Just your everyday, working middle-class, mom and wife navigating daily life. No celeb status, no nannies, no assistants. Just me and my Rolodex of thoughts; “Dear Diary” gone digital. So if you’re listening and can relate, let’s cry about the week, question what’s happening around us, laugh through the pain, and wine about whatever else comes our way, together! Bottoms up 🍷

* Fall seven times, get up eight
* A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn
* Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending - Carl Bard
* Every sunset is an opportunity to reset - Richie Norton
* Reset, refocus, readjust, restart as many times as you need to. Just never give up.

Hopefully you find one of those motivating enough to reignite what you attempted. And if you’re somebody who hasn’t dropped the new year resolution ball…well whoop-dee-doo. 🤣

This episode displays how moments within my upbringing played a role in not only how I saw myself, but what I thought it looked like attempting to fit into a world who wanted me to pick sides. Now as an adult I think about some of the struggles that stemmed from straddling the line of cultures. I think about how I’m still growing into myself till this day. Most importantly, ensuring all my kids understand how they may be viewed in society and helping my daughters navigate self acceptance so they can love themselves just the way they are!

Let’s take a moment to question what’s happening in the world around us. What happened to “the village”? Why are situations like this become the norm? And my thoughts on how to help hold accountability where accountability starts…the parents.
