It’s me, DoctorKSD, and I created this podcast to ”set the captives free.” Through my personal grief journey, I realized many people are unknowingly imprisoned by tired, old traditions, negative inherited mindsets, and past hurts. They have settled for the life they have and forfeited the life they deserve. Sound familiar? If that is you, I am PURPOSED to set YOU free! You have been robbed of your joy, your happiness, your peace, and your purpose. It’s time you take back what’s yours. It’s time to take back your power!

This episode of Surviving The Holidays delves into Managing our Emotions and how anticipation of family gathering shenanigans causes emotional overload and disruption of the peace you fought so hard to protect.

Here, we discuss strategies for preserving your peace and how to avoid giving control of your emotions away because NO ONE deserves to control your emotions other than yourself!

Anticipating the many questions and ways you will be offended at the next family gathering usually makes you go to the event armed with snide comments and quick clapbacks to defend yourself. BUT IS IT WORTH IT!

Every time we allow others to "MAKE" us feel any type of way, we are handing over control of our emotions to them. No one deserves the right to control how YOU feel! This episode explores the many ways people hijack our emotions and strategies on how not EVER to allow that to happen again. Preserving your peace means protecting yourself from participating in activities that take you so far away from your peace that you don't recognize it.

This holiday, enjoy family gatherings by arriving equipped with the proper tools so that you are the thermostat in the room and NOT the thermometer!

In this thought-provoking episode, "Do Christians Really Believe God & Heaven Are Real?" we dive into the complexities of faith & belief in the face of loss. Join us as we explore how Christian traditions fall short in equipping believers to face painful experiences, especially death. We’ll delve into the challenges Christians face when their spiritual practices align more with cultural norms or allegiances to a concept of God rather than forging an authentic relationship with God.

Throughout the episode, Dr. Kim and her husband, Phillip, discuss how they navigated the profound loss of their 9-year-old son and how traditional views of Heaven and God can sometimes hinder rather than help the grieving process. Are Christians nurturing their spirit-man and connecting with God on a higher level, or are they following traditional rituals that don't address their spiritual needs when loss finds its way to their door?

The Kingdom of Heaven is near! Get ready now!
