Episode 69 Prescription For Children Days 6-10

I've heard there is no book on "how to raise a child". I disagree. There is, but we find it hard to do God's way as the pressure to be like everyone sets in.

Here are a few things covered in this short episode:

Strong defenses against the ungodly ways of this world can be gained in families, especially large ones.

Can you say, like the man spoken of in this episode, you know who knit you together in your mother's womb?

This man, even upon losing his 10 children, did not turn away from his maker. He was a father who knew love and the great love he had from a father.

Do you only love your parents or parent when they give you the things you want, yet turn around and talk bad and behave poorly because you don't get your way?

Discipline and boundaries are good for us. A good parent will provide discipline and set boundaries, all out of love for their child.

Episode 68 Prescription For Children Days 1-5

They say there is no book on how to raise children. I agree somewhat, but there is a prescription from the Great Physician to take in that will help avoid many of what I will label "childhood diseases brought on by sin". The disease of entitlement, the disease of selfishness, the diseases of disrespect, the disease of pride, the disease of laziness. I think you get the picture. And unfortunately, you may have come into contact with not just children, but adults as well, with these "diseases"

That will be addressed in further episodes. Today's episode is about knowing who created you and how you are the one-of-a-kind you that the Great Physician knows inside and out. He always knows what treatment we need.

He knows all about you and can help you as you grow, and if you're a parent struggling with raising children, He will guide you in raising children His Way.

Why would a wife want to "submit" to her husband? Why would you want to submit to anyone? If you are a follower of Jesus Christ how do you feel about submission?

Marriage is wonderful. Marriage is not always easy. If you are married, have you ever blamed your spouse for something, and then in return, they blamed you for something? Now the fight is on.

In this episode, we see a husband blaming his wife for something he willingly did, but she doesn't blame him. It's easy to play the blame game when we are guilty of something. Thank God He knows when we mess up.

Don't be fooled and yield to the deceit and lies the world says about marriage. Don't let yourself be deceived by what looks good, but what can bring death to your marriage.

Wives, do you know your responsibilities in marriage? Husbands, do you know your responsibilities? Once you take on that title "Husband" or "Wife," it brings responsibilities. Marriage is a serious commitment. God's way for a marriage, once understood, brings much joy to a heart that belongs to God.

Episode 56 Prescription For Anger Days 28-30

It's important to apply what is being learned. In this episode, tools are given to evaluate one's progress after taking the 30 days of this prescription.

How wonderful to do as Paul is asking for people to do. Those belonging to God, to lift up holy hands in prayer without anger or disputing. How can we have holy hands if we are angry with one another who are on the same team? It leads to destruction.

I had to add Psalm 149 because we are told God gives us a weapon to use.

Episode 55 Prescription For Anger Days 20-28

In the episode I discuss the importance of letting anger go before it takes root in your life. Wise words are given and we are told to be "slow to anger", and how God is patient.

This prescription goes well with the prescription for love. When releasing your anger and giving it to God, you will be able to rejoice. You can rejoice "in the morning" when you rid anger in your heart and mind before going to sleep each night.

We discussed in episode 52 the effects of anger. Anger can keep you awake at night. Don't allow it to get a foothold on your life. Freedom comes as anger leaves.

What life does God intend for those who have come to Him through Jesus? Anger does not allow His righteousness to shine. Are you stumbling in the darkness of anger? Do you need to allow God light to shine so you can pick up those things and walk freely in His righteousness?

Anger swelling up among family members, including the family of God will destroy each other. Don't allow this to happen. Don't allow others actions to spark the flame of anger and allow it to get out of control.

"Say this, not that". Can you give examples of things you could speak differently to show the love of God to another person. Maybe it's the way you talk to yourself. Episode 41 Prescription for Speech days 11-15

Speech can be a problem for many people. You may not be sure what to say or when to say it when something is really bothering you. A big part of how we speak is exactly that.....how we say things. One thing we touch on in this episode is COMPLAINING. Do you tend to complain about things or people?

Communication is vital. Proper communication can bring life to situations that seemed hopeless. It's important how we speak to each other and even to ourselves. How often do you communicate with God throughout your day? Communicating with God about your circumstances and the people in your life will help you communicate with everyone else in the way God blesses.

