

Tell me what church or theological stream you were raised in, and I'll tell you the level of anxiety you have about your salvation. That's a strange way to start a discussion of the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to us. To be born again by the blood of Jesus. God's dream from the beginning was always that he would bring us back into his family through Jesus Christ.

This experience we have is called by many different names. One group of people would ask you if you've ever been saved. The next group would want to define it a little closer and ask if you've been born again. Some of our Baptist brothers call it "walking the aisle" or "shaking the hand of the preacher."

Years ago, a missionary in the South Seas wrote about the natives, "running the trails with Jesus."

So you see, there are different names and ideas about what we call conversion or being brought into the family of God.

According to the apostle Paul, in Ephesians 5, Christ and the church (that's you) have been married. In that chapter, he uses the natural marriage between a man and a woman as an example of Christ and the church.

In our theological classes, we use the term "the security of the believer" to describe our confidence in the longevity of our salvation. Many of the Baptist brothers referred to it as "eternal security." Once you're saved, you're always saved.

Interestingly enough, the Pentecostal background denies that, and as a byproduct, we have a vast amount of backsliders waiting to come home.

Referring to our salvation as a marriage to Christ is biblically sound. According to Paul's teachings, we have been made one with him in the same way a man and a woman become one in their marriage.

Mark 10:9 makes this statement about marriage: what God has joined together, let no man separate. We are reassured in the Scriptures that we are in the hands of God, and no one can take us away from that.

So, as you sleep tonight, be assured that you will not lose your salvation before you wake up. And when you do wake up to the understanding that you are secure in your marriage to Christ, your journey will be filled with a different level of joy and contentment.

In my youth, we sang a song in the church called "Turn your eyes upon Jesus."

"Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full, and his wonderful face and the things of the world will grow strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace."

That song captures the theme of my video tonight concerning the current situation of our nation and our society and how it's affecting Christians.

I have often taught the principle that you will go toward or be influenced by what you look at. This is why media outlets and even our Internet are so controlling and damning to the soul of this nation. 

We are being manipulated in so many ways. This younger generation is being ripped apart by what they look at and take into their souls. The evidence of that is the high rate of suicide that is happening among them. 

They have been sold a lie about the future, and even themselves, convinced they are worthless. 

Psalms 73 speaks of the same condition on the day this Psalm was written. Asaph, the author of this Pslam and one of Israel's spiritual leaders, found himself discouraged and weak because of what he had his eyes on around him.

He looked at those who were wealthy, pompous, egotistical, and manipulating those who were less than them. It made him fearful of the future.

The principles of God are the same in every age that we live. It was just as accurate in Asaph Day as it is today. We look around and see the prosperity of the wicked, and the spirit of fear tells us that they will take over the world and we will be no more. 

Faith becomes weakened, and we start to stumble until we turn into the sanctuary of our God and get our eyes back on his unfailing word.

What does it mean to go into the sanctuary of God?

We know that God is everywhere and is in us of a truth. So, do I go into a building, or do I find a group of people that I need to join?

Yes, and yes, but that's not enough. You can go into the most beautiful churches in your city and join a group of spiritual people, but that's not enough.

Put it this way: God himself is the sanctuary that you go into. It's simply obeying Jesus when he laid out the two commandments for us?.

Love the Lord thy God, with all thy heart and the neighbor as they self.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, and your heart will never fail you because He will draw you to Himself.

In the early days of our evangelistic travels, Arlis and I found ourselves on the East Coast of this great country. With a few days between commitments, we joined two of our best friends and headed for the Big Apple. New York City. Times Square. The Statue of Liberty. The Empire State Building. New York pizza.

And at the end of the day, Broadway and the hit show Evita.

What a whirlwind day that was, so much so it's still clear in my memory. As we stood in line at the ticket booth, I realized our limited finances as gospel ministers required us to purchase the ticket on the top balcony.

As we were ascending the levels of balconies, I knew now why they called it the "nosebleed section." My eyes were younger then, but I still couldn't recognize the faces I was looking at on the stage below me.

The sad point of this whole story is I wanted to be closer to the performers, but I couldn't afford the ticket.

The good news is that the ticket has already been paid for you to come as close as you want to your heavenly Father's throne and fellowship with him daily.

The Scriptures tell us that Jesus made a way where they had not been a way before. Men and women before the cross could not boldly come before the throne of God like Paul declares we can do. 

Only after the resurrection could Jesus tell his disciples to ask largely from the Father, in the name of Jesus, and they would receive what they asked for.

There are no excuses not to be as close as you want to be to the Father of all spirits and the Savior Jesus Christ. After all, in Matthew 7:7, Jesus said, "Ask and keep on asking and it will be given to you seek and keep on seeking, and you will find knock, and keep on knocking at the door will be open for you."

Don't let anyone discourage you from having a private personal relationship with the Father, so wonderfully intense and sweet that you won't have words to express the joy of it all.

No one is in front of you; go on in. You're next in line.

My father was a 'sage,' and he always quoted something from the Proverbs of Solomon to support his wisdom. Our family established two repetitive habits we faithfully did all my young life.

Throughout the day, my mother or father would read the Proverbs for that day. There are 31 chapters in Proverbs, and most months have 31 days. Our apostle, dad's pastor, as a young man, taught us that spiritual activity.

The second thing we did religiously was never take a trip in the car without quoting the 91st Psalm: "He that dwells in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

"Remove your foot from your neighbor's house lest he become weary of you."

I can't tell you how many times I've heard those proverbs quoted to me. They have saved me a lot of heartache over the years.

It seems that Jesus had the same problem in Matthew 13. After having a very successful teaching time by the seashore, in the first part of Matthew 13, he decided to go home.

As it turns out, the Home folks rejected him because he was just too familiar to them. Interestingly enough, they were stunned, dazed, amazed, taken back, and blown away by his wisdom and revelation.

In any normal circumstance, you would think that would have locked them into believing God and his messenger, Jesus.

No, it didn't. And the reason why? Most people make a common mistake when it comes to spiritual things versus natural things.

They were looking at the natural source for his wisdom and revelation instead of the spiritual source.

They said, " We know this guy. He's from our hometown. He doesn't even have a degree in theology, nor has he been to the seminary. "

I'll bet you I've heard that before in some of your church or private experiences. Church people are as guilty as anyone else by judging a man or woman of God by their age, their height, their degree of education, or where they're from—shame on us.

