S2E08: The Spirit of Yehovah Fell

Yehovah shows us in His word that He will empower, direct, give insight, and give spiritual gifts through His Spirit that He provides to those that yield to Him. In this episode we take a look through both the old and new testament of the examples we see where Yehovah provides His spirit to someone obedient to His will in order to facilitate success. We take some time to compare the differences we see between the covenants, and what the evidence suggests in regards to the personhood of Yehovah and Yeshua in context of Yehovahs Spirit.

S2E07: The Spirit of Yehovah

We see throughout the scriptures that Yehovah Himself will correspond with, empower, and change those who trust and follow Him through the presence of His Spirit. Many men in History have tried to turn Yehovah's presence into something more than it is and in doing so provide confusion for those who study the scriptures. In this episode we take a look at the evidence in scripture that Yehovah Himself will dwell with His people in the temple as part of the old covenant, and in our lives and hearts as the temples in the new covenant.

S2E06: Christ, Pre-Existent

We see in scripture that Christ was in existence prior to His incarnation in Bethlehem and that He had conscious thoughts and actions before He came as a Man. This concept is discussed by the authors of the New Testament and we are able to find areas in the Old Testament that lend evidence to this theory. In this episode we discuss what it means for Christ to exist before His visit as the Son of Man and take some time to review some of the evidence seen in the Old Testament that can build the argument that Christ was doing work for Yehovah before His first visit to us as messiah for the lost.

S2E05: Definitions - Begotten & Eternal

We see throughout the scriptures that Jesus is given a specific title by Yehovah, Begotten. Many English Bible translations today have replaced or removed this word for the sake of popular theology. The meaning of this word, as given to us by scripture, paints a picture of Yeshua as a Son of Yehovah who has a different origination than the rest of us who are considered to be Yehovahs children. In this episode we take a look at what this word means according to the bible and why its important to utilize the terms the bible has given us. Jesus Himself tells us where He came forth from and it will help us better understand what His relationship with the Father, Yehovah, really means for us and humanity.

"I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world. Again I leave the world and go to the Father. The disciples said to Him, Lo, now You speak plainly and speak no parable. Now we know that You know all things and do not need that anyone should ask You. By this we believe that You have come forth from God."

S2E04: Definitions Divine & Deity

Scripture shows us that Yehovah has a unique position in relation to creation and that, as His family, we are allowed to take part in that exclusive role. The example we have been given is through the ministry of Jesus during His first visit, empowered by the Holy Spirit, Jesus performed Signs and Miracles and this is a signature that Jesus was from Yehovah and this is the pattern for the life of a New Testament believer. While not knowing the proper biblical definitions for terms like divine and deity won't exclude us from salvation, it will help us avoid the deception that is on the way following the anti-christ and false prophet. In this episode we discuss the characteristics of Yehovah and what makes Him supreme Deity of creation and how Yeshua takes part in that.

S2E03: Definitions - Yehovah LORD

In modern translations of scripture we see that the name of the Father, Yehovah, is often translated as just LORD. There is an important difference between the Fathers name and a title of Lord and in this episode we discuss how we know what the tetragrammaton is properly translated to and why the Almighty God of creation should be referred to by more than just a title when He has provided to us His name.

The term God is used by many Christians as a personal identifier for the God of the bible. In doing this many Christians remain in confusion when trying to understand the role of Yehovah and His begotten son Jesus. S2E01: Season Two Introduction

When we approach scripture and utilize the entire witness to build our views and beliefs, we find that a different picture of many ideas than what is pushed in many congregations and assemblies. As a Berean, the task at hand is to "Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth". In order to accurately handle the word of truth we need to spend the time and effort it takes to build an understanding from the bible as the highest authority we have been given to understand what Yehovah has authored. When it comes to difficult topics like the characteristics of who Yehovah is, His relation to His son Yeshua, and His Presence He has sent to us through His spirit, many people in history have turned to their own understanding, the reasoning and logic of philosophy, or to men of education for a deeper understanding of Yehovah only to introduce confusion into the body of Christ and allow deception to take root.

