Kristina Anapau is an actress on the big and small screen. Born in Hawaii, Kristina Anapau spent her youth studying classical ballet, music and theatre. She graduated from high school at the age of 15 and, that same year, began her studies at The University of Hawaii. With dreams of pursuing a professional dance career, Anapau's life would soon take a fateful turn, as she was cast in Universal Television's, Escape from Atlantis (1997), landing her first professional starring role at the age of 16. Soon after, she relocated to Los Angeles where she continued to work steadily, both theatrically and commercially. At age 20, Kristina landed a recording contract with Hollywood Records and spent much of that year recording an album and opening for Destiny's Child on MTV's TRL Tour, but her true love and passion remained performing in film and television.

Anapau has trained and performed theatrically under the tutelage of The Royal Acadamy of Dramatic Art in London, and on the ballet front with American Ballet Theater and The Joffrey Ballet in New York City. She acted alongside Golden Globe winner Diane Venora and Greg German in ThinkFilm's independent feature, Self Medicated (2005), winner of over 35 international film awards. Anapau starred with Christina Ricci and Jesse Eisenberg in the Dimension Films' thriller, Cursed (2005), directed by Wes Craven, and shined as "Cassie Merteuil" in the Sony Pictures/Newmarket Films release, Cruel Intentions 3 (2004). She appeared in the films, Madison (2005), starring Jim Caviezel and Bruce Dern, as well as, the Lions Gate comedy, 100 Girls (2000). Her television credits are impressive as Kristina has recurred and guest starred in many noteworthy productions, including: True Blood (2008), The Glades (2010), House M.D. (2004), Monk (2002), CSI: NY (2004), Without a Trace (2002), Once and Again (1999), General Hospital (1963) and Knight Rider (2008). She also starred opposite popular comedian, Dane Cook, in the Sony Television produced pilot, Cooked (2005). Anapau is currently recurring on the hit HBO series, True Blood (2008), as the enchanting Maurella. She played "Galina" in Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan (2010), in which she acted opposite Oscar-winner Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis, Winona Ryder and Barbara Hershey. We will be seeing a lot of Anapau on the big screen in the coming months, with four features slated for release in 2013. Kristina recently completed the starring role in the feature film, Altergeist (2014), directed by Tedi Sarafian, and another starring role in the special ops action thriller, SEAL Patrol (2014). Anapau also co-produced and stars in the paranormal thriller, 5 Souls (2013), and plays opposite Tom Sizemore in, The Speak (2011). In her spare time, Anapau enjoys writing, traveling, skiing, and horseback riding. She is a contributing editorial writer for The Stndrd Magazine and The Hollywood Film Journal. Responsibilities she didn't seek and doesn't want. Nicole decides to keep Charlie the dog, but sell the house.                       Kevin Lucas has won many awards as both a performer and producer. Early success included placing 2nd in the United States in concert hall style solo percussion at the collegiate level in 1997 through the 'Music Teachers National Association'. Kevin is a former member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps where the front line keyboard ensemble earned the 1994 DCI World Championship for Percussion Ensemble. Kevin won both the Illinois State University and the Southern Illinois University classical solo concerto contests and performed with both orchestras as a marimba soloist, having competed against internationally successful pianists and string players. Over a one-week span, a cast of empathic musicians and vocalists breathed life into the tracks. Strings, a gospel choir and rich acoustic instruments illuminate the richness of Karrie’s expressive voice and luminous song craft.With the release of that CD, Karrie performed shows in a variety of locales between Los Angeles and Seattle, then traveled east to Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York and Ontario.                       