It's tuneup time, folks. It's time to tune into the spiritual world and listen to what God says about his kingdom and our future development.

NUMBER ONE, SON, BE KIND AND FORGIVING.

"And be kind one to another tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you." The Scriptures tell us that you must show yourself friendly if you want friends. In so many words, it's telling us that kindness attracts people to you.

Forgiveness toward others is the bedrock principle of Christian living; without it, you will crash and burn quickly. The scriptures tell us that if we forgive, we will be forgiven; if we don't forgive, we get bound up in our soul until we let forgiveness flow toward others.

NUMBER TWO. SHARE YOUR TOYS

Generosity is contagious in the Scriptures. They tell us that if we give to others, more will be given back to us by others. It goes on to say to us that the liberal soul will become fat. That's Bible talk for becoming prosperous.

Something happens to the personality and the emotions of a person who clutches everything to himself. After a while, people shy away from personal contact because they know you're not a generous person.

NUMBER THREE. BUTTON YOUR COAT

When you get onto a commercial airliner, the stewardess first tells you that if the oxygen mask comes down, put it on you before you put it on your children. Why? Because if you're not safe, you can't rescue someone else and save them.

Take care of yourself. Eat right, sleep right, and get plenty of exercise so that you will live long, Enjoy life, and serve the Lord well.

NUMBER FOUR. BRUSH YOUR TEETH

How do we prepare for health and success in the future? We start with the small things, such as brushing our teeth before we go to bed. These small, hidden habits shape our lifestyle. 

Scriptures tell us it's the little foxes that spoil the vine. On the day the parable was written, they had vineyards around the palace. Little foxes that no one could see would lay in the shade on a hot day and nibble away at the vine, killing the entire plant.

NUMBER FIVE. DON'T HIT YOUR SISTER

You learn to respect women in the home, and you start with your sister and your mother. If you hit your sister, you'll hit your wife. Those are just the principles of life, and you form your habits early. You will treat your wife and other women like you have been trained to treat your sister.

Those five simple instructions given to a young man will shape his life forever.

Hidden secrets abound. The spirit of revelation is given, and we begin to see the kingdom of God develop before our eyes. Why does one person understand the mystery of God and the spiritual world while the one beside him doesn't?

Is it a matter of intellect? Or is there a more profound spiritual truth that we may miss in this explanation?

The Scriptures tell us God desires that all men and women be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Yet the Scriptures also say you cannot come to the Father unless the Holy Spirit draws you.

If that sounds like a mystery, we have a good starting place for our discussion tonight.

The 13th chapter of Matthew is one of the most remarkable sections of the teachings that Jesus gave us in the Gospels. Jesus was dealing with two distinct groups of people: the mass crowds that he taught by the seashore and his disciples that he taught in a private house.

Matthew 13 contains his most famous parables: The Farmer and the Seed, the Good Wheat and the Wild Wheat that the Angels collected, the Hidden Treasures, the wild wheat the angels collected, the hidden treasures, and the parable of the Fishing Net. 

The parables concern the kingdom of God, yet none of the large crowd understood what he was saying.

The disciples took him aside to ask questions about the parables, and he revealed the kingdom of God to them.

He told his disciples, "I will speak to you in allegories. I will reveal secrets that have been concealed since before the foundation of the world."

In verse 17, he continued, "Many prophets and godly people yearned to see these days of miracles that you've been favored to see. They would have given anything to hear the revelation you've been favored to hear."

Because you and I live on this side of the cross and resurrection, we are favored to hear the revelations that God is giving to this generation. And because of that, he is preparing us for a supernatural expansion of the visible and tangible kingdom of God that we live in today.

Some call it the third great awakening. Others refer to it as a supernatural move of God on the Earth. I call it the answer to Matthew 6: "Lord, let it be on earth as it is in heaven."

The scent of fresh, glazed donuts wafts through the windows of our church on Sunday morning. Suddenly, I was hungry for one of those beautiful creations. Hurry up, get through with your sermon, Dad, I thought as I visualized one of those sticky, sweet, luscious glaze donuts in my hand. As far as I was concerned, church couldn't get over soon enough.

All these years later, I can still see that donut shop across the street from the church and smell those fresh morsels of goodness they produce every morning. My buddy and I would stand outside the open door and watch them bake and dip those donuts, just hoping they would have pity on us and give us one. 

The moment the spirit of God dropped that thought in my heart today about fresh bread every morning, I was instantly taken back to Long Beach, California, at 1800 E. Anaheim. And that wonderful donut shop.

Three decades later, Arlis and I and our little boy Tony were in Wilmington, California, on a tremendous pastoral team led by my uncle Herbert Ezell.

At the time, he was at the unimaginable age of 60 with a team of young pastors in their 20s and 30s. Pastor Ezell had a hectic schedule, yet He was faithful to be at the church every morning somewhere around 6 o'clock for prayer.

It frustrated us young stallions that we couldn't get ahead of him in those early morning sessions. He always got there first. One day, I asked him how he managed to stay so energized with all the things he was involved in.

He gave me a spiritual nugget I had carried most of my life when he "said daily freshness, George daily freshness."

I believe there's a reason why God gave us 24 hours a day. It provides us with an opportunity to start fresh and new every morning.

The Scriptures tell us that the presence of God and the grace of God are new every morning, also. Sometime later, my apostle and friend Norman Clear told me he stayed in the bedroom on Monday morning after a busy Sunday until his spirit was renewed in the presence of the Lord.

King David said in the Psalms that he was once a young man but now was old.

In that time, he had never seen the righteous forsaken or his seed begging for bread. This was the observation of an old ox.

During the Bible days, they would train a new ox in the discipline of pulling the plow. They would put that young 400-pound ox in the same yolk as a 2000-pound old ox. The old ox knew the system, understood the commands of the master, and was dedicated to the purpose that the master had in mind. 

The young ox still had it in his mind to run and play. But now he was yoked to an old ox, much stronger than he. Now, instead of going, only the young ox had to do with the old ox was obeying the master's direction.

This system of discipline continued until the young ox was trained to follow the direction of the master so that the job could be completed.

I quoted David's Psalm when I was 20 years old, thinking that I had arrived at some plateau of wisdom, only to discover I was still the young ox.

What did God do?

He put me in the same yoke of an old oxen. Better referred to as mature men and women of God, who became mentors and trainers as I grew up in the Lord.

