So when recently watching an episode of The Golden Girls … in which Dorothy ties out for Jeopardy (yes the great Alex Trebek AND Merv Griffen are on this episode) this send the boys down a rabbit hole which resulted in Joe’s Plex becoming a cornucopia of (mostly) sitcom’s in which one of the characters wound up on a REAL game show.

Starting with The Jackie Gleason Show in which the entire episode was a “Honeymooners” sketch where Ralph and Alice go on “Beat The Clock”

We have a hat trick of different sitcom’s crossing over with The Gong Show.

There are 8 billion people on this planet and 9 billion podcast … but only ONE which brings you a beat by beat breakdown of the  October 3, 1986  magical cross over of the sitcom 227 and Wheel Of Fortune!

That kid is Ethan Printz and his unpaid Uber driver to the show, his Dad, Robbie.  Robbie for 30 plus years, one of the best headliners (and most liked by the comedy community) to come out of the famed late 80s/early90s Boston scene.

This was a super fun chat with a couple super fun comics.

Lots of kids go into the family business – Ethan is just starting early into the family business.  Why not.  He’s good at it and a bad night of telling jokes with your day and your friends (fellow comics) beats the best day of grinding away in a cubicle doing TPS reports.

Lucky for CPP Matt isn’t to famous YET to do our humble little podcast.

The beloved WBZ Reporter Matt, to his delight and amazement has “gone viral” and caught the eye of media outlets in (old) England!  His fun quirky stories like the tiny town of Stow losing their minds over losing their Dunkin’s (and yes there was another Dunkin’s in next town 0.4 miles away ... or his fun (well acted), what happened to the death-trap McD’s playland “attractions” of yesteryear … to his hands down BEST and probably why he won his Best Of Boston award and was inducted into WERS Hall Of Fame … his story and Jacques (Joe Flynn’s) show “Goat Show” at Goats To Go in Georgetown MA

Already fans of Matt when we met in person the first time at last year’s Boston Comedy Festival where Mat had the honor (and anxiety) of being a judge.

The cool stories (like living out some many of our dreams / curiosities) of “What’s Behind Those Doors” in the Boston Tunnels to becoming an unexpected “true crime” reporter when he when to do a cheeky fluff, “Saugus Prada” piece.

We will not have Matt as a local reporter much longer (Matt has no plans on leaving, relax Johnson Industry corporate overlords) and he’s a true Boston guys who LOVES being a true Boston guy … but come on … we know a rising star when we all see one.

Legendary Film Maker and … Co-Founder of Legendary Pictures, Bill Fay zooms in to chat with Joe, Biff and Jacques … who for reasons we still don’t understand has been a close friend and mentor to Jacques for 20 years!

The first two film companies Bill worked for out of college went bankrupt … and then he learned to fly a plane to be Hollywood’s man on the ground in Africa ... along the way working with folks like James Cameron for (politely putting it) eccentric film maker Rodger Corman to producing such block busters The Patriot and Independence Day with Director Roland Emmerich.

Along the way ACCIDENTLY doubling his 24-year-old selves lives saving by making a 3-day investment based on getting to see a sneak preview of Back To The Future

Bill (and partner Thomas Toll) created Legendary Pictures in 2000 with a plan for a slate of big budget (largely Superhero / Action) films … Along the way just for giggles … also produced the Hangover (well for giggles and 470m at Box office making it largest grossing rated R comedy in history.)

Bill also talks his favorite project, a small indy sci fi horror called Replicate … well favorite project Jacques was an associate producer on.

Bill did fly to see Jacques she he was living in Qatar in 2026 … and in Qatar gave college lectures and gave road map to finance minister of how too get their country on the film making map.

Bill currently is CEO of Steric Systems – a company that has developed a electronic process of smoothing liquor and spirits at distilleries. 

Steric Systems has grown exponentially over last few years … which leaves very little time for the other new company Bill started with his brother … a Salmon spread they’ve made for friends and family for years … at a few pound batches at a time … now scaling up (pun intended) to 7500 lbs test with a national food chain retailer. 

Bill and Jacques now have the stage show rights to the 1999 movie Happy Texas and hope to have a 6 weeks test run (maybe in Seattle) next fall.  To be clear … BILL has the rights, Jacques just loves the movie and wants to work on the play!

This room at China Blossom has been one of the more well-known rooms in New England comedy for most of the last 40 years. This is Chris’ 2nd stint at running the comedy room and every weekend between Labor Day and Memorial Day, you’ll see the BEST comics killing it in front of a packed room!