In this episode we outline the objective for this second season and discuss some of the topics we will be working through in scripture. From proper definitions to examining false authorities that have brought in ideas that defy logic, reason, and break the laws of language as we know it in order to fit a paganized view of Yehovah into the scriptures. Follow along with us this season as we make the biblical case for what Yehovah has told us about Himself and how that can impact our personal relationship with Him today.

S1E33: One Covenant to Eternal Life

Jesus tells us in Luke 22 that His blood would sign and bring to us a new covenant. This covenant would be called the law of liberty by James, and the law of the spirit of life by Paul. With this new covenant we are promised something that could never have been given through the law of sin and death, eternal life and inheritance of the earth with Yeshua at His return. Many Christians today get confused about the requirements of new covenant believers when listening to people who still follow after the old covenant but try to add the new covenant benefits to their blindness. In this episode we discuss some of the different things the bible shows us about how eternal salvation, immortality, and the presence of Yehovah in our lives today are a result of a new covenant. When we look backwards to a lesser standard we run the risk of cutting ourselves off from Christ.

S1E32: A Different Gospel

The bible warns us that there are many other messages that are in the world that disguise themselves as a gospel of Christ. As a Holy Spirit filled believer we are responsible for examining every teacher and ministry we follow against the standard of the bible. If we see behaviors that do not emulate Christ or His apostles and the writings of the bible we need to be willing to cut those things out of our lives. If we do not take this responsibility seriously we run the risk of being deceived by a gospel that only includes a partial truth or a counterfeit gospel. In this episode we examine a Sunday service visit in one of America's more well-known assemblies.

"I am amazed how quickly you are deserting the One who called you by the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—which is not even a gospel. Evidently some people are troubling you and trying to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be under a curse! As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be under a curse!"

S1E31: End Times Timeline

Jesus and the apostles all discuss the end of the age and the return of Christ to some degree. If we are diligent in our study of the word we will be able to piece together the timeline of the events leading up to and surrounding the return of Yeshua to the world. In this episode we take a look at the different events that are discussed throughout scripture that need to take place before we can see the return of Yeshua. Some events we can see in history as fulfilled, some we are still waiting to see, and some we can see unfolding before us in the news. We shouldn't be in the dark about the time we live in, we have been given the plan before hand so that we can prepare our faith accordingly.

"For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it."

S1E30: Imminent Return of Christ

A very popular belief held by the majority of the church today is that we should always be ready for the return of Yeshua because it is imminent. This belief is not a new concept but has been recently revived in the last few centuries. This belief generates uncertainty and fear in people who should be living in peace and joy regardless of the goings on in the world. In this episode we take a look at where this concept came from and what the bible speaks of in regards to the return of Yeshua, who will bring reward for those in faith and vengeance for the wicked.

S1E29: Agenda of Christ’s Return

The bible provides an image of a series of events surrounding the return of Christ. Some people only focus on the topics that they like to see and tend to avoid the others that might come off as less palatable. Paul tells us in his second letter to Thessaloniki that when Jesus returns He would not just be bringing salvation and comfort to those who are His but that He also would bring a fiery vengeance from Yehovah to the world. Jesus is the judge and executioner for mankind and there are some specific actions that prophecy tells us He will come to fulfill. In this episode we take a look at the highlights of what Jesus will be doing when He returns beyond just rewards and rapture.

S1E28: Conditional Immortality

Scripture outlines a concept that eternal life is a gift given exclusively to those who are born again. This concept has been overtaken by Greek philosophies that man has an immortal soul that is encased in these dirt vessels, this concept made its way into the church in the first few centuries following the apostles and has cemented itself among verses out of context. In this episode we take a look at the idea that we are not immortal by default as well as pick apart some of the bad theology that is built upon this non-biblical foundation.