At one point in my journey, I had been traveling as an evangelist for 15 years when God yolked me down with a man of God. For the next two years, wherever the old ox went, I had to go, even though, at times, I disagreed with his decisions.

In those two years of being tied together, I was being trained for the next 40 years. At the time, I had no idea what God had in mind; thank the Lord he did.

Over the following decades, I could hear the voice of the old ox as I went through situations that needed wisdom and understanding. Somehow, in those discipline years, God worked into my spirit, the spirit of the old ox.

So today, I can say, like David of old, that now I am an official Old ox.

Some years ago, a man came to me in my dreams. Tapping on my forehead with his finger, his face very close to mine, speaking loudly, he said,

Don't allow anything to diminish the Jesus you have right in there.

Well, I paid attention, knowing that the Spirit of God was allowing that to happen to improve my sensitivity to Christ in me, the hope of glory.

It's not unusual for us, current-day Christians, to consider ourselves more spiritual than the Israelites of old. We easily criticize how quickly they forgot the miracles of deliverance and supply that God gave them more than once.

Yet, we find them complaining, criticizing their leaders, and even turning back to idols.

For you and I to stay constantly aware of who we are and that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in you and I bodily takes daily exercise.

When Paul referred to "dying daily," he referred to the sacrifice it takes to put down the old thinking and the religious view we formally carried. The Scriptures referred to that as scales on our eyes like a blindfold. The only way that can be removed is by a revelation of the righteousness of Christ in us.

In Colossians 1:27, the apostle Paul tells us that is the hope that we have, knowing that Christ is in us, the hope of glory.

There remains nothing outside of that revelation that Christ lives in us to give us confidence and the correct compass heading as we continue to go forward in the kingdom of God.

My prayer for you today is that if there are any remaining covers over your eyes from former religious or manufactured ideas about God, they would be removed today.

Oh, that we would continually be able to say what is quoted in the Scriptures:

"I see the Lord high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple."

Let that picture be in your mind's eye continually.

In recent years, we have learned much about the ability of modern technology to listen to our communication systems. It can be a phone conversation or something we put out on the Internet. Some programs have been created to survey all types of communication and pick up certain words that would trigger investigations.

When Solomon said there was nothing new under the sun, we could apply that truth to our age. We who are alive today have the same ability that the prophets of old enjoyed and listened to conversations through the power and grace of the Holy Ghost. 

We all remember the story of the prophet who could hear the conversations in the enemy's planning room and would pass on that information to the king of Israel.

In the World of believing saints today, many are listening to conversations on all levels through the Spirit of God. It is not uncommon for one of our well-known prophets to have mysteries and secrets revealed to them to stop it through prayer and prophecy.

There are untold stories of men and women of God who have reported such conversations to our military leaders, etc. Of a certainty, nothing is new under the sun.

On another level, the multiplied stories of men and women of God today who are visiting heaven and bringing back reports of what God is talking about. Listening into the conversation of God's counsel is possible through the Holy Spirit empowering us as we walk as sons and daughters of God in this modern age. The conversations we are hearing in God's planning room are all about victory. What our heavenly father starts, he also finishes. 

My encouragement to you today is to be careful who you listen to. A multitude of voices come by you every day, and most of them are filled with fear and predictions of doom.

The Scriptures tell us to guard our heart, for out of it are the issues of life. We do that by tuning in to that heavenly channel where God speaks to us as people of God: direction, revelation, encouragement, and victory.

Be careful who you allow to speak into your ear. What you listen to will go into your spirit, and you will turn toward it. The Scriptures tell us to guard our heart, for out of it are the issues of life. When the heart is mentioned in the Scriptures, it refers to the very core of who we are. According to the word of God, words are the most significant influence that shapes and directs our lives.

It's a common understanding that the purpose of sleep is to be refreshed and restored to our physical body. It gives our whole system time to re-group and even heal as we rest at night.

However, the most significant purpose of that night's sleep is so that our soul and spirit are ministered to as well. Seeing that our spirit is the generator that keeps everything else on track, it's critical that we feed our spirit the right things for strength and wisdom.

Among the many things that the angels have been commissioned to do, such as guards, guides, and defenders of the Saints, is the responsibility of carrying messages from the 

Father to us.

In advertising, they say that a whisper is more effective than a shout when trying to gain customers' attention. They could have discovered those secrets by knowing God used the same method.

It is not unusual for God or the angels to whisper to us to see if we're listening. Anyone will stop and listen if a loud boom catches their attention. But the challenge for you and I as a believer is to be so attentive to the voice of God and the message that he sends that we will even hear a whisper.

Most often, when an angel enters a room, there is a slight attention-getter, like a flicker of light or a slight noise to catch your attention. If you're in the seeking mode, you will hear it.

This is why the Scriptures tell us to set our attention on things above and not on things below. Be very sensitive, dear ones, for the sounds of heaven are always there.

I am suspicious of the school systems today on how much detail they give our students to our history and the development it took to get where we are. 

How many of our youth, and even our adults, remember what the English Mag-na-car-ta was all about?

In the year 1215, King John was forced by the land barons to sign a compact guaranteeing them more freedom, giving them the right to voice their opinions, etc. It was 100 years later when that compact went into force, changing the whole political and social climate in England.

From the seed of that compact, we gained our freedom as an American nation and have enjoyed over 200 years of self-rule.

What is part of the political confusion today is that a mass of our citizens have no idea what it means to be under the bondage of a dictator.

The American experiment is one of a kind that has never happened in the history of the world.

But another compact or covenant, signed and delivered, brought the entire world out of darkness into light. None of us can imagine what it would be like living before the cross, where the evil spirits and the gods of the nations ruled it with a hand of terror and punishment.

It had been 400 years since the Israelites had heard the prophets give a word from God himself.

The Bible states that there was darkness on the land.

Matthew 4 tells us that the people sit in darkness, and a great light comes.

The cross of Jesus Christ ripped an eternal hole in the heavens that will never close. When that happened, the gods of this earth came under the domination of the name of Jesus and lost their power to rule over the human race.

The entire human civilization came under the bondage and the curse of sin when Adam committed high treason. The world and all that were in it lost their innocence.

But praise God, another man came called the second Adam Jesus Christ. When he went to the cross and died for us, we died with him and rose again to new life. The entire human race, under the curse, suddenly, by the action of Jesus Christ, became innocent again and was returned to the Father's heart.