We mess up sometimes. We say and do things contrary to God's ways. What do we do about it then? Forgiveness comes into play. We don't have to live in condemnation. When you are truly sorry and ask a person for forgiveness and you aren't forgiven, what do you do? We discuss that in this episode. What do you do when you or a loved one is sick? Do you seek out a healer? To what extreme do you go to when your child is sick (or even your pet?).

Jesus, the great Physician, was sought after for healing. In this situation, it was a father who sought out the healing for his son.

Jesus spoke life, and the father, who was a nobleman, believed His Words. The nobleman was told by his servants the exact time the fever left, and the child was made well. The father knew it was the exact moment Jesus spoke life into his son. What Jesus said was fulfilled.

Prescription for Speech is needed daily. How we speak to others and what is spoken to us can make a huge impact on a person's life. Just listen to this podcast and see the difference it made to those hearing what Jesus spoke and they in return spoke.

Around minute seven I believe I mis-spoke. There wasn't true hate among the Jews and Samaritans just disagreements on how to worship God. The true problem was in talking to a woman. Praise God today men and women can have open discussions without judgement. There are boundaries in how men and women communicate. I will leave that here for another time.

Medical challenges can cause us to fear. Some fear the treatments they must undergo to prolong life. Some fear the unknown that comes with many diseases. It's essential to educate yourself and advocate for yourself, as Nancy explains in this podcast. She agreed to be a guest because if this information can help one person, she wants to do that! It was not easy what she had to go through to do what she knew was best for her. She felt she was fighting at times against some doctors.

I did ask her about the cost, but what is your life worth?

She refers to many books that helped her, and the Believe Big non-profit Christian organization helped her tremendously. She does not blame God for the cancer that came upon her; she blames herself for not taking care of her body and for not handling stress in godly ways.

Amy K. a friend of mine who his a recovering addict answered my question are you afraid of God? She was happy to share some of her story as I always stayed in touch with her to see how she was doing. I knew she no longer had a mom in her life and I was shocked to hear what her mothers last words to her were. It brought tears. Only God could have brought us to the church we went on Sunday. We weren't trying to go to that church and since it was the only one in her town we could find we went and we were 30 minutes late. The message was from Luke chapter 8 about the man called Legion that that Jesus helped and healed from the torment of demons on him. The man wanted then to go with Jesus, but Jesus asked him to go back and tell others what he had done for him. Amy wanted to do the same when I asked if she would be a guest on the podcast.

When I asked her if she feared God, I was blown away by her answer. I told her (she has the Jesus Rx Prescription for life) that the Prescription for Fear goes over the right kind of fear to have in regards to God. I am overjoyed at seeing God active and working in peoples lives. Know he is working in yours too.

Episode 27 The four letter "F" Word

You may know or be the person who is under the spirit of this "F" Word...FEAR. It is a horrible way to live. I know. I did it for several years. How did I break free? With the Prescription for Fear given to me by God and able to share with others in the JesusRx Prescription for life work book.

Fear is not ALWAYS A LIAR. Eva gives examples, but it's hard to explain how every day things could cause fear, especially as she continued to operate in it. Maybe you can relate. If you are living in a constant state of "what if's" and those "what if's" are negative you can be helped with God's Word. Like Eva, you have to believe it. The day she heard God tell her she didn't believe Him it cut her as the word said....like a two edged sword.

The next few episodes will cover some of the JesusRx prescription for life chapter 6. Stay tuned, learn what appropriate fear is and how to overcome the fear stopping you from living a life of freedom. The Prescription for Doubt and Fear go hand in hand. Episode 26: How old are you and how many prescriptions do you take? Brooke says none!

GOAL: not to be on any long-term prescription medication when I'm in my 70s and beyond!

Eva interviewed Melinda and Brooke. Melinda and Brooke eat differently, believe in staying active, eating as well as they can, and keeping stress to a minimum. Some things they have in common include horses, being in their 70s, not taking care of themselves in the past, being at healthy weights now, and having lived in the desert for about 30 years.

