<itunes:summary>Comparison can quietly steal our contentment, discourage our progress, and distract us from following God’s direction. In this episode, we explore five biblical principles:

1. Stop measuring your progress against others. God calls us to examine our own faithfulness, not measure our lives against someone else’s accomplishments.

2. Recognize when comparison creates impatience. Don’t allow someone else’s success to make you dissatisfied with your own journey.

3. Redefine what success really means. Biblical success is rooted in faithful stewardship and obedience to God, not wealth, recognition, or influence.

4. Don’t let your circumstances define your usefulness. Your limitations, struggles, and past experiences do not place you beyond the reach of God’s grace.

5. Keep your eyes on Jesus and take the next step of obedience. Like Peter in John 21, we must learn to focus on following Christ rather than becoming distracted by what He’s doing in someone else’s life.

Key Takeaway: Don’t become so consumed with the life you wish you had that you neglect to follow God in the life you’re living.</itunes:summary>

Fear of failure can keep us from applying, trying, starting, obeying, or even becoming beginners because we’re afraid of what will happen if things don’t work out. But sometimes the deeper fear isn’t failure at all; it’s what we’ve decided failure says about us.

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra explores how to overcome the fear of failure and move forward in faith. We’ll talk about separating outcomes from identity, recognizing when fear is rooted in pride or insecurity, becoming teachable enough to learn from what didn’t work, and trusting God when the outcome looks different from what we expected.

Through the stories of Moses, David, and other biblical truths, we’ll also look at why faith doesn’t require certainty, how remembering God’s past faithfulness can disarm fear, and why a closed door isn’t always a failure, sometimes it’s refinement, protection, or redirection.

Hebrews 11:1 tells us that faith is “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” When fear starts predicting everything that could go wrong, we can answer it with what we already know about God: His promises, His character, His Word, and His history of faithfulness.

<itunes:summary>Fear of failure often isn’t really about failing, it’s about what we’re afraid failure will say about us.

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra explores how our identity in Christ, humility, God’s promises, and remembering His past faithfulness can help us move forward even when the outcome is uncertain. Learn why faith doesn’t require fearlessness, why failure can become information instead of identity, and how to recognize when a closed door may actually be God’s redirection.

You don’t have to know that you will succeed before you obey God. Your responsibility is faithfulness. God handles the outcome.

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra explores why biblical love is so much more than an emotion. Through the picture of a house, the simple example of stopping at a red light, and the biblical definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13, we unpack what it means to let love govern us; even when anger, hurt, disappointment, fear, or grief are present.

We’ll talk about the difference between feelings and biblical love, what “charity” and agape love mean in 1 Corinthians 13, why the strength of a feeling does not determine its authority, and how love should shape our marriages, friendships, parenting, boundaries, and relationships with others.

Most importantly, we’ll look at what happens when we begin measuring God’s love by how our circumstances make us feel.

God doesn’t become love when you feel loved. God is love.

<itunes:summary>Love can involve powerful emotions, but biblical love was never meant to be governed by them.

In this episode, Tyra explores 1 Corinthians 13 and the biblical meaning of love, including agape love, “charity,” and what Scripture means when it says love never fails. Discover why anger, hurt, fear, grief, and disappointment can be real without becoming our authority—and why walking in love sometimes means choosing God’s way even when our feelings are pulling us somewhere else.

What does it really mean to build a Christian home?

It’s more than going to church on Sunday or having a Bible in the house. A Christ-centered home is built in the everyday moments; like how we pray, how we handle conflict, how we apologize, how we make decisions, how we serve others, and how we teach our children to walk with God for themselves.

In this episode of The Living Well, I’m sharing practical daily faith practices we use in our own family, including teaching our children how to pray, bringing Scripture into real-life situations, making everyday conversations opportunities for discipleship, creating an atmosphere of worship, practicing forgiveness and humility, and serving others together.

We’ll also look more closely at Joshua’s declaration: “…as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” — Joshua 24:15 KJV

Because that Scripture is more than something beautiful to hang on the wall. It’s a decision about the kind of home we’re building.

If you want your faith to become more than something your family talks about and become something you actually live together—this episode is for you.

In this episode of The Living Well, Tyra Archie shares biblical and practical ways to find peace when anxiety feels louder than faith. Through personal experiences with ministry transitions, financial uncertainty, and seasons of waiting on God, Tyra explores what it really means to trust God when you don’t know what happens next.

You’ll learn how to recognize when fear is stealing your focus, surrender what you can’t control, renew your mind through Scripture, worship through worry, stay connected to godly community, and rest in God’s presence.

Most importantly, you’ll be reminded that peace doesn’t have to wait for the storm to end. God’s peace can meet you right in the middle of it.