Jesus said he would make a way where there has been no way. He did it with the cross.

If you said Adam and Jesus, you are absolutely right.

The axis of human history pivots on both of these men. Both of them were given a covenant with a command and a promise. 

In Genesis 1:26 and 27, God said, let us make man in our image and give them rulership authority over the creation.

IN LUKE 418, JESUS SAID THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME BECAUSE HE HAS ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR. HE HAS SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERING OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND, TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED TO PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.

The entire world was subject to sin when Adam committed high treason against God and was driven from the garden. The virus of sin affected every human because they were affected by the virus of disobedience.

The reason Jesus is referred to as the second Adam is because he was sent to, first of all, fulfill what Adam did not finish. When Jesus was on the cross and said, "It is finished ." it was his final statement before he gave his spirit to the Father. The finished thing was Adam's covenant, fulfilled by the second Adam, Jesus Christ.

In the book of Romans, the fifth chapter tells us that one man, Adam, brought death, and one man, Jesus Christ, brought life forever more. Adam was disobedient, and death followed. Jesus was obedient and brought life back to the human race.

Just as sure as sin came upon all men because of Adams's fall.

Righteousness came upon all men because of the obedience of Jesus, which brought us eternal life.

For those of us who have been longtime members of the community of faith, we understand the terms, the Lord's table, and communion. This practice has continued as long as the church has been functioning since the ascension of Jesus Christ. On the final night Jesus was with his disciples, he ate bread with them and commissioned them to eat his body and drink his blood.

It's no wonder that in the areas where Christianity functions, they called them cannibals, assuming they were drinking blood and eating human flesh.

I have participated in the communion ceremony hundreds of times over my life, yet each time I open up my spirit to this subject, I hear and receive more revelation.

Take some time to read again John six, starting with the 51st verse.

Then add to your reading First Corinthians 11, 23, to the end of the chapter.

I am convinced that if you do, the spirit of revelation will open up some incredible new insight into what Jesus meant when he said, unless you eat of my body and drink my blood, you have no part of me.

The emphasis in John Six that Jesus shares with his disciples is that each time they eat food and drink, they should remember and celebrate what Jesus accomplished through his body and blood. The practice of communion that we have once a month or once a week on a Sunday morning has taken away from the meaning of what Christ meant in that last supper.

He was not telling us to set up a traditional communion service for the church. He told us to remember why he died, who he died for, and what it made us into every time we take a bite of food.

That's how continuous our refreshing of our faith should be. This is not a religious ceremony. Jesus gave us a simple tool to keep our faith sharp and before our eyes and hearts at all times.

Each time you take a bite of food, remember the body of Christ and what it did for you. Each time you take a drink, remember the blood of Christ and how powerful it is to redeem you and bring you to your sonship.

That's what real communion is.

Where did the statement come from that reflects the attitude of too many people worldwide? "Hellfire and brimstone." If you were raised in most churches in the last century, you would know exactly where that came from. The picture of God came across the pulpits of our Christian world.

Too many of us got saved because we didn't want to go to hell. Many more of us stayed away from the off-limits that the church had set for us because we didn't want God to cut us out of the family again.

If you think that's extreme, then you're blessed.

Religion of any kind that has been altered by man's idea of who God is puts on a burden that no one can carry for a long. As one raised in the church, I could say that I knew more about sermons on backsliding than sermons on who I was in Christ and overcoming.

However, gradually, God begins to crack open the revelation of his Grace to us. As the generations matured, he revealed himself even more. Unfortunately, you can always depend, no matter what season of the church you may have been raised in, that there would be resistance to the subsequent revelation of truth.

At the turn of the 1900s, the early holiness movement resisted the Pentecostal movement. The Pentecostal movement opposed the latter rain movement. And Both of them resisted the charismatic movement.

When what we call the faith movement broke into our lives. It was like a fresh breath of air, and God gave us another step to see further than we'd ever seen.

Then, here comes the grace movement, and resistance started again. In the Scriptures, faith and Grace seem to be team members in this beautiful kingdom that God has called us to. In all reality, you can't have one without the other.

The only thing that separates us from God is a mind filled with unbelief and doubt. Because God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish.

Recently, on one of my ministry trips, I was in a house with corroded water pipes. You could taste it when you took a drink and often see the results in the glass. To solve the problem, we purchased a container with a filter so that when we drank our water, it was pure again.

The Scriptures that are contained in our modern Bibles are referred to as the water of life. Unfortunately, those scriptures have come to us through vessels, i.e., pipelines, that can be contaminated by human reasoning and religion. The result has produced generations of Christians who only see God and the work of the cross through the filter of other men's opinions instead of the spirit of revelation.

The result is that generations of believing Christians have a skewed picture of who they are in Christ and who God is as their Father. The emphasis of sin in the human race has been magnified to a place where its indelibility stained the believer, even after conversion. 

Our Western theology repeatedly tells us we are all sinners saved by grace. Out of those old pipelines of reasoning comes the attitude and the misrepresentation of what happened at the cross in the resurrection. When filtered through the complete work that Christ did on the cross for us, we have been made new creatures. All things have been passed away, and all things have become new.

We are not sinners saved by grace that person has died with Christ on the cross.

That person has been buried with Christ in the tomb. That person was risen in the newness of life and now sits in a heavenly place in Christ Jesus.

You are the greatest idea God ever had.

It started in the recesses of eternity past when he declared let us make mankind in our image, and let him have a rule and dominion.

The climax of that desire in God's heart was fulfilled in Christ when he went to the cross, rose from the dead, and ascended to the Father again.

We have been made complete in him. The former conduct of past generations no longer stains us. We have been translated into the kingdom of his dear son.

I've got a question for you today. Why is it that a majority of the church seems to be so anxious for us to get out of here and go to heaven? When challenges come and bad things happen, outcomes the dusty sermons on the end of the EarthEarth, the coming of the lord, and the rapture.

It's starting to pop up on the Internet again; prominent speakers in the nation are predicting the end of time and the church. They revive all the text proofs that have convinced them that there's no hope for us, so let's leave quickly.

One of the advantages of hanging around for a while, as I have, is to witness this cycle many times in the last several decades. The antichrist has come and gone dozens of times since I was a kid. Yet here we are still, planting seeds and harvesting men and women with the gospel of Christ.

