Gwynne Jackson writes across multiple genres. Jamieson Ridenhour is the writer and producer of the popular audio drama Palimpsest, the author of the werewolf murder-mystery Barking Mad, and writer and director of the award-winning short horror films Cornerboys and The House of the Yaga. His ghost play Grave Lullaby was a finalist for the Kennedy Center’s David Cohen Playwriting award in 2012. Jamie’s short fiction and poetry has appeared in Strange Horizons, Andromeda Spaceways Magazine, TheNewerYork, Across the Margins, Mirror Dance, and Architrave, among others, and has been podcast on Pseudopod, Cast of Wonders, and Radio Unbound.  His newest play, Bloodbath: Victoria’s Secret, premiered in October of 2021. Jamie has a Ph.D. in Victorian Gothic fiction. In addition to publishing scholarly articles on Dickens, LeFanu, and contemporary vampire film, he edited the Valancourt edition of Sheridan LeFanu’s Carmilla (2009) and wrote a book-length study of urban gothic fiction, In Darkest London (Scarecrow, 2014). He has taught writing and literature for over twenty years, currently at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, NC.

Some of the tales in David Allen Voyles' collections of original horror stories, The Thirteenth Day of Christmas and Tales from the Hearse were those he told while conducting tours for his ghost tour company, Dark Ride Tours in Asheville, NC. Having taught literature for thirty years, Voyles is no stranger to weird tales and horror fiction in general. His lifelong obsession with Halloween ensured that it was just a matter of time before he published his own tales of terror. In addition to publishing his stories in various anthologies, he is also the creator of the horror podcast, Dark Corners with David Allen Voyles.

Annie McQuaid is a Boston native, but grew up in North Carolina where the winters are much easier to handle! Kaytalin Platt is an author and graphic designer living in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Platt was raised on a farm in rural Deer Park, Alabama—a place which offered inspiration for her short stories Eleanor and Only God Can Tell. Platt’s debut novel, The Living God, was published in 2019, with the follow-up arriving in 2021. She has several short stories appearing in Writing Bloc anthologies, and the third installment to her Equitas series arrives late 2022.

April Moore is former director of Northern Colorado Writers, an association for writers offering classes, workshops, and an annual conference. She is also the author of Folsom's 93: The Lives and Crimes of Folsom Prison's Executed Men (Linden Publishing 2013). She is also the author of several articles, essays, a women's fiction, and a young adult manuscript that is impatiently awaiting edits. April is currently working with a new publisher on a revised edition of Folsom's 93, set for publication in Fall 2023, and will graduate summa cum laude (if all goes well) in June 2022 with her bachelors in Criminal Justice.

Jane Ann Turzillo combines her love of history with her fascination of true crime on her blog and in her books. David E. Sharp is a noisy librarian. Having grown up on the windy plains of the Texas panhandle, David learned early on how to make his own fun. He also discovered a love for storytelling, a rich and vibrant artform with cultural roots all over the world. 

Among his early writings was a ransom note to his high school algebra teacher in poison pen, delivered with an enclosed photograph of a text book tied to a chair. While this was wildly entertaining, it lacked the plot and structure of his later writings.

Sharp has authored a number of short stories and launched a series of novels. His first book, Lost on a Page, chronicles the plight of fictional characters from various genres who seek to murder their authors. Had this been an autobiographical work, David E. Sharp might not be with us today.

Matt Harry is an author, editor, screenwriter, and playwright. He graduated from the University of Southern California with an MFA in Film Production, and has worked for ABC, CBS, Sony, and HGTV. He has edited over 20 novels, several of which have gone on to win awards or be optioned for television and film. In 2019, he wrote and directed an interactive romantic comedy called Somebody to Love. He has also written the novels Sorcery for Beginners, Cryptozoology for Beginners, and Superkid. Yasmin Azad who was born and raised in Ceylon, (now called Sri Lanka), was among the first group of girls in her Muslim community to go away from home to pursue a university degree.  In her twenties, after a brief stint as a lecturer, she married and moved to the United States. Living mostly in the Boston area, she raised her children and worked for over two decades as a mental health counselor. Her memoir Stay, Daughter, draws on her experiences growing up in a warm and close-knit but conservative society which at first resisted the education and independence of women but had, eventually, to embrace modernity. It is also informed by an understanding derived from her work as a counselor in the West, that the breakdown of traditional family values and structures comes with its own challenges, especially for women. She is currently working on a novel which explores the issues of family and belonging.

Esther Amini is a writer, painter, and psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice. Her debut memoir is entitled Concealed: Memoir of a Jewish-Iranian Daughter Caught Between the Chador and America. Her short stories have appeared in Elle, Lilith, Tablet, The Jewish Week, Barnard Magazine, TK University’s Inscape Literary, Proximity, Paper Brigade, and Medium.com.   Her essays can also be found in Zibby Owens’ Anthologies Moms Don’t Have Time To and Moms Don’t Have Time To Have Kids.

Esther Amini was named one of Aspen Words’ best emerging memoirists and awarded its Emerging Writer Fellowship in 2016.  Seven of her pieces have been performed by Jewish Women’s Theatre, (a.k.a. The Braid), in Los Angeles and in Manhattan, and she was chosen by Jewish Women’s Theatre as their Artist-in-Residence in 2019. Megan Culhane Galbraith is a writer and visual artist. Amy Rivers is an award-winning self-published author and the Director of Northern Colorado Writers. Micaela Green is a writer and artist curious about the stories that can be found in the relationships around us. She has had artwork previously exhibited at The Hermitage Museum in Norfolk, Virginia. When not working on an MFA in Fiction at Vermont College of Fine Arts, she is hanging out with her dog Milo in Charleston, South Carolina.

Kyle Winkler is the author of the cosmic horror novella The Nothing That Is. He has published a range of stories in Conjunctions, The Rupture, Annalemma, Novel Noctule, & one forthcoming from Coffin Bell, among many other places. He's an Assistant Professor of English at Kent State University at Tuscarawas. He received a Ph.D. in Composition and Rhetoric from the University of Pittsburgh and an MFA from Washington University in St. Louis. He lives in NE Ohio. 

Some of the tales in David Allen Voyles' collections of original horror stories, The Thirteenth Day of Christmas and Tales from the Hearse were those he told while conducting tours for his ghost tour company, Dark Ride Tours in Asheville, NC. Having taught literature for thirty years, Voyles is no stranger to weird tales and horror fiction in general. His lifelong obsession with Halloween ensured that it was just a matter of time before he published his own tales of terror. In addition to publishing his stories in various anthologies, he is also the creator of the horror podcast, Dark Corners with David Allen Voyles.