Most clubs and bookers talk that “they’re like a family” with New England’s best-known folks in comedy … well, Chris had nearly 50 of them fly over to Italy for his wedding a couple of years ago.

When it comes to the “names” of New England comedy, Chris is arguably the most well-liked (loved by many) comedy show producers but how supportive he is to the comics just starting out … he’s really the most liked guy over all by this insane and funny club.

Jacques has been going to China Blossom to see shows since high school and over the last couple years, maybe seen 25 shows here – but Oct 18th for the Wicked Funny “Funniest Person In Merrimac Valley” contest finals and the Oct 20th showcase – Jacques is counting down the days like a 7-year-old does Christmas!

And YES, Matt was wearing (his dad’s) Pinky Ring when we met him and boy did he live up to the hype we had heard about him.

A comic.  A host / MC.  And a booker.  He might have gotten a late start into comedy but you’d sure think he’s one of those 40-year vets we chat about most episodes.

A barber IS a lot like a (hopefully) sober bartender.  You really get to know your clients and about a year into sobriety Matt went to his first mic and knew this was for him.  Yes, he does test out material on friends in his chair … they can’t get up and he’s holding scissors … can’t ask for a more attentive audience!

Matt chats the overwhelming special support he has gotten from day one from all areas of the hierarchy of New England comedy.  Be it working material out with him, giving him shows he didn’t expect to be getting for a while … even picking him up in the rain when he had car trouble on his way to a show.

Now, yes, Jacques did (very unsuccessfully) tried to start a beef with Matt and Mike Koutrobis … but Matt wouldn’t bite … so Jacques just gonna have to try harder next time to make stuff up!

A lot of great stuff has happened with Tony since being on our podcast in March.  Now, we’re not saying ALL of it is a result of being on our podcast but we’re not, NOT saying that either.  Hey, the “CPP Bump” as it’s known industry wide, has really helped a lot of careers … according to our own research (which is proprietary and we won’t be sharing with the class.)

Sure, it could be part strategic self-serving scheduling on our part back in March.  It COULD be part coincidence.  And sure, an argument could be made that these things have come about due to a life time of hard work by Tony and him being one of the best comics to ever come out of the greatest city for stand-up comedy ever.  BUT his “Life Time Achievement” award from Jim McCue & The Boston Comedy Festival this year DID happen after being on our podcast.  His ridiculously funny Comedy Dynamics special, “Wait Till You Hear This” did come out on Apple TV, Amazon Prime (and dozens of other places) AFTER he was on CPP.  Tony was also prominently featured on the very cool John Tobin Productions launch video for their “Lil Chucks” comedy club and also, when Jacques was in LA a few weeks ago, Tony did get to co-host with the very talented Gus Vireiros at The Yard Theater in Hollywood an amazing show with Bobcat Goldthwait, again all this happened AFTER having been on CPP ... and now, this Friday’s Wicket Funny CFP hosting headlining gig … come on.

A life-long love of theater has had Doris on stage for years.  Always active in local politics and local television – Doris’ standing in the Concord NH community really was a road block to pursuing the type of comedy she’s meant to tell … and it’s NOT for the pearl clutching faint of heart!

This rapping grandma exemplifies the “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” when you see the host hand her the mic on stage.  Nothing is off limits and no one is safe … ESPECIALLY that absolutely delightful Norm Ballard … Doris husband, uber driver, sounding board and her personal piñata (as Norm really sometimes takes a beating!)  Look up the term “good sport” and there you’ll find a picture of Norm.

Jacques has been lucky enough to be on line ups all over New England (Maine at Jim McCue shows at Smitty’s Cinema’s – In New Hampshire at Dave Rattigan’s shows At Murphy’s Tap Room and in Lowell MA at Greg Boggis Mondo Comedy Luna Theater Shows) don’t worry Vermont, you’re on our list!

Most Saturday’s Liam is at McCue’s Comedy Club in Portsmouth – Also a regular at Smitty’s Cinema’s (in Maine & NH) as well as City Winery in Boston to name a few places.  He is also an integral part of the Boston Comedy Festival production team.

