For weary Dolphins fans, the press conference struck a positive tone, with Sullivan stressing his desire to build the team through the draft and only using free agency only for "difference makers" and even then, not until the team is in a better place from a cap perspective.

Hafley struck a similar tone, stating that his core principles are trust, belief, accountability, and toughness.

Both men stressed the need to develop strong play on both lines of scrimmage. More important than the result itself on Sunday was HOW the team won: with numerous young players making significant contributions. De'Von Achane was fabulous again, as was Jaylen Wright. Andrew Meyer made his first career start at Center for na injured Aaron Brewer. Zeek Biggers blocked a field goal. And, perhaps most importantly, Quinn Ewers played a good game at QB. While the latter certainly won't be enough to shut down any outside competition coming in, it was sufficient to secure his role as a viable option heading into camp.

Raise your voices and sing the song – the Miami Dolphins absolutely crushed the NY Jets in Week 14 to improve to 6-7 and keep their fleeting playoff hopes alive. 

Mike McDaniel's reinvented Dolphins team (mostly) attacked the Jets on the ground, rushing for a season-high 239 yards on 41 attempts. De'Von Achane was lighting it up before leaving the game with a rib injury. The Dolphins, however, barely lost a step as Jaylen Wright stepped up a delivered his best game as a pro.

It was a day when it was easy to celebrate, but there were still a few head-scratching calls from McDaniel and some even more questionable execution from QB1, but the Dolphins will be pleased to have completed their fourth straight victory.

The Miami Dolphins played their best game of the season and WHOOPED the Buffalo Bills 30-13 in Week 10. They offered solid performances in all three phases and were helped by Buffalo committing uncharacteristic errors.

The result was satisfying for a good portion of the Dolphins' fan base, offering catharsis in a season where it's been hard to come by.

Of course, for others, this performance was meaningless, moving the Dolphins down the 2026 draft board and keeping the door cracked open to possibly retain head coach Mike McDaniel beyond the current campaign.

For the Dolphins, the week leading up to the game has been particularly noisy. Tua's comments to the press following Sunday's loss caused a significant uproar, but trade rumors have begun swirling as well. Add that to the rampant speculation that Mike McDaniel and Chris Grier are nearing the end of their time with the Dolphins and you have an organization struggling to hear itself think and focus through a cacophony of distractions.

And, once again, we saw familiar themes. A struggling defense, a disjointed offense, a failure to adjust, and a team incapable of closing the deal. There is plenty of culpability to go around: your WR1 can't consistently catch the ball cleanly, the defense is absolute trash against the run, the offensive line struggles to execute, the "franchise" QB misses open receivers and throws crucial interceptions, and the head coach seemingly has no control over the team as a whole.

There is possibly no greater illustration of this last point than the "franchise" QB calling out "leadership" and players showing up late to players-only meetings. There is a culture of finger pointing and blame casting inside the Miami Dolphins locker room and that is the responsibility of the head coach.