Michael Bihovksy is a New York City-based performer, composer, writer, and director. He is best known for the viral YouTube video One Grain More, a Les Miserables parody about food allergies written by Michael, in which he also plays the role of Jean Valjean. "One Grain More" won the "Best of Faux: Audience Award" and "Best Short" in the Faux Film Festival, and has been hailed as "the funniest nutrition video ever made!" and "... a must, must, must watch!" Michael grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, where he began performing and playing piano at a very young age. In the years since, Michael has brought his trademark style and energy to such productions as RENT (Mark Cohen), Tick, Tick... Boom! (Jon), 42nd Street (Billy Lawlor), Titanic (Bandmaster Wallace Hartley), and many others. Michael has written the music, lyrics, and book for three musicals, including Fresh! (formerly The New Musical), a semi-autobiographical pop-rock musical which blends the craziness of the first-year college experience with the challenges of overcoming physical and emotional adversity. In 2010, Fresh! was selected as a finalist in the "Scene It! New York" competition, and presented Off-Broadway with Michael playing the role of himself (Michael). Michael's other musicals include Eclipse and Safe in Sound. Michael is also the composer for Blogologues, a New York City comedy show rated by CBS New York as one of "The 5 Best Things To Do In NYC Tonight," a "Weekend Pick" on NPR, and "The Best Indie Comedy in NYC" in The Village Voice's weekly series. The play will premiere as a staged reading in December 2014 at the Seller Theatre in Buffalo, NY, as the closing event of the JCC Book and Arts Fair. On screen, Michael has appeared in a number of acclaimed film projects, including the title role in Megillas Lester, a feature-length animation about a boy's misadventures on the Jewish holiday of Purim. Michael also starred "The Concert Guys," a comedy sketch co-written by Michael which aired at Lincoln Center in 2010. Michael is also a prominent health activist. In addition to the many health advocacy themes that have appeared in his artistic work, Michael has also been a recurring contributor to the Stanford Medical Journal's SCOPE Project (see Advocacy and Activism). He has also directed and starred in a series of benefit concerts for Alex's Lemonade Stand, a Philadelphia-based charity dedicated to helping cure childhood cancer, as well as for the Foundation for International Medical Relief of Children.                       Santiago x The Natural is an original alternative hip-hop duo comprised of producer/singer/songwriter Santiago and rapper/songwriter The Natural. They were named the Top Unsigned Artists by The Chicago Tribune, and their music has been featured on ESPN's First Take, Unite, Friday Night Fights, and the BCS National Championship game. Their single, “Warriors,” was adopted by professional and collegiate sports teams, including Notre Dame Football, and the Minnesota Swarm. Prior to making their duo official in 2011, Santiago worked as an architect and The Natural, an attorney at law. Santiago, a Native American, is indigenous to Guam and Louisiana, where he spent most of his life. The Natural grew up on the south side of Chicago in the Ida B. Wells housing projects. They met as undergraduates at The University of Notre Dame. Their combined efforts have catapulted them to share stages with Talib Kweli, Akon, Pusha T, Wyclef Jean, Mya, Cake, and other notable artists. They were recently tapped by Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) to be the main opening act for his upcoming Chicago show at The Metro. Performer – Christina Linhardt: Christina Linhardt has enjoyed an eclectic and versatile career as a concert singer, cross-over artist, actress, and dancer, working steadily throughout Southern California and Germany. She is most known for her "Classics to Cabaret" act (which was the headliner for the opening of the Grand Concert Hall Parksalle in Saxony, Germany), and her independently produced solo CDs, "Circus Sanctuary" and "Voodoo Princess" (both of which have "passed" into the Adult Contemporary commercial radio scene for holiday airplay).  As a dancer Christina traveled solo into remote regions of Western and Southern Africa to absorb grass-roots customary rhythms and dances, often learning directly from local villagers. I also had ambitions and a desire to serve my country, so my Mother told me that if I did not get accepted in to the US Naval Academy, we would move to Hollywood, and she would support my dream of becoming an Actor. Well, I was obviously accepted, and eventually chose to attend the US Naval Academy, and put my dream on hold. To satisfy my secret desire to act and perform, I tried out for, and made, the US Naval Academy Men’s Glee Club, hosted pep rallies, acted in plays, and participated in talent competitions. I graduated with a degree in Information Technology, and was commissioned as a US Naval Officer. I was stationed on two ships in Mayport, FL (USS John L Hall FFG-32 and USS Farragut DDG-99). I deployed overseas twice to over 20 countries. I transferred to Point Mugu, CA working at a Naval Satellite Operations Center and began chasing my dream of becoming an Actor. I am currently a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, but will end my contract with the military in June/July 2014.   My great passion in life, besides my family and friends, would be entertaining, being goofy, volunteering, photography, and living life to the fullest!  HEAR Now Festival:

                      The 2014 HEAR Now Festival will be a gathering place where the work of master storytellers is celebrated and shared. In addition, the Festival will expose its audiences to recent developments in audio preservation by showcasing newly restored and archived award-winning audio dramas. The Festival will offer live and recorded programming at local theaters and other venues in Kansas City. HEAR Now will also offer moderated discussions and panels for conversations and the exchange of new ideas -- an immersive experience in all aspects of the art and craft of audio fiction and sound art story-telling. Audio drama, audiobooks, recorded, and live story-telling -- sketches, poetry, spoken word -- alongside academic papers, juried competitions, and presentations on the physics of sound, as well as performance workshops, will round out this intensive listening event for the 2014 Hear Now Festival. We spoke with Sue Zizza and Robin Miles about the wonderful event.

                      Stevie Marco, composer, guitarist, and vocalist for the Rasta Rock Opera thanks the amazing musicians for putting their heart and soul into the Rasta Rock Opera debut album titled "Respect and Love Revolution”.

   Jack Engelhard is best known as the author of the novel “Indecent Proposal.” This book, with its high moral dilemma content (“what would you do for a million dollars”?), was translated into more than 22 languages and became a bestseller around the world. Later, it was turned into an equally famous movie of the same title starring Robert Redford and Demi Moore. Engelhard’s latest novel, the political-newsroom thriller “The Bathsheba Deadline” has been running as a serial on Amazon.com — Amazon’s first serialized novel. “The Bathsheba Deadline” has now been published in paperback. The band – Adult Toys:

                      Also, music from Riverside, California, the band Adult Toys. This desert rock band formed in 2012 and recently released the album Black Stream. We talked to all three members Mickey Zolezio (Bass and Vocals), Carlos Bojorquez (Guitar and Vocals), and Chris Conley (Drums) about the new EP while awaiting a pizza delivery.

   Suncrown is an international symphonic / epic metal band formed in 2011 by songwriter and keyboardist Oleg Biblyi (Ukraine) and vocalist Darren Crisp (USA). Later solo guitarist Gustavo Bonfá (Brazil) and bassist Ederson Prado (Brazil) joined the band. In July 2011, Suncrown released their first video clip "Follow Your Dream". In October of that year Suncrown released a video clip in memory of Ronnie James Dio "Suncrown - Children of the Sea (Black Sabbath cover)" with legendary drummer Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath and Heaven & Hell). Female singer Juliana Furlani (Brazil) and drummer Tim Zuidberg (Netherlands) joined 2 months later and brought great performance and energy to the group. In February 2012 the group recorded video clip "Believe" with 2 new members: guitarist Kevin Ellerby (USA) and flute player U?ur Kerem Cemilo?lu (Turkey). In June, the group released a new music video -"Eyes of the World"- which showed the essence of the full group. The first album "Follow your Dream” was released in November 2012 and in the summer of 2013 the band released a new video of a song from the upcoming album "The Beginning Is Near" with new solo and rhythm guitarist Sindre Flo Myskja.   On January 10th, 2014, they released their second album "You're Not Alone".

Musician – Davey Copeland:

                      After spending my whole life looking for the perfect combination of classical music and the love of life embodied in one form of music and the man with the story to go along with it we arrive in Eastern Europe. Well, we are pleased to tell you that in Davey Copeland we have found what we were looking for. We spoke with him about music, traveling around the world, and so much more in Budapest, Hungry. This is one you don't want to miss.

   Acoustic guitarist Joseph Strider has covered a lot of musical ground in his career thus far. From boy soprano in school choirs, to playing with a cover band, Strider has spent the years developing his own unique style, a style that fits in no established genre and can best be described as Modern Indigenous Alternative. With no formal training or instruction, Joseph Strider has had the freedom to explore and develop a very personal relationship with his chosen instrument. That relationship is fully realized with his latest instrumental album 'String Theory'. 'String Theory' is the manifestation of the circle between the mind, hands and guitar, guided by Spirit to be a conduit for the emotions felt by Strider during composition. We caught up with him in in Philadelphia and the conversation was brilliant, he spoke about his NAMMY nominated acoustic guitar work. Music has been filling Joseph’s time for most of his life, receiving his first guitar at only nine years old. Inspired by guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Bruce Cockburn, Tommy Emmanuel, and Andre Segovia, Jimmy Page, the self-taught Strider tells us a little about his career.