What did David do when he showed up at the battlefield when Goliath had Israel hiding in caves? Did he say all is lost? Let's give up and die. No, he did not. He reminded Goliath who his God was and what he would do with him. Then he ran toward the problem, not away from it.

The two great commands God gave to his creation, men and women, are that they become dominant and forceful, multiply themselves, and reflect heaven on Earth. Genesis One describes the kind of man and woman that God was creating. Mark 16 directs those men and women on how to deal with their future through the power of Christ. Nowhere in those two commands is a provision to run for your life because we have no hope.

Now is the time to speak Mercy into the situation that we are in because Mercy always triumphs over judgment.

A few days ago, on this program, I talked about looking through my old Bibles and being inspired by the notes I made in the flyleaf. In doing that program, I took a picture of 17 Bibles I've managed to keep from the 65 years I've been active in the ministry. Many of them are worn out, and pages are falling apart—some I set aside for a different translation. 

I love the Bible. It is the foundation of our Christian life in our relationship with God. However, somewhere along the journey, I discovered that the Bible was not the meal but the menu. The Bible is a dead book without God's spirit involved as you read and meditate. The Scriptures tell us that the letter kills us, but the spirit makes us alive.

Professors worldwide in various universities and higher learning centers teach the Bible through the eyes of the unconverted. To those professors, it is history or poetry, and most of it isn't very clear to them.

Unfortunately, too many Christians read the Bible in somewhat the same way. When Paul received the revelation of Jesus Christ and who he was to us, he made a bold, interesting statement. First, he said he wanted to avoid going back and interacting with the apostles so they would tell him about the historical Jesus. He was interested in something other than the repetitive pictures of Jesus feeding the 5000 or healing the sick. 

He commented that he didn't want to know Jesus after the flesh.

When the gospels tell us about the life and ministry of Jesus, there's something behind that story that is greater than the fact he fed the 5000 and healed the sick. The more significant message is that he completed the desires of the Father by fulfilling the Old Testament covenant and preparing for the New Testament covenant. The acts of his miracles were not just to be studied in themselves, but they pointed as a menu does toward more incredible things.

Those more incredible things for Jesus were his preparation for the cross and the resurrection. Everything we see him do in the New Testament points toward the activity that changed history: his sacrifice for mankind. And his resurrection proves his deity.

I love the Bible, but I look through the page past the ink to the Holy Spirit's message that it gives to me.

Questions abound both in the church and outside of the church. What is the purpose of prophecy, some ask? Oddly enough, there seems to be more of an openness to the spiritual world, such as prophecy, than there is in the broad church itself.

For those outside of the church, prophecy has another name; some call it terret cards. Another name would be Ouija board or a séance. All of these have to do with the occult world. However, the underlying attraction to this is a desire to look into the spiritual world and see what's coming down the road.

Have you ever wondered why the human race desires to look into the spiritual? Every tribe and group of people in history has always had something spiritual that they looked into. They do because we have all come out of the bosom of God the Father and desire to return to where we came from: the spiritual world.

When Jesus entered the human race, he came to reveal the Father and to show the world where the human race came from and where they were going. Jesus was a living, walking prophecy. Everywhere he went, and everything he said was the fulfillment of something a prophet in the Old Testament declared about him.

So, one of the purposes of prophecy is to have a revelation of the future and God's destiny and purpose for us. 

Biblical prophecy, sanctioned by God himself, is not fortunetelling, nor is it the Ouija board or the séance. The spirits that communicate through those systems do not know the Father.

The prophecy that you and I are involved in as sons and daughters of God is powered by the Holy Spirit and sanctioned by God himself. This is why, according to Ephesians 4 and 11, a prophet is one of the five gifts God gave the church. 

Yet he did not regulate prophecy to a single office. He gave it to the body of Christ also. You and I, as believers, have a mandate from God to prophesy. That is to speak forth the purposes of God into your generation, and as you do, you are creating the platform for God to set up his kingdom on and rule and reign therein.

Do a simple experiment with me. Go into a dark room and find the light switch. Now, Flip the switch and listen closely. Did you hear any resistance, any voices saying I am not leaving this time?

No, you didn't. Because darkness is not a force, it's just the absence of light.

Light has always been the dominant force since God pronounced it with his very voice. He said in Genesis One let light be, and light has been the dominant force ever since.

Matthew's fourth chapter tells us that those who sat in darkness saw a great light when Jesus came into the world. Light constantly expels darkness.

It's not unusual to hear teachers and authors magnifying the power of the devil and darkness to the degree that it overcomes light. Despite how the teacher and author intended that result, it still affects those who take it in.

The record of Jesus's death and resurrection is well-established. The testimony of why he came to this earth to deal with death, sin, and separation from God is clear. He overcame death, hell, and the grave. That includes the power of darkness, which was done away with when he took the authority away from Satan.

The only reason that darkness becomes a superpower in anyone's life is because of blindness to the reality of who you and I are because of what Christ did at his death, resurrection, and ascension to the Father.

That does not change when circumstances in our life look dark or fearful.

There is no change in God's opinion of you when you fail or fall in your journey. The only reason that may affect you is that you become blind to the fact that you have been redeemed and are a son of God. 

That's what the light of God is; it has illuminated that you have been brought back to your genesis, the beginning of your life, which is found in God.

The scriptures tell us that we have light, and we are to let it shine so those around us may see the glory of God. 

All light originated in the Father; we are his extension to this earth.

The starting gun fires with a bang, and 12 runners leap into the race.

Plans have been made and carried out for years so that each individual here would be in this contest. Practice and practice again until the body is ready to run the race to win. After all that has been done to prepare, there's just one thing missing: an ingredient that will give them the ability to succeed.

The missing ingredient is adrenaline.

Adrenaline in the natural body is held in reserve until it is needed. The term that is used is "fight or flight." Both of those things need adrenaline to make it happen.

That mysterious ingredient in the body kicked in when the gun went off, and the muscles fired off with superpower.

So it is in the spiritual world and the life that you live as a son of God.

It's called spiritual adrenaline.

Jesus said to his disciples that they would receive power after the Holy Ghost came upon them. ( ACTS 1:8) that power is God's spiritual adrenaline called the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit God manifested on earth in the lives of those who receive.

It is heavenly adrenaline—the power to do.

Jesus told his disciples in John 14 that he would come again in the form of Holy Spirit; when he did, they would remember what he had taught them. Jesus said that the spirit of God would teach them all things.