After time in a college improv troop, Liam spend a few years in Los Angeles working the comedy scene (where he cross paths with our great friend of ours Sally Mullin’s - Sleazy Does It On Amazon Prime)

Liam’s material is very open, personal and relatable. He’s liked by and he cracks up all the big name comics (like Tony V) he works with and also goes out of his way to help the new comics (like Jacques) get stage time (as a comic and a host0 and is always so encouraging and supportive.  Between his kindness and being 6-6 and build like a lot 70s Buick station wagon, Liam exemplifies the term gentle giant … but I still wouldn’t want to heckle him.

A finalist in the 2024 Boston Comedy Festival – Joseph Katz chats with OUR Joe and Jacques about their mutual love for the Dick Van Dyke Show, Jack Benny and pre-Carson Tonight Show (Note: we all also LOVE Carson’s Tonight Show.)  Katz had a cable access (Daily Show) type program in high school, followed by his college radio comedy talk show at WMUL at UMass Lowell (about 3 miles from Jacques’ shack) – Comedy IS his life!  And his life is pretty good!

Katz falls somewhere between the great Emo Phillips and the Boston Legend Steven Wright.  An “absurdist” style of very smart humor with hard to see coming, sharp right turns.

The youngest comic on the finals stage at BCF this year and he’s only going to get more seasoned.  He is truly one to watch as he’s just that lucky break from becoming a nationally known comic.

From losing track of days while playing cards at the infamous Ding Ho comedy club in the early 80s to being the FIRST comedian to perform at Fenway Park (opening for pal Bill Burr in 2023), comedian and actor Tony V has been a Boston Legend for over 40 years.

TOMORROW March 25, 2024 at The City Winery in Boston as part of The Boston Comedy Festival, Tony will be getting his Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing all he has done and means to the City of Boston. If there was a fantasy draft of all the comic greats to come out of Boston, Tony is a first- round pick on everyone’s cards.

Joe and Jacques saw Tony V and his pal Bobcat at Off Cabot a couple weeks ago and it might have been funniest show they’ve ever seen (and they see lots of shows!)

As an actor, Tony’s been in features such as The Town (produced by former CP guest Bill Fay and it premiered also at Fenway) to his BFF’s Misfits and Monsters (in which Tony had a full body wax and was painted blue as is the law to play King Neptune) – Tony is also a beloved comedy teacher (just ask former guest Lauren Simms)!

And yes, Tony is a Boston comic over 40 so there was lots of talk about Dick Bucks and the word “integrity”.

Sure … Boston City Council for Boston’s 6tth District (2002-2010) and has been VP of Community Affairs at North Eastern Univ. since 2010 … but really … he’s never NOT been a key figure in the Boston comedy scene, which IS the great greatest comedy scene in the world.

Graduation Summa Cum Laude from the School Of Dick Doherty (and … AND … The Connecticut School Of Broadcasting) John learned how to run shows, treat people and maybe NOT pay comics using your own made up currency that they can then mimeograph!  (Long live the 3 Dollar Dick Bucks)

From Boston legend Don Gavin to International rock star comic Bill Burr … If you told a joke in Boston in the last 35+ years, you told it at a club or show that John was producing.

A co-founder of the Boston Comedy Festival in 2000 to the new Boston Comedy Awards he started this year, John never stops creating new ways to help grow the scene.  John takes pride and how more and more inclusive the Boston comedy scene is, showcasing more female comics, more comics who are POC and part of the LGBTQ1A+ community.

We’ve been so lucky to have some many hilarious comics on the podcast … none where funnier or hand better BTS comedy stories then John.

Ronaldo.  Jacques pulls him from school early, get his snacks ready … paid for the MLS season pass on Apple TV … only to see them both sitting this game out. BBBBOOOOOOO!!!!

But at least we all have Taylor Swift in the superbowl cause according to the right …it’s all a biden/nfl plan to help Joe win by …you know … it’s too stupid to even type … but we at CPP truly think Taylor is just a great person and we are delighted to see her success … and her boyfriend is also dreamy.

Ted the prequal to … Ted now streaming (which STARS Jacques pal, Scott Grimes as a 1993 typical … slightly racist … Boston Dad.)  It’s fantastic.  Joe also insist all watch the Netflix doc, “We Are The World” about the recording of that song … We Are The World.

Are we bias? Yes. 

Is Maria a dear friend Biff and Jacques have admired and have skated with for close to 3 decades? Yes.

So, when WE say, the contributions to woman’s hockey Maria has made since the early 80’s (on and off the ice) truly make her the shoulders every proceeding generations is standing on … that’s expected. But when writers from The Hockey News, ESPN and USA Hockey laud over her like we do … you know it’s true.