"I charge you before God (who makes all things alive) and in the sight of Christ Jesus (who witnessed the good confession to Pontius Pilate), that you keep the commandment without spot and without blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. S1E27: Resurrections

Paul writes to the church in Corinth that if Christ was not raised from the dead then the apostles proclamation of salvation is worthless, and your faith is also worthless. The resurrection of Jesus is one of the most important claims of history and the foundation to the promises we have been given. If Yehovah has raised Jesus from the dead then we can trust that when He promises to do the same for us in the future, that it will happen. As Christians we must know what promises we have been given and trust in the one who gave us the promises, Yehovah. In this episode we take a look at the different resurrections in scripture and what we need to know and understand about the resurrection of Christ.

S1E26: Tribulation, Wrath, & Evil

How we define terms that we use to form our understanding of life will impact our ability to find understanding according to Yehovahs truth of the bible. If we don't define terms using scripture then we run the risk of developing incorrect ideas on a nonbiblical foundation and the fruit of our lives will reflect such. In this episode we take some time to define terms again, this time in context of the struggles we will face and how those general struggles are different than the wrath Yehovah has promised to pour out in the future. Jesus' words are clear that those alive at the end of the age will suffer persecution and tribulation, if we have confused terms we are likely to think that doesn't include us.

S1E25: Daniels 70th Week

In Daniel chapter 9, we see a vision recorded regarding a prophecy including a timeline. Daniel is shown a period of 70 weeks with details about how and when they are to take place. The primary focus of this vision is the coming of the messiah and events surrounding the end of the age. In this episode we zoom in to the final 7 year period that is detailed through Daniel to talk about what it entails, what we need to be looking for to signal the starting of this period, and important events that will let us know where we are in the timeline of this age.

"Seventy weeks are decreed as to your people, and as to your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make atonement for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy. Know, then, and understand that from the going out of a word to restore and to rebuild Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks and sixty two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction. And after sixty two weeks, Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself. And the people of a coming ruler shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its end shall be with the flood, and ruins are determined, and war shall be until the end. And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease. S1E24: The Bride of the Lamb

Christianity has been consistently attacked since it's birth with the messiah. The primary form of attack has been through compromise of the biblical truth with the philosophies, pride, and wisdom of men. The bible gives an image of a new city coming down from heaven after the world has been destroyed with fire and John writes that it is this city that is described as the bride of the lamb. In this episode we take a look at the popular idea that the church is the bride of Christ and why that doesn't line up with the entire witness of scripture. We take some time to compare what the bible tells us about our role in our relationship to Christ and the dangers of false theologies that feed into pride and ego.

S1E23: Current Events

While Jesus was here, He rebuked the Pharisees for not being able to see the signs and discern the events around His coming as their messiah. During His ministry he continually shared parables and even directly told His followers to be watching regarding the signs of His return. He along with the authors of the bible record multiple signs for us to be looking for that signal the end of the age and His second coming. In this episode we take a look at some current events at the tail end of this year that should strike a chord for those who are diligently watching for the signs of the times we are in. From the dedication of a new altar the Hebrews can start using for morning and evening sacrifices to the preparation and anticipation of a near messiah to be anointed we cover a short list of the current goings-on in the middle east.

"But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need for it to be written. For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord, as a thief in the night, so it comes. For when they say, Peace and safety! Then suddenly destruction comes upon them, like the travail to the one having babe in womb, and not at all shall they escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of day; we are not of night, nor of darkness. So then, we should not sleep, as the rest also do, but we should watch and be sober."

S1E22: Yovel

In Leviticus 25 Yehovah outlines for His people that on the day of Atonement in the seventh month the people were to cause the trumpet of Jubilee(Yovel) to sound in the land after seven sabbath years to declare the 50th year a time of Jubilee. This period of time is a time of reconciliation, debt forgiveness, and freedom. In this episode we discuss why this is important in light of the coming kingdom as well as what we can expect to see leading into this time that Christ will ultimately declare and usher in, ending the time of toil.

