Sounds in Cinema Podcast

Traversing the entertainment landscape, Sounds in Cinema seeks to provide a light-hearted, sometimes insightful, and often comedic (intentional or otherwise) analysis of sound design and score throughout movies and television. Tony Parham leads the way as the show's host. Born in the Cretaceous Period, Tony has honed his skills through years of acting, working on sound crews for both movies and television series, working as a front-of-house engineer for stage productions, and talking...a lot. Joining him is co-host and show producer Derek Hanson. Derek - or D-Rock if you're nasty - cut his teeth in audio engineering through years of music production that began more than two decades ago during his time at Berklee College of Music. His knowledge of audio production is surpassed only by his inimitable skill at lobbing sarcastic barbs at every opportunity.

The two met in Nashville, TN in early 2020, launching them into the original run of the show that saw 72 episodes released before life happened. Now separated by more than 2,000 miles, the question is whether or not this pair of ultimate doofuses will survive technology and succeed in bringing their unique brand of inane observation back to where it truly belongs: the internet. Come along for what promises to be a fun ride that lacks the pretense or self-awareness to take itself seriously. At all.