From being only 1 of 2 girls in organized checking hockey in Connecticut in the mid-70’s to Yale teammates labeling her “The Franchise” in the 80’s to being on the 1st USA Woman’s National Team in 1990 (winning Silver in Ottawa) Maria (who still plays) had an amazing playing career and since 2011 is having equally impressive and important career as a hockey executive.

Maria and the NHLPA are leading the way in professional sports with the first of its kind program: First Line.  A player driven mental health program that strives to teach players about topics such as depression, anxiety, substance use and self-harm.  To hear the pride and passion in Maria’s voice talking about this program lets you know as great a player and lawyer she is … she’s even a better person.

We’re calling this PART ONE as we’d love Maria to come back on soon and maybe with her mom and dad who were way ahead of the curve on inclusion and diversity in hockey and in life.

Biff – Successful year of reconnections (having gone to his HS reunion in Hawaii), reconnected with old friends in Japan when he took his son on a trip to the home land (his sons first trip to the land of the rising Sun.)  AND … Biff got a sweet new rescue puppy (that’s about 120lbs now) and yeah she barks a things at night but that’s her job and she super sweet! The first two film companies Bill worked for out of college went bankrupt … and then he learned to fly a plane to be Hollywood’s man on the ground in Africa ... along the way working with folks like James Cameron for (politely putting it) eccentric film maker Rodger Corman to producing such block busters The Patriot and Independence Day with Director Roland Emmerich.

Along the way ACCIDENTLY doubling his 24-year-old selves lives saving by making a 3-day investment based on getting to see a sneak preview of Back To The Future

Bill (and partner Thomas Toll) created Legendary Pictures in 2000 with a plan for a slate of big budget (largely Superhero / Action) films … Along the way just for giggles … also produced the Hangover (well for giggles and 470m at Box office making it largest grossing rated R comedy in history.)

Bill also talks his favorite project, a small indy sci fi horror called Replicate … well favorite project Jacques was an associate producer on.

Bill did fly to see Jacques she he was living in Qatar in 2026 … and in Qatar gave college lectures and gave road map to finance minister of how too get their country on the film making map.

Bill currently is CEO of Steric Systems – a company that has developed a electronic process of smoothing liquor and spirits at distilleries. 

Steric Systems has grown exponentially over last few years … which leaves very little time for the other new company Bill started with his brother … a Salmon spread they’ve made for friends and family for years … at a few pound batches at a time … now scaling up (pun intended) to 7500 lbs test with a national food chain retailer. 

Bill and Jacques now have the stage show rights to the 1999 movie Happy Texas and hope to have a 6 weeks test run (maybe in Seattle) next fall.  To be clear … BILL has the rights, Jacques just loves the movie and wants to work on the play!

When we asked when Brian quite his day job and became a full-time comic … on the zoom he held up a circuit board he was designing and told us he hasn’t!  He still owns his company and can’t ever stop building stuff!

Brain IS looking forward to (mostly) retiring and doing more shows.  Maybe the cruise circuit is in his future.  Huge thanks to Brian’s MUCH better half (Nikki) for getting his zoom up and work out and for jumping in aa couple times and being AWESOME!

So part 2 of our talk with long time pal Hafen (allegedly) zooming in from Sweden where (allegedly) he has become a citizen.

We get more into the weeds where I put the case out there that this guy … who has ALL the intangibles a government toppling clandestine black ops off the books organization would recruit – SO well rounded with degree in mechanical engineering / applied physics from top university … near 40 years of programing (hacking) and (alleged) Masters in climate science, speaks several languages, charming, good looking, no drug/alcohol issues, no ex-wife or kids, very little immediate family … works in field where totally plausible to drop off grid globally and be out of reach without raising any red flags for weeks … months …

In 6 months … if Joe, Biff and Jacques haven’t meet their collective demise in some weird bizarre strangely coincidental manor … and Haf hasn’t fallen off the flat earth on a mission … we will circle back and Biff and Joe solo will chat with Haf and see what questions and conclusions they come back with.

Joe first met Hafen when they were in Jacques’ Starter Wedding together in 1999 (bit of talk about that infamous wedding event on this episode.)

THIS is our first 2-part episode.  Part 2 will drop next week.

It was decided that we will have Hafen back in a few months to let Biff and Joe formulate more questions and ponder am I (attempting) to be funny or is it possible Hafen is Jason Bourne.  As Jacques said … He loves Hafen.  He’s closer to Hafen then his own brother.  He has no idea who Hafen is.