                      After spending my whole life in small town Illinois, I moved to big, gritty Chicago. From country roads to “L” trestles and from swallow’s nests and corn fields to stinking alleys.  Something drew me there and kept me there for four years–a need to look the not so pretty in the face and say screw you. Maybe that’s why I developed such an appreciation for those who live there, especially the people of the streets. They’ve been kicked in the face, cursed and, worst of all, ignored and yet they continue to say screw you. They fight to survive, to thrive. I spent twice a week volunteering with Chicago’s homeless, youth in particular, and got to know a few on a personal level that made me want to become a voice for them. I still volunteer and am channeling the lessons I learned on the streets of Chicago. Seattle is surrounded by mountains and ocean and emerald green trees. Solitude and peace can be found a short drive from home. But until the human element can find a way to treat themselves and each other with respect and understanding, there is darkness out there as well.  And it’s how you deal with the darkness that counts. My STREET STORIES series reflects the reality of throw away youth striving to survive. My publication credits include short fiction in Red Herring Mystery Magazine, Downstate Story and City Slab.   

   The Kevin Lucas Orchestra just released "Revelations"!  It is a brand new pop instrumental album with a wide variety of styles featuring virtuoso marimba player and percussionist Kevin Lucas. The first track is 'Passion Grows' composed by producer Matthew Shell. The entire album is captivating from start to finish. It moves through many different musical styles including jazz, rock, new age, Celtic, classical, and world. This album represents the extreme diversity and musical excellence of the Kevin Lucas Orchestra along with plenty of insane mind blowing solos! We caught up with him in Illinois. Enjoy! 

Musician – Sydni Alexander:

                      Sydni Alexander is a passionate sixteen year old singer-songwriter from the DC area. Coming from a humble beginning that includes church and school choirs, her vocals are on point with amazing pitch, unbelievable control, and tonal maturity rarely achieved by a young artist. With influences including Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, John Mayer, and Pink, she brings a fresh variety of sound and lyrics that will surely crossover and gain fans from many genres. Her hobbies include singing, Cross Fit and playing her guitar. In her spare time, Sydni volunteers with One Warm Coat - an organization that collects and distributes coats to families in need.   We talked with her about this and the making of her music. Great interview, very entertaining fun dialogue!

   “We are thrilled to be invited back to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” said Cherokee National Youth Choir Director MaryKay Henderson. “It is very humbling, and our students take the opportunity very seriously. They know they are representing the Cherokee Nation on the Parade route. We talked with Ms. Henderson before they left Oklahoma.

Author – Ellen Kushner:

                      Ellen Kushner is an American writer of fantasy novels. From 1996 until 2010, she was the host of the radio program Sound & Spirit, produced by WGBH in Boston, and distributed by Public Radio International. We spoke with her in New York City about her Swordspoint audiobook series. This was a lot of fun and we are sure you don't want to miss this interview.

   His persona is funny AND non-threatening unlike most comedians. He’s beyond their high school level of pseudo-comedy. Jim has wit and an off-beat point of view. He’s interesting and even when he’s poking fun at his family it’s without cruelty. He turns the “fun” on himself. That’s always endearing. His dancing is delectable as is his obvious great love for his wife…wonderful. The jokes again lie in his amazement that even when she’s being hit on by an Adonis, she always prefers HIM, her husband. AND none of this is saccharine! He has sweetness mixed with an almost nerdy quirkiness, while his sharp inner eye is making fun. We caught up with him in New York City.

Country Band – Western Avenue:

                      For Nikki English, Keith Robertson and Matt Williams, music has been a driving force in their lives for as long as they can remember. Together since 2007, they are the members of Western Avenue, a contemporary country music band from central Ontario. The trio is heading out on a journey following their dreams. Western Avenue is winning over audiences with its new original music, including the catchy first single Highway Headin’ Out of Town, which has been picked up by Canadian country radio and is also available worldwide on iTunes. We talked with them in Canada.  