Wrap your mind around that statement if you can. 

Those who believe we have received the Holy Spirit as they did in the Book of Acts speak in tongues and prophesy. When we preach, we talk about the Holy Spirit's unction, which gives us the ability to preach under the anointing.

Yet few of us have stepped into that believing realm that Jesus promised. that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things.

All things?

How could that be? But remember, Jesus is the one who came up with that statement, and we have committed ourselves to believe what he says.

I challenge you in this new day that God has given you to allow the spiritual adrenaline, the Holy Spirit, to be released in your everyday life. Because the Holy Spirit has come to teach you all things and bring all things to remembrance that Jesus has taught.

Walking with the Father through the life he has given us is a hoot. There's never a dull moment. I've discovered over these decades that I have enjoyed his fellowship and that he is a happy God. Some traditional theology has tried to convince the church that he is mad half the time, looking for something to crush us with. Nothing could ever be farther from the truth.

The key verse that shows his attitude toward those he has created is John 3:16. Why would God start loving the world so much that he gave his son as a sacrifice and yet end up trying to find ways to destroy us? The fact is he is a happy God and loves to have fun with his children.

Yesterday the Father said to me, let's have some fun. I want you to collect all of your old Bibles and go through the notes you wrote to yourself on the flyleafs because I want to speak to you from the past.

OK, if you say so, Lord.

 So I collected 17 of my old Bibles, the ones I could find on my shelf. 

My sisters, who were evangelists at the time, gave me the earliest Bible I preserved on May 10, 1958. They were conducting a great revival campaign in Coos Bay, Oregon, and invited me to come and help.

My sister Joanne writes to me on the flyleaf of the Bible;

Only one life will soon be passed; only what's done for Christ will last.

Read your Bible and pray every day, and you will always be on top for Jesus.

Work for him while it is yet day, for the night comes when no man can work. Philippians 1:21 Your sister, Joanne

I didn't get very far into the stack of Bibles because of the notes, prophecies, and scriptures I came across. Most of them, I had forgotten because of the time that had elapsed since I wrote them. I could hear the Father laughing at my surprise or my emotional response to something I had made a note about.

Our life is a treasure that God has given us. We must remember his goodness because that's what draws us to his heart daily.

The history of mankind is filled with stories of hidden treasures and the mysteries behind them. Even the mention of hidden treasure stirs something in the hearts of most of us. In every age, someone was searching for the secrets of those rich treasures buried somewhere on the map.

From the supposed buried treasures of the Pirates to the rumors of Gold buried in the hills of Arizona. The thought of it drove men crazy, even to the point of giving their lives trying to find secret riches.

The apostle Paul talks about a hidden treasure placed within you, and I called Christ himself or the light—second Corinthians. 4:5 gives us an insight into the meaning of that treasure called the light of God. Verse 6 tells us it was hidden there all the time.

In Galatians 4:19, the apostle Paul describes a two-tier approach to the maturing of those he described as his spiritual children.

First of all, he said that he birthed them through his gospel.

The second thing he did, which is equally essential, is travailing for them until Christ is formed in them.

This is a clear description of what God has done for mankind. The gospel reveals Christ and the intercessory prayers of the Saints, mature Christ, in his complete revelation, of who he is to us.

In the original text, sin means to be without form or your allotted portion.

That is the picture Jesus described for them in the Prodigal Son story.

The son of the father lost his portion. That was the sin he was in. He needed to remember who he was. But when he got his mind right and recognized who his father was again. He received his portion back.

The Scriptures tell us; let this mind be in you that was also in Jesus Christ.” He understood who he was and what his purpose was on earth.

I love to chew on the word of God. After all, it's referred to as milk, bread and meat. Those are natural things that provide nourishment and give us life-giving energy. So because the word of God is referred to as milk, bread, and meat, we can be assured that if we eat and digest the word of God in our spirit, it will give us life-giving strength.

It's promised to give us life forevermore—eternal life.

With that in mind, let me ask you a question. Have you taken a scripture lately or perhaps a series of scriptures and meditated upon them until it went from milk to meat? That particular pattern of studying is not only experienced by "super spiritual" people; it's meant for all believers to experience.

Here's a scripture to consider meditating upon and asking the Holy Spirit for revelation. Ecclesiastes 12: 6-7.

Today, in the video, I want to talk about the seeds God has planted in his excellent ground. There are two parables that Jesus gave us that are well known for teaching about seeds and harvest or return from investment.

Matthew 25 gives us the example of three servants. The master gave them money to invest so that they would have an increase or a harvest from the seeds they planted.

Mark 4 is a well-known discussion of the farmer who cast the seed on different grounds. Each place where the seed was cast gave a different result until it came to the good ground that gave a 100-fold return.

Take a minute to look at the bigger picture through God's perspective.

When God created you and I, he put a seed in us, called our spirit. That's the treasure he put in us, and he expects to get a return for it. 

What activates that seed so it will grow to maturity?

The message of the kingdom: the word of God.

This is why Paul gave us that description in Romans 10: 9-10 that the word he preached brings us alive in Christ. The seed of God is already in you. It just needs the water of the word to bring it alive.

This is why we preach the gospel to all men and women that God has released them from the curse, forgiven them, and brought them back to his loving care.

Jesus said that you will have eternal life when you believe who I am.

Think about that.

If you have been in the Christian World very long, you have no doubt heard someone make this comment about dreams. "Well, dearie, that's just too much pizza before you go to bed." That limited understanding of the Spirit World has caused the church to be so far behind in its revelation of how God speaks and deals with us.

Dreams and visions are a serious part of God's tools for guiding and directing his children. As we journey through this experience we are having on Earth. When they are ignored or slandered, it puts blinders on the body of Christ to see their future and to have timely and clear directions from the Holy Spirit.

Take note of these simple facts about dreams and visions connected to the scriptures and the human race.

Every one of us experiences one to three hours of dream time every night. Just because you don't remember doesn't mean you're not experiencing it.

We spent 3 to 10 years of our life dreaming.

At 70 years of age, you have dreamed 76,650 hours.

At 80 years of age, you have dreamed 87,600 hours.

That's a lot of interaction with the spirit world.

Think about this for a moment.

The New Testament begins with five dreams and two visions.

And it ends with the Book of Revelation, the most significant documented vision in the Bible.