Jacques case is this:  Since 2004 Hafen left LA to allegedly go back to grad school in Washington in his early 30s for a masters in weather mapping that would take him to far reaching points on globe.  Hafen has little immediate family.  Is good looking and charming.  Super strong and a good athlete.  Degree from top engineering college in Applied Physics and mechanical engineering.  Self-taught computer expert (started in the 80’s) and is at highest level programing and hacking, Speaks a few languages. Has called several countries on 3 continents “Home” in last decade.  His career (and starting with grad school in 04) has him in remote areas and places where power going out for days is the norm … or he’s on insane deadline plus 9-hour time zones different so we can’t talk for days/weeks … in other words plausible deniability of being off the grid while doing M.I.5 stuff in Africa.

Paul talks his path to watching Food Network saying to himself (and his wife) I can do that … to a couple years later WINNING Food Channels 2019s Carving Championship… toughest part (spoiler alert) he won it in 2018 but it didn’t air for a year so had to keep quiet about it the whole time!

Joe’s under the weather and Biff has grown up stuff so the for mentioned lovely and talented (and former guest) Mr. Greg Boggis stepped in to co-host this episode with Jacques.

Lauren on somewhat of a whim and maybe dealing with a mid-life awakening in 2019 decided to check out Boston comic legend Tony V’s classes … and just as she nailed her graduation showcase … in the first week of March 2020…. Well … you know … Covid.

Now this mom of two teen girls juggles all that insanity as she builds her comedy (and hosting) career in the very competitive (yet surprisingly supportive) New England comedy circuit.  Lauren’s goals are focused well beyond the north east corridor!

Greg had some great insights and tips as a veteran comic, comedy show producer and host.

This was a super fun chat.  Jacques plans to rope Joe (if he survives this bug) to see Lauren host at Wicket Funny Comedy at The China Blossom in North Andover THIS Saturday, Sept. 23rd with headliner Tony V and of course we will be at Luna Theater in Lowell for Greg’s monthly Mondo Comedy on Thursday Sept. 28!

Jacques met Lauren in LA a few weeks ago when they were both featured at an amazing show at Tao Comedy.

Lots of Lauren’s hysterical bits are pulled from growing up very Jersey Italian in a very Jersey Italian town … while also being very Canadian. Mike is the ONLY comic we've had on who is willing to honestly answer the biggest question facing Boston (New England based) comedians: Knights of Columbus or VFW shows!

Also, turns out Mike's closest friends, call him Steve. Wait. What's that?  They don't.  Huh ... 

Over the last year, we've had so many well-known New England based headlining comics, all of who point to Mike as one of their favorite comics AND ALSO one of (if not, THE) show producer they most like to work with!  Jacques also has becoming pals with a dozen plus comics, climbing the ladder, who started off as pupils at Mike's comedy classes and workshops.  Jacques will soon be an (official) pupil of Mike's as Mike will soon be running AT THE REQUEST of club owners, a "here's how not to suck as a host" work shop. I'm sure Mike will call it something more professional but that what it will be.

A personal hero of ours, Dante the Comic (Rusciolelli) zooms in (from the very cool Hollywood Forever Cemetery) to chat with Joe and Jacques about… SO MUCH. 

Danta is a headlining (national and internationally) touring comic for 36 years.  We chat with him about balancing his career as a comedian, as a manager-promoter and co-owner of Golden Artist Entertainment (which he owns and runs with his comedian/writer wife Rebekah Kochan) … as a producers/writer of profitable horror movies and arguably the most important hat he wears (aside from “dad” and “husband”) he relentless social justice work.  Dante is constantly patrolling the Hollywood (LA) streets documenting the never-ending brutality of the LAPD.

We also chat the amazing 250+ and on-going, “Dante’s Comedy Tips”  he post that is basically a FREE masters class Dante puts out for ALL LEVELS of comics from the open mic-ers to the house hold names with multiple specials on Netflix.  How the business works, how to find, build, grow your material, contacts and brand.

In what we’re referring to as Lloyd’s first visit to CPP-land (as we hope he becomes a regular) we chat his comic and karaoke performer path and how he found ways to grow his comedy brand over the pandemic and really made that a year of endless nation wide networking he wouldn’t have been able to have done without lock down.  His relentless positive demeanor is inspiring.  A stranger is a friend he hasn’t met yet.

