We follow the cast (and Dan!) to San Francisco where we find more of the same themes we have watched throughout this strange season. We change locations, but the majority of the group’s attitude has not changed when it comes to their expectations of Ariana and her attitude towards Sandoval. Kyle Chan’s whiskey party starts as “Good as Gold”, but crumbles after Sandoval attempts to “apologize” to Ariana. She truly is the final boss in his redemption tour, and thank god she’s indestructible.

We told you we would talk Golden Bachelor, and we didn’t forget! We cover what we loved, what made us cry, and what maybe wasn’t so “golden” after all. We muse about what made this new Bachelor show so special, and wonder if it airing with Paradise gave the mess on the beach a bad look. Then we dive into the dirt of the couples remaining in Mexico. People are dropping like flies after hard truths and broken hearts. The remaining two couples take us to the fantasy suites and then on to predictable engagements… but maybe their ending isn’t so “happy” after all. Naturally we have to spill the tea on how these couples are doing now. We wrap it all up discussing what we will be covering on the pod next! We are SO PUMPED. (Pun intended)

Great British Baking Show FINALE + the dinkiest episode of Paradise | GBBO S14 Ep9&10

This week we are thrilled to wrap up our Great British Baking Show coverage with the season 14 semifinals and finale! We start with a rough Patisserie week to watch, where we lose Tasha to a lame laminated Showstopper. We are then left with Matty, Josh, and Dan in the finale. Despite our disappointment with an all-male finale, we were thrilled to see some fun challenges like eclairs and a forgotten lardy cake. We wrap up the whole season with layered cakes reflecting the bakers’ “first bakes”, and are thrilled to see who the judges "leaned" toward for the win. Paradise gave us a weird 35 minutes before next week’s finale... We are confused (as are many of the couples) and wonder how we are going to manage to wrap up this season with the remaining couples. Guess we will ready our tequila and find out!

Dessert parties and homie hoppin’ | GBBO S14 Ep7&8

Dessert week leaves us with technical tears and questionable bombs, so thank goodness that party week delivered with fun challenges like sausage rolls and no-beige buffet spreads! Meanwhile in Mexico, everybody be “homie hoppin’”, leaving us with very few solid couples as we approach the end of the season. Katie Thurston comes down to stir things up with a spicy roast that somehow manages to create even more mess on an already very messy beach.

Meanwhile, on Golden Bachelor, Gerry has big decisions ahead. We discuss how this different phase of life shifts the show into higher stakes.

Mourning the results of pastry week and celebrating the need for piñatas | GBBO S14 Ep5

Pastry week was savory and sweet, but also sadly sour! We are mourning the loss of two of our favorite bakers leaving the tent after this crust-filled episode. Due to our busy weeks, we are not quite caught up on Golden Bachelor, BUT we always make time for the mess on the beach in Mexico. Tanner leaves Kat high and dry on her birthday to date and dance with Davia. Kat takes her anger out on a piñata while Rachel and Brayden become piñatas. Loving what Sam and her age are bringing to the beach. It will be interesting to see where the roses land, because none of these love stories seem to be standing the test of time.

Bizarre bread week - poopy Paradise - and Golden hot takes | GBBO S14 Ep3

Bread week had us raising our eyebrows this week. Top bakers were struggling to proof their skills… pun intended! Some of last week’s strongest bakers struggled to impress Prue and Paul with their bread-making abilities, leaving us shocked to see who would be leaving the tent. We find the beaches of Paradise messy as ever, and follow the trail of men’s tears to all of the drama between Kat and Brayden and another abandoned Will. We hope Sam is able to get some things out of her system, and that the Golden Bachelor comes up with some better group dates for these fabulous women.

Charity is charmed by Brayden saying “he’ll try”, but the rest of the men are not convinced. The men really leaned into the Barbie date, but only Sean achieved the ultimate Ken status (all in the hair). Aaron plays the part of “right reasons” police, and attempts to open Charity’s eyes to Brayden’s lack of intention. But those rose-colored glasses are locked on those dangly earrings for at least another week!