Without dreams and visions, we may not know our beginning and ending. 

After all, 200 references in the Scriptures to dreams and visions give instructions and directions to the people of God.

With that in mind, ask the Lord to open up your understanding so you may hear and see what he has in store for you.

The mission that Jesus was assigned to by the Father when he came to earth had many dimensions. His mission was not just to die on the cross and rise from the dead. It was the first to fulfill the Old Testament covenant that Adam failed in. His earthly ministry reflected the fulfillment of the covenant that Adam had received from the Lord. That's what Jesus meant while hanging on the cross when he said, "It is finished. " Adam was given dominion and rule over the earthly things. He was to dominate, cultivate, and fill the earth with people like himself. When Jesus came as the second Adam, everything he did was under that covenant. He was not functioning as God. He was serving as a man following and faithful to his Father.  When he challenged us to pick up the mantle of faith and do greater things than he did, it was because we have the same connection to his Father. We were born of the same Father, with the same DNA and commission. When Jesus said he was "the way, the truth, and the life," he declared an open door for us to enter into the heavenly realms and be welcomed back to the Father's heart. In the book of John 14, 15, and 16, he prepared his disciples to receive the promise of the Father, which they did in the upper room in Act Two. Jesus made a way for us to enter where there had been no way, and he did it with his blood sacrifice and his resurrected power. You don't open the door; the door has been permanently opened. However, you and I must enter that door by faith. When we do, we will experience the reality of heaven. Several times in the Scriptures, Jesus invited us to enter into His joy. I remind you today that if you go to that open door, God will bring to that door what he has in mind for your future. As you peer into that open door, you will see the angels and cherubims, the throne of God, and the Saints of old that have gone on before.  Don't wait for death or the coming of Christ for this to happen. You can experience this as Paul did when he encountered the third heaven. We commonly call this prayer meditation, seeking the Lord, waiting on him, and enjoying his presence.

Your imagination is like clay; reform it. There is a mysterious Scripture in the book of Genesis concerning the tower of Babel. God said that if he left these people to their own doing, they could imagine anything and do it. To understand that is so far beyond our comprehension in the natural mind that we miss the power of it. The imagination is the seedbed for thoughts and actions. Things we end up doing start in that seedbed and grow into giant trees. Our life's good, bad, and ugly originate in our thought patterns. One of the potent purposes of meditation that is lost to the Western culture is the result of thinking by letting your imagination develop and grow. The great discoveries, inventions, and technological wonders come from someone's imagination. The same day the dreamer came up with the printing press or the television, someone else came up with evil deeds and desperate thoughts. Jesus warned us to take no thought and say the things that would harm us. The Scriptures also tell us to cast down those types of imaginations and take them captive to the word of God unto Christ. Your imagination and your thought life come out of your heart, and because Christ lives there, you can let him mold you in his image. This is what we call maturity, or growing in Christ.  The apostle Paul referred to this as carnal people, those who let their imaginations run their lives into the works of the flesh. When we rest in the lord, cast or care for him, and trust him to keep us, that shapes our imagination. After all, we are patterned after God himself; because of that, we are creative and inventive. Just like our heavenly father, we release that creative power through our mouth by the words we speak. Be aware of your thoughts and imaginations; your words will reflect your heavenly father.

Jesus made a curious statement when he spoke to those around him. He said “he's that has ears to hear let him hear.” That's a very odd statement when we know that everyone generally has ears and they do already hear. This can only mean there is a spiritual ear that needs to be open so that we can hear spiritual truth.

We can call that ear faith in God. The scripture tells us that if we come to God, we must believe that he is, and that he is the rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

However, this is the challenge we face.

Who are we listening to today? Where do we get our news from?

The scriptures tell us, we are built up by our words, and our faith increases.

That would also mean that we are tore down by words and faith is removed, and doubt takes over.

What kind of company do we keep?

First Corinthians 15:33 tells us that bad company corrupts good morals. How does that work? Because whoever you hang around, will influence you because of the conversations that you have. Those words, according to proverbs 18: 8 will go down into your inner most parts of your body. That's a serious invasion of who you are.

Proverbs, 20 and 19 tells us that tale bearer or gossipers are to be avoided ;do not hang around them. Separate yourself. Why?

Because we have ears that hear those words around us, and they influence our life and future.

In first Timothy, 3:6 to 11 gives us a picture of the mature men and women who are to lead the body of Christ. These individuals are not gossipers they do not bear false report, and they do not carry slander. The words that they speak into the body of Christ is filled with life because they are listening to the right news and associating with others of excellence spirit.

Giants and other troublemakers that come along in our lives don't leave on their own; they must be challenged. When young David went to the battlefield, bringing food for his brothers, he encountered an odd scene in front of him. On one side of the valley, a massive man named Goliath had been there for over a month, shouting insults at the army of Israel. David also noticed, to his dismay, that the army of Israel was hiding in caves, afraid to come out and face the giant. God has been preparing David for giant killing without David's knowledge. His preparation was his encounter with a lion and a bear. Both of these obstacles in his life had to be faced before they were dismissed. (That's a nice word for killed and destroyed.)  David did several things that set him on his pathway that led to the throne of Israel.  First of all, he refused to use the weapons of natural man. That would be Saul's armor. The next thing he did was prepare his weapons of warfare and went to the brook and selected five smooth stones. David stayed in his anointing. He knew his strength and was going to use it. His next act was that he prophesied his victory in advance and told Goliath what he would do to him. His final act before throwing his stone was to run toward his giant, and when he did the anointing of the Lord, he took his stone to its target. Your giant will not go away on its own. You have to face it.  Trouble will come; as a matter of fact, Jesus said that, so it must be true. If you face your troubles in faith, God will anoint your strength and listen to your prophecies and declarations, and the weapon you use against your giant will succeed.