Sharp has dealt with a lot and overcome so much in his life (which we will dive into on future podcast with him!  In the meantime .. go see live comedy as much as you can … and try to make it a night Lloyd is rocking the mic.

Going from being a part of the Post Punk scene to being a staple of … if not a founder of, the industrial music movement- NIN, Ministry, Killing Joke, Pigface … Martin, whose published several books on the music industry and is currently the coordinator of music industry studies at Millikin University … but we had him on to chat his … HIS … Museum of Post Punk and Industrial Music in Chicago!

Management (aka Jacques’ wife) went to, met and hung out with Martin on her last work trip to Chicago a couple months ago.  She was given the heads up on the museum from fellow Duran Duran friend of hers who was also in Chicago at the time and they met up at museum on way to Depeche Mode that night.

We’d like to think this episode as a part one of many episodes to come with Martin. Martin is a riot.  So smart. So accomplished and his passion for music and the museum is infectious!

Jacques pretty much gave up perusing a career in hockey in lieu of becoming a drummer based on seeing NIN’s, “Head Like A Hole” video on 120 Minutes on MTV at 2am in the summer 1989 … Martin was one of the two drummers in that video!

Martin says he’s looking forward to us coming to see the museum this summer … but when he finds Jacques moved in and is living in a storage closet there … he might regret that invite!

Ronak has gotten at least 25 shows on the air!  Shows she’s either created, curated or help develop.  It might be hard to see the lawyer degree and MBA hanging on her wall behind the vintage Boba Fett action figure she owns!

Paul’s stoic, calm delivery and unwavering commitment to his bits belies how long he’s been in the game of comedy.

The (deserved) admiration and respect from those in the New England comedy scene potential have Paul playing the role of the Pied Piper with a half dozen, maybe even six, other comics heading out to Denver with him sometime in the near future. (Note to self, call Ronak from Sideshow #73 8/9/21 and see if we can lock up the shows rights to this road trip and comics Big Brother house Paul’s trying to curate!)

Jacques cross paths with Paul a few months ago and will forever be thankful to how supportive Paul and Nick were to Jacques son at his 2nd mic (the one they run) at Winter Hill Brewery in Somerville MA

Paul MIGHT at one point, have a thanks to Joe for maybe writing one of Paul’s killer jokes down the road (pay attention around 45:30!)

From Clemson U, to couch surfing and designing carcuss boxes in between, Paul’s had a lot of real-life experiences to pull his comedy from and we are really excited to see what unfolds from him over the next couple years!

Mike & Jacques worked on DOZENS of amazing music DVD projects together and it was Mike doing that lead to Jacques being Billy Ray Cyrus quasi-manager and producing a half dozen of his videos, two TV specials, a TV pilot and DOZENS of NFL/NASCAR anthems/concerts.

The two talk Mike’s career as a singer/song writer starting in Mike’s teen-years (his first break writing and singing on Marvel Comic Records themed Spider-Man album.  Mike song “Peter Stays And Spidy Goes” is a well know anthem in the 70s SpiderVerse.  SADLY Joe wasn’t here talk about Mike singing on the 1984 Atari Pole Position Commercial!

Mike and Jacques give shout outs to many “unindicted co-conspirators” they’ve got to meet along the way… Like Joni Mitchell and music exec legend Bob Mercer… No .. not kidding.

Mike and Jacques relationships has survived trying times … like the time Mike picked Jacques up to drive 8 hours to Phoenix where Jacques booked Mike to do an anthem with the NHL Coyotes … sounds great but Mike got to Jacques’ house moments after the NE Patriots suffered one of worse losses in the Brady Era and Jacques was in a horrible mood and didn't take to Mike the entire ride … THEN … Jacques snoring lead to Mike having to get another room in the middle of the night!

Jacques actually got a really honest to goodness phone book in the mail this week and also finding (much to Joe’s chagrin) the show breakdown and opening skit he was pitching local cable company when Joe mistakenly asked him about simply doing a podcast back in 2016!

Joe and Jacques saw Jim at Luna Theater (inside Mill 5 in Lowell) at Greg Boggis’ Mondo Comedy.  His written bits killed and his crowd work slayed!  Jim talks about developing those two skills, being a dad and advice to fledging comings getting started … you know … like Jacques.

And being a insanely small world … Jim and Jacques turns out not just went to Fitchburg State at same time … but in October of 1989 were both on ice together trying out for the college hockey team!
