Your story doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful. It simply has to be yours—the honest account of where God found you, how He met you, and what He continues to do in your life.

In this episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever closes the series with a practical challenge: recognize that your story is one of the ways God has equipped you to reach others. Sharing our faith can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t require a perfect presentation or all the right answers. It begins by loving the person God has placed in front of us, listening for the direction of the Holy Spirit, and being willing to speak about what Jesus has done in our own lives.

As you listen, you’ll discover:

Why loving people comes before sharing with them. Through personal stories and everyday encounters, Debbie explores how genuine care, intentional listening, and simple acts of encouragement can open doors for conversations about faith.

How the Holy Spirit prepares opportunities we could never orchestrate ourselves. From Philip’s encounter with the Ethiopian in Acts to unexpected conversations in grocery stores, workplaces, and neighborhoods, you’ll see what can happen when we recognize God’s prompting and respond with obedience.

Why your testimony matters—and how to share it simply. Whether your journey has been dramatic or seemingly ordinary, your experience of God’s faithfulness carries a message no one else can tell quite like you can. Debbie offers a practical framework for sharing your story by describing your life before Christ, how your faith became personal, and the difference Jesus has made since.

You don’t need a platform, a polished testimony, or a perfect opportunity—just a willingness to love the person in front of you, listen to the Spirit, and speak when God opens the door. Listen and discover the courage to share your story and the joy of seeing how God can use it to make an eternal difference.

Drifting rarely happens all at once. More often, it happens quietly—one distraction, one compromise, one neglected habit at a time—until we suddenly realize we have moved farther from where we intended to be.

In this episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores what it means to be Equipped Against the Drift. Using the picture of a boat slowly moving away from its anchor, Debbie reminds us that spiritual drift is often subtle and unintentional. Staying close to God, however, requires something different: an intentional, daily decision to remain anchored in His Word, responsive to His Spirit, and steadfast in our faith.

As you listen, you’ll examine some of the currents that can quietly pull us away from God—even things that are not inherently wrong. Busyness, relationships, disappointment, entertainment, ministry, and complacency can all compete for our attention when they begin to occupy the place that belongs to Him. Debbie challenges us to recognize God’s boundaries not as restrictions, but as loving safeguards designed to keep us close to Him.

You’ll also discover why continued spiritual growth protects us from drifting. Returning to 2 Peter 1, Debbie encourages us to keep growing in faith, goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, affection, and love. As we actively pursue Christ, remember what He has already done, and respond quickly when the Holy Spirit prompts us, our faith becomes increasingly steadfast.

Finally, Debbie turns our attention toward the next generation and the importance of a faith that is personally experienced rather than simply inherited. Children and grandchildren cannot live indefinitely on borrowed faith; they need their own encounters with the living God and the transforming presence of the Holy Spirit.

Listen and consider where God may be calling you to tighten the anchor, return to what you already know, and walk with renewed faithfulness so that when the currents come, you remain firmly rooted in Him.

Family was never meant to be defined only by the people who share our name. In God’s design, family is also found in the people He places around us to encourage us, walk with us, and remind us that we belong.

In this episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores what it means to be Equipped with Family. Scripture reminds us that we were never designed to live out our faith in isolation. Through Christ, we have been adopted into God’s family, becoming brothers and sisters who are called to love, support, forgive, encourage, and care for one another.

As you listen, you’ll explore how relational wounds can cause us to withdraw from the very community God has given us for our growth and healing. Debbie addresses the reality of family and church hurt while challenging us to pursue forgiveness, take responsibility for our own responses, and resist the temptation to isolate ourselves when relationships become difficult.

You’ll also discover the significance of the many “one another” commands throughout Scripture. Loving, encouraging, praying, serving, forgiving, bearing burdens, and showing hospitality cannot happen in isolation. They remind us that being equipped for godly living is not only about what God has placed within us, but also who He has placed around us.

Finally, Debbie challenges us not simply to look for a place to belong, but to be the family someone else needs. By noticing people, extending encouragement, creating spaces of belonging, and responding to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, each of us can become the hands and feet of Jesus to someone who desperately needs to know they are seen, valued, and loved.

Listen and discover how embracing the family God has given you can deepen your faith, heal places of isolation, and equip you to become a life giving presence wherever He sends you.

