In this episode, we recap the 2026 Muskie Max with the Leopardi family. This years event was held at Thiel College and it was truly an awesome show. We cover how the setup went this year, hunky hauls and a weekend recap. Towards the end, Todd addresses the heating issue in the venue.

We learn that is possible for Swinkie to behave at a Muskie show, however, Nate Bud cannot. Nick threw tickle punches, Wiley's caught Ryan, Owen survived the plague and Eli finds a way to take advantage of that Leo buy 5 get 1 free deal from 3000 miles away. Joey at some point crashes a drone, Todd and Dale knock their seminar out of the park and Lauri gets to talk about one of her favorite fishing stories. It was great hanging out with the Leo fam! Great job on Muskie Max Leo's, we are all pumped for Muskie Max 2027!

In episode we recap two recent Three Rivers Chapter 16 Muskies Inc tournaments in our area. We have three local boys on to give us their backgrounds, Andrew Arnold, Eric Bartolomeo and Greg Colosimo. Andrew, Bart and Greg tell us a little about how they got started Muskie fishing, how they fish now and how their experiences were at the Lake Arthur tournament. Andrew placed second with Ryan Connelly and Bart and Greg took first. We also recap the Chapter 16 youth outing also held at lake Arthur. The Hunks Hammer was present to secure 2nd place for his youth fisherman Shane Duncan only missing first by 1/8 inch. Swinkie talks about cheating on Muskies with ocean fish, Nate was dragging ass, Ryan was in the middle of breakfast and Nick was just happy that i pronounced his last name correctly. E52 - It’s Musky Thyme, with Chef Ryan Chavara

In this episode, we talk to a local friend, breakfast sandwich guru, and budding musky fisherman, Ryan Chavara. Ryan owns and operates Thyme Machine, a highly sought-after breakfast sandwich cart in Bloomfield (a popular neighborhood in Pittsburgh for you non-yinzers). Ryan shares some of the history behind Thyme Machine, as well as an inspirational story about how and why he found fishing so late in his life by most standards. Ryan tells us the interesting and analytical angle he took to teaching himself how to fish in a rather short period of time (a mindset which quickly led him to finding a passion for musky). Ryan tells us some of the most constructive things he learned when he was starting out, and on the other hand, some of the more destructive things that may have initially led him in the wrong direction. Ryan eventually asks us some of his own questions, and also shares an interesting outlook on why he doesn’t think he’s quite ready to fully appreciate a destination musky trip. We wind down by discussing some advice for those intimidated by taking the leap into musky fishing or just intimidated by networking with fellow musky fisherman.