   When you think of cowboys, and country music, the frozen tundra of Alaska might be the last place on earth to come to mind. However, up-and-coming country artist Doug Briney’s career began there. With two nominations in the 2013 Independent Country Music Association Awards, eight months on the Roots Music Report charts, as well as appearances at Rodeo Alaska, The Iditarod, and the Alaska State Fair, this God-fearing road warrior with the warm baritone voice and love for all things Southern brings his Alaskan persuasion to Nashville. We sat down with Doug in Tennessee where he told us about his new CD Super Country Cowboy. The hits just keep on coming for this Country Music Star.

Director – Benjamin Wilkins:

                      We caught up with Director Benjamin Wilkins in Los Angeles where we talked about his movie The Knife of Don Juan a humorous coming of age story filmed in Peru and premiering at the Austin, Texas, film festival. We also discussed his scary zombie movie Pretty Dead. See the trailer below. It will blow you away.                       “I was born in the tiny town of Campbell River, B.C. and grew up a child of missionary parents in East Africa. By the time I reached high school, I was writing for fun, and slowly getting interested in both reading and writing romance. One thing I would say that makes my writing stand out from others in the romance genre is my strong belief that sex is designed for marriage and marriage alone. My characters are tempted just like anyone else but self-control is of paramount importance to me.” We caught up with Ms. McGuire in Canada where she gave us a lively interview about her books. Musician – Joanne Shenandoah:

   Joanne Shenandoah, Ph.D, is one of Americas most celebrated and critically acclaimed musicians. She is a Grammy Award winner, with over 40 music awards (13 Native American Music awards).  She has captured the hearts and souls of audiences all over the world, from North and South America, South Africa, Europe, Australia and Korea, and has been praised for her work of peace and hope. We spoke with her in New York where she told us about her recent trip to the Middle East where among other things she sang for the Pope. You'll enjoy this one!!!

                      Wouter Kellerman's album Two Voices won the 2011 SAMA (South African Music Award, equivalent to the American Grammy) for 'Best Instrumental Album', reinforcing his status as one of South Africa's foremost musicians. A true crossover artist, Kellerman thrives on experimenting with the shades, textures and colors that his magic flute is capable of painting, and creatively blending them with other instrumentation and vocal sounds. The SAMA-winning flute wizard, who performed at the 2010 FIFA World Cup Closing Ceremony to a global television audience of 700-million people, has spent the past few years cooking up several potent compositions with an array of top South African and other African artists -- and his latest album MZANSI is the result. We spoke with him in South Africa, where he was performing at the Nelson Mandela tribute in front of 80,000 people. Musician – Ricky Kej:

   Ricky Kej is the internationally acclaimed composer of Kamasutra Lounge 1 and 2 (USA), Fiery Drums (Virgin EMI), Mesmerizing Flute (Virgin EMI), and he’s featured in over 100 compilations across the globe. He’s also scored and composed for five Indian feature movies, and over 3000 advertising jingles, including Nike, Levi's, IBM, Fosters, Toyota, Air India, Arrow, and more . . . 

Kej won a 'One Show' award for Advertising Excellence and he’s been a finalist for the Cannes Advertising Award for his Nike jingle. Hailed as a 'World Famous Star in Fusion Music' by Virgin-EMI and as a 'National Youth Icon' in India by the Rotary Club, he composed the score for 2011 Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony. This was the highest rated opening ceremony event in sporting world. A wonderful interview with Ricky Kej in New York with Chrissy McIntrye.

   For a decade, afternoon drive-time radio listeners in Southern California tuned in from 4 to 7 p.m. on 99.5, KKLA, to hear the daily 3-hour, award winning, talk program “Duffy and Company- Live from LA”. The show covered a wide range of social, moral, and political issues of concern to Christians. Duffy drew a large and loyal audience who heard unique daily insights, listened to his timely interviews with known celebrities, and people called-in to discuss important news and critical issues. During his ten year tenure, National Religious Broadcasters nominated Duffy’s radio program four times as “Talk Show of the Year”. In 2000, he was inducted into the Radio and TV Broadcasters Hall of Fame. A veteran of nearly 50 years in radio broadcasting during the ‘60’s, and the heady days of “Top Forty Radio”, Duffy was named “one of America’s top ten radio personalities”.  In the 1970’s, he pioneered the Underground Radio format on FM radio stations from Boston to Los Angeles. He then launched his own management company that included among his clients, the Beach Boys. And if you think he stopped there think again, he wrote the book The Green Tsunami, a common sense approach to environmentalism. He talked about all of this in his insightful charming sometimes hilarious interview.