<itunes:summary>Faith is often strongest not when the path is clear, but when the fog rolls in. When answers are scarce and the future feels uncertain, God doesn't ask us to see everything ahead. He invites us to trust the One who does.
In this episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores what it means to be Equipped with Faith. Through Scripture, personal stories, and vivid illustrations, Debbie reminds us that God has already given us the faith we need. Like a muscle, faith grows stronger as we exercise it, surrender control, and choose to trust God's character and promises even when we cannot see how the story will unfold.
As you listen, you'll discover:
• How faith grows when we cannot see the whole picture. Using the imagery of navigating through dense fog, Debbie explores what it looks like to release our need for certainty and place our confidence in the God who sees what we cannot.
• Why the object of our faith matters. Our stability isn't found in changing circumstances, but in the unchanging character of God. His faithfulness, sovereignty, goodness, and promises become an anchor that holds us steady when life feels uncertain.
• How to strengthen the faith God has already given you. Through abiding in Christ, listening for God's voice in His Word, and taking obedient steps even when the outcome remains unknown, we learn to exercise our faith and become increasingly steadfast.
Listen and discover the peace and confidence that come when you stop relying on what you can see and begin resting more fully in the One who sees the entire journey.</itunes:summary>

In this week's episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores what it means to be equipped with God's presence. Through the life of Joseph, she reveals how God's presence remained constant through seasons of betrayal, disappointment, waiting, and unexpected responsibility. Rather than being defined by his circumstances, Joseph was sustained by the One who walked with him through every hard place. As we follow Jesus' example of balancing a life of pouring out with intentionally being filled in the Father's presence, we discover that we are able to serve from a place of strength rather than exhaustion.

As you listen, you'll discover:

How abiding with God produces lasting influence. Joseph's character, wisdom, and faithfulness flowed from his relationship with the Lord, allowing God's favor to touch every home, prison, and palace he entered.

How to cultivate a rhythm of being filled before pouring out. Learn why time in God's presence isn't an interruption to your calling—it's the very source of the strength, peace, and wisdom you need to fulfill it.

Having the right tools is important—but knowing how to use them changes everything.

In this week’s episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores the vital role of knowledge in the life of a believer. Drawing from 2 Peter 1, she unpacks the difference between simply knowing biblical truth and living it through personal experience. God has already given us everything we need for a godly life, but spiritual growth requires more than possessing the tools—it requires learning to use them and allowing them to shape the way we live.

Through practical illustrations, personal stories, and the powerful example of David and Goliath, Debbie challenges listeners to move beyond information and into transformation.

As you listen, you'll discover:

• The two kinds of knowledge every believer needs. Learn the difference between knowing the facts of Scripture and developing the kind of experiential knowledge that comes from walking with God through real life challenges.

• Why personal time in God's Word is irreplaceable. Bible studies, podcasts, and sermons are valuable, but nothing can substitute for opening the Scriptures and cultivating a daily relationship with Jesus for yourself.

• How God uses seasons of preparation to equip us for future battles. Through David's journey from shepherd to king, you'll see how God develops both conviction and confidence long before He calls us into greater responsibility.

This episode is a powerful reminder that spiritual maturity is built one step of obedience at a time. Listen and discover the confidence that comes from knowing God's Word, experiencing His faithfulness, and walking equipped for whatever lies ahead.

The good news is that you are already equipped. According to 2 Peter 1:3, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life through His divine power. In this episode of Equipped for Godly Living, Debbie Keever explores the Person and work of the Holy Spirit—the power of God at work within us, equipping us to live, grow, and walk faithfully with Him. Looking at the birth of the early church in Acts, Debbie reminds us that the Christian life was never intended to be lived through human effort alone, but through complete dependence on the Spirit of God.

As you listen, you'll discover:

• Why the Christian life was never meant to be lived in human strength. Through the example of Jesus and the early church, Debbie reveals how God equips His people through the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

• The difference between leading and controlling. Learn how our desire to manage outcomes often keeps us from experiencing the peace, wisdom, and direction that come through surrender.

• What it means to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This practical teaching unpacks how daily dependence on God transforms our attitudes, relationships, decisions, and ability to walk in obedience.

Whether you're waiting for direction, wrestling with uncertainty, or simply longing for more of God's presence in your everyday life, this conversation offers a fresh reminder that the power you need is already available through Him.