"The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to preach the acceptable year of Jehovah and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; so that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that He might be glorified. S1E21: Shmita

Yehovah directed the Hebrews to provide the land with rest after 6 years of working the soil. This wasn't just an arbitrary rule to make His people follow but a time for the land to rejuvenate and an image of what He planned to do in the future for His people. In the Kingdom we see the evidence of a sabbath not just for Yehovahs people, but for the earth as well. In this episode we take a look at what that means for us as believers and what we can look forward to in the coming kingdom.

"You shall sow your field six years, and you shall prune your vineyard six years, and shall gather its produce. And in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest to the land, a sabbath to Jehovah. You shall not sow your field, and you shall not prune your vineyard."

S1E20: Yom Kippur

We are told in scripture that on the 10th day of the 7th month on Yehovahs calendar (Ethanim) that a day of atonement would be held for all generations for the Hebrews. This is considered a Holy day by Yehovah because it was the only day of the year the High Priest could enter into the Holy of Holies to be in Yehovahs presence to be directed and counseled on what they need to do as His people. Tradition holds to this day also being a day of judgement in finality. That your fate will be sealed for either eternal life or destruction. In this episode we take a look at why this day is so important in the timeline of the return of Christ and how it ties in to Yom Teruah which takes place just a few days prior.

S1E19: Yom Teruah

Scripture shows us that Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for not being able to discern the time that had arrived, the signs of the messiah and the evidence that Jesus was the one prophesied to come. Scripture also points to the fact that Jesus will return and we have also been given signs to look for to warn of the second coming of Jesus. The moedim of Leviticus 23 are the foundation to the understanding of end times study and Yom Teruah is a specific time that Jesus alluded to regarding His return. In this episode we take a look at the appointed time of Yehovah that is focused on the message of repentance and the return of the king to take His throne.

"...in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed."

S1E18: Political Correctness

Gods word tells us that the world will suppress the truth of the gospel in their wickedness. We are seeing a pandemic of political correctness in America that is creeping in to the groups that are supposed to be following Christ. In this episode we take a detour to discuss the issue of the world pressuring the Christian body to compromise on their ideals and convictions, or to validate and advocate for sinful or wicked behaviors. What do we do to stand firm for the truth? Why is it such an issue for believers to hold the line and not compromise in what God has said is right or wrong? God gives us the formula to success in His word, it's our responsibility to dig that out and apply it to our lives.

"The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness. For what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood from His workmanship, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images of mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles."

S1E17: The Kingdom Now Or Later?

There are many ideas floating around the body of believers today about when or how the kingdom will exist. Some argue it's strictly spiritual and has already come and gone starting in the first century, others claim we are responsible for cleaning things up before Jesus can return to establish the kingdom, and some make the claim that the bible didn't mean what it said when it tells us the kingdom will be a physical theocracy headquartered in Jerusalem and will last for 1000 literal years. In this episode we cover some of the surface level issues with these ideas and look at what the bible actually says about the future kingdom to come.

"I was looking in the night visions. And behold! One like the Son of Man came with the clouds of the heavens. And He came to the Ancient of Days. And they brought Him near before Him. And dominion was given to Him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed."

S1E16: Satan Bound A Thousand Years

John writes in revelations that Satan is bound and thrown into the abyss before the kingdom is established. In this episode we take a look at what scripture talks about in relation to this binding and what we can understand about the why behind this event. Scripture tells us that the kingdom will be a time of peace and prosperity, with the main rebel and his team taken care of, this can be a reality.

"Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the Abyss, holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years. And he threw him into the Abyss, shut it, and sealed it over him, so that he could not deceive the nations until the thousand years were complete. S1E15: The Kingdom of Heaven is Like

Throughout the ministry of Jesus, He gives us multiple parables that illustrate the different characteristics of the Kingdom of Yehovah and the events leading up to it. In this episode we take a look at some of the different parables and the meaning behind them and how we can better understand the Kingdom to come.

"Again, the kingdom of Heaven is compared to a drag net thrown into the sea, and gathering together of every kind; which, when it was filled, drawing it up on the shore, and sitting down, they gathered the good into containers, and they threw out the rotten. So it will be in the completion of the age: the angels will go out and will separate the evil from the midst of the righteous, and will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth."