If you listen to episode 25, where Melinda explains what she does for her health and to avoid prescription medications, and compare it to what Brooke says in this episode, you will see that they are doing different things to avoid prescription medications. It's not a one size fits all when it comes to health. This is to show you that we are all different and not every "diet" works for everyone. Also, no matter what you have gone through, you can find healthy ways to cope to keep you on track for no prescription medications if you are not currently on any.

If you want to stay off prescription medications long term, discuss that with your doctor and ask them if they know of healthier ways to stay healthy. Episode 25 Melinda NO MEDS! How old are you???

Eva met up with a couple of women in their 70s in her 55-plus walking group.

As they got to talking, they had a lot in common. They liked to treat themselves as naturally as possible when any illness occurred; better yet, they were more about prevention. How in their 70s are they not taking any prescription medications? Eva was interested, as she wanted to be like that when she "grows up."

This will show you it's okay if you haven't been eating well many years, it's never to late to start. Just check this story out! Brook and Melinda have horses in common but different eating styles. Episode 26 will be Brooke no meds!

The app Cronometer will help you not just count calories but also know what nutritional value you are getting. It charts vitamins and minerals from the foods you eat. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? Again, it's a tool to use food as medicine!

Episode 23 Calling Wisdom Foolishness

In Gods perfect timing this episode is coinciding with Easter. This is not where Eva thought she was going with the "Prescription for Wisdom" but Gods Wisdom, which the world calls foolishness has everything to do with what Christians celebrate at Easter.

From Saul, a Jew in the New Testament to another Jew you may have heard of, Bernard Nathanson (most notably from the 60's to the 80's) they both were revealed truth and came to know the wisdom of God.

Abortion, God's wisdom, redemption and religion is discussed bringing it all back to the reason and NEED for the Cross.

Grey clouds of Doubt and Sunny Days ahead

Some people like useful gifts and others, the mere fact you spend time with them is the best gift they could've received.

She encourages you to have a physical place to go, but maybe more important is where to go in your mind. What thoughts bring peace to you? What physical activities bring peace to you. Remember health is about the whole person.

God. our maker. knows peace in our human body and mind may be hard to obtain at times. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to come in and do His work and bring the peace and comfort as He was sent to do in our lives.

This is a long podcast and hear her me out to the end...oh yes I got quite passionate about this topic. I can't believe God sent me to the book of Job for the answer to the question- Can peace be found in the MIDST of a storm. Some of you know the story of Job. Some of you do not.

For anyone who has done an in depth study of Job I really hope you will send me an email and help me understand this book better. Let me know if it will be okay to share that information on my next episodes.

Episode 13 Peace follows forgiveness and brings health

In this episode you are asked to take notice of how you feel and how your body reacts when in a state of peace and when it is not.

We all do things when we are not at peace that we may not normally do when we are at peace. To have faith is to have peace.

It's hard to have peace when you don't know "what's next" or when a loved one has bad news. We need complete forgiveness before we can move into Peace! Our NEXT EPISODE is the "Prescription" for Peace. I hope many of you got through the first week of the new year in PEACE. Taking in the prescription for peace is a great way to start off your day, but first lets forgive if someone asks!

How many times are you supposed to forgive someone? What do you say if someone asks why they should forgive you? Forgiveness is not easy and this episode helps you see everyone is in need of forgiveness and why we should be forgiving.

to This episode is so you get to know a little more about me. It's important to know my background since I am going to talk about Jesus.

You will learn how I came to know Jesus. I hope it wasn't the same for you. I was raised in Baptist churches and later attended non denominational Bible teaching churches as an adult. I have been "damaged" by churches so I understand if you don't go to church but still want to stay close to Jesus. I have taken over 100 Bible study classes through different churches ranging from salvation, finance, children, marriage and covering each book of the Bible. This has not made me an expert, just someone who then desired to keep learning more and that is my desire for you. God's love is indescribable. I have worked with children in Vacation Bilbe Schools and Sunday School. I held Bible studies in my home with 12 to 15 women from different churches and have facilitated other group studies.

I have seen God work through His Word and know how it will help others looking for health, mind, body, and spirit.

I have authored a workbook : JesusRx the Prescription for life covering 12 life issues . Each "prescription" is a 4 week study giving you simple daily questions to answer and after 30 days you should see changes in your life. You will come to understand what role medication should play in your life.