Beilis and French:

   Lulu French say's I’m a performer and teaching artist. Improv is my specialty - and my passion! It was an interesting journey for me leading up to being an improviser. I was a dancer in my youth, did musical theater during my young adulthood, but then in 1997, I took an improv class and was hooked. Lulu met Brandon Beilis at the Gotham City Improv doing a show called Meet Market. There the two went on many an 'improv' date and realized they had great chemistry together on stage. They decided to team up and created Beilis and French. As a two person team, you are continually aware that, not only are these two funny but they really enjoy each other's company.  

                      In December 2012, Josey released her new single, “Not Pretty Enough,” with veteran engineers Matthew Russo (Hall and Oates) and Larry Gann (Elton John) and producer, Micah Burdick. The single kicked off an anti-bullying campaign, with Josey as national spokesperson for Angels and Doves.  The single was the second most-added at country radio (New Music Weekly) in its first week of release, and it’s currently #29 NMW and #105 Music Row. Josey is continuing with an extensive series of radio, print, and online interviews, as well as taking her live shows to audiences across the Midwest and beyond.  Named as one of the Hottest New Artists in a PDS Entertainment publication, Josey was nominated as Promising Young Artist in the 2013 Independent Country Music Association Awards. One thing is for certain, wherever her music may take her, she will always remain the small-town girl with the rodeo spurs still hanging on her wall. She spoke with us about this and more wonderful girl great interview you don't want to miss this one.                       Linda Chorney was born before the war. She started singing as a fetus. She received a standing ovation in the delivery room and has been singing ever since. Highlights in her career thus far have been breaking the Top 40 Adult Contemporary Charts, and singing for Nelson Mandela, in front of a crowd of 250,000 humans. And of course playing in Sports bars where no one is listening. She say's just because it happened to you, doesn't make it interesting, but sometimes, putting it to music does. She spoke with us about her trip to the Grammy's, her new book “Who the %$^# Is Linda Chorney”. As of the year 2013, she has released six CD's, and three cassettes, and has won a total of zero Grammy's. She has performed on all seven continents, but only one planet. Her goal is to get one Grammy and sing on two planets.  Jiggley Jones:

   Now under the professional direction of MTS Management Group and Michael Stover, who says “Jiggley has that one-of-a-kind sound that I look for in an artist. His songs will touch you and move you with their beautiful lyrics and melodic strength”. Now let’s not let the word “debut” fool you. Just like the title of this four song EP, “No Spring Chicken”, Jiggley himself has lived. “Lets face it, I’m not 18 anymore and thank God for that,” says Jones. “I’m no longer coming from a place that I have to in order to fit in; I’m coming from a place that is different because that is what I’ve become. No tattoos, no piercing, just music, strong and true, music that paints a picture.”

                      Ruth Nolan is a poet and writer whose works have appeared in many literary magazines and anthologies. A former wild land firefighter for the BLM California Desert District, she holds her B.A. in English from California State University, San Bernardino, and M.A. in English/Creative Writing from Northern Arizona University. She is Associate Professor of English at College of the Desert and lives in Palm Desert. She brings us an amazing interview from the Invisible Memoir Project.    Frankie Hernandez:

   Frankie Hernandez has been called "the Latino Stevie Wonder" by the State of Jefferson. His powerful, soulful voice, manic optimism, and catchy and eccentric songwriting have made him an Austin, Texas music scene staple, indispensable touring sideman, Los Angeles session musician, front man and band leader. He has played on stage and recorded with acts such as: Michael Franti and Spearhead, Leftover Salmon, Phish, Seal, Outlawz, Rod Stewart, internationally renowned flamenco guitarist David Broza, David Garza, The Killer Bees, and Chris Chandler to name a few. Some Main Stage appearances: Oregon Country Fair, High Sierra Music Festival, Earthdance, Kerrville Folk Festival, Falconridge Folk Festival, and Santa Monica Earthday Festival. He came into our studios and we had a great conversation and heard some wonderful music.