A wind blew through my spirit today, bringing this song to my mind. It's one of the songs we sang from a familiar hymnal in our Pentecostal church services. Let me quote a few lines for you. Verse one, "There was a time on earth, when, in the book of heaven, an old account was standing for sins yet unforgiven. My name was at the top, and many things were below. I went onto the keeper and settled long ago. Verse two The old account was large and growing every day, for I was always sinning and never tried to pay, but when I looked ahead and such pain and woe, I said that I would settle. I settled long ago. First three When at the judgment bar, I stand before my king, and he the book will open. If he cannot find the thing, then will my heart be glad while tears of joy will flow because I had it settled and settled long ago. First four When in that happy home, my savior's home above, I'll sing the redemption story and praise him for his love. I will not forget that book with pages white as snow because I came and settled and settled long ago. Then the chorus Long ago, down on my knees, long ago, I settled at all. Yes, the old account was settled long ago, hallelujah, and the record is clear today, for he washed my sins away when the old account was settled long ago. As you might imagine, songs like this shaped our theology in our Pentecostal world. However, this type of understanding tended to focus us on our personal journey and our personal sins and failures. Because of that, many of us repeated our redemption and cleansing processes almost as often as the old Israelites did under the old covenant. We would often take a new dip in the fountain of forgiveness and redemption in each service because this was our MicroView of redemption. How about the macro View? What's it like? Rom 5: 17-19 Here is a quote from verse 18 in the Mirror Bible. Take some time to meditate upon these verses. "The conclusion is clear: it took just one offense to condemn mankind; one act of righteousness declares the same mankind innocent. This is from the Philips translation: "We see, then, that as one act of sin exposes the whole race of men to condemnation, so one act of perfect righteousness presents all men freely acquitted in the sight of God!" Take some time to view redemption from 30,000 feet, and you'll begin to see just how inclusive and wonderful His grace is to us.

A repeated phrase from the early computer days expressed how the system worked. GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT! Anyone who understands how the computer works knows that it is true. This is why someone who inputs data gets paid so generously. The success of the whole system depends on accurate, reliable information going in if you expect to get the same coming back to you. This whole idea is much larger than the mechanics of a computer on the Internet. It's the pattern of life itself. The reason for that is that is the way God set it up.  The Scriptures tell us, "If you want to have friends, show yourself friendly." They also tell us, "Give, and it shall be given to you press down, shaken together and running over will men get back to you?" We can also include the familiar verse, "according to your faith, so be it up to you." Then faith is likened to a seed that you plant. Jesus told us there was a category of faith. To one group, he said, "Oh, you a little faith." And to another one, he declared, "I have never seen such great faith, not even in Israel." Another seed that we plant that may be among the most powerful is our words. Jesus declared, "If we would say to the Mountain be cast into the sea, and not doubt in our heart, we would have what we say." Try that on for size when you get into your spiritual Superman suit. You and I stand at the most significant crossroads in spiritual history for the believer. We have had revelation upon revelation of God's kingdom over the last 2,000 years. I believe the seeds planted by our forefathers and the martyrs who have given their lives for this gospel are just about ready to come up. I've stared long enough at the outside of the veil of God's revelation. I want to go to the other side where the action is. HOW ABOUT YOU?

In the remaining hours of 2014, the Spirit of God spoke to me concerning the new year I was facing. The words 12 - 12 -12 were dropped into my spirit, and I asked What do you mean by that, father? He said I will introduce to you 12 angels and 12 keys that were released, 12 miracles for this new year. As you may imagine, I was all ears, and my spirit was tuned in and ready to receive. Through 2015, it was a wild ride of Faith to believe the word that God had given me. Each of those months, around the clock, struck 12, a new Angel would come and introduce himself to me. The August Angel's name was Trumpeter. As we communicated throughout August, I discovered why the father sent him into my life. (I found he had been with me since childhood, preparing for the ministry God had designed for my life.) One of the things that he was designed to do was blow the trumpet when he prophesied over someone or to a congregation. I discovered that the blowing of the trumpet did something to the prophecy to penetrate into the spirit of the one receiving it. The scripture refers to blowing the trumpet in Zion. The blowing of the trumpet in the ancient days sent the army into battle. It gave directions and encouragement by the sound of the trumpet. In the military, when the bugle or trumpet is blown in the morning, it wakes up the troops so they can prepare for the day. The sound of the trumpet will proceed the coming of the lord according to the scriptures that we love to quote. As I understand it, this has been going on in my life for a long time without me realizing what was behind the curtain of the spirit.  Since that encounter with the angel Trumpeter, I often hear it in my spirit when he blows that heavenly sound. This is my personal experience. Each of us has a path that God puts us on and teaches us how to function and be successful in our call. I encourage you to press into that secret place David talks about and listen to those heavenly instructions. It will change your life and your relationship with the father. After all, the scriptures tell us that the angels surround us to defend, guide, encourage, and protect. Isn't that something?

Those who have spent their life studying the human brain tell me that the average person uses a tiny percentage of their brain in their daily routine. To add to that thought, even the most intelligent men and women among us still use a tiny percentage of the brain that God gave us to think and create with. With that picture in mind, let me speak of our spiritual life and the revelation within us because of the God who dwells within us. Yet, as spiritual beings, we use a tiny part of the revelation and understanding of the kingdom that we are a part of.  It's like a child who goes into a giant toy store and stops at the first one they find, spending the rest of the day with one toy. We have found salvation, that is true, yet some churches and people you may interact with consider that to be the only toy in the store.  In my early days of travel, if I did not preach a salvation sermon, they considered me to have missed the mark. For those of us who are Pentecostal, charismatic, spirit-filled believers, we have our list of favorite subjects that we cycle through as we meet together. All of them are important and so precious that I would never want to do without them. Yes, like the little boy in the toy store, we may spend so much time recycling or reviewing those things that we already know that we never discover any fresh revelation from the father. In reality, there are no mysteries in God, only unrevealed truth. If you'll be honest with yourself and let your spirit have a voice, you will hear a cry: Father, reveal yourself in your fullness to me.

The gift of life is so precious and yet so fleeting. It seems like just a flash of time, and we are older, and things have changed so much. Because of our busy lifestyle and the pressure of raising families, we often don't appreciate the days as they slip by. Only when we look back, do moments in time become precious, and we regret not savoring those moments. You build your life on something, whether a solid foundation, like a rock, or a shifting weak foundation, like sand. Jesus told us that the person that built their house upon the sand, their house will fall when the winds and the storm came in. But those who build their house upon the rock we know to be Jesus Christ will stand despite the strong winds and waves that come. It's always possible to readjust our foundations because when we deal with spiritual matters, the Scriptures tell us, "Today is the day of salvation.' There is no age limit on coming to Christ, and when you do, your foundation shifts from the sands of life to the rock, Christ Jesus, that will never fail you.  The promise, directly from Jesus, in the quotation above is that your house will not fall when founded on Him, the solid rock.
