Anthology Church is a new church in Charles Town, WV for people who hope there’s more to their story. Each episode features hopeful, practical teaching and honest conversations about real life, all centered on the radical love of Jesus and the better way of living we find in Him. Our dream is to create a welcoming place to explore faith, find community, and follow Jesus together.

Most of us learned “sorry” on the playground. But grown-up damage needs grown-up repair. In this 4-week series, we’ll learn how Jesus trains us to move beyond vague apologies into confession, responsibility, restitution, real change, and forgiveness—so our homes and friendships can heal instead of just “moving on.”

-------------------

January is when people want a reset. But most resets die by Wednesday—because life doesn’t change just because you want it to. It changes when you start making different choices in the places you usually go on autopilot: what you say when you’re irritated, what you do when you’re tired, how you handle money stress, how you deal with anger, and what you reach for when no one’s watching.

In this series we’re going to spend a month in Proverbs—which is basically God’s “real life” wisdom. Not cheesy quotes. Not religious vibes. Wisdom is skill for living: it helps you make decisions that don’t wreck your future, your home, or the people you love.

Each week we’ll pair Proverbs with an Old Testament story—because wisdom isn’t just a concept, it’s a path people actually walked. You’ll see what happens when someone listens to the right voice… and what happens when they don’t.

And we’ll keep it practical: every week you’ll get one clear next step you can actually do. We’ll also launch a 21-Day Groundwork Challenge—short daily readings + honest prayer—so Sunday doesn’t stay Sunday.
This isn’t “try harder so God likes you.” The point is to get close to Jesus, because He doesn’t just give advice—He leads people into a new way of life.</itunes:summary>

Joy isn’t just something that happens when life feels good—it’s a decision to trust Jesus in the middle of unmet expectations. The angels’ announcement to the shepherds shows us that great joy can break in right where life feels ordinary or hard.

Advent is all about waiting—waiting for light in the dark, for good news in bad headlines, for God to show up when things feel stuck. From the very beginning, followers of Jesus set aside these weeks to slow down, reflect, and prepare their hearts for the arrival of a Savior.

The Arrival is a four-week journey through the themes of Advent—Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love—for people who don’t always feel any of those in December. Together we’ll see that Christmas isn’t just a sweet story or a yearly tradition; it’s the moment God stepped into real exhaustion, real anxiety, real disappointment, and real shame with real good news.

We’ll discover that hope has a name, peace has a source, joy is closer than we think, and love is far more personal than we imagined. Jesus doesn’t wait for us to get it together—He arrives right where we actually are and invites us into a better story.

<itunes:summary>This speaks to anyone stuck in long-term struggle—health issues, unanswered prayers, strained relationships, mental health battles. When we feel “learned hopelessness,” God is often still working behind the scenes, like He did in the 400 silent years before Jesus’ birth.
--------
Advent is all about waiting—waiting for light in the dark, for good news in bad headlines, for God to show up when things feel stuck.
Jesus doesn’t wait for us to get it together—He arrives right where we actually are and invites us into a better story.</itunes:summary>

The book of 1 Timothy is a letter from Paul to a young pastor trying to build something strong in a world that was constantly shifting. At its core, it’s not just about how to run a church — it’s about how to live as the family of God in every part of life.

This five-week series, Anchored, helps us see that the same truths that build a healthy church also build healthy homes, marriages, friendships, and communities. What Paul teaches Timothy about grace, truth, character, and perseverance applies not only to Sunday mornings but to dinner tables, workplaces, and every relationship we touch.

Together, we’ll discover that being anchored means staying rooted in God’s story — in our faith, our families, and our neighborhoods — so we can live bold, adventurous lives that bring stability and hope to a world that’s still drifting.