Sassy Vee:

Following her mother’s radio and music background and several other family members’ footsteps that were in the entertainment business. Sassy started a career in radio first on her tape recorder as a young girl and then she was on All Talk Radio where she started doing a radio show for about 5 years where she became a popular online celebrity and interviewed famous entertainers, authors and celebrities. And now Sassy Vee has us all singing her new dance track she wrote called "I Was Twitterin". Following the path of his influences David Phillips moved from Oklahoma to Los Angeles in search of an audience for his abstract paintings. Discovering a larger art market Phillips' paintings grew in size and detail. Currently represented by the Downtown Art Center Gallery of Los Angeles, and working from his studio in Venice, Phillips' has been featured on CBS, The LA Times, and Seventeen Magazine. His bold abstractions continue to amaze patrons, bring buyers, and captivate collectors. Phillips extraordinary art continues to stand out and offer a unique dichotomy to the current state of the art market. Amazingly he continues to sell, move up in the gallery world, and attract collectors in a market completely saturated with graffiti, urban, and essentially 'non classic in form abstract paintings.' Phillips' work is a reflection of his influences (primarily the Abstract Expressionists painters of the 1950s), and uses Western and Americana themes in the contemporary art world. Essentially every thing in the current market would not result in Phillips' style selling work. However, after an exceptional two years and red hot gallery run, he has sold and grown his audience. He sat down with him in Venice Beach, California.

                      Xander Demos is a high-energy rock and metal guitar player from Pittsburgh, PA. He is fueled by the passion to create melodic songs ranging from rock and metal genres to pop and ambient. Xander normally is associated with the rock and metal world but his versatility allows him to be comfortable in many forms of music. Xander grew up in the decade of decadence and has been a big fan of everything from pop-metal, Top-40, thrash metal, progressive rock and even dance-related music. As long as there was a hook or a melody, he picked up on it. Xander's main influences are Shawn Lane, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, Vinnie Moore, Guthrie Govan, Jason Becker, Neal Schon, Michael Romeo and John Sykes. In the early days, he was fortunate to have some teachers whom he respected and had given him great tools by which to hone his fluid technique. We caught up with him for a high spirited conversation even the dogs got in on it, this one is fun.   Victoria Howard:                                                                                             

Victoria is the author of five books including "Why Women Love Bad Boys," which was featured on "Fox & Friends," "The Sally Jesse Raphael Show," "Good Day Sacramento," and "Good Day L.A." After penning her own relationship column in a local newspaper (Dear Victoria) and hosting her own radio show, she became known as "The Relationship Guru" and "The Bad Boy Expert." Victoria is the founder of the nation's newest live dating game called "Kick 'Em To the Curb" which is the modern day version of the 60's "The Dating Game."  Sex, Lies, and Someone Else's Picture," a set of vivid and factual stories about men and women who have tried Internet dating. The stories are funny, painful, informative, and eye opening

                      Claes Cem started performing at the age of 8 when he picked up his mother’s guitar, inspired by artists such as Paul Simon, Sting, Dave Matthews and John Mayer. From there he’s gone on to travel and play with musicians worldwide, catching the attention of Grammy Award winning engineer and producer Carlos Bedoya. Since 2011, Claes has been working on his first solo album project, entitled “the Momentum Project an International Collaboration.” Most recently, he is returning from Nashville, having just recorded 4 new slammin’ tracks with grammy nominated musician, and award winning producer, Jamie Slocum. We were lucky to get a chance to sit down with him in Denmark and hear all about his newest adventure come along for the ride!!  Sergio Magaña:

Sergio Magaña, “Ocelocoyotl”, is a well-known and respected healer in Mexico City, who has been initiated into the 5,000-year-old Toltec or Toltecayotl lineage of Mesoamerica. The tradition began with the ancient Chichimecas, who transmitted it to Teotihuacans and then Toltecs, who then taught both the Mayans and Aztecs. Sergio is also trained in the Tol shamanic lineage (nahualism) of dreaming knowledge that has been passed on in the oral tradition without interruption from master to student for 1,460 years. The time for these teachings to be unveiled is now and Sergio is one of a few spokespeople asked to share this ancient and hidden wisdom with the world.

