We are doing a quick lil 3 part series focused on Building Wealth as a Woman of God, and the first part today dived into Idolising Money. 

I believe that building wealth is not spoken about enough as Christians - however, idolising money is; we are taught to be scared of earning money, that wealth is bad and that we shouldn't be greedy. Now I'm not saying that's false - there are certain aspects that we need to be aware of which is why we're deep diving this! However, we can't speak about building wealth without the knowledge of how it can be idolised.

I am no stranger to seasons of financial "lack" as a single mum and these times are difficult. They can make you wonder why. They can make you feel like you're failing. But.. God only allows times like these to teach us something. 

In this episode, I dive into my personal experiences as a single mum experiencing seasons of drought, and how through these seasons, God taught me to detach from money and live a life so different than what we are taught & what society says is the "norm".

As a single mother, life can feel overwhelming, and maybe you're in a similar position to me, or you're married or you're single with no kids - but life can be overwhelming for us all at times; the question to ask though, is Jesus at the centre of it all? 

I promise you, bringing Jesus to the centre of my life has allowed me to experience a peace that transcends all understanding as His word promises, and even though life isn't perfect, nor easy, that peace is there only because of JESUS ♡ it's tempting to fill that void with external validation and worldly comfort, but Jesus really is the answer.

I'm so happy you clicked onto this podcast & I KNOW it was for a reason! 

This first episode is all about overcoming shame.

When I found out I was pregnant, I was in an unhealthy relationship & not married; which was not what I ever imagined for my life. I was meant to do things the 'right' way. Get married. Have a healthy marriage that included God. Then, have children. I was meant to break generational curses of divorce & brokenness in my family, and here; I've gone and done this. 

Fast forward 3 years, I'm a single mum to my best friend & closer to God than I ever imagined.

God used my shame.. which I was riddled with for soooo long, to bring me closer to who He called me to be. And I trust that right now, I'm exactly where I'm meant to be. 

I pray that after listening to this episode, no matter your current circumstances; if you're in the same situation or different, that you're encouraged that God will bring you through just as He brought me. 

He is your strength and you WILL overcome this because you are Clothed in Scarlet.