                      Blue McKenna, a burned-out novelist and pot grower, is in a funk. Even the novelty of living in a town founded by a polygamist who had 22 wives seems blasé. That's why Blue is only too happy to get involved with a group of socially deranged individuals who gather in Navel, Utah, to participate in a reality TV show called Yikes! The latest audiobook from Adele Park, we were lucky to get a chance to sit down with her, and hear all about this newest adventure. Come along for the ride!!!  Sofia Talvik:

Sofia Talvik is the next rising star from Sweden. She has emerged like a lady of the forest, bringing a new interesting side to folk music. She’s playing a unique blend of folk-pop (someone said Neo-Folk). This American genre filtered through her Swedish heritage, becomes something totally unique, a blend that has attracted attention from American reviewers, blogs and music lovers, allowing her tour the US several times. In 2008, she became the first Swedish female singer to play the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Sofia Talvik was born on an island just off the west coast of Sweden. At the tender age of eighteen she left behind the comfort of home for the bright lights and lonely nights of Stockholm where every experience, good and bad, would soon take the form of a beautiful, funny or heartbreaking story destined to capture the hearts and minds of all who would hear the words when set to Sofia’s gentle, melodic acoustic guitar and minimalist back up of cellos, double bass and soft percussion. We caught up with her in Florida at the end of her tour. You don't want to miss this one!!!  

A feature length motion picture dramatization that chronicles Bobby's legendary life experience as the founding Chairman and national organizer of the Black Panther Party. Bobby Seale is asking his friends and the many millions who know his profound sixties protest movement history to support this independent film production. Being a country musician in Anchorage, Alaska is fun and exciting.  Doug relates to the song, I Was Country, When Country Wasn’t Cool.  Growing up in Southern California, all of his friends were into rock while he was listening to Kenny Rogers, Lee Greenwood, Tom T. Hall, Eddie Arnold, Alabama and Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers.  Today his influences would still include those but he’s added Chris Young, Toby Keith and Ronnie Dunn to his list of major influences.  Doug’s first full CD, titled, “It’s All Country” is now available right now for digital download from iTunes, Amazon or CD Baby. Doug is very happy with this project and believes it will reach out and touch people right where they live.  Songs such as: “Deja Vu” “Second Dance” “It’s More Than Just a Farm” all speak to the things in life that really matter. We spoke with him about everything from making music to sailing!

• Arrr! A Very British Pantomime will open on January 4th, 2013 and run for 5 shows over the weekend. Despite the name, Pantomime isn't miming. “Panto” (as it'saffectionately known in its native Great Britain) is an old traditionwhich owes a lot to the Victorian British Music Hall (think“Vaudeville”). But it's not much like Vaudeville, Music Hall oranything else except, well, more Panto.Most Brits who have ever been to see live theatre startedwith Panto as a youngster. Maybe local amateurs, maybe ahugely prestigious affair with big names from pop music ora TV soap opera. In any case, it'll have been a huge amount offun and often led to a lifelong love of live theatre.Arrr! A Very British Pantomime was written by Gareth John Jones, Directed by Ridley McIntyre and produced by Liz Jones and Chrissy McIntyre. This has been a true labor of love and we're so excited to bring a slice of British culture to the NYC metro area.

Scott Lasser is the author of four novels: Battle Creek, All I Could Get, The Year That Follows and Say Nice Things About Detroit. He recently completed a screenplay adaptation of Say Nice Things About Detroit for Steve Carell's Carousel Productions. His non-fiction has appeared in magazines ranging from Dealmaker (for which he wrote a regular book column) to the New Yorker. He sat down with us to give us a very interesting detail of how he came to write his current novel .

A recognized authority on female musicians and a frequent speaker, Susan addressed the 2004 Tau Beta Sigma National Convention (Norfolk, VA). While living in New Orleans she gave jazzwomen lectures at the Jazz National Historic Park, New Orleans Public Library, Dillard University, and the International Music Colloquium at the Louis Armstrong Festival. She now divides her time between Boston and the Big Easy.